Referring to what he wants up front, Ten Hag explained: “What we need besides Marcus Rashford is one extra player with scoring abilities whether it’s coming out of our own squad or we have to sign one.”
As for Rashford’s incredible transformation, Ten Hag added: “What I have done? He’s a good football player, incredibly good and his finishing attributes are high.
“So, first of all, I make a culture where he can perform. Then I get him motivated and then construct a way of play where he can do it.
“And fitness, as well, don’t forget that part. When those four aspects are there Marcus Rashford will score.
“He can play as a centre forward, can play from the left, can play from the right. When you see his stats, he is scoring everywhere but he feels more comfortable as a centre forward or from the left.” More

Fellow midfielder Romeo Lavia, a target for Liverpool, will also command big money, but there are few others who match their value.
Despite dropping to the Championship, Ward-Prowse still has three years left on his deal and will be in demand this summer, leading to Southampton’s optimistic valuation.
West Ham have long tracked the England midfielder and are keen to add Fulham’s Joao Palhinha alongside him as they look to replace Declan Rice, a target for Arsenal and Manchester United.
Despite the Ward-Prowse’s age, suitors still feel there is a potential resale value in any deal given his goal and assist record as well as his set-piece ability.

A goal on Sunday took his Premier League tally for the season to nine goals, with four assists.
Ward-Prowse also created more chances than any other English midfielder in the Prem this season with 74.
No talks have been held between Ward-Prowse and interested clubs at this stage, with the Saints academy graduate planning some time away following his final Southampton game against Liverpool on Sunday.
He scored Southampton’s first goal in the thrilling 4-4 draw before receiving a standing ovation when substituted with four minutes to play.

Asked about that moment and whether it was his goodbye, Ward-Prowse said: “It is nice of course, this is a club that has meant a lot to me.
“I’ve been here for 20 years and had a fantastic journey, I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.
“You never know what is going to happen in the future.
“I come away this season with my head held high knowing I’ve done everything I can for this club, not only this year but ever since I came through the door as an eight year old.
“To play a part in not maintaining that Premier League status hurts me but I’m sure this club will be back in the future.”
Southampton have confirmed the appointments of Darren Mowbray as head of recruitment and Mark Bitcon as director of performance. More

Man Utd make historic change to badge as fuming fans label club ‘a disgrace’

MANCHESTER UNITED have made an historic change to their badge with fuming fans labelling the club “a disgrace”.The third kit will feature just a devil rather than the club crest with designers adidas going for a minimalist look.

The kit won’t feature the words Manchester United, the club’s badge layout or the ship which have been a permanent feature since the 1970s.
Instead, only a devil will appear on the shirt, which is off white in colour, and will be used when it is not possible to wear the club’s dark green away kit with white stripes.
Furious fans have taken to social media to vent their anger at the decision.
One user said: “Disgusting and I hope nobody buys it.”

A seconded commented: “Horrid decision. Let’s stop pretending that companies are ‘embracing all religions and races’ when they just put a straight devil on the shirt. Boycotts incoming.”
A third added: “At least it’s only the 3rd kit… absolutely hate this.”
A fourth said: “Hope nobody buys what the actual f***.”
The home and away kits will still feature the classic badge.

The last time the badge was changed was in 1998, the year before the Treble, when the words football club were removed.
There had been debate about whether the ship was an appropriate symbol on the crest due to potential association with the slave trade but according to The Athletic it is purely a design choice by adidas.
Adidas have taken a similar approach with Arsenal’s away shirt this season as they removed the club crest and just kept the cannon.
Despite agreeing an early termination of their sponsorship, Team Viewer will remain as the shirt sponsor next season.
Manchester United will hope to complete a domestic cup double when they take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday. More
