The star is an ardent New England Patriots supporter and in 2019 went to the Super Bowl in Atlanta to cheer on his team as they battled it out with the LA Rams.
In his latest show of love for the sport, the NFL UK’s Instagram channel shared a number of snaps of the star kitted out in full NFL gear.
But football fans couldn’t resist taking the chance to have a cheeky dig – suggesting he should make the switch to the NFL in order to finally win some silverware.
One wrote: “Time to try for a trophy… in the NFL”.

“It goes back to that drive to be the best. Even if I download a game on my phone, can I be the best in the world?
“If you play in the Premier League and the World Cup and you then play in the NFL, would you then be considered one of the greatest sportsmen ever?”
And he added that NFL legend Tom Brady inspired him to become the football superstar he is today.
Kane added: “I started watching him on YouTube, we’ve had a similar path being doubted when we were younger. Maybe not being the best athletes as kids.
“It was quite a big inspiration. Not many people thought he’d become that good, or even play in the NFL, and he went on to become the best ever.
“At the time, it gave me a real boost to say, look, anything is possible. If you have that self-belief and that drive and that hunger, you can do it.”
The striker overtook Wayne Rooney to become the second-highest Premier League goalscorer on Saturday.
Tottenham’s all-time top scorer, 29, headed in to earn a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
That was his 209th strike in the Premier League, moving him one clear of Rooney on 208 and the current Three Lions captain, who is also our country’s all-time top scorer, is now just 51 goals behind Alan Shearer’s all-time record of 260 goals.

Arsenal title hopes suffer hammer blow as TWO key stars are ruled out for season

ARSENAL have suffered a huge blow to their title hopes as two of their key men were sidelined for the rest of the season.Centre-half William Saliba and left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko have both played a huge role in the Gunners’ success this term.

However, now Mikel Arteta’s side will have to go into the final Premier League run-in without the pair due to injury.
Frenchman Saliba, 22, has been a rock at the back alongside Gabriel this term but suffered a back injury in the Europa League defeat to Sporting Lisbon in March.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian international Zinchenko hurt his calf in the 2-0 win at Newcastle on Sunday.
Now Arteta has discovered that neither of them will return to full fitness before the final game of the season on Sunday 28 May.

However, the pair are not expected to require surgery.
Saliba has been absent for Arsenal’s last eight matches, including a sticky run of games that led to them dropping points last month that handed rivals Manchester City the advantage at the top of the table.
He had made 33 appearances in all competitions for the North London club before his setback.
Zinchenko, who arrived at the Emirates from City last summer, has also played 33 times.

Scottish international Kieran Tierney will step in and deputise in his absence while Rob Holding was originally partnering Gabriel after Saliba’s injury.
However, Poland international Jakub Kiwior has started the last two games, which were victories over Chelsea and Newcastle.
Right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu is also out and could be sidelined for another six months after undergoing a major knee operation in March.
Arsenal are next in action against Brighton at home on Sunday and have two games left after that.
They go into the weekend trailing leaders City by a point and having played one more than Pep Guardiola’s team.

World Cup winner Cesc Fabregas is the standout name who will take to the field at The Soccer Tournament – representing his current side Como 1907.
West Ham – managed by Tom Skinner, Wolves, Borussia Dortmund and Hashtag United are all sending teams to compete, while the US national teams will have two separate squads made up of women’s and men’s legends.
And following their celebrations in Las Vegas following the dramatic promotion back into the EFL, Reynolds and fellow Hollywood star and co-owner Rob McElhenney could also lace up their boots for the Wrexham Red Dragons.
Meanwhile, ex-Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland, fresh from claiming he “got the better” of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, heads up the Blade & Grass team.

The squad also features former top-flight players Emile Heskey, Morecambe striker Oumar Niasse, Geoff Cameron, Brek Shea, Keiren Westwood and one-time Manchester United man Chris Eagles.

Former Fulham and Tottenham ace Clint Dempsey has entered his own team while a host of MLS heroes are involved, as are Canadian Olympic medallist Lauren Sesselman, a load of social media stars and even MMA’s Gregor Gracie.

