The battering of Betis saw the Red Devils start to erase the memory of their embarrassing 7-0 defeat to bitter rivals Liverpool last weekend.
And some of the Old Trafford faithful reckon Dutchman Ten Hag wanted his troops to score seven themselves.
That belief came from footage of Ten Hag holding up three fingers and shouting not long after his side’s fourth goal of the night.
One United fan tweeted: “Ten Hag telling the players we need 3 more goals.”

Another said: “Ten Hag wants seven goals.”
And another said: “Ten Hag asking three more goals by showing his three fingers was a hilarious moment.”
One remarked: “Ten Hag telling the players they owe him THREE more goals.”
Another chimed in: “He wasn’t joking when he said he wanted revenge.”

Goals from Marcus Rashford, Antony, Bruno Fernandes and Wout Weghorst put United on course for the last eight of the Europa League.
Ten Hag was thrilled with how his troops bounced back from their Anfield annihilation and singled out skipper Bruno Fernandes for praise.
He said of the Portugal international: “He was the best player on the pitch, it showed his personality.
“He played a little deeper role tonight and he was brilliant, making the game from the back in position, a lot of good passes in between the lines.
“From there we created a lot of chances.”
United will be back on Sunday afternoon, welcoming relegation battlers Southampton to the Theatre of Dreams.
They’ll then travel to Andalusia on Thursday for the second leg of their tie with Betis.

Arsenal ESCAPE punishment from FA for over-celebrating winning goal against Bournemouth

Arsenal will NOT face action for the wild celebrations of their late winner against Bournemouth last weekend. The Football Association launched a probe after referee Chris Kavanagh mentioned in his match report how Arsenal staff and substitutes had run onto the pitch following Reiss Nelson’s 97th-minute goal.

But after reviewing Kavanagh’s account, the FA has decided not to take the matter any further.
Some Arsenal fans believe they have been unfairly targeted by the authorities this season.
The Gunners have already been fined a total of £165,000 by the FA tafter being hit with three separate charges of failing to control their players in an orderly fashion during their recent games againstNewcastle, Oxford and Manchester City.
The PGMOL has also had to apologise twice to Arsenal for wrong decisions made by officials.

Gooners – and boss Mikel Arteta – also reckon they have been denied clear penalties on a number of other occasions
But this time the authorities seem to have applied common sense.
If the FA had taken action over the scenes at the Bournemouth game, it would have been embarrassing for the Premier League.
Soon after the game last Saturday, the PL’s official Twitter account sent out a message with a photo of the celebrations which subsequently came under the FA spotlight.

Arteta said of the last-gasp victory: “It was an extraordinary day and a beautiful experience at the end.
“Dramatic, but worth living it because there was the greatest end to it.”

Bids from British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe and a Qatar investment group so far appear to be the favourites in the fight for ownership of Man United.
But another bid has reportedly emerged from fan-led group Red Devils United.
CBS reports that the group are “developing” an offer for the club.
They said they want to use “the collective power of Manchester United supporters to regain control of the club that they love.”

The bid is believed to be a mix of private investors and fan-funding.
Any fans backing the group are being asked to buy NFTs in return for “membership and some control over decision making.”
Red Devils United are yet to formally enter the bidding process.
They said: “This will be the first time the club has heard of this project. We will send details of this proposal to Manchester United and will invite questions from the club, their representatives and the fanbase.”

Group representative Lorenzo Alessi added: “The mission behind Red Devils United is to revolutionise and democratise elite sports ownership by giving supporters a voice at the highest levels of the game.”
This is the latest twist in the ongoing saga of Man United’s ownership.
Earlier today Elliott Management were revealed to have made it through to the second stage of the sales process.
The American hedge fund have submitted an offer which is open to all parties.
But they are reported to not want to buy United outright and instead offer financial backing to any groups who are interested.

Reports earlier this week suggested investors from Elliott were willing to stump up cash to help improve Old Trafford.
The group are believed to be willing to finance £2bn towards stadium improvements.
Red Devils United and Elliott Management are the latest groups to publicly declare an interest in the bidding process.

