Vieira, 46, also spent time enjoying some water sports such as kayaking and an inflatable water trampoline.
The Arsenal icon was seen jumping off the inflatable into the water as he made the most of his time away from the dugout.

The manager’s tattoos were also on show as he swam topless while wearing blue swim shorts.
Vieira has one tattoo of a soldier in laurel leaves on his right arm.

How Man Utd stars facing axe would challenge for Europe as a stand-alone XI with De Gea, Maguire & Martial

MANCHESTER UNITED are planning a major summer clear-out which could reportedly see as many as THIRTEEN stars shipped out. Boss Erik ten Hag wants to get his squad into better shape for another campaign challenging on multiple fronts next season.
Here’s how the stars facing the axe may look as a team on paper
Harry Maguire and David De Gea are among the stars who could be on the chopping blockCredit: Richard Pelham / The Sun
But the set of players he wants to move on has some more than decent quality in it.
David De Gea’s future at United has been under threat due to his excessive wages and the way Ten Hag wants to build up from the back – something he struggles to do.
Negotiations are underway with the Spaniard since the club would like to keep him on reduced terms but unless a solution is found De Gea could be on his way in the summer.
In defence, the likes of loanees Eric Bailly and Alex Telles are a given to be on the permanent sale list.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are expensive purchases who no longer justify a spot in the first team – and with both attracting interest it could see them depart.
Scott McTominay has proven to be a useful squad player, but with Newcastle interested in him a sale is definitely on the cards if an appropriate offer arrives.
Donny van de Beek has seen his United career curtailed by injuries. The Dutchman has consequently never hit the heights which were promised.
He had seemed to just be getting a good run under his belt before a horror tackle put him out for the season. If interest suffices a fresh start for the midfielder could be beneficial.

In the attack, Ten Hag is planning a complete overhaul, and he will start by allowing injury-prone forward Anthony Martial to leave and free up room for other striker targets.
Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri have both been pencilled in for loans in the summer to get more game time, with Ten Hag set to give Amad Diallo a chance to shine with the senior side.
Despite recent improvements, Ten Hag is also said to be growing “increasingly impatient” with Jadon Sancho, which would also prompt a sale for the 23-year-old.
Other stars not mentioned who could be brought into the team amid exit links are Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones and Dean Henderson. More

LuaLua caused a rule change and Courtois led to a £5million dispute – 5 loan stars who haunted their parent clubs

The Premier League banned loan players facing their parent clubs after Lomana Lualua scored for Portsmouth against NewcastleCredit: PA:Press Association
Now he is set to face his parent side in the Champions League quarter-final.
Uefa allows loan players to face the parent clubs, which is different to the rules used by the Premier League, which forbids it.
Until 2003 clubs in the division could not loan players from each other.
But in the first season after the rule was changed, Lomana LuaLua scored for loan side Portsmouth against parent club Newcastle.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
LuaLua went on to move to Pompey permanently at the end of the season.
But his goal against the Magpies caused the rule to be changed again, as players were banned from playing against their parent clubs.
Here are four more players that came back to haunt their sides.
    1. Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian goalkeeper spent three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid from Chelsea before becoming the first choice at Stamford Bridge.

During this period, the two sides faced each other in the Champions League, but the Blues had a clause in the deal that would see them be paid a reported £2.5million per match if Courtois played in either leg.
However, the LaLiga side claimed they could not afford the fee and Uefa ruled that any deal which “might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable”.
He was therefore allowed to play and put in two solid performances as his side knocked Chelsea out of the competition without the £5m being paid.
    2. Philippe Coutinho

Coutinho struggled to impress when he joined Barcelona from Liverpool and was loaned to Bayern Munich in an effort to shift his wages off the club’s books.
However, the move came back to bite the Spanish side as he starred for the Bundesliga outfit when the two clashed in the Champions League.
The Brazilian scored twice and assisted one goal in the club’s 8-2 thrashing of Barcelona in the 2019-20 season.
    3. Fernando Morientes

Morientes enjoyed great success at Real Madrid, winning the Champions League three times in six seasons.
However, he spent the 2003-04 season on loan at Ligue 1 side Monaco and came up against the Spanish giants in the Champions League.
The striker scored in both legs of the quarter-final tie, knocking out his parent side on away goals after a 5-5 scoreline.
    4. Kingsley Coman

The French winger has a remarkable knack of scoring against his former sides.
In 2016, Coman was on loan at Bayern Munich when he came up against his parent side Juventus in the Champions League last 16.

