FA told to hit Liverpool with a POINTS DEDUCTION after Jurgen Klopp’s referee claims and Tottenham antics

It came following Diogo Jota gave Liverpool a dramatic 4-3 win over Tottenham after Spurs had come from 3-0 down to equalise late on through Richarlison.
Klopp was booked after approaching fourth official John Brooks while celebrating Jota’s late winner – and suffering a freak injury in the process.
He is now set to be hit with an FA charge for his verbal attack on Tierney.
And CEO of Ref Support UK, Martin Cassidy, reckons Liverpool should be punished with a points deduction.

Cassidy told the Express: “Unless the FA start addressing this behaviour with a points deduction it will never change.
“Giving Liverpool a £30,000 fine is nothing. Start giving them points deductions and watch them shut up and behave.
“We believe that will be one of the silver bullets right across football to address right up from grassroots to the Premier League.
“There have been touchline bans for decades, but it’s not getting better, it’s getting worse.”

Cassidy went on to say on Klopp: “I don’t know how he can justify the actions which he’s been doing since his days at Dortmund. I don’t accept his argument of passion.
“As a Liverpool fan was Bob Paisley, Kenny Dalglish or Bill Shankly not as passionate as Jurgen Klopp? Of course they were but they didn’t display the same behaviour as him.”
Klopp told Sky Sports after the game: “We have our history with Tierney, I really don’t know what he has against us.
“He has said there [are] no problems but that cannot be true.”
A statement from PGMOL after Klopp’s comments said the group “strongly refute any suggestion that Tierney’s actions were improper.”
A spokeserson said: “PGMOL is aware of the comments made by Jurgen Klopp after his side’s fixture with Tottenham Hotspur.
“Match officials in the Premier League are recorded in all games via a communications system.
“Having fully reviewed the audio of referee Paul Tierney from today’s fixture, we can confirm he acted in a professional manner throughout including when issuing the caution to the Liverpool manager.
“So, therefore, we strongly refute any suggestion that Tierney’s actions were improper.” More

Borussia Dortmund have slapped a £130million asking price on the midfielder which has deterred Liverpool’s interest, but United are still in the running.
And United could hold a secret weapon in the form of new director of football negotiations Chris Hargreaves, according to the Daily Mail.
The former Adidas executive was appointed last month following the departure of Matt Judge last year.
Hargreaves will be negotiating deals for the club and it’s been reported he has accepted terms with United and will start before the summer transfer window.

He previously worked as a marketing director at Adidas and focused on players and scouting, and he looked after several major clients – including Bellingham.
And United will hope that gives them the upper hand in the battle to sign the 19-year-old.
It comes amid reports Real Madrid are set to send officials to Germany in an attempt to lure Bellingham to the club.
They are understood to have a “direct” line of communication with the former Birmingham star.

Manchester City are also keen on the wonderkid and began making efforts to sign him last October.
The club invited Bellingham into the dressing room following a 0-0 draw with Dortmund and presented him with a shirt signed by Erling Haaland.