The Italian club dominated and looked set to wrap up a routine win to take to the second leg.
But the match would end in surprise fashion after former Bournemouth and Leeds winger Max Gradel threw an elbow at Martinez Quarta in an off-the-ball incident.
The 35-year-old was attempting to chase down the ball as Fiorentina ran down the seconds.
But he then erratically slams his arm into defender Martinez Quarta.

The centre-back collapsed to the ground holding his face and the game was quickly brought to a halt.
As Fiorentina players ran over to confront Gradel, the referee initially had a yellow card in his hand.
But he appears to change his mind as he tucked the yellow away and brandished the red.
It had been a frustrating evening for Sivasspor with Fiorentina controlling most of the game and spurning several opportunities.

Viola even hit the cross bar twice before finally breaking through to get the winner.
Substitute Antonin Barak scored an acrobatic effort from close-range after Sivasspor failed to clear a corner.
Gradel will now miss the second-leg next week.
The Ivorian broke through at Championship Leicester between 2006 and 2010 before heading to Leeds.
He would finally make it in the Premier League when he moved to Bournemouth in 2015 but would tear his cruciate ligament only weeks after the transfer.

Fulham vs Arsenal: Gunners aim to take huge step to first Premier League title since 2003-04 at high-flyers – TV, stream

ONE swing of Reiss Nelson’s boot left 60,000 Gooners bouncing around the Emirates, dreaming of a first title since 2003-04.Not since Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles have Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy.

Mikel Arteta will be itching to keep up his side’s momentum at FulhamCredit: Getty
In that time, Gunners fans have watched Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Leicester and Liverpool claim top honours.
For a team that dominated in the 1990s and early 2000s, it’s barely-believable to think the red-half of North London have had to endure a near 20-year title drought.
Arsenal have often been accused of being mentally weak, with a threadbare squad starved of world-class talent.
But after staging an outrageous comeback in their last Premier League game, fans are ready to believe again.

On Saturday at the Emirates, Arsenal were a goal down within 10 seconds and, when they found themselves trailing 2-0, doubts began to creep into Gooners’ minds.
To become champions, you have to win like champions – and sometimes that means doing things the hard way.
It’s not always pretty. Thomas Partey and Ben White scrambled home a goal each to draw level against the Cherries.
But the Arsenal side continually called mentally fragile in years gone by kept scrapping until the bitter end.

And it was super-sub Nelson, with the sweetest swing of his left boot, who secured a vital three points in their last Premier League run-out.
It speaks volumes that it wasn’t Martin Odegaard or Bukayo Saka who played the role of hero on the day.
For while they are quickly developing into world-class talents, it was a fringe player out of contract this summer who saved the day.
With a great blend of top young talent and experienced veterans, all under the leadership of a Pep Guardiola graduate, it’s looking more and more like being Arsenal’s year.
There are just 12 games left to go and while Arsenal lead Man City by just five points, they keep finding the strength to keep them at arm’s length.
Pep’s squad are seasoned veterans of the title-winning game and have a knack for a dramatic title win.
Of course, there was Sergio Aguero’s iconic last-gasp strike against QPR to snatch the 2011-12 crown – the club’s first.
But there was also last season, when an Ilkay Gundogan-inspired XI came from 2-0 down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 on the final day to break Liverpool fans’ hearts.
Mikel Arteta knows the title race isn’t over as he guides his side to West London to take on high-flying Fulham.
From here on in, every match is must-win. Every match is a cup final. Every match is a potential banana skin.
But if any Arsenal side can sneak over the line, maybe it’s this one.

