Fans were not the only ones stunned to see him as Rio Ferdinand called him a “giant” when he saw him in person.
The England international is in high demand going into the summer transfer window.
It is expected that he will leave the Bundesliga side in a big-money move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Although the LaLiga giants were reported not to be willing to stump up the £130million believed to be required to land the star.
This could mean that the club will try to convince him to wait another year before making his move.
Therefore they would be able to pay less for his services as he would be in the last year of his contract. More

Cheeky Jamie Carragher mocks Man Utd with drink live on air after Liverpool’s 7-0 demolition

JAMIE CARRAGHER devoured a can of 7up live on air to mock Manchester United after their 7-0 defeat to Liverpool. The former Liverpool defender, appearing on CBS’ coverage of the Champions League, repeatedly made references to the number seven while speaking to ex-United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.
Jamie Carragher made another dig at Man United’s defeat to Liverpool

Carragher said: “We are getting to stage in the Champions League, we are in March, the 7th of March, these games are really cut-throat in March on the 7th.”
While saying all of this he could be seen with a can of 7up in front of him on his desk.
Schmeichel was not having it though as he joked back: “I’m sure that was a great question, but we can’t hear you, I can see that you are talking but we can’t hear you.”
Carragher was not done with the taunts though as he persisted on a new line of questioning about Jude Bellingham.

He said: “Let me ask you another question, Jude Bellingham is there tonight, a superstar, we feel like he is going to move on.
“What type of price tag are we talking about here, it would have to start with a seven and go from there.”
He then added: “Peter, you are going to be at AC Milan tomorrow and it will be huge if they went out.
“We are talking about the seven-times winners, I mean seven times to win the Champions Leagues.”

Asensio, 27, is out of contract this summer after spending the last seven seasons at the Bernabeu.
He has bagged 55 goals in 266 games for Los Blancos, winning three titles and three Champions Leagues in the process.
But Sport claims Asensio is fuming over his lack of minutes this term.
His 31 appearances have mainly come from the bench.

And Asensio is unlikely to renew his Real deal after being left “very angry.”
That has opened the door for a potential free transfer to Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta is keen to boost his squad with experienced, quality players.
And the Gunners have already held talks with Asensio’s people over a move to England.

AC Milan have also made contact with Jorge Mendes, who became Asensio’s agent last year.
But it’s believed the player harbours a secret wish to join Real’s rivals Barcelona.
Xavi Hernandez is said to be a big fan of Asensio.
And the player himself would have no issue making the infamous switch.
Talking about Asensio’s Real Madrid future, boss Carlo Ancelotti said last month: “He looks good to me, I don’t know if he will stay or not.
“He may or may not stay, I don’t know, I don’t care much.
“We have a very important challenge this season. The important thing is that he is contributing like last year.
“Let him continue like this and the club will make the most appropriate decision.” More

Haaland, 22, has enjoyed a stunning debut season in England following last summer’s £51.2million move from Borussia Dortmund.
The hitman has netted an incredible 27 goals in just 25 league matches.
And he hopes to end his first campaign under Pep Guardiola with at least one piece of silverware.
However, it appears Haaland is also taking a keen interest in football outside England’s top flight.

City teammate Julian Alvarez claims the global superstar is a big fan of Argentine football.
And there’s one team in particular that has caught Haaland’s eye.
It’s claimed he is a big fan of Boca Juniors, the two-time former home of legendary late striker Diego Maradona.
Alvarez, ironically an icon at Boca’s fierce rivals River Plate, was left stunned by Haaland’s enthusiasm for the Buenos Aires giants.

And he reckons it stems from the Norwegian’s time sharing a dressing at Dortmund with Argentina defender Leonardo Balerdi, who is now at Marseille.
Alvarez, who hopes to convert Haaland into a River fan, told TyC Sports: “Beyond what we all know about football, Haaland is a good boy.
“He helps me, we talk and from the outside I try to look at him to learn.
“Since I arrived he told me that he was for Boca and told me about La Bombonera.
“I think he was with Leonardo Balerdi in Borussia Dortmund and that was a bit of an influence.
“Let’s see if we change it little by little, it’s going to be difficult but we’re going to try.”
Meanwhile, Balerdi previously opened up on Haaland’s love for Boca, saying: “When I was at Borussia, from the first day he asked me which was the best team, the one with the most history in Argentina.
“I drove him crazy with Boca, I showed him videos of fans, photos of the stadium and everything related to Boca.
“I told him what it felt like to play in La Bombonera, which was something unique.
“He became a fan of Boca and to this day we are in contact and every time he sees a video of Boca he sends it to me.

“He annoys me and asks ‘When are we going?’ So hopefully one day he’ll have to experience that. He asked me to send him a Boca shirt with the No9 on it.

Juventus trigger Moise Kean’s £25m permanent transfer option days after Everton ace is sent off after 40 seconds

JUVENTUS have reportedly triggered the £25million option to sign Moise Kean from Everton just days after his 40 second red card shame. The 23-year-old forward left the Turin club for the Premier League back in 2019.