Despite his previous struggles in Serie A, he managed to prove his quality as he set up Thomas Muller to score before scoring an extra-time goal himself.
Four years later, after signing for Bayern permanently, he scored the game’s only goal as they beat his first club PSG in the Champions League final. More

Several members of the West Ham squad – including England star Declan Rice – were seen getting stuff out of a car as they stood next to the huge dog.
Meanwhile, Cornet tentatively remained 10 yards or so away from the rest of the group.
Slowly, the dog began picking up speed and ended up furiously chasing the former Burnley man towards the door of the training ground.
Fortunately for Cornet, who has spent five months of the season sidelined through injury, the pet eventually left him alone.

But that did not stop his West Ham pals from bursting into fits of laughter throughout.
And Rice could be heard cackling at the brilliant moment.

Reacting to the video, one person said: “Good to see Cornet working on his fitness 🤣.”
Another added: “Watching that you can tell he’s definitely over his injury 🤣🤣👍.”
And a third replied: “Quickest I’ve seen him run. Can they let it see [David] Moyes next please.”
Cornet is yet to score in 14 appearances for West Ham, but has provided five assists.
Moyes’ men picked up a huge 1-0 win away at Fulham on Saturday to move them up to 14th in the Premier League, three points adrift of the relegation zone.
Next up for West Ham in the league is a home game against table toppers Arsenal on Sunday.

The Athletic report that the Cherries are unhappy with the 23-year-old due to him beginning discussions with Italian outfit Udinese over a potential summer move.
Zemura is out of contract at the end of the season and it appears he will not be staying on the South Coast.

West Ham line up two Premier League stars to replace Declan Rice with Arsenal favourites to sign England star

WEST HAM have reportedly identified their midfield targets for the summer as they look to replace the departing Declan Rice. The Hammers look resigned to the fact they will lose their captain in the summer with Arsenal currently said to be leading the race for the England star’s signature.
Conor Gallagher has been unable to recreate his lightning form from Crystal Palace this season at Chelsea
Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice often play together at the heart of Gareth Southgate’s England midfield
David Moyes’ side will need to find a fitting replacement for Rice who has been vitally important to the club since bursting onto the scene.
The Evening Standard have reported that the East London club are interested in two names to fill the spot vacated by Rice.
They are said to be looking at bringing in Kalvin Phillips and Conor Gallagher in order to bolster their midfield.
West Ham had a £50million bid rejected for Phillips in January 2022 before he made the move to Manchester City, but with his playing time limited at the Etihad a move could be more likely this time round.

Gallagher has been of interest to multiple Premier League clubs after falling out of favour at Chelsea following his spectacular loan spell with Crystal Palace last season.
West Ham will have to fend off the likes of Liverpool who are also rumoured to be interested in signing the Chelsea midfielder this summer.
Reports suggest it is extremely likely Rice will depart the London Stadium this summer after 10 years with the club from youth level to becoming club captain.
Arsenal are leading the charge for his signature, but it won’t be easy to secure his services with Chelsea and Manchester United said to be interested too.

How Leicester could line up if Dean Smith stays with John Terry using his Chelsea connections to bring in stars

LEICESTER could line-up with a number of Chelsea stars in their team for next season if they stay in the Premier League. The Foxes have just appointed Dean Smith as manager with John Terry as his assistant after the sacking of Brendan Rodgers.

Leicester currently sit 19th in the league, two points from safety and could freshen up their squad over the summer.
Ex-Blues captain Terry could use his links to his former club and help them pinch a number of their players.
Chelsea are preparing to sell several stars with owner Todd Boehly expected to continue his overhaul.
The likes of Trevoh Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek could see their days numbered after both have failed to nail down starting spots this season.

Conor Gallagher could also be on the move after not winning over Chelsea fans this term.
In Boehly’s huge cull, players such as Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could all depart, but they would be unlikely to join Leicester.
Armando Broja is currently sidelinded with a long-term ACL injury and he is not predicted to get many minutes when he is back fit.
Chelsea will surely spend big money on a striker this summer and Broja is the type of young and quick attacker Smith could want.