Tickets are already sold out – although all the matches at WakeMed Soccer Park will be live-streamed on YouTube – and every game is guaranteed to finish with a goal.
That is because matches will be 40 minutes long – two halves of 20.
But at the end of the second half, the teams will go into the ‘target score time’ that will be the winning team’s score plus one.
For example, if Team A is leading 4-2 after 40 minutes, the target score will be five – with both teams battling to reach that tally.
And if there has been a draw, then the target score will mean it is next goal wins – the target score for a 1-1 draw would be two.

Martin Odegaard features in the best Dream Team XI of the season – using no more than one player from each club

YESTERDAY, we published the best possible Dream Team XI of the season using only players from the bottom half of the Premier League table.Today, we present the best XI with a new restriction: that no club can have more than one representative.
    Let’s get into it…
    GOALKEEPER: Emiliano Martinez (£4m)
    World Cup winnerCredit: GETTY
Goalkeeper is the lowest-scoring position in Dream Team so it doesn’t make sense to select Nick Pope (£3.9m) or David de Gea (£3.7m) here because there are other Newcastle and Manchester United assets we need to make use of to ensure this XI is optimised.
Argentina’s No1 slots in nicely because with 94 points to his name he’s the seventh-best asset in his position, a ranking he could easily improve by two or three places before the season’s end.
Aston Villa’s significant upturn under Unai Emery has resulted in Martinez keeping eleven clean sheets in the league this term – only four keepers have more to their name at this stage.
DEFENDERS: Kieran Trippier (£5.4m), Ben Mee (£3.6m), Thiago Silva (£5m)
The Magpies’ first-choice right-back is in a league of his own among Dream Team defenders with 216 points overall, 63 more than his closest rival, Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.7m), who doesn’t make the cut because Liverpool’s best-performer (you know who) has over 100 more points.
Trippier was ever-present throughout the first two thirds of the campaign when Newcastle racked up loads of clean sheets and his creative output (mostly from set-pieces) has ensured a tide of 7+ ratings and Star Man awards.

    The Bees’ MeeCredit: GETTY
Generally speaking, it’s been a disappointing season for defenders so there’s no sense in using up a precious Manchester City, Manchester United or Arsenal allocation in this position, which leaves the door open for Brentford’s reliable centre-back.
Mee has churned out 109 points to date, the same tally as John Stones (£6.2m), and his consistent performances have helped the Bees to a comfortable top-half finish.
Chelsea’s troubles in attack help us out in this exercise as it means we can confidently select their best defensive asset without missing out on substantial points elsewhere.
The Blues actually boast a very respectable defensive record this season; their total of 39 goals conceded is equal to Arsenal’s and is only bettered by Man City and Newcastle.
Prior to his injury, Silva was a class act amid faltering team-mates and he only dropped out of the top ten Dream Team defenders while sidelined – he’s now on 103 points.
MIDFIELDERS: Bruno Fernandes (£6.9m), Martin Odegaard (£4.5m), Solly March (£4.8m), Jarrod Bowen (£4m)
Marcus Rashford (£7.3m) has the second-highest points tally among all players this season but we crunched the numbers and found the optimum combination featured Man United’s midfield maestro instead – tough break for the England international.
Fernandes is one of only two players in his position on 200+ points and his battle with Kevin De Bruyne (£8.4m) for supremacy looks set to go down to the wire – you don’t need us to tell you why the Belgian isn’t present in this XI.
    A massively impressive season
Arsenal’s captain has exactly the same number of points (187) as Bukayo Saka (£5.4m) at this stage and the only reason we opted for Odegaard is because he averages more points-per-game than his team-mate.
The Gunners had strong candidates for this team in defence but ultimately it had to be one of their two standout midfielders, who have both been among the top five assets in their position for the majority of the season.
Brighton’s enterprising midfield makes March (153 points) an easy selection, he edges out Kaoru Mitoma (£4.6m) by eight points, although the Japanese winger is likely to overtake his team-mate soon as it looked as if the Englishman pulled his hamstring in Game Week 33.
Just six midfielders are above the Seagulls’ No7 is the rankings: De Bruyne, Fernandes, Riyad Mahrez (£6.3m), Saka, Odegaard and Phil Foden (£5.3m).
West Ham’s No20 completes our midfield having earned 137 points despite his side’s underwhelming domestic campaign.
Bowen has taken full advantage of favourable match-ups in the Europa Conference League with over a third of his points having been registered on Thursday nights.
FORWARDS: Erling Haaland (£10.5m), Mohamed Salah (£8.8m), Harry Kane (£9.2m)
It takes someone special to deny De Bruyne a spot
De Bruyne and all of City’s other successful assets never stood a chance when pitted against Haaland.
The prolific Norwegian’s tally of 419 points is 126 clear of his nearest competitor among all players – a ludicrous margin.
    Read More on The Sun
In truth, our forward line more or less takes care of itself with tried-and-tested goalscorers Salah (259 points) and Kane (256 points) once again delivering the goods despite their respective clubs’ problems in 2022/23.
Our team may be a tad top-heavy but that’s only because we followed the points! More

