Man Utd 2023-24 home shirt ‘leaked’ as fuming fans rage ‘what have we done to deserve this?’

MANCHESTER UNITED’S new home shirt has been reportedly leaked. And fans are furious with the alleged design, as one raged: “What have we done to deserve these kits year after year?”

A version of the apparent 2023-24 home kit circulated on social media.
The red shirt has a strange subtle snakeskin-style pattern across it, a V-neck and black and white trim.
The image online also shows the new adidas logo and TeamViewer sponsorship on the front as well as the iconic United badge.
One fan had already tweeted adidas to beg them for some nice kits next term.

The sportswear giant replied: “Soon,” with a shaking hands emoji.
However, supporters were less than impressed by the potential new strip.
One said: “You need to do some serious adjustments on the kit if the leaked sample we saw was actually it.”
Another wrote: “That is the worst kit I’ve ever seen.”

A third added: “Looking like double quilted toilet paper.”
A fourth fumed: “I’ll cry if this is it.”
And a final user commented: “Was this a kids’ competition? Under-12s design United a kit! This is the winner.”
However, a few fans were relatively happy with it.
One said: “Very clean… infinitely better than this year’s shirt.”
A second wrote: “This is actually nice.”
And a third typed: “That’s fire.”
However, plenty of fans pointed out that TeamViewer is set to be replaced as the front-of-shirt sponsor.
The software company terminated their £235million contract after less than two years in December following a drop in their share price.

Although a statement confirmed there will be an option for United to “buy back the rights”.
Adidas will make the kit once more as part of their ten-year, £750m deal with the Old Trafford club.

Chukwueze has enjoyed a brilliant season for the Yellow Submarine, notching 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
The 22-year-old winger was the star man when Villarreal beat Real Madrid earlier this month in a game that was overshadowed by Federico Valverde’s spat with Alex Baena.
Chukwueze scored twice at the Bernabeu to underline his potential.
Defensa Central report Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid are all keen to swoop for the star.

But other Premier League clubs including Everton, West Ham and Aston Villa are also believed to be in the hunt.
A potential stumbling block for any of the clubs is Chukwueze’s contract, which includes a release clause of £88m.
But his deal expires in the summer of 2024 so Villarreal will be under pressure to sell or face losing him for free this summer.
Chukwueze joined the Spanish club in 2017 after learning his trade at Nigeria’s Diamond Academy.

Jurgen Klopp confirms talks are underway for huge Liverpool reshuffle in massive transfer boost for summer

JURGEN KLOPP has confirmed Liverpool are in talks to appoint a new sporting director. The news will come as a boost to the club’s transfer ambitions in the summer, with Klopp feeling they should be able to navigate the window more effectively as a result.

On the talks, Klopp told reporters: “I am not involved in the ‘talks’ but maybe in the talks around, yes.
“I am not the person in the club who can give (a) real answer about where it stands. That’s in the hands of other people. What I heard is it’s all going in the right direction.”
Julian Ward, who is the current incumbent of the position, will be stepping down from the role at the end of the season.
Ward himself only took the role 12 months ago after Michael Edwards left following a 10-year stay at the club.

Klopp continued: “How many clubs are there out there without a sporting director now?
“Is there any club without a sporting director or a guy in the role of the sporting director? [Manchester] City, Arsenal, no. [Manchester] United, they have a sporting director?
“Pretty much everybody has a sporting director. That’s because it makes sense. With the decisions, how the manager is involved with decision-making, that is not a thing.
“But the process. If a manager has to do that, I don’t know how the guys did that in the past!

“Around that, talking to all the agents and all these kind of things. And constantly talking about a pound here and a pound there. You need people for that, there is no chance.
“And that’s why, yes, I’m happy with the structure. The guy or lady we get will be absolutely right. But nothing to say in the moment.”
Liverpool are set for a massive summer where it will be imperative for them to bring in the right players to return to fighting for the Premier League title, rather than scrapping away in a top-four chase.
And this is set to see the Reds prioritise midfielders despite pulling out of the race to sign £130million-rated Jude Bellingham.
This came as they reportedly chose to focus their resources across multiple targets rather than splashing it all on one player. More

The former United captain was full of praise for Ronaldo and the dedication he showed to improve and achieve success in the game.
And he believes Rooney had the talent to match but lacked Ronaldo’s mentality in terms of looking after his body and putting in extra hours on the training pitch.
In appearance on Rio Ferdinand’s Vibe with Five podcast, Vidic said: “You see Cristiano [Ronaldo] on Instagram, it’s all flashy stuff but he deserves it.
“At his age, 18, 19, to 21 to have that mentality to work hard, not go out, fight for your dream, the way he did it he deserves everything he got. For me, Wayne Rooney, he failed in terms of that.

