Mahrez has enjoyed another successful season with Pep Guardiola’s side, scoring 15 times and providing 13 assists.
But the Algerian is set to miss out on the starting line up for the showpiece event with Guardiola preferring Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva down the flanks.
And now Saudi suitors are attempting to lure Mahrez to the Middle East with a mega offer.
According to ESPN, Al-Ahli are hopeful of securing the services of Mahrez this summer.

The report adds that the Saudi side have offered the winger a two-year contract worth £40m a season plus bonuses, with the option of a third year.
Mahrez has become frustrated at a lack of playing time this season and is understood to be open to a move.
However, it remains unclear if City would allow the player to leave and what fee they would be expecting.
After the 3-0 win against Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi final in April, Guardiola admitted that Mahrez was frustrated at his lack of playing time.

He said: “He’s grumpy with me when he doesn’t play, all the time. He makes me notice when he’s grumpy.
“He is an exceptional player, his playing is exceptional on the biggest stages and he has the mentality to score a goal.
“The composure for the penalty was important, and the second and third were brilliant.
“So satisfied for Riyad because he loves to play football, he’s given many, many things in these years and hopefully more in the future.”
The situation is likely to be resolved after the Champions League final.
If Mahrez were to join he would be following in the footsteps of several high profile stars who have joined the Saudi Pro League.
Karim Benzema signed for Al Ittihad, joining Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia while N’Golo Kante is set to become another high-profile addition to the league.
Since joining City from Leicester in a deal worth close to £60m in 2018 Mahrez has established himself as an important member of Guardiola’s squad.

We live on the site of an iconic Premier League ground – it was once a much-loved stadium but now it’s hiding a secret

FAMILIES living on the site of an iconic Premier League ground say it hides a secret.Locals of the area around the once beloved stadium say it has become an “eyesore” and they want it to be redeveloped.

Leicester City’s old home in Filbert Street was the site of some of the club’s greatest victories, but has been reduced to a “pile of rubble” according to residents.
Paul Checkland, 17, whose home backs onto the ground, told The Sun Online that he hoped it would be turned into housing or a memorial for players and fans.
Instead, it is now run-down graveyard of glories past.
Paul said: “The site is a tip with ugly student blocks, which are now under repair and being re-cladded, and two unfinished new structures.

“No one has been informed of what’s going on but people have been complaining about the new student blocks going up because of lack of light and privacy,
“For now work on the new buildings have ground to a halt and we don’t know why.
“The place looks like a tip. It used to be a landmark, now it’s a pile of rubble.”
He added that tourists and fans who come to get a glimpse of the old ground are left disappointed and feel that it has been “destroyed”.

Paul’s dad Steven, a former football steward who has worked at both the old and new Leicester stadiums, expressed his dismay that the place had been left to crumble while the “monstrosity” of a student block was repaired.
It is now fenced off, with two new towers of flats scheduled but held up amid a planning row.
Amanya Bangar, a student living in the current block, said: “It’s quite isolating living here, there’s nothing to do and not a lot happening around here.
“It’s boring. The only thing we have is a Morrisons shop.
“Our whole block is being re-cladded because of water leakages, the workmen are there now and it’s nosy and disruptive.”
He pointed to an overgrown patch of land at the front of the site, which he feels could be turned into a park for locals.
The Filbert Street ground opened in 1891 and served as Leicester’s home until 2002, when they moved into the nearby King Power Stadium.
The old building was demolished and sold to developers for £3.75 million, though it is yet to be fully reconstructed.
It comes after a far happier group of residents near a footie ground told The Sun about the crazy perks that come with it.

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy have been battling for the No1 spot at Stamford Bridge over the past 12 months.
But they could now both be unseated by highly-rated Cameroonian Onana, 27.
The Inter Milan shot-stopper is set to face Manchester City in the Champions League final on Saturday.
And while he only arrived in Italy at the beginning of the season, his sensational form has seen him already linked with a move elsewhere.

