But assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis stole the headlines at half-time during a shocking moment between him and Liverpool’s Robertson.
The full-back approached Hatzidakis and replays appear to show Hatzidakis strike the full-back.
Referees’ body the PGMOL has announced it will investigate the alleged elbow.
And former England international Darren Bent quickly took to Twitter and called for an eight-game ban, just like Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic was penalised.

Bent tweeted: “8 game ban for the linesman.”
Mitrovic is currently serving an eight-game ban for pushing referee Chris Kavanagh in their FA Cup loss at Manchester United on 19 March.
Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton was watching the game for BBC Radio 5 Live and thinks Hatzidakis should be punished for the “unprecedented” reaction.
Sutton said: “I really don’t know what he was thinking. As far as I can see, he has to be banned.

“He will have to sit out a number of games. I can’t remember another incident like this. Where is the precedent for these things?”
Sutton added: “A big debating point was Mitrovic and the eight-game ban and the FA want him banned for more but you can’t have assistants throwing elbows. What should the punishment be?”
PGMOL’s statement said it was “aware of an incident involving assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson at half-time during the Liverpool v Arsenal fixture at Anfield”.
The statement added the body will “review the matter in full” after a fiery encounter at Anfield. More

And Jurgen Klopp’s men were given a huge opportunity to draw level nine minutes into the second half when Diogo Jota was fouled by Rob Holding and referee Paul Tierney pointed to the spot.
Salah took responsibility as he stepped up to try and avenge his penalty miss against Bournemouth last month.

And among the ecstasy of Salah’s miss, some Arsenal fans hailed White’s brutal reaction.

Relive Liverpool vs Arsenal through Piers Morgan’s roller coaster Twitter feed, from half-time taunt to ‘torture’ tweet

SUN columnist Piers Morgan didn’t hold back while watching an absolute rollercoaster of a clash between Liverpool and his beloved Arsenal.Piers witnessed the Gunners’ Premier League title hopes being dealt a blow after a last-gasp 2-2 draw against the Reds at Anfield.
Piers Morgan didn’t hold back on Twitter during Liverpool vs Arsenal
The TV personality’s pre-match confidence paid off after just eight minutes when Gabriel Martinelli put the the North Londoners ahead.
Mikel Arteta’s men then doubled their lead only 20 minutes later with Gabriel Jesus, who showed quite the timing on Easter Sunday – an irony caught up by many, including the TalkTV presenter.
But Mohamed Salah put the Merseysiders back on the game with a strike just three minutes before half-time.
Piers, however, felt confident at half-time as he treated himself with a cuppa on his favourite mug and taunted Liverpool fans… a little too soon.

Tension started to build up afterwards with players getting on each others’ faces and the 58-year-old begging usual suspect Granit Xhaka not to see red.
But the first-half dominance gave way to “torture”, which became too much for the SunSport columnist who almost saw his team crumble on 54 minutes when Salah missed a penalty.
Aaron Ramsdale went on to produce some vital saves, which led to the broadcaster channelling in his inner Meg Ryan.
But Sally quickly turned into Jack Torrance as Arsenal conceded a last-gasp equaliser by Roberto Firmino just three minutes before full-time.

Fans quickly took to social media to let their voices heard and took a cheeky swipe at Piers.
