In the 92nd minute, Demarai Gray broke through and forced Ramsdale to dive low to keep the ball out.
The Englishman made the stop and then quickly reacted to deny Tom Davies on two occasions before the defence eventually cleared the ball.
Considering Arsenal were four goals up at that point, thanks to goals for Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and two from Gabriel Martinelli, it would have been easy for Ramsdale to have switched off.
And Gooners have taken to social media to heap praise on the England international.

Some even questioned how Everton’s Jordan Pickford is still Gareth Southgate’s first choice between the sticks?
One tweeted: “Triple save actually. Man wanted that clean sheet desperately.”
A second commented: “Bro said that clean sheet is mine.”
A third wrote: “That 2nd one was absolutely golden man.”

While a fifth added: “Ramsdale was the better England keeper tonight.”
The win for Arsenal has boosted their title hopes as the club are now five points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
They are also 11 points ahead of Manchester United in third, although have played one more game.

Arteta’s side will now be hoping to maintain that advantage or even extend it as they prepare for their next four league games against Bournemouth, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Leeds.
And Morgan, a huge Arsenal supporter, has hailed the performances from his team.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “I’ve never seen the Emirates as loud and universal in it’s support for a team and manager as it is now.
“The media are loving the way Arsenal are playing. We got spoilt in the first eight years under Wenger in the way they played.

“I think this is the best quality of football and best squad we’ve had since the Invincibles days.
“Are we going to win the league? We’ll see, but there are only 13 games left.
“Our next four games are relatively easy and I say that not taking games lightly.
“If City were to trip up and we go eight points clear… I’ll leave the rest to you.”

Arsenal have not won the Premier League since Arsene Wenger’s men went unbeaten throughout the 2003-04 campaign.
And the likes of Gary Neville have questioned whether this crop of Gunners stars have what it takes to clinch the title.
But SunSport columnist Morgan has very little doubt about anyone in the squad.
He added: “My argument for the last 18 years has been there have been so many weak links in the team.

“You’d see Arsenal go out against the bigger clubs: Chelsea, United, City, whatever. There were always weaknesses in those starting XIs.
“I don’t see any weaknesses now. I just see a mixture of youth and experience, players who’ve got the right attitude now.”

He said: “This win is a statement that we’re here and we want to continue like this.
“What I like is that everyone has the enthusiasm to do it and we’re not going to stop.
“We’re where we are in the table because of the way we work, we have really good players and a good connection that adds to everything.
“There’s a lot of expectations but we will just focus on what we can control and let the rest happen naturally.

“When I look at them I see how much they want it every single day and how much they want to please our people.
“I had no doubt that we would turn things around and I am really pleased with where the team are now.
“Tonight I was very happy with the way we dealt with our game in hand against an opponent that we knew would make life really difficult for us.
“We started the game with some frustration and we needed a magic moment from Bukayo Saka to unlock things.

“The timing of the two goals just before-half was key and after that we grew and deserved to win the game.”
Everton had started a serious Arsenal wobble last month when his side notched a shock-and-awe win over Mikel Arteta’s men in his first game.
Defeat on Merseyside on February 4 had sparked a run of just one point from a possible nine as Arsenal briefly lost the leadership to Manchester City.
But now, courtesy of Bukaya Saka’s opener, a double from Gabriel Martinelli and a Martin Odegaard strike, the Gunners are five points clear at the summit after three straight wins.
This was Everton’s 100th League defeat by Arsenal and a result that leaves them in a ton of trouble in the relegation zone.
Boss Sean Dyche said: “For 40 minutes we were doing well against a top side, but then we gave them a soft goal and it was hard to legislate for their second.
“I’ve got no explanation for that one and I was super frustrated to come in at half-time 2-0 down.
“There’s been too many soft goals conceded since I’ve been here and too many individual errors.

