Chelsea’s midtable finish and lack of European football will see them miss out on a minimum of £70mCredit: Reuters
The Premier League no longer make public the exact figures but each position in the table is worth £2.2m.
The broadcast revenue is pretty much divided equally, with clubs who are shown live in the UK most getting slightly more money.
An equal base payment is received by all clubs from TV rights, which was around £84m last season and is sure to be higher this season, with additional income depending on how often they are shown on domestic TV.
Liverpool and Chelsea are set to be the biggest losers with both missing out on qualification for the Champions League, which can be worth up to £100m for the following season.

Despite banking huge sums through parachute payments Southampton, Leeds and Leicester will have to offload their star players and reduce their wage bills as they adjust to life in the Championship.
Manchester City could earn an additional £4m if they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
In comparison, beating Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 10 would be worth £95m with Pep Guardiola’s side already earning £90m of that for reaching the showpiece event in Istanbul.
Should City go on and complete the treble they will earn almost £270m.

Five Leicester stars who could be flogged in summer transfer overhaul including trio on radar of Champions League clubs

LEICESTER could sell a number of big stars following relegation from the Premier League. The Foxes reportedly have a top ten Prem budget and a squad assembled for hundreds of millions of pounds.

But with income set to fall dramatically in the Championship Leicester will likely have to sell their prized assets after reporting losses of £92million last year.
Many will want to leave in search of top-flight football with defender Caglar Soyuncu one of several likely to leave when their contracts expire in June – the Turk is believed to have agreed to join Atletico Madrid.
A handful of stars are wanted by Champions League teams with the club set for a squad overhaul this summer.
SunSport takes a look at five big names who could be off when the transfer window opens.

    James Maddison
The England international is destined to leave and he is likely to join a Champions League club.
Newcastle made bids for Maddison, 26, in January and last summer but saw a £40m offer knocked back.
The Magpies are believed to have made the midfielder their number one transfer target this summer with sporting director Dan Ashworth keen.
And Leicester may be resigned to losing him with former manager Brendan Rodgers admitting Maddison needs to play at the highest level.

    Youri Tielemans
Tielemans, 26, is certain to leave when his contract expires at the end of next month.
He rejected fresh terms last year when he was being pursued by Manchester United.
The Belgian was linked to the Red Devils again in January but Arsenal now appear to be leading the race for his signature.
It is claimed the Gunners have held talks with the midfielder’s representatives, though Newcastle and Liverpool are also said to be monitoring his situation.

    Harvey Barnes
The winger is another Leicester star attracting attention from Newcastle and is likely to follow Maddison and Tielemans out of the exit door.
Tottenham and Aston Villa are reportedly “watching developments closely” too with Leicester demanding £60m for the 25-year-old.
He still has two years remaining on his contract but the Foxes may look to cash in while they can to put towards a squad rebuild this summer.

    Wilfred Ndidi
Ndidi, 26, is another Leicester star whose form has dropped dramatically over the last 12 months.
But he has been linked to the likes of Real Madrid, PSG and United in the past so is likely to court interest once again.
He also has just one year remaining on his contract so there could be an opportunity for a club to strike a bargain.

    Ricardo Pereira
The right-back was superb for Leicester before his cruciate ligament injury, which kept him out for 10 months.

Pereira once had Barcelona, Tottenham and PSG vying for his signature but at 29-years-old a move back to his native Portugal may be more likely.
Injury has reduced his game time in recent seasons so he may be keen to move on to revitalise his career.

Harry Kane hints he could STAY at Tottenham as he’s asked about Man Utd transfer speculation

HARRY KANE has hinted he could STAY at Tottenham despite strong speculation surrounding a transfer to Manchester United. The Spurs striker, 29, grabbed two goals on the final day of the season at Leeds.

That took his tally for the 2022-23 Premier League campaign to 30 and 213 overall as he continues to chase down Alan Shearer’s record.
However, where he will be playing his football next season still remains unclear with United and Real Madrid circling – especially as the striker enters the final year of his Tottenham contract.
But asked about the talk linking him to Old Trafford, Kane insisted nothing has changed at this stage – and he could stick with his boyhood club.
He told BT Sport: “No, no. That’s part and parcel of being a footballer – especially when you’re at the top of your game.

