The ex-Arsenal striker, 33, struggled for even a bench spot under Potter.
But many Bridge supporters feel he is the out-and-out scorer Chelsea need, even if no longer the lightning-quick force he once was.
One fan said: “Reintegrate Aubameyang immediately. Havertz is simply not good enough for Chelsea.”

Another posted: “He’s a striker they can’t score. I’d try anything.”
A third wrote: “I mean he is a full on 9.”
And a fourth reckons Aubameyang could at least be a stop-gap answer until the summer.
On the topic of whether to bring the Gabon hero back, the supporter replied: “I really hope so. He might not be the perfect solution but for the foreseeable future he would be a good striker.”

But despite £323m of that coming in January, Potter failed to bring in a world-class frontman.
Instead his main buys were Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernández for a £115million British record and £88m Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk.
Some fans, however, suggested Aubameyang is no longer an elite goal-getter.
One wrote: “Aubameyang doesn’t start for any top club anymore I love him and thank him for winning us the FA Cup but that’s just facts.”

The retired forward lauded the on-loan Austrian for “coming up with the goods” in terms of his assist.
He was also keen to point out how Sabitzer was able to always be “available” and get into “pockets” of space.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Wright said: “You have to say, Sabitzer came up with the goods.
“With the assist and in certain other areas, he was getting into pockets, making some nice little moves and always making himself available.

“He got taken off in the end but I thought he did more than enough tonight in that No.10 position.”
Sabitzer was granted more freedom in the game as Bruno Fernandes was used in a deeper role by manager Erik ten Hag.
This could give the Dutch manager a selection headache going forward with where to play the pair.
The performance will be even more convincing that Man United should try and sign Sabitzer on a permanent deal in the summer.

The midfielder joined the club on loan from Bayern Munich in January but the deal did not include an option to make the move permanent.

Inter Milan are also said to be keen on Italian De Zerbi.

De Zerbi would be an intriguing choice after such limited experience in England
And many fans might point to Graham Potter’s failure after swapping Brighton for Chelsea.
But the way De Zerbi has seemingly improved the Seagulls since Potter’s exit has attracted many admirers across Europe.

Ten Hag, 53, has enjoyed a successful first season thus far having won the Carabao Cup against Newcastle.
The Red Devils are also still in the FA Cup and the Europa League as well as in the hunt for a spot in the Champions League next season.
Due to this success, it is thought that Ten Hag will be backed in the summer market, but he will have to clear some space in his squad for arrivals.
One of the players that Ten Hag has decided to sell according to Fichajes is club captain Harry Maguire.

The England international, 30, has fallen down the pecking order this season due to the form of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.
Even when one of the defenders have been injured, Ten Hag has opted to play Luke Shaw at centre-back ahead of Maguire.
The second player on the chopping block is fellow central defender Victor Lindelof, 28.
The Swedish international, like Maguire, is out of favour and his exit could make way for a new defender to arrive at the club.

Lindelof has only featured 11 times in the Premier League this season and could be keen on a move away from Old Trafford to boost his game time.
The final player that could be sold is former Ajax star Donny van der Beek.
The midfielder, 25, has struggled to find his best form at the club since his arrival in 2020.
But after an injury cut his season short, it seems that Ten Hag thinks it would be best to cut ties with Van der Beek. More

The American has brought back former Blues boss Frank Lampard to take charge of the team until the end of the season as he looks for long-term replacements for Potter.
And he’s reportedly sought out club legend Mourinho over a potential third reign as Chelsea chief.
That’s according to Spanish outlet Relevo, who claim the Roma boss has already received a phone call about taking the Stamford Bridge vacancy.
It’s also claimed the Blues brass have also reached out to Mourinho’s countryman Nuno Espirito Santo about the job.

It would be truly remarkable for Mourinho to take the Chelsea job for a third time.
The Portuguese first took charge of the Blues in 2004 after guiding Porto to an unlikely Champions League title.
Mourinho’s first stint in charge of the West Londoners was a trophy-laden one, to say the least.
He guided the Blues to two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and two League Cup trophies.

But he left Stamford Bridge in September 2007 following a series of disagreements with former owner Roman Abramovich.
The Special One returned six years later after leaving Real Madrid and guided the Blues to a league and cup double in the 2014-15 season.
But his second love affair with the club ended in dismissal in September 2015 as he was axed following a dire run of nine defeats in 15 league matches.
Chelsea currently find themselves in dire straits following Potter’s axing, toiling in 11th place in the league and 13 points off the Champions League places.
Shortly after his appointment was confirmed, Lampard said: “I’m not getting ahead of myself.
“I want to do the best I can to impact the club in this period and we will see what happens afterwards.” More

Kane has come under criticism for his reaction with many claiming that he did not need to fall down.
However, there has not been any defence for Dourcoure who was quite rightly dismissed for his actions.
And now the Toffees boss has aimed a sarcastic dig at the England star in his press conference ahead of his side’s match against Manchester United.
Dyche said: “I thought at one point he [Harry Kane] might have snapped an eyelash, which would have been tragic.

Gabriel Jesus reveals Zinchenko is Arsenal squad’s biggest joker, but says ‘he wanted to kill me’ when he hit back

ARSENAL stars Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko have played together for a long time with the duo sharing an excellent friendship on and off the pitch. But the Brazilian, 26, revealed that his Ukrainian team-mate “wanted to kill him” over a joke about his Premier League title contributions during their time together at Manchester City.

The duo won four titles during their spell at the Etihad Stadium under Pep Guardiola.

Since then, both stars have played an instrumental role in Arsenal’s unexpected title charge.

Opening up on the pair’s friendship, Jesus says that Zinchenko is among the jokers of the group in North London – but he doesn’t like being the punchline.
Speaking to Footballers Lives on TikTok, the forward said: ” I think Alex [Zinchenko] is the king of joking.
“All the time he just jokes with someone. One day he was like saying things you know, joking like ‘ah, I won four Premier Leagues you know and then the last one I give to you’.
“He says, ‘that last one, last season, I came on against Villa, we were 2-0 down’.

“He came on and honestly he changed the game you know because he received the ball, attack and he gave an assist.
“He just said that ‘I gave you one trophy, one Premier League, because of me, you have four’.
“I said ‘listen, okay, I accept that but in four Premier Leagues, you only start 20 games’. He wants to kill me.”
The cheeky jibe referred to Zinchenko’s lack of game time under Guardiola, with Joao Cancelo generally the preferred starter at Man City.
The comical duo will be looking to get one over their former side, by both pipping Man City to the title and by getting a result in their potential title decider on April 26. More
