Williams will link up with Mark Hughes’ League Two side, who are desperate to win promotion after losing out in the play-offs to Carlisle.
Bradford have already sold 17,000 season tickets for next season.
Williams is believed to have turned down offers from fellow League One side Northampton as well as League Two trio Wrexham, Notts County and Gillingham.
That means the playmaker will not be part of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s popular project.

But if that isn’t enough to ensure his exit, Bild understands his deal also contains a stipulation that he is not allowed to play in the Championship.
Koch joined Leeds from Freiburg after their promotion to the Premier League in 2020.
He has made 77 appearances for the Yorkshire side, helping them to a ninth-place finish in their first season back in the top flight.
Manager Marcelo Bielsa, who guided Leeds to promotion, was sacked during the 2021/22 campaign, before they narrowly avoided relegation under Jesse Marsch.

Former Norwich boss Daniel Farke and West Brom head coach Carlos Corberan have both been linked with the vacant position.

The British boxer mixed it up with a number of legendary athletes, such as Roberto Carlos, Francesco Totti, Hernan Crespo as well as Usain Bolt.
They took on England, consisting of a number of Three Lions greats like Paul Scholes, Jermain Defoe and Gary Neville, as well as Team GB icon Sir Mo Farah.
Tommy started on the bench and was fielded by new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino after 21 minutes when he replaced Maisie Adam amid a loud ovation from the crowd.
However, the brother of Tyson Fury failed to set the pitch alight the same way he has done in the ring against opponents like Jake Paul.