After winning the 2007 FA Youth Cup, he then made his senior debut in the League Cup.
He replaced Gary Neville off the bench to help United defeat Derby 4-2 in a match that Cristiano Ronaldo scored in.
Loan spells at Peterborough, Plymouth and Carlisle followed before he was sold to Hull City in 2011, where he helped The Tigers reach and scored in their 2014 FA Cup Final defeat to Arsenal.
A switch to West Brom followed before he then headed to rivals Aston Villa and Stoke City before he eventually ended up at Derby last summer after being released by Stoke.

Now the centre-half, who helped Wales reach the semi-finals of Euro 2016, is looking for another new club.
The Rams missed out on the League One play-offs by a point this season and have released a number of players as a result along with the 34-year-old Chester.
Meanwhile, another former United starlet is also on the look-out for a new employer.
Full-back Regan Poole, who appeared for the Red Devils in the Europa League before leaving to join MK Dons in 2019 has rejected a new deal at Lincoln City.

They finished 11th in League One, but despite making 56 appearances this term, Poole is hoping to make a step-up in the EFL.
Lincoln director of football Jez George said: “He wants to explore options at a higher level and we fully respect that.”
These two announcements come after Nick Powell was released by Stoke.
The forward, 29, was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012 in a deal worth up to £6million.
And he featured six times in Fergie’s final season in charge of the Red Devils.
But over the course of the following three years he played just three games for Man Utd as he was farmed out on loan to Wigan, Leicester and Hull.
He left Old Trafford on a free transfer in 2016 and signed a permanent deal with Wigan – who were in the second tier at the time but suffered relegation down to League One the following year.
After helping The Latics return to the Championship, he joined Stoke in 2019 and would rack up 119 appearances for the club. More

Harry Kane, Antoine Griezmann and Newcastle stars snubbed by Kieran Trippier, who names his best-ever team-mate

At Tottenham, he featured alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min.
He then moved to Atletico Madrid and won the LaLiga title in a squad which included Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez and Joao Felix.
And now he has returned to England with Newcastle where the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron are all featuring in the team.
But Trippier does not consider any of those to be the best player he has played alongside.
Dembele is incredibly well-respected among those he played alongsideCredit: News Group Newspapers Ltd
Instead, the England full-back has stated that former Belgian midfielder Mousa Dembele is at the top of that list.
Speaking to fans on social media, he said: “The best player I’ve ever played with has got to be Mousa Dembele when I was at Tottenham.
“The guy was an absolute magician with the ball. I haven’t seen anyone like him before, so I’ve got to say him.”
Dembele spent seven years at Tottenham between 2012 and 2019.

Speaking in 2017, Poch said: “He has started to work very hard, we are very happy with him.

Seven signs Erling Haaland is football’s wackiest star – from awkward workouts with ‘world’s sexiest athlete’ to £2k PJs

HE’S the unstoppable goal machine who’s often compared to The Terminator. But in real life, Erling Haaland is far from a robot, with a quirky, larger-than-life personality that has frequently left fans in stitches.
Erling Haaland is easily one of football’s wackiest starsCredit: INSTAGRAM/ERLING HAALAND
Not only does the Manchester City striker, 22, have 35 goals to his name this season, but he also has a bizarre ‘cannibal’ diet and an astonishing wardrobe of luxury pyjamas.
Mix that in with hilarious interviews, questionable ‘dark art’ tactics during matches and some very awkward run-ins with influencer supermodels and you have the makings of a truly once-in-a-generation striker.
Here, we reveal seven ways City’s target man has made his mark – on and off the pitch.
    ‘Dark arts’ tactics
Haaland is considered among the world’s greatest footballers – as highlighted when he became the Premier League’s highest goal-scorer with five games to go.