“I’ve just been focusing on this season and trying to help the team as much as possible.
“To score a couple today was nice, to finish that way, but all in all I’m just looking forward to a nice break and then a couple of games with England.
“It has been a disappointing season. We can’t let this win dust over that. A lot to work on.
“We have had to show fight in some moments. A club this size should not be finishing eighth and we need to go away enjoy a break and look how we can improve.”

Kane will lead the Three Lions in the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia next month.
But the hot topic of his club future will not go away until a decision is made.
Spurs, who are unable to offer any European football next season after finishing eighth, must decide whether to keep Kane and risk losing him for free or sell up this summer.
United are desperate for a new No9 to lead Erik ten Hag’s side in the Champions League and help them compete for regular silverware again.
They have made initial contact to sound out the White Hart Lane hero.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have identified the trophyless Kane as a suitable replacement for Karim Benzema.
Jamie Redknapp has explicitly told Kane to force through an exit this summer to get out of Tottenham.
    ‘SPURS ARE A SHAMBLES’
He said: “It’s the facts, it feels Spurs are a shambles, if you are Harry Kane with one year to go this is the time to leave he has to push now.
“Manchester United they might get someone, he missed Man City a few years ago, right now he needs to push with one year on contract to go somewhere.
“Tottenham are like a social experiment of how far you can push your fans before they completely lose it.
“They need to do something, no one wants to lose Harry Kane, he has been incredible but deserves better.”
And former Manchester United captain Roy Keane would be “excited” to see him lead the line for the Red Devils.
The Irishman said: “They’re going to be linked with lots of players but the one that would excite you really is Kane.

“I think Declan Rice would improve United, he would be a decent signing but in terms of the excitement and goalscoring, they’ve got to go for Kane.
“But can you see Spurs selling to United? Very, very difficult.” More

Ray Parlour snubs Zinchenko and Jesus as he names shock Arsenal transfer signing of the season

Despite leading the table for over 90 per cent of the season, Mikel Arteta’s side fell short with one game to play.
But Parlour, who made 447 appearances for Arsenal between 1992 and 2004, has praised the Gunners for their impressive effort.
In an interview with The Metro, the former midfielder hailed Bukayo Saka as Arsenal’s young player of the season, Martin Odegaard as the club’s player of the season, Gabriel Martinelli as the most improved player of the season and Ben White as the unsung hero.
But when naming his signing of the season, he opted for a shock candidate.

Parlour chose Jorginho, who joined the club in January, as his most favoured addition.
He said: “Jorginho has done a good job in midfield. He’s got good experience for the money [Arsenal paid].
“I’m going off the value of the players signed. Trossard has also been an excellent signing. Jesus leads the line very well.
“But probably for the money they spent and the experience they got, which they needed, as well as a back-up in midfield, I would go for Jorginho. For the last two or three games he has been really good.

How Premier League table would have looked without VAR with HUGE change to European places

BRENTFORD would have take Aston Villa’s Conference League place without VAR this season. But despite a campaign of big calls and some controversy, none of the other key positions at either end of the table have been altered because of the technology.
There would only be a few changes to the Premier League table without VAR

SunSport has tracked every decision changed after VAR intervention this season – 114 in total – and worked out the results of the match if the original decisions had stood.
That included 54 goals disallowed – including 36 for offside calls – and just 13 goals awarded, while 27 spot kicks were given and 12 penalties annulled.
Our study shows Newcastle had both the most VAR decisions FOR and AGAINST them – 11 of each.
Five teams – Chelsea, Everton, Leeds, Manchester City and Southampton – all benefited from VAR overturns on just three occasions, while Fulham had only two changed decisions against them.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
But our analysis shows that the changes only marginally affected the final standings after the 380 matches played between August and Sunday.
The top four would still have finished in the same order, although City would have won the league by 12 points rather than five.
Brighton, earning two points more, would leapfrog Liverpool – six points fewer – into fifth although both would still be in the Europa League spots.
But Brentford would have been two points better off and seventh as Aston Villa were a staggering 11 points better off as a result of changed decisions.

Indeed, had Deniz Undav’s first “goal” at Villa Park on Sunday not been ruled out for an offside call, Spurs would have finished seventh in the actual table.
Further down the league, the non-VAR table sees Chelsea and Crystal Palace swap places in 11th and 12th and Nottingham Forest going above West Ham and Bournemouth into 14th.
Yet while the bottom four would all have earned more points – five in the case of relegated Leeds – the finishing positions would have remained exactly the same, with Everton staying up by a single point rather than the two point gap in the official standings. More
