Kalidou Koulibaly and N’Golo Kante have already completed moves to Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic, Trevoh Chalobah, Edouard Mendy, Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz are all potentially departing before the new season.
And Sportitalia are now reporting AC Milan are keen to sign Loftus-Cheek, 27.
The Italian giants are in the market for a midfielder as Ismael Bennacer is set to miss the start of the new campaign with a knee injury.

Stefano Pioli’s men are also preparing to lose Sandro Tonali – who is expected to be announced as a Newcastle player at the beginning of next month.
As a result, Loftus-Cheek could solve some of Milan’s problems as he eyes more game time.
The Lewisham-born star, who has received 10 caps for England, started 19 Premier League matches last season.
But he struggled to make a positive impact and even spent nine games being utilised as a right-wingback.

AC Milan are understood to be keen on the midfielder – who has not played for England since 2018.
But they face competition from local rivals Inter Milan after they recently met with Chelsea chiefs to discuss a number of deals including Loftus-Cheek.
He appeared to say goodbye to Blues supporters during the final game of last season as the Stamford Bridge faithful gave him a standing ovation when he was substituted.
Loftus-Cheek has racked up 155 appearances for the West London outfit, contributing 13 goals and 18 assists since making his debut in 2014.
He has won the Premier League and Europa League during his nine-year stint with the club. More

Man Utd ‘make contact with Adrien Rabiot’ with Juventus star available on free transfer as Mason Mount alternative

MANCHESTER UNITED have made contact with Adrien Rabiot’s representatives over a free transfer, reports say. United are the market for a new midfielder but have so far been rebuffed in their efforts to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea.

So according to The Athletic, they could turn to old target Rabiot.
The Frenchman’s Juventus contract expires at the end of June but the club want him to sign a one-year extension.
Rabiot, 28, has a good relationship with manager Massimiliano Allegri and made 48 appearances with 11 goals last season.
The player came close to joining United last summer but the Premier League club failed to agree personal terms with him.

Instead they signed Casemiro, 31, for £70million from Real Madrid.
United’s top target in this window has been Mount, 24, but so far their three bids for the England international have been rejected.
A third offer of £55m was turned down by Blues chairman Todd Boehly last Friday afternoon.
But just a few hours later Boehly told his Old Trafford counterparts that he would be willing to do business if they stump up a further £10m.

It is the first time throughout the whole saga that Chelsea have gone on the front foot in talks and said they are prepared to strike a deal of any sort.
Chelsea then went even further and proposed a face-to-face meeting with United to try to thrash out a compromise.
SunSport understands they will accept a structure of a £58m down payment with £7m in add-ons.
The ball is now firmly in Erik ten Hag’s court whether he is happy to stump up the extra cash for a player with just one year left on his contract.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, Havertz has already completed the first part of his medical tests with Arsenal.
It is added that contracts will be signed by the Gunners with the transfer to be completed this week.
Chelsea bought Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020 for £75m in what was a then-club record deal.
And he made himself a hero amongst fans after scoring the winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final against City.

But Havertz, 24, has endured inconsistent form since, struggling to find his favoured role within the starting 11.
He ended last season as Chelsea’s joint top scorer with Raheem Sterling, 28, managing just nine in all competitions.
The Blues have spent over £600MILLION under billionaire American owner Todd Boehly.
But it has left them needing to shift players to both ease space in the squad and balance the books.

Havertz is among those deemed surplus to requirements, with Mateo Kovacic, 29, also joining him out of the Stamford Bridge door.
Kovacic is on the verge of signing for Manchester City while N’Golo Kante, 32, has also left for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
Kalidou Koulibaly, 32, is also now with Al-Hilal and could soon be joined by goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, 31. More

PFA backs Man Utd star Marcus Rashford and slams crazy fixture list with player wellbeing fears growing

PLAYERS’ welfare is under serious threat from football’s “mad” calendar, union bosses fear.Prem clubs will play at least 64 summer friendlies in 15 countries over 26 days BEFORE the new season starts.
Marcus Rashford has voiced his concerns about the amount of fixtures players playCredit: Reuters

SunSport today reveals they will travel a staggering total of 170,758 miles — almost seven times round the planet.
Manchester United’s England striker Marcus Rashford insists the number of games in a season is already too high.
And PFA chief executive Maheta Molango warned: “A properly co-ordinated approach to the football calendar is needed to address the growing  pressure being placed on players. They themselves are saying their wellbeing has to be prioritised.”
West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice played 61 times for club and country last season.

And Manchester City Treble-winner Jack Grealish was involved in 59 games.
Both players also featured in an extra three Nations League matches last June.
Three Lions team-mate Rashford spoke of his worries ahead of England’s latest Euro 2024 qualifiers.
He said: “It is mad that, at club level, we are  playing three games a week from November until we get knocked out of Europe.

“It is difficult but  I am not the one who has to have the answers.“In the early stages of my career I couldn’t make sense of it. Some managers have spoken out against it.
“If one team  plays 60 games a season and another  38, there has to be some time to recover for the team playing 20 more.”
United are scheduled to travel 15,531 miles for seven friendlies — in Oslo, Edinburgh, New York, San Diego, Houston, Las Vegas and Dublin — before their Prem opener against Wolves on August 14.
And Tottenham will fly a total of nearly 20,000 miles for friendlies in Perth, Bangkok and Singapore.
Molango, 40, is not only worried about the number of pre-season games and international matches but also new tournaments such as Fifa’s re-packaged 32-team Club World Cup, which will be staged in the United States in 2025.
He added: “Players’ schedules will become even further complicated by the expansion of both club and international calendars in the coming seasons.