But it seems he’s not always gentlemanly about his tactics, which have amused some fans and left others slamming his “childish mind games”.

Haaland appeared to mock Everton’s Ben Godfrey in one matchCredit: BBC
Earlier this month, the star was branded a “madman” after making a rather unusual shout to his opponent.
During his team’s 3-0 victory against West Ham, viewers were stunned as he appeared to yell “hit me in my balls” while standing in the wall for a free kick.
“This man is a different bread I swear,” declared another tweeter.

While another said: “Just when I thought I couldn’t love Haaland anymore…”
Last year, he also appeared to mock Everton defender Ben Godfrey by pulling a funny face in a video which quickly went viral.
He was attempting to mimic the player’s complaints to the referee and fans found it hilarious.
One wrote: “Football is so much better when players have a personality, these were at it all game and made for a great watch.”
Haaland was accused of ‘farting’ on players during a match against Bayern MunichCredit: Tiktok
In another bizarre moment, Haaland was accused of having “no respect” by Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka after apparently farting throughout their Champion’s League clash.
Hilarious footage emerged of the defender, 28, pinching his nose while his rival grinned broadly.
Later, Goretzka told international newspapers that Haaland “farted every time we approached him”.
The revelation, which fans joked could explain his whopping score sheet, led some to rebrand the star “Erling Fartland”.
One amusingly quipped: “Extra propulsion for additional speed.”
    Squad banter
Haaland’s reputation for being a jokester led to him being cast in a Sky Sports video, where he explained what he was doing while his Man City teammates were at the World Cup.
In the video, he was seen driving a lawn mower, dressing up like the club’s mascot and pretending to talk with teammates’ football shirts.
Haaland released an amusing video about what he did to keep occupied while Man City’s England players were at the World CupCredit: instagram.com/skysports
He even dressed up in the Man City mascot’s headCredit: instagram.com/skysports
He said: “I have been working hard while the guys are away. Sometimes it’s a bit boring but time is flying.
“I do miss all the banter, I’m not going to deny… celebrating goals alone it’s not the same.”
In another video back in March, Haaland and Jack Grealish handed out an Oscar-style award to the team’s “biggest fraud”.
They announced the gong would go to Ruben Dias and the England ace said he was “in the gym four times a day” but they “never see anything”.
Haaland added: “Yeah, I mean, he’s all the time in the gym and the results… where is the results?!”
    Odd diet
In his doc, Haaland revealed he ate hearts and liversCredit: Haaland: The Big Decision.
Haaland’s complicated water filtration systemCredit: Haaland: The Big Decision.
Haaland’s stomach issues may come as no surprise considering his, erm, unique diet.
The star has revealed he eats huge chunks of freshly-butchered heart and liver, which he says maintains his peak performance on the pitch.
His unusual intake led him to be compared to the fictional cannibal Hannibal Lecter, originally seen in the film Silence Of The Lambs.
In the 2022 documentary Haaland: The Big Decision, he said: “You (referring to other people) don’t eat this but I am concerned with taking care of my body.
“I think eating quality food that is as local as possible is the most important.”
Haaland consumes a whopping 6,000 calories a day – more the double the recommended amount for men – and often requests cheese and ham omelettes from Man City chefs.
His odd consumption habits don’t stop there as it was also revealed he only drinks water from a complicated filter system that has multiple tubes and cords.
He starts the day by getting “some sunlight in my eyes”, which he said was “good for cardiac rhythm”, before having his pimped-up H2O.
“I have also started to filtrate my water a bit. I think it can have great benefits for my body,” Haaland said.
The star, who regularly takes ice baths, drinks the fluid from glasses that filter out blue light and claims it helps to improve his sleep.
    Quirky posts
Haaland’s quirky personality extends to his social media accounts too.
In an April Instagram post, he revealed he drinks a “magic potion” – aka goats milk – and share some snaps of him at a farm.
The striker claimed a ‘magic potion’ – goats milk – was behind his high score tallyCredit: instagram.com/erling.haaland