“But that’s been a problem for a while and there’s no easy fix. We need to bring the mentality we show in home games into our away performances.
“There’s a chance that Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be back for the game against Nottingham Forest at the weekend but we can’t pin all our hopes of scoring on one player.” More

Ivan Toney slams FA for ‘leaking’ gambling charge investigation as he faces lengthy ban

IVAN Toney has slammed the FA for “leaking” news of his gambling charge admissions.Toney faces a lengthy ban, likely to extend into next season, after admitting a number of the 362 separate charges against him.

Betting on any games is a breach of FCA regulations and Toney is charged with placing the wages between 2017 and 2021.
But the Brentford striker went on the attack as he posted a statement condemning Wembley beaks over the news of his guilty pleas.
Toney said: “I was shocked and disappointed to see press speculation yesterday and today about the FA investigation process concerning me after I had been told by the FA it was a confidential process until any decision has been made.
“It is especially disturbing for me to read that the FA has said I shall be banned for six months before there has even been a hearing.

“And it does make me worried about the process.”
The frontman added: “My lawyers will be writing to the FA to request that they conduct a leak enquiry as this is the second time stories have appeared in the newspapers.
“The last time was just before the selection of the England World Cup squad.
“As I continue to be told the investigation is meant to be confidential I am unable to provide any further comment and shall continue to concentrate on my football.”

SunSport understands an independent commission hearing is likely to take place in the coming weeks with a ban virtually certain now the striker has admitted to the offences.
But his statement will put pressure on the FA head of that hearing and is likely to see his lawyers arguing a for a more lenient punishment. More

Roy Keane blasts West Ham defenders for acting ‘like they’re in Starbucks’ for Man Utd goal

ROY KEANE blasted the West Ham defenders for acting “like they’re in Starbucks” for Manchester United’s equalising goal. The Hammers took a second-half lead at Old Trafford in the FA Cup fifth round as the London club looked set to end United’s quadruple dream.

But three goals after the 77th minute saw the Red Devils rescue the game and get through to the quarter-finals where they will play Fulham.
Man United legend Keane was not happy with his former club at half-time but turned his fire onto West Ham after the game ended.
The ex-midfielder, 51, was shocked with the London club’s slack defending before Nayef Aguerd headed the ball into his own net.
He said on ITV: “[The West Ham defenders] are having a little discussion … like they’re in Starbucks.

“Come and take people out! Come with violence, that’s your job.”
He was asked by presenter Mark Pougatch if United had “got away with one”.
Keane said: “Yeah they have. But they’ve earned the right. The manager’s made a huge gamble with all the changes, it looked like it was going to backfire.
“But they sorted themselves out, made one or two changes, started doing what they’re good at.”

Keane was also not impressed with West Ham’s spurned chances at both 0-0 and 1-0 – and even compared them to Tottenham.
He added: “They come, they get a bit giddy, they have opportunities. It’s loads of teams – not just West Ham but the Spurs’ of this world.
“They come to Old Trafford, they have a little bit of possession, one or two chances, get all excited and end up getting beaten.”
West Ham were the better team in the first half with Antonio spurning a huge chance at 0-0.
But Said Benrahma scored a beauty after 54 minutes to leave United on the rocks.
Casemiro and others were impressive when they came off the bench but it was one of the starters, Alejandro Garnacho, who stole the game.
The 18-year-old cut inside and scored a beauty to give United the lead before Fred scored another deep into stoppage side. More

LEICESTER CITY Premier League-winning defender, Danny Simpson, claims Mark Clattenburg refused to SEND OFF a player as he wanted the Foxes to win the league. The Midlands club had a season for the history books in 2015/16, winning the Prem after narrowly avoiding relegation the season prior.

Simpson, 36, played 30 times in the Prem for the Foxes in their historic season.
The Englishman says then Prem referee, Clattenburg, refused to send a Leicester player off because he wanted them to win the league.
Speaking on Under The Cosh, Simpson said: “I remember Clattenburg mate. Wow.

