But United kept him quiet in their previous meeting this season, and produced one of their most accomplished displays in the 2-0 win.
Ten Hag believes he knows what to do to stop the striker once again and revealed there is a plan in place to deal with Kane.
He said: “It is quite clear his impact on the game.
“We have a plan, of course, for that. In the first game we did very well so for tomorrow we need that very good plan as well.

“You have to defend him as a team and he is a clever player, so don’t allow him to come in the situations where he can have a big impact on the game.”
Ten Hag is a big fan of Kane and he has reportedly made the England captain his no1 summer transfer target.
Spurs have been holding out for £100million for their record goalscorer – but United hope they will accept an offer below that.
It is believed the Red Devils board have sanctioned an £80m opening offer for their priority transfer target.

It is thought Ten Hag implored his seniors to stump up the cash because he is desperate to secure the striker to transform his side into genuine title contenders and therefore wants to open talks as soon as possible.
Kane is wanted by plenty of Europe’s top clubs including Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Chelsea, and he is thought to be open to an Old Trafford switch. More

Emi Martinez admits he ‘creates chaos’ and reveals he got into Bruno Fernandes’ head with brutal Cristiano Ronaldo joke

EMI MARTINEZ has opened up on what makes him so successful at saving penalties. The Aston Villa goalkeeper, 30, has developed a reputation for doing whatever it takes to ensure he comes out on top in shoot-outs after helping Argentina beat France in the World Cup final.

The 30-year-old also starred in the quarter final penalty win against The Netherlands with saves from Virgil van Dijk and Steven Berghuis.
And he saved three out of five penalties in Argentina’s Copa America semi final shoot-out win over Colombia en route to lifting the trophy in 2021.
Later that year Martinez was playing for Villa against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Having gone ahead in the 88th minute they conceded an injury time spot kick.

The World Cup winner admitted that he was surprised Bruno Fernandes and not Cristiano Ronaldo was taking the spot kick and he used this this to his advantage.
Speaking to Ian Wright and Oriana Sabatini on Behind The Game he said: “I saw Ronaldo disappointed for not taking it, and I thought there is tension here.
“I said ‘Come on, you take it now. He (Ronaldo) doesn’t want to shoot’. I said to Cavani ‘Why is Ronaldo not shooting?’ ”
The shot-stopper’s antics caused a delay to the penalty being taken and he was accused of trash-talking Fernandes.

The former Arsenal man denied this and explained he just wanted to put doubt in Fernandes’s mind.
Martinez was also seen jumping up and down on his line and swaying side to side, which was a tip international team-mate Lionel Messi had given him.
He said: “It’s not even trash-talk. I create chaos. It was the 92nd minute of the game, I have to distract him in some way because they’ve got everything to win.
“Bruno, he didn’t miss a pen for 25 pens or something. I asked Messi and he said when you move all around the place like that, they don’t like it.
“I was dancing not because I want to dance. I never practised that. I don’t know how to do it now, that just came out in the moment.
“The strikers they said ‘We pick a spot’, and the quality they’ve got they can put the ball in the spot.
“So if you’re moving around so you create chaos, actually we see different spots.”
Fans flooded to social media to give their thoughts on the explanation.
One replied: “That was a pretty cool explanation of Bruno’s pen, goalkeepers are always at a disadvantage in pens so it’s kinda cool to hear all the little tactics each keeper employs to level the field.”
A second said: “Even as a United fan I respect it. Especially because time has passed a bit since.
“The s*** housery is elite and I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t appreciate that.”

A third added: “It’s just mind games and it’s part of taking a penalty. Someone who can do that to an opponent consistently deserves to be admired.”
Maritnez and Aston Villa are flying high in fifth place in the Premier League and will continue their quest to secure European football away at Manchester United on Sunday. More

I was a Premier League star but if I wasn’t picked for the team I’d get blackout drunk – I’ve woken up in a police cell

Steven Caulker has bravely revealed he used to get “blackout” drunk after struggling to deal with anxiety from previous binges.
And the one-time England international even woke up in “police cells” and “hospital beds” after forgetting his antics from the night before.
Caulker, 31, currently plays in the Championship for Wigan Athletic.
But in his prime, the centre-back starred in the Premier League for sides like Tottenham, Liverpool and Southampton.

Caulker also enjoyed top-flight spells with Swansea, Cardiff and QPR.
And his travels even took him as far as Turkey, where he played for four different sides.
But Caulker admits there was a dark side to the beautiful game.
And his personal battle involved copious amounts of alcohol.

The now-Sierra Leone international admits he did not take well to rejection while at Spurs, turning to drink whenever he failed to make the team.
Caulker’s binges were so extreme he would often wake up in police custody, in hospital, or even “covered in blood” on the street.
And post-drinking anxiety affected him so badly that he often turned to booze again, going so far as to arrive at training still drunk before “throwing up in the toilets.”
Caulker told the Under The Cosh podcast: “You’ve got your family and friends there, then it comes to an hour-and-a-half before the game and you’re not even in the squad.
“Nothing’s been communicated to you, you just see your shirt’s not there.
“As a youngster I struggled to process that, and it was just met with rage, and then I’d self-sabotage, I just to go home, just walk away.
“I remember it was West Brom away for Tottenham, I just walked outside, got in the taxi straight back to London and I called my boys on the way back and said, ‘let’s go out’, and we’d go out and get smashed.
“I had a huge problem with alcohol. Not every time I drink but three times out of 10 I’ll black out, and from that moment I don’t remember anything.
“I’d wake up in police cells, I’d wake up in hospital beds, I’ve woken up on the street covered in blood, no recollection. Scary.
“The anxiety after that. For anyone who’s ever been in that cycle will know the next thing to do is drink again.

“Because I can’t handle the anxiety and the fear. Drink again, block it out. And by the time I’m back training Monday, I’m either still drunk or I’m f***ed because I’m hungover.
“I’d be throwing up in the toilets trying to find a way to get through training. That was a vicious, vicious cycle.”

Fernandes hobbled out of Wembley with an ankle injury after being subbed in extra-time during their semi-final win against Brighton on Sunday.
The alarm was then raised when his wife posted a picture of the Portuguese ace with his foot bandaged up and a protective boot and crutches next to him.
But United boss Ten Hag has calmed fears that signified a major problem and said it was just precautionary and he could still be fit for Thursday night’s encounter.
Ten Hag said: “It’s more often with players that we protect them. It is about prevention, but it has to settle down.

“We have seen he played a full game and it happened in the first half. But tomorrow comes quick and we have to see what is possible. We don’t know yet. It is a question mark.”
Fernandes scored in the home league fixture against Spurs as United won 2-0.
It was a game where Spurs and England record goalscorer Harry Kane was kept quiet.
Now Ten Hag says they have a plan to do the same again in North London.

United bounced back from a 3-0 thumping in Seville to exit the Europa League with that penalty shoot-out victory over Brighton to reach the FA Cup Final.
Now Ten Hag has warned that they have to prepare for the same with Spurs ‘mad’ after their 6-1 humbling to Newcastle at St James’ Park.
He said: “It’s obvious they had a really bad defeat, of course, they are mad, that can be fuel for bounce backing. It’s about us, an opponent can never be more hungry than us.

Chukwuemeka, 19, is in his first season at Chelsea following a £20million move from Aston Villa last summer.
The attacking midfielder has made 12 appearances in all competitions.