The footballer also has shared a number of snaps of himself in animated scenes, including one showing him as a Viking.
In one post depicting him with a zombified face, he wished fans “HAPPY HAALANDWEEN!!”.
On another occasion in March, the star shared a touching post to mark International Women’s Day – but it didn’t go exactly to plan.
He posted a word search but referred to it as a “crossword puzzle”, leading to mockery from fans.
One wrote: “What makes it even better is that isn’t a crossword puzzle.”
Another, making light of the situation, quipped: “Babe, are you feeling okay? You didn’t even finish your Official Erling Haaland International Women’s Day Crossword puzzle…”
    Hilarious interviews
Haaland gave ‘hilarious’ responses to one interviewer earlier on in his careerCredit: YouTube
In comparison to most media-trained footballers, Haaland’s post-match interviews are a breath of fresh air.
Back in 2019, he revealed that he sleeps with up to five footballs in his bed and branded them his “girlfriends”.
Haaland told Dagbladet: “They lie in bed and I sleep well with them… I look at them every day. The best thing is to score goals.”
“In Salzburg, I have five,” he added. “They are my girlfriends.”
And it seems the tradition has continued since joining Man City, as part of a £51.2million five-year deal in 2022.
When quizzed about the odd antics in February, he replied: “It’s true. I love when I score a hat-trick to just feel the ball a bit more.”
But when he’s not talking about his ‘girlfriends’, unlucky reporters can occasionally draw the short straw with some very awkward responses.
In September 2019, after netting three goals to help his side Red Bull Salzburg win against Belgian team Genk, his very half-hearted post-match interview left fans praising his “dry wit”.
The reporter asked: “You made history scoring your first-half hat-trick, how are you feeling right now?
Haaland replied, “I feel good”, before being pushed to elaborate.
He added: “You asked how I feel. I answered.”
Next Haaland was quizzed about his “secret” behind scoring 17 goals in just nine games, only for him to give the answer: “To work hard.”
The exasperated reporter then asked: “You go to Liverpool in two weeks’ time. Your father [Alfe-Inge Haaland] scored at Anfield in 1997, are you hoping to follow suit?”
The star said: “I hope so.”
Sometimes with Haaland, it appears the less said, the better!
    Pyjama obsession
Haaland splashes out on pyjamas worth up to £2,400Credit: Social Media
He even wears them to high-end restaurants and teammates ‘giggle’ at his dress sense
Footballers are renowned for their expensive tastes in clothing – but the Man City ace appears to have focused on a very specific type of outfit.
It seems that Haaland has a penchant for expensive pyjamas as he’s got a wardrobe full of pieces costing up to £2,450 a set.
In April, he was snapped in red, white and black Dolce & Gabbana PJs that cost £1,000 while flying to the Monaco Grand Prix.
Haaland’s also dined out in his nightwear too – including at high-end Manchester restaurant Rosso, when he wore a powder blue silk shirt that cost £1,100.
Last December, he shared a snap of himself in £2,450 Dolce & Gabbana pyjamas while wishing fans a Happy Christmas.
The footballer’s teammates reportedly “have a giggle” at his odd dress sense.
One source told the Daily Mail: “He has so much money but look what he wears!”
Haaland also got a bit of flack for a GQ photoshoot in January when he let down his flowing blond locks.
    Racy workouts

Borussia Dortmund hired the ‘world’s sexiest athlete’ Alica Schmidt to train its playersCredit: instagram.com/alicasmd
Keeping in peak physical condition is a must for any sportsperson, yet it seemed Borussia Dortmund took an unorthodox approach to fitness while Haaland was there.
In 2021, they hired Olympic hopeful Alica Schmidt, who was branded the “Sexiest Athlete in the World” by Australian magazine Busted Coverage.
After spotting photos of the 24-year-old stunner, one fan quipped: “That’s why players stay in Dortmund.”
Another described it as “the greatest strategy of any club to keep their best players” and a third added: “I bet this is why Haaland didn’t wanna leave.”
A year later, Haaland recorded an exercise video with fitness guru Pamela Reif, who has nine million followers, to help Dortmund fans exercise at home.
And the pair appeared to hit it off during their nine-minute video, especially when the football found some stretches too hard to complete.