Another set to leave Stamford Bridge is Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The winger has not impressed on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, netting once in 21 games.
However, he has undoubted talent and could receive a new lease of life back in the Prem with Leicester.
Smith could also want a new winger if Tete’s loan deal cannot be made permanent from Shakhtar Donestk.
Leicester’s line-up for next season could look very different if they are relegated, with James Maddison and Harvey Barnes set to be big name exits.

    Never say Neves
Wolves are still working on a long-term deal for contract rebel and Manchester United target Ruben Neves, writes SunSport’s Jordan Davies.
Neves’ deal at Molineux runs out next summer – potentially ending a seven-year stay in the Midlands after joining from Porto back in 2017.
SunSport understands Wolves are preparing a last-gasp attempt to stop the 26-year-old departing for a cut-price fee.
With European interest in the midfielder cooling as of late, the player may be resigned to finally signing.
But the Portugal international’s wage demands exceeding £100,000-a-week will be the main sticking point.
Neves is also prepared to wait until the club can guarantee top flight safety – with Wolves currently four points off the drop with eight matches remaining.
    Felix bid latest
Manchester United target Joao Felix is believed to be “comfortable” at Chelsea, where he plays on loan
According to AS, Felix has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after impressing at Stamford Bridge.
However, the Red Devils appear to be facing an uphill battle to sign striker.
The Manchester giants would struggle especially if the Portugal international prefers a permanent move to the Blues from Atletico Madrid.
    Harry Kane reminder
Manchester United could miss out on signing Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.
That is because United are believed to be facing competition from European powerhouse Real Madrid.
Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on Kane ahead of the summer transfer window.
The two clubs could make a move for the star striker once his contract expires at Spurs, according to the Daily Mail.
    All change at United
Man United are planning a major summer clear-out which could reportedly see as many as THIRTEEN stars shipped out.

    Hammers linked with Wan-Bissaka
West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Man United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka after missing out on him in the January window.
According to a report from Football Insider, the Hammers are hoping to upgrade their right-back spot in the summer and the former Crystal Palace man is a target.
However, they would have to beat the Eagles to the defender as they are also monitoring his situation at Old Trafford.
    Rasford ‘happy’ at United
Marcus Rashford is reportedly “not happy” with reports suggesting he wants a crazy salary and believes the club is on the edge of success.
Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Marcus Rashford was not happy with recent reports of “crazy” salary requests.
“He’s understood to be really happy with how things are developing at Man Utd and feels success is around the corner.
“New deal talks will continue soon – Rashford loves working under ten Hag.”
    Eriksen on ‘special’ Old Trafford
Christian Eriksen has admitted that the atmosphere at Old Trafford can help Man United
He told club media: “The vibe in the stadium as an away player was intense but not really scary.
“And then coming here and playing every game, I do get why some people – especially now and how it’s going – are scared to play because of the crowd. [They are] good people, good fans. It’s a wonderful stadium and big enough I think.
“[It was] weird [walking out of the tunnel as a United player for the first time]. The same as when you walk into the stadium, walking to the right instead of the left [to get to the] changing rooms and stuff.

Rio Ferdinand has responded to Jamie Carragher’s claim that Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is “far better” than Nemanja Vidic ever was for Manchester United.
Carragher, 45, was critical of Liverpool’s back line in the first half against Arsenal at the weekend as the Reds fell 2-0 behind before coming back to clinch a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Ferdinand has now hit back at Carragher’s comments by defending his former centre-back partner Vidic.
Speaking on the Vibe with Five YouTube channel, he said: “I see Jamie Carragher tweeted something about Van Dijk being better than Vidic.
“I think Torres scored three goals in 15 games against Vidic. It’s a bit of a myth, he had a couple of dodgy moments in those games and got sent off a couple of times and that’s been amplified into saying he got tortured every time he played against Torres which wasn’t the case.
“[Marcus] Rashford’s got six goals in 13 games against Liverpool, does that mean he’s tortured Van Dijk?”

    INCE SACKED
Man Unit star Paul Ince has been sacked as Reading manager.
A club statement read: “Reading Football Club can confirm that the contract of first team manager Paul Ince has been terminated with immediate effect.”
“Ince took the reins on a permanent basis in the summer and, having to cope with strict transfer embargo restrictions, he helped to piece together a new squad on a much-reduced wage budget – and with five wins from our first seven home games the season began brightly.
“However, without a win in our last eight matches and with a relegation battle to fight following a six-point deduction imposed last week, owner Mr Dai Yongge has decided that a change is needed.”