Liverpool 2 Wolves 0: Stalwarts Van Dijk and Salah score to see Klopp’s men clinch vital win

YOU could forgive Liverpool’s fans for not exactly relishing their trips to Anfield these days.Despite a deserved win over Wolves, there will still be a few nagging fears over what lies in store when Manchester United rock onto Merseyside on Sunday.
Mo Salah celebrates his goal v WolvesCredit: Reuters
Yet just a week after the Reds suffered a famous European night at home but for all the wrong reasons – a 5-2 humiliation by Real Madrid – Jurgen Klopp’s team kept alive those hopes of a top four spot.
Like so many occasions since he arrived at the club five years ago, just when they needed him, Virgil van Dijk came to the rescue although this was at the other end.
Just when you got the feeling it was not going to be the club’s night, with Darwin Nunez having seen a goal ruled out for a foul, van Dijk broke Wolves’ resistance with Mo Salah getting the second four minutes later.
Liverpool still have a chance of gatecrashing the top four like two years ago, when they needed a header from Alisson against West Brom to keep them on course.
    READ MORE FOOTBALL NEWS
There is still plenty of time to go and they have narrowed the gap with Spurs to six points and they have a game in hand.
But for large periods last night, Liverpool still looked like the team without any fizz.
Little wonder they had managed just 25 goals in their previous 11 Premier League games at home with nine of those coming against Bournemouth.
Compare that to last season when Liverpool had the most ferocious record at home, with 14 wins, five draws and 49 goals scored.

After a really dodgy couple of results, the most important thing here is that they found a way to win.
Wolves, who beat Liverpool 3-0 at Molineux just 25 days earlier, will have fancied their chances of getting a point at half-time but in the second half, they simply did not create enough.
Darwin Nunez returned after missing the awful goalless draw with Palace due to a shoulder injury and he does improve the team, despite also being a frustrating player.
Equally, Liverpool still looked dodgy at the back and Alisson had to be on his toes to keep out a decent effort by Joao Moutinho

Stefan Bajcetic, who had already been applauded by the home crowd on a few occasions with some mature play beyond his 18 years, continues to look a real player.
Yet he found himself booked for a late challenge on Matheus Nunes and that put the brakes on the teenager’s game..
A lively-looking Salah provided Liverpool’s greatest attacking threat and he gave left-back Hugo Bueno the runaround.
In one Salah raid down the right, Bueno suffered an injury and he had to be replaced by  Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The comedy moment of the first half came when Salah and Moutinho had a tussle with each other ahead of a home corner. Salah then gave Moutinho such a barge that he fell backwards, bounced into team-mate Sa and ended up on his backside.
Harvey Elliott, rewarded with a start after a positive impact against Palace, wasted the best chance but steered Nunez’s cross comfortably wide.
And in first half stoppage time, Elliott’s bobbling, awkwards shot looked set to bounce into the bottom corner until Sa got a big left hand to the effort.
Nunez missed a free header from the resulting corner with Wolves’ fans singing: “you’re just a sh*t Andy Carroll”.
Liverpool, who had 60 per cent possession in the first half, were not given too many problems by Wolves who unleashed Adama Traore and his oiled-up arms.
Elliott had another chance and Liverpoll created nothing until the midway point of the second half.
Nunez thought he had put Liverpool ahead but after that VAR check, ref Tierney agreed that Diogo Jota had fouled Kilman.
But Liverpol were rewarded for their persistence and Wolves could not really complain.
It was a case of second time lucky for van Dijk who saw his initial effort saved by Sa but Jota was first to the loose ball and pulled the ball across the face of goal to give the Dutchman an easy header..
And just four minutes later, Salah, sealed the three points,
Alisson hammered the ball up , Kostas Tsimikas tore down the left and his cross was turned into the goal by the thigh of Salah.

So, unlike seven days earlier and that embarrassment to Real, Klop was all smiles.
Equally, he knows some much tougher tests are around the corner – starting with their biggest game of the season in three days’ time. More