However, the Italian international struggled at Everton and only scored twice in 32 top-flight appearances before he was first shipped out on loan to Paris Saint-Germain.
Kean was then returned to Juventus in August 2021 on a two-year loan deal which included an obligation to buy him for £25m.
Since then he has scored 10 Serie A goals in 55 appearances and his displays have already allegedly convinced the Turin side to sign him long-term.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano backed up an earlier claim from elsewhere by tweeting: “Moise Kean, no longer Everton player as Juventus have already triggered the buy option clause for €28m.

“Full agreement was already in place last year, Kean can be considered 100% Juve player as @romeoagresti reports.”
It comes after Kean was sent off 40 SECONDS after coming on for Juventus in Sunday’s 1-0 loss at Roma.
He kicked out wildly at matchwinner Gianluca Mancini 20 seconds after arriving in the 89th minute – and departed after another 20 seconds.
Kean, 23, had replaced Colombian wideman Juan Cuadrado as Juve piled on the pressure for an equaliser.

And that desperate last-ditch move from boss Max Allegri promptly became even more despairing.
Kean instantly saw red for lashing out at defender Mancini, who had cracked a stunning decider for Jose Mourinho’s Roma on 53 minutes.
Mancini seemed to drag the tumbling Kean in a bizarre tangle as Juventus attacked down the left.
The frontman responded by booting the home hero up the backside.
And although Mancini collapsed in ridiculous fashion, clutching his leg as if shot, Kean had to go.
He has since been hit with a £8,900 fine and received a two-game ban for the red. More

United fans were quick to tear into the Dutchman after seeing the footage, so much so that he gave a lengthy explanation on social media.
He said: “Normally I never react on media topics, but for this one it’s worth it because you amazing United fans are so important to me.
“So I just want to clarify the video that is doing the rounds.
“From the national team, I know that Virgil [van Dijk] always touches that sign and the only intention I had was to stop him touching it and wind him up before the game.

One remarked: “You weren’t tryna stop Virgil from touching the sign you silly, silly man.”
Another chimed in: “Tell you what that is an absolutely awful excuse.”
Defeat to the Reds ended a four-game win streak for the Red Devils and dented their faint hopes of winning the title.
Manager Erik ten Hag was furious with his troops’ display, saying: “It is quite obvious, it was unprofessional.
“First half, I think we were the better team – we created the better chances and had two one-on-ones with the goalie.
“Before half-time, we made one organisational mistake and conceded a goal.
“We were in the game. It really surprised me after half-time, we gave the game [away] so quickly.
“The first two goals were defensive transition moments, the first was a turnover and the second was a counter, bad decisions and decisions on the ball.
“How we conceded the goals is really annoying. The third was a counter with unprofessional decisions – not following in, and then running in, moving forwards, giving space away in midfield, not tracking back.
“So then it is 3-0 and the game is lost, but as a team you have to stick together.
“That is what we didn’t do. It is a surprise for me, I didn’t see this from my team.

Mauricio Pochettino ‘wants emotional Tottenham return in summer’ but former manager could spark internal power struggle

MAURICIO POCHETTINO allegedly “wants a nostalgic return” to Tottenham if Antonio Conte departs at the end of the season. The Argentine, who we revealed has eyes on the Chelsea job, has been out of work since being axed by French giants Paris Saint-Germain in July.

The 51-year-old former Southampton manager enjoyed a memorable five-year spell at Spurs and guided them to the Champions League final in 2019.
Despite that, he was still axed the following November but is believed to have “remained on good terms” with chairman Daniel Levy.
Now The Times says that Pochettino “is among the names being considered by Tottenham to replace Conte” as the Italian “is increasingly likely to return to Italy at — or before — the end of the season”.
Since the South American’s departure, Spurs fans have been forced to watch three successive coaches that deploy a more pragmatic style of football.

But Poch, who still lives in Hertfordshire, “would change that” and he “also has a strong bond” still with supporters.
However, the report adds that what “is less clear is whether Levy would swallow his pride” and also if managing director Fabio Paratici would want Pochettino remains in doubt “as it would provoke an internal power struggle and potential conflict over the tactical system”.
Paratici has brought in managers that prefer to play with wing-backs while Pochettino usually deploys a back four.
Poch, who won Ligue 1 with PSG last season, turned down an approach by Aston Villa for a swift return to football last year.

And he has also thrown his hat into the ring to become England manager after Gareth Southgate.
Spurs sacked Poch was sacked by Tottenham after five-and-a-half years in charge back in November 2019.
Despite not winning a trophy for Spurs, he guided the club to four consecutive Champions League finishes.
Prior to his arrival, Spurs had finished in the top four in just two of their previous 22 seasons in the Premier League.
He also took the club to the Champions League final in 2019, but Liverpool prevailed as they won 2-0.
After replacing Tim Sherwood in 2014, Poch took charge of 293 games, winning 159, losing 72 and drawing on 62 occasions. More