    What is their form like?
    Fulham: Very strong.
The Cottagers are surpassing all expectations by pushing an unlikely European place for next season.
So often caught yo-yo-ing between the Premier League and Championship, Marco Silva has his side looking genuinely threatening.
Fulham were seven matches unbeaten in all competitions – including reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals – before their heartbreaking 3-2 loss at Brentford last time out.
    Arsenal: Also very strong.
The Gunners have now won their last four Premier League matches since the 3-1 top-of-the-table six-pointer defeat at the hands of Man City last month.
And on the back of their last-gasp win over Bournemouth, they’ll be full of confidence at Craven Cottage.
What is the team news and any injuries to worry about?
Fulham: Layvin Kurzawa is the latest home star to pick up an injury, with a knee issue.
He joins Tom Cairney (shin) and Neeskans Kebano (Achilles) in missing the match.
Elsewhere, Palhinha will serve the first of his two-match suspension against the Gunners.
Arsenal: Gabriel Jesus has rejoined the squad and is training after three months out with a knee injury, although this match may come too soon.
Eddie Nketiah is still out and is joined by Leanardo Trossard on the physio’s table after the latter picked up a knock against the Cherries.
Mohamed Elneny is a long-term absentee for Mikel Arteta.
Who will be the star men?
    Fulham: Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Back from injury, the Serbian star will look to use his physicality to wreak havoc on the Gunners back-four.

    Arsenal: Martin Odegaard.

Against a strong Fulham side, Arteta will look to his captain to pull the strings in midfield and open doors for Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Co in attack – or even add to his tally of nine Premier League goals himself.

I’m a former Premier League star but now I’m a Instagram chef… an online course sparked my success

A FORMER Premier League star who scored in all five national football divisions has gone on to become an Instagram chef.Marc Pugh, 35, was a winger for Bournemouth and QPR before an online nutrition course inspired him to start a new career in the kitchen.

He has attracted 85,000 Instagram followers with his snaps of healthy dishes like coconut and almond milk porridge and cucumber, radish and salmon towers.
The ex-footballer told the Sun: “Ten years ago, I was a terrible cook. I wish I had educated myself more when I was younger.
“I used to have pizza as a pre-match meal when I was at Shrewsbury as a 21-year-old.
“We kept winning games so we thought it was a good omen!

“Before I did my course I didn’t know how important nutrition was.
“Now I take it very seriously, both for myself and for my family.

“As a professional it has helped with recovery particularly.
“During this lockdown, when we have all the time in the world, what better way to spend it than learning to cook! It could improve your game and your fitness.”
Marc took the online course so he could help out his heavily pregnant wife with cooking.
It inspired him to eat more healthily, with cheesy-crust pizzas strictly off the menu.
He said: “I feel better now than when I was 21. Back then I made mistakes going into games and felt lethargic because of what I’d eaten.
“When I was at Bury, we played Weymouth in the FA Cup and I felt horrendous.
“I actually scored but I felt awful. The pre-match meal was pasta and it bloated me. I never do that now.
“To this day, my pre-match meal is salmon, vegetables and sweet potatoes about 3½ hours before kick-off.”
Marc’s Insta page is directed at anyone, not just professional athletes, who wants to eat good food but stay in tip-top shape.
That does not mean it is all kale and quinoa though — even if he is partial to the latter.
He said: “My Instagram page is to show people they don’t have to eat like a rabbit to be fit and healthy.
“Refined carbs give you sugar spikes so I don’t use many of those. Good carbs like quinoa, sweet potato, brown rice and vegetables are amazing for you.
“I do have a bit of a sweet tooth but mostly I use natural sweeteners like dates and honey.
“There are some scones with jam and cream on there because my missus did it for our kids.
Marc added: “I don’t like to call it a ‘diet’. But portion sizes are important.
“Some people look like they could climb their mountain of food rather than eat it.
“I like to get a lot of colour on the plate. And it is good to keep your metabolism guessing, so sometimes I skip breakfast and have more of a brunch instead.”

McTominay, 26, has started just seven Premier League games this season, only one of which has come since the start of October.
And Parker, who won two league titles with Man Utd in the 1990s, believes a move north of the border could be on the cards for the Red Devils man.
Speaking to MyBettingSites, he said: “I think it could be a possibility for him to go to Rangers. He is not good enough to play for Celtic.
“There is no way he would be able to play regularly for Celtic in the way they play. He will have a better chance of playing if he moves to Rangers.
