And Neville claims the American owners are trying to drive up the price by opening up another round of offers.
He wrote on Twitter: “Taking it to a third round is just classless.
“The market has obviously not given them the answer they want! It’s like they’ve made a pact to each other that they won’t go for less than £1bn each family member. (five of them).
“If they stay in after all this it will be toxic!”

The Glazers could start exploring a minority investment option if their demands are not met.
US investors Elliott Management are ready to offer the Glazers the financial backing they need to remain in control of the club.
The cash injection could include £2bn to be spent on renovating Old Trafford.
But Neville believes such an arrangement could spark uproar amongst the fanbase, who have called on the Glazers to sell for years.

Man Utd transfer boost with Barcelona ‘ready to sell Red Devils target Ansu Fati and keep two ex-Prem stars’

MANCHESTER UNITED have received a transfer boost with Barcelona plotting to sell Ansu Fati, according to reports. The wonderkid has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs since breaking through at the Nou Camp.
Barcelona are open to selling Ansu FatiCredit: AFP
He has mostly featured as a substitute for Xavi’s side this term but has contributed seven goals and three assists in all competitions.
However Barcelona’s dire financial situation means they could be forced to sell one or two prized assets this summer.
And Fati could be sold for a big fee according to Sport.
The report claims Barca would rather keep ex-Premier League stars Ferran Torres and Rapinha, and sell Fati instead.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
But it is believed Barcelona would rather sell a player they paid no money for, such as Franck Kessie or Andreas Christensen, both of whom arrived on a free last summer.
Fati could also be included since he is an academy graduate.
United could look to pounce this summer with the 20-year-old reportedly offered to several European clubs by his agent Jorge Mendes.
Fati was even urged to quit Barcelona by his father, who believes he is not getting enough game time to progress his career.

Man Utd takeover ‘to go to THIRD round of bidding with Glazers yet to accept any offer’

MANCHESTER UNITED’S takeover saga has taken another twist. That’s with the Glazers sanctioning a THIRD round of bidding after failing to accept any offer so far.
A third round of bidding is set to get underway for Man UtdCredit: AFP
TalkSport claims interested parties have been informed they have until the end of the month to submit revised offers.
The Glazers are holding out for a whopping £6billion fee as they look to sell up.
But so far the highest offers, from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Al Thani, have only reached £5bn.
The pair are both determined to take full control at Old Trafford.

However, another round of bidding hints that neither party’s original bid has been deemed satisfactory.
And the Glazers could start exploring a minority investment option if their demands are not met.
Last month saw chaotic scenes as the deadline for bids was extended by 48 hours.
It led to Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim withdrawing their offers before submitting them again.

Sheikh Jassim has offered £5bn for a full takeover
But a third round of bidding could open the door for a latecomer to hijack the deal.
It comes after senior Government officials reportedly expressed concerns over Sheikh Jassim.
He is chairman of one of Qatar’s biggest banks, QIB, which has assets of £42bn.
Sheikh Jassim is bidding as a private individual via his Nine Two Foundation, rather than using any QIB funds.
But Government reservations are understood to relate to a £1.4m fine handed out to QIB’S UK unit by the Bank of England.
The 2016 punishment was for violating capital financial rules that left the bank exposed to high levels of risk.
Regulators said QIB had “failed to meet some of the most basic regulatory standards”.
QIB claimed at the time to have taken “remedial action” to prevent a recurrence.
Representatives for Sheikh Jassim and the DCMS declined to comment. More

The striker was penalised for a crime against the Public Treasury and was also ordered to pay a fine of €133,798 (£117,519).
The sentence was suspended for two years and includes the condition of “the defendant not committing a crime again during the period of suspension”.
So it is highly-likely Ben Yedder will not spend any time behind bars.
The charges relate to the France international’s three-year spell at Sevilla until his departure in 2019.
    Read More on Man Utd
The 32-year-old scored 70 goals and bagged 22 assists in 138 appearances during his time in Seville.
Ben Yedder is widely remembered for knocking Manchester United out of the Champions League in 2018.
Sevilla and United met in the Round of 16 and the Frenchman fired his team to the quarter-finals thanks to a brace that led to a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils and the LaLiga giants are now set to face off again this Thursday in the Europa League quarter-finals.

But of course Ben Yedder won’t play any part as he is now competing in his home country for Monaco.
The centre-forward has so far amassed 96 goals and 30 assists in 161 games with the Ligue 1 giants.
United face Sevilla at Old Trafford in their first-leg and will visit Spain next week.
The winner of that tie will go on to face either Juventus or Sporting Lisbon, who knocked Arsenal out, in the semi-finals. More

Fuming Arsenal await police explanation for Chelsea postponement as fans think they’ve found real reason game was moved