“He is the one I think, if he was closer in mentality as Cristiano Ronaldo he can achieve much more. Definitely, that is my feeling.
“Physically he was amazing, technically as well. He is a great teammate on the pitch, him and Carlos Tevez, as a defender you want them on the pitch, they worked hard for the team.
“In one moment they are similar, the same. What brought Cristiano Ronaldo much higher was his mentality to change, to work hard, to improve, to have goals.
“I’m not saying Wayne didn’t have a mentality, but he played pure on his talent. He didn’t invest in his body, invest in extra training, the physical side.”

Laura Woods and Ally McCoist were left in stitches by Neil Warnock’s assessment
    McCoist could hardly contain himself
The Huddersfield manager insisted he would rather hold on to his current back-four than have Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Eric Dier or Ivan Perisic at John Smith’s Stadium.
Warnock told talkSPORT: “You couldn’t predict Tottenham losing five after 20 minutes.
“And I’m thinking, ‘Would you have any of them back four instead of my back four?’ I’d rather have Huddersfield.”
Tottenham found themselves down by five goals after just 21 minutes at St James’ Park.

Woods asked the experienced manager how he would have handled the situation after the Toon’s third goal.
Warnock bluntly responded: “I would have gone home.”
Woods and McCoist were left laughing their socks off but the 74-year-old tactician wasn’t done with his brutal assessment just yet.
The ex-Crystal Palace manager appeared to agree with Tottenham’s decision of sacking interim manager Cristian Stellini and replacing him with the also inexperienced Ryan Mason.

The Huddersfield boss also advised Mauricio Pochettino not to return to North London and go to Chelsea instead.
Warnock added: “I’m thinking, I’ve never seen anything like it. I couldn’t believe it. No disrespect, but you can’t put somebody like that [Stellini] in charge.
“I remember when [Antonio] Conte left and I said, ‘You mark my words – you have a listen at what he said – that dressing room’s gotta be decimated. Gotta be gutted’.
“I wouldn’t envy anybody coming in there now. If Pochettino’s got any sense he’d go to Chelsea [because] all they need is a centre-forward.” More

Watch Leeds fan pay £500 for Man Utd hospitality tickets at charity auction – just to set them on FIRE on stage

THIS is the shocking moment a Leeds fan paid £500 for Manchester United hospitality tickets at a charity auction – just to set them on fire on stage. The corporate hospitality tickets were struggling to get past the £100 mark until the man’s bid pushed them up to £500, on the condition he could burn them.

In a video, the fan – believed to support the Red Devils’ rivals’ Leeds – can be seen taking a lighter to the corner of the tickets before they go up in flames.
He then places the tickets into a bucket that he raises up to show the hall, hailed with football chants and cheering from the audience.
The winning bidder was attending a charity ball at Queens Hotel in Leeds on Saturday night in memory of Sharon Witcher, a mum who passed away two years ago from cancer.
Danny Waite, 32, from Leeds, posted the video to Twitter where it swiftly went viral.

He said: “It was a good night. That was one of the auction prizes, two tickets to Manchester United Corporate Hospitality Experience.
“So the Leeds fan bought it and just set fire to it. I know he loves a lot of Leeds games, he’s a big fan.
    Most read in The Sun
“There weren’t many United fans bidding on them.
“There were two bids previously at like £50 and then £100.
“It was stuck at £100 for quite a while and then he shouted out £500, and said ‘I’ll give you £500 to burn them’.
“So obviously, as it’s a charity event the auctioneer just said yes.

He added: “Everyone was cheering, there were a lot of Leeds fans in the room.
“It was quite funny and it was £500 going straight to charity so obviously everyone was quite jovial.
“A lad that I played football with, his mum died two years ago so we do it every year to raise money for St. Gemma’s.”
This bid made up part of the final £27,000 which was raised on the night for St. Gemma’s Hospice.
One person commented on Danny’s video: “500 quid goes to charity. Don’t see the problem.”
    Another said: “Fully endorse this.”
A third wrote: “Gets them to print them off again once he’s sobered up.”
But a less-than-impressed social media user said: “Wow, the mentality of a toddler. Bitter.”
A spokesperson for St Gemma’s Hospice said: “We are aware that one of our incredible supporters organised her annual charity ball in aid of St Gemma’s Hospice this weekend, in memory of her mum.

“The Hospice were not involved with any of the fundraising on the night with this being her own event, and we do not know the guest in question.
“The event raised over £20,000 for the Hospice last year, every penny of which is used to benefit local patients with life threatening illnesses and support their families.” More