    Praise for Maguire
Erik ten Hag has heaped praise on Harry Maguire after the victory over Everton.
He said: “Maguire was dominating, dictating.
“This is a different Harry to what I’ve seen in the first weeks and months.
“He’s taking so much initiative, dominating his opponent, stepping in, bringing passes.
    “So a really great performance”.
    United backed to sign Felix
Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Man United to axe four stars and poach Joao Felix from under the noses of Chelsea.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider: “I really like what he’s [Felix] done so far. I’ve seen a different side to him at Chelsea. At Atletico, he was playing too deep and wasn’t suited to how they play.
“At Chelsea, you see him getting on the ball, twisting past players – and he’s got a bit of pace as well. I really like him, but he’s got to be more clinical.
“I don’t see any reason why Man United can’t get him. They need options if they’re in the Champions League next season.
“Martial isn’t good enough, nor is Weghorst – scrap them. Antony and Sancho haven’t been great, so you’re talking about Rashford as their only threat.
“They need help, or it could be an embarrassing time in the Champions League for them. Felix, for me, would be a good signing for them.”

It comes after the Royals’ latest 2-1 defeat against Preston left them in the Championship relegation zone with just five games to go.
The result means Reading are without a win in their last eight games, with their most recent win coming back in February.
According to The Telegraph, the Reading board held crisis talks over Ince’s future at the club on Saturday following the 1-1 draw with Birmingham.
The club’s situation has not been helped after being deducted six points by EFL.

    Good morning Man Utd fans
Man Utd are interested in signing Celta Vigo starlet Gabri Veiga, according to reports.
The Red Devils are “keeping tabs” on the 20-year-old having been impressed by his displays in Spain this season.
Veiga, 20, has bagged nine goals and laid on four assists in 26 LaLiga appearances from midfield this term.
But according to Football Insider, Arsenal are also keen on making a bid and could cough up more cash.
Meanwhile, Man Utd have been told to pay £35million for Brentford goalie David Raya.
The Spaniard is being eyed as a replacement for compatriot David De Gea.
And Fabrizio Romano says Raya has categorically rejected the chance to extend his Bees deal, leading to a potential summer exit.
United will now have to fork over £35m for the gloveman, and also face a battle against Chelsea for his signature.
Finally, Wolves are still working on a long-term deal for contract rebel Ruben Neves.
The Portuguese midfielder’s deal at Molineux runs out next summer.
However, SunSport understands Wolves are preparing a last-gasp attempt to stop the 26-year-old leaving for a cut-price fee.
Arsenal were previously monitoring the situation, while Manchester United have come close to nabbing the £40m-rated playmaker on two separate occasions.
    Erik ready for Dutch raid
Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag sent scouts to watch two Feyenoord players in action earlier this week, according to reports.
According to The Mirror, he has his sights set on Feyenoord duo Orkun Kokcu and Santiago Gimenez.
Man Utd representatives were in Rotterdam on Wednesday for the KNVB Cup semi-final clash between Ten Hag’s former club Ajax and Feyenoord.
It is understood that they were there to watch Kokcu and Gimenez in action, with both men impressing on the night.
    Unlucky number for summer exits
Man Utd are ready to clear the shelves this summer.
    That’s by ditching a whopping 13 players.
The Mail claims stalwarts like captain Harry Maguire will leave Old Trafford this summer.
And that will open the door for Erik ten Hag to bring in numerous signings who fit his tactics better.

    Candy Kane sweet for Devils
Man Utd have been given a boost in their pursuit of Harry Kane.
That’s because Bayern Munich admit they may not be able to afford the England captain this summer.
Kane could finally leave Tottenham as he approaches the end of his contract and career.
But Bayern’s chief financial officer Dr Michael Diederich revealed: “I don’t rule anything out but can we afford such a transfer and do we want such a transfer? We have to keep an eye on our profitability.”

The Dutchman said: “It is not that easy for Harry [to be rotated]. And then if you then deliver the performance he did today, really well done, in and out of possession, dominating and dictating.
“I think this is a different Harry Maguire [to] what I have seen in the first weeks, months.
“He’s taken so much initiative, dominating his opponent, stepping in, bringing passes. So a really great performance from Harry.”