ARSENAL and the Premier League are fuming after being ordered to switch the scheduled home game against Chelsea by the Met Police. And they are still waiting for an official explanation as to why the match cannot go ahead as originally planned.
Arsenal vs Chelsea has been moved by the Met PoliceCredit: Getty
The high risk Category A fixture was due to kick-off at 5.30pm on Saturday, April 29.
But it has now been put back by three days to the evening of Tuesday, May 2, just 24 hours after Arsenal Women host Wolfsburg at the Emirates in the semi-final of the Women’s Champions League.
An Arsenal spokesman said: “After working to try to find a solution with the Met Police, we are very disappointed with the impact and disruption this fixture change will cause to our supporters, particularly after this match had been initially approved for a Saturday evening kick-off.”
And a Premier League statement added: “We regret the need to move this fixture at late notice and the impact this will have on supporters.
    READ MORE ON ARSENAL
“The initial scheduling of this match was approved by a Safety Advisory Group meeting in February.
“However, the Metropolitan Police has now revised its position regarding the kick-off time and requested a further SAG meeting which determined the match had to be rescheduled.”
Although the Met have yet to reveal the reasons for their decision, it is believed that they would not have been able to provide enough officers to police the match on the Saturday.
With the coronation of King Charles taking place at Westminster Abbey the following Saturday, it has been suggested that a number of officers have been requested to take a day’s leave on the final weekend in April so they will be available for duty on May 6.

And fans think the real reason for the postponement is because officers want the day off, report Daily Cannon.
The fixture switch means that league leaders Arsenal will now have just four days to prepare for their crucial away game against Newcastle on May 7.
And with the Chelsea game coming the day after the second leg of the Women’s Champions League semi-final, with the potential for extra-time, there are also concerns about the damage to the Emirates pitch.
A joint statement from the Chelsea and Arsenal supporters’ trusts also condemned the move.
They said: “This decision is totally unacceptable. It is an insult to those supporters who are attending.
“We are deeply disappointed that a confirmed fixture has been moved with just 18 days notice after both clubs, the broadcaster, the Safety Advisory Group and the police had all confirmed it.
“This is not the first time that arbitrary and unaccountable decisions have been made by the police that will adversely impact our clubs and supporters.
“The decision will create a major inconvenience to supporters who will already have made travel and accommodation arrangements and will negatively impact those supporters attending the fixture.
“We call on the Premier League to provide a fuller explanation behind these issues. We will take this matter to the Mayor of London who oversees the Metropolitan Police.” More

Adama Bojang, 18, set the AFCON U20s tournament alight in March with four goals for The Gambia.
The striker, who idolises Cristiano Ronaldo, still plays in his homeland for Steve Biko FC.
And he is now attracting interest from numerous top English sides.
The Mail claims Chelsea are leading the race to sign Bojang, known as the “Gambian Hurricane” by fans.

Standing 6ft 3in tall, the forward has power and speed in abundance.
And many are already comparing him to Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen, who is also on Chelsea’s radar this summer.
Todd Boehly has made no secret of his desire to bring the world’s top starlets to Stamford Bridge.
And Bojang fits the bill, even though he would need to immediately leave on loan until he can secure a work permit.

But Chelsea face a battle to land the teen hitman.
Rivals Tottenham are big fans as they plan for life without Harry Kane.
Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest also like the look of Bojang, who is valued at a bargain £650,000.
And there is interest from other European clubs too, with Marseille, Ajax and Royal Antwerp also keeping tabs.
Reflecting on a future move, Bojang said: “I’ve heard about the news and I am excited about it.
“It boosts my morale. I’m focusing more on consistency which motivates me a lot, because seeing such clubs following you is a great feeling.
“Through consistency it will make them hungrier for me.
“I want to be like Cristiano Ronaldo, because he’s my favourite when it comes to the big name players.
“I’ve been watching his videos on YouTube after games. He posts his workout there so sometimes I try to watch those and motivate myself through that.” More

Chelsea fans convinced they will wreck Arsenal’s title hopes with rearranged fixture a good omen for Blues

CHELSEA fans believe they can derail Arsenal’s title bid like they did Spurs’ in 2016 – after the fixture was changed to the same May 2 date. The Gunners will visit Stamford Bridge three days later than planned following new police advice – giving them a six-day break after visiting main rivals Manchester City on April 26.

But Chelsea supporters believe memories of a famous thriller seven years ago can rouse this season’s current flops to another special night.
The Blues pulled off a 2-2 comeback draw on that memorable evening to kill off Tottenham’s faint chances and hand Leicester the biggest shock title triumph in Premier League history.
Harry Kane and Son Heung-min put Spurs in command but Gary Cahill and an Eden Hazard curler rescued a point.
Chelsea still only finished a dismal 10th that season, although they had been six places lower in December when Guus Hiddink became interim chief for the rest of the campaign following Jose Mourinho’s sacking.

Seven years on and the Blues are now eleventh – once more under a temporary boss in Frank Lampard.
And in contrast to Spurs’ slim hopes in 2016, the Gunners lead the table by six points from champions City, who have a game in hand.
One Blues’ supporter posted: “Chelsea vs Arsenal has been moved to May 2nd. On that day 7 years ago, Chelsea shattered Tottenham’s title hope. It’s written in the stars guys, I will be there no matter what.”
Another wrote: “History is about to be repeated.”

And a third claimed: “Chelsea to do Chelsea things, Arsenal’s the victim this time.”
One supporter said: “Am seeing Arsenal saying bye bye to the league.”
A fellow fan said of the delayed date: “Gives Chelsea time to plan better to stop this ‘title charge”.
But other observers called for a reality check.
One posted: “Unfortunately for you there is no Hazard in this Chelsea team. Chelsea were awful that season, they are awful this season too.”
And a few fans reckon the “extra rest” will only help Mikel Arteta’s Gunners. More