According to Tutto Mercato, Onana has agreed personal terms with Chelsea.
But the Blues have seen an opening bid worth £34million rejected by the Italian giants.
The keeper signed a five-year deal with Inter to keep him at the club until 2027.
And the lengthy contract means he will likely set teams back a sizeable fee if they are to pluck him away from the San Siro this summer.

It is understood a fee in the region of £40m will be required to acquire the Cameroon international.
And the Blues are desperately keen to offload players this summer.
They are bidding to trim down their inflated squad following a £600m spending spree across the last two transfer windows.

William Saliba contract details revealed as he agrees new four-year deal despite Arsenal being left in shock by demands

ARSENAL have given in to William Saliba’s demands to agree a new long-term contract with the French international defender. The final details of the deal are still being worked out but the club are now confident of the 22-year-old centre-half putting pen to paper in the next few weeks.

And that comes as a massive relief to manager Mikel Arteta, who was desperate to avoid any uncertainty dragging into the new season.
It is understood that the contract, which will run to 2027 with the possibility of an option for a further 12 months, will be worth around £200,000-per-week.
That is considerably more than Arsenal were hoping to pay Saliba, whose current salary is only £40,000-a-week.
SunSport exclusively reported last month how Arsenal were in shock at his demands.
    Read more Football
But with only 12 months remaining on his current contract and French Champions Paris St. Germain closely monitoring the situation, Saliba’s advisors always had the upper hand in negotiations.
Arteta made it absolutely clear that the player was central to all of his long-term plans and must be kept at any cost.
And that has resulted in the club more or less agreeing to pay the player whatever he wanted to secure his long-term future.
Saliba is currently recovering from the back injury which ruled him out of Arsenal’s final 11 games of the season and has not been included in the French squad for their forthcoming Euro qualifiers against Gibraltar and Greece.

But it is hoped he will be fit enough to take part in next month’s pre-season tour of the USA and the aim is to have the contract signed before they cross the Atlantic.
Saliba, a £27million signing from St.Etienne in 2017, becomes the fourth key Arsenal player this year to agree a new long-term contract, following on from Gabriel Martinelli, Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka.
The club are also putting the final touches to a new deal for Reiss Nelson, who is out of contract at the end of this month but is now set to stay at the Emirates.
Arteta wants to get his squad sorted as quickly as possible this summer ahead of the club’s long-awaited return to the Champions League.
They are ready to open the bidding for West Ham skipper Declan Rice with an offer in the region of a club record £90million and are also looking to further strengthen in midfield and in defence.
Fans have taken to social media to express their delight at the news.
One said: ” We are cooking!!”
Another replied: “Great deal. He will dominate the league for years to come.”
A third added: ” Best news I’ve heard this week.” More

And it even hosted a European semi-final, with the mighty Juventus coming to visit.
But what it is most known for is being the making of one of English football’s all-time great managers.
Now, however, it is all gone apart from a statue commemorating the golden moments.
In 1997, the club that played at the ground moved to a 33,000-seater new stadium.

And despite the new venue being state of the art, it cannot be said to have enjoyed as much success as the old one, as it saw the record low Premier League points total set and now hosts a League One club.
If that clue didn’t give the answer away, the club in question is Derby County.
The Rams first moved into the Baseball Ground in 1890, when it had a capacity of just four thousand.
But at the height of Brian Clough’s success as boss, 42,000 people could be accommodated at the ground.

This dropped to just 18,300 when the 1989 Hillsborough disaster and the Taylor Report which followed mandated all-seater stadia across England’s top two divisions.
Once the new ground at Pride Park was completed in 1997, the Baseball Ground was retained for six further years and hosted Derby reserves until it was demolished to make way for housing.
A Baseball Ground sculpture was then built on the site of the old stadium to commemorate the 107 years it hosted Derby County. More