“Space will need to be found alongside the long-distance pre-season tours clubs already take part in.
“A player-first approach is needed, one that acknowledges the need for a balanced and sustainable calendar.
“This is crucial for the overall health of the sport.” More

Premier League clubs flying miles for friendlies makes a mockery of bosses’ fixture moans and shows that cash is key

THE bleating about too many matches is one racing certainty for next season. But before Prem bosses start to moan, they maybe need to look at the real killer schedule they have ALREADY signed up to.

A whole host of Prem clubs are putting in the air miles this summer
Just the 64 matches, in 15 countries, in the space of 26 days.
Top-flight teams crisscrossing the world more than SIX times between them — and clocking up a staggering 170,000 air miles.
Before a serious ball has been kicked.
Players being run ragged? Too many matches? A danger to health?

    Absolutely . . . 100 per cent.
But the reality is that this season’s summer-friendly calendar shows, once again, that when it comes down to it, what really matters to club chiefs is cash.
The chance to sell the club name and — more importantly — the club shirts and other merchandise.
In the USA, yes. But also Asia and Australia, as well as the odd European jaunt.

Once you are in the Prem, promotion means getting out there to spread your commercial wings.
And if that means dragging your players halfway around the planet and back, for a series of dead-end games that mean nothing then so be it.
Of the 20 top-flight clubs returning to the training ground in preparation for the next ten months of an unrelenting slog, no fewer than 15 — three-quarters of them — have booked in for long-haul journeys.
Nobody will be flying further than  Tottenham, who start off with a day in the air to get to Perth in Western Australia where they come up against West Ham.
That is before a six-hour jaunt to Thailand, a hop to Singapore and then another 14 hours back to London.
Then again, given that Spurs have no European football to look forward to, it might be nice to get all that nonsense out of the way for the season before the real stuff actually starts.
But Tottenham’s near 20,000-mile journey is not that much of an outlier — and it should give new boss Ange Postecoglou plenty of time to get to know his players.
Between them, the Prem sides will be playing matches in Australia, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and the US.
Tottenham will be putting in the most air miles this summer

That is as well as the games closer to home in Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Norway, Holland, Scotland, Ireland and on English soil.
The busiest, unsurprisingly, will be Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag has agreed to a seven-match schedule in the space of 25 days, clocking up a mere 15,000 miles in the process.
United start by playing Leeds in Oslo, then go to Edinburgh before flying across the Atlantic to meet Arsenal in New York’s Red Bull Arena — likely venue for the 2026 World Cup final.
But that is just the start. United are taking a big enough squad to play twice in 24 hours, one side meeting Hollywood favourites
Wrexham in San Diego, California, with the other playing Real Madrid in the Texan city of Houston the next day.
They will then all meet up in Las Vegas — what goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas — before flying home and then popping over the Irish Sea to play Athletic Bilbao in Dublin.
For Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and  Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, the fixture programme is the one area where they occasionally see eye to eye.

But can they really complain when the Merseysiders happily signed up to go to Germany and then Singapore, while the champions head to Japan and South Korea ahead of their Community Shield Wembley date with Arsenal?
Six of the clubs are even playing in the Prem’s own “Summer Series”, with Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea, Fulham and Newcastle shuffling between five cities on the eastern seaboard of America.
Games at the homes of NFL teams Washington Commanders, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, as well as MLS side Orlando City’s Exploria Stadium, mean plenty of short flights.
And while teams will use coaches to travel between training bases and the grounds in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey, what about the whole green issue?

When it comes to carbon offsetting, the Prem clubs need to plant an entire forest. A very big one.Yet the wear and tear may be the bigger concern for the players.
It looks like an awful lot of travelling — and ensures that any managerial complaints will land on deaf ears. More

Everton star Amadou Onana linked with £50m transfer switch to Prem rivals who will play in Europe next season

DAVID MOYES is ready to raid old club Everton to sign Amadou Onana for West Ham at the second attempt.Hammers boss Moyes wants the powerful Belgian midfielder to replace Declan Rice and the Goodison Park club may be willing to sell for £40-£50million.

The Scot fancied Onana, 21, when he left Lille last summer — only to lose out to Everton who snapped him up for £30m.
He impressed early on at the Toffees but was less of a regular starter under Sean Dyche in the closing weeks of the season.
Moyes has funds to pay the fee and a big contract — yet will have to convince ambitious Onana it would be the right move for him.
Everton are already looking at bringing in a replacement for Onana and Blackburn’s rising star Adam Wharton is in their sights.
    Read more football news
Newcastle have made a move for the 19-year-old superkid but Toffees chiefs could rival them and offer him a better chance of playing regular Prem football.
Wharton is also happy to sign a new deal at Championship side Rovers and then look to move on in a year.
So Toffees chief Dyche would also have to sell the switch to him.
Arsenal were also reportedly interested in Onana in the past, failing with a £50million move in January.
