Tottenham ‘make Franck Kessie enquiry’ with Barcelona expected to demand £22m fee for midfielder transfer

He penned a four-year contract at the Nou Camp but the Ivory Coast ace has struggled to cement himself in the starting XI.
Kessie has made 39 appearances for the LaLiga side but only five of them have been starts in the Spanish top-flight.
Rumours first started that he could be leaving Barcelona back in October – but his agent quickly slammed them as “fake news”.
However, Spurs are known to be long-term admirers of Kessie and allegedly had a £13m bid for him rejected ahead of the January transfer window opening.

Now, despite still looking for a new permanent manager to replace Antonio Conte, a new report from Spain has claimed that they are making a renewed approach to try and sign him.
SPORT claim that the North London club have once again inquired about Kessie and that the ace “is one of the players chosen to leave Barca as of June 30”.
Cash-strapped Barcelona are desperate to balance the books in order to firstly hold on to their key stars and to ensure they can bolster their squad with new additions.
Kessie is also believed to have been one of a number of players that has refused to take a pay-cut to help Barcelona try and finance the return of Lionel Messi and is said to be valued at around £22m.

Newcastle are believed to be plotting a £70m swoop for the Brazilian attack. More

It also took his tally to an astonishing 51 for the campaign.

Jurgen Klopp branded a ‘sore loser’ by former Liverpool boss who says entire coaching team are ‘very confrontational’

JURGEN KLOPP has been branded a “sore loser” by Liverpool legend Graeme Souness. It comes following last week’s heated confrontation between Klopp and officials during the Reds’ clash with Tottenham.

An irate Klopp charged towards fourth official John Brooks following Diogo Jota’s last-gasp winner in the 4-3 thriller, with the German then being given a caution by Paul Tierney.
Klopp’s emotions also spilled over in his post-match interviews, with the Reds boss being slapped with an FA charge for his comments.
And Souness does not believe this is a good look for the Liverpool boss.
Writing in his Daily Mail column, Souness said: “What Jurgen Klopp did on Sunday, by running up to the fourth official and getting in his face, overstepped the mark.

“I have been a manager and I know there have been times when I was embarrassed by my actions.
“When you’re that aggressive towards an official, it is not a good look. It is not an argument you’re going to win and it will end up getting you in trouble, like Klopp has.
“I have sat behind Liverpool’s dugout in an empty stadium, the game at home to Chelsea when they won the league three years ago.
“I learnt that night that their bench is up for an argument, and it’s not just Klopp, they’re all at it. They’re very confrontational.

“I later read Mark Clattenburg’s autobiography and I recall him saying that Klopp was the worst of all the managers when it came to being a sore loser. That is what we are seeing.
“When you’re a manager, you’re two different people. If Liverpool are having a great season and Klopp’s team are playing really well, that incident with the official doesn’t happen.”
Liverpool have endured a topsy-turvy season, at times looking like a shadow of their former selves.
However, five wins on the bounce have propelled them back into the top four race, now sitting just four points behind Manchester United who occupy the final Champions League spot.
Souness, who announced he would be leaving Sky Sports after 15 years working as a pundit, added: “Last week against Spurs captured their season in 90 minutes — the good and bad.
“That frustration has shown itself in a negative way for Klopp, and he’ll know that. He will try to make sure it won’t happen again, but you can’t guarantee it.
“He’s a passionate man and Liverpool will have to improve on the field before he is happy and feeling calmer within himself.” More

And one of the first things he did was ban fish fingers, chips, and mushy peas.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim the decision did not go down well with many of the squad.
The meal was also said to be one of Ferguson’s favourites.
Legendary United boss Fergie is said to have often opted for a fish finger and mushy peas sandwich over the more fancy dishes on offer during his days in charge.
