Off the field, Neville has also become a successful businessman, with a chain of hotels and townhouses.
He owns the Hotel Football overlooking Old Trafford, an apartment block in Manchester with Ryan Giggs and League Two side Salford City.
His £750-a-night Stock Exchange Hotel – also shared with Giggs – boasts of a luxury penthouse, roof terrace and kitchen run by Tom Kerridge.

Man City submit highest Declan Rice bid yet but Arsenal plan THIRD transfer offer as West Ham stick to £100m price

MANCHESTER CITY have submitted a formal £90million bid for Declan Rice to spark a bidding war with Arsenal. However, it is still £10m short of West Ham’s valuation.

The Etihad giants are huge admirers of the Hammers captain, 24, and keen to bolster their midfield following Ilkay Gundogan’s exit.
Arsenal saw two bids for Rice – the second for £75m plus £15m in add-ons – rejected last week.
But this evening City tabled their own opening offer while their rivals Arsenal are preparing a THIRD bid and remain hopeful of landing their No1 summer transfer target.
It is understood the Treble winners proposed a deal for an initial £80m with £10m in add-ons.

Kalvin Phillips could be added into subsequent City offers to try and tempt West Ham to do business, especially after the Hammers failed to sign Phillips from Leeds.
City had previously held off on making a bid because Rice would prefer to stay in London with his family and join Arsenal.
However, the Gunners had failed to make an offer West Ham were willing to accept.
City held off on making a move until they could get assurances from the 43-cap England ace.

But now Pep Guardiola’s side have pounced on their rivals’ hesitancy with the statement offer.
They hope the extra £5m upfront rather than in add-ons could tempt West Ham to sell.
However, the Hammers have continually wanted to hold out for £100m for their influential club captain, who has one year left on his current London Stadium contract – although there is an option for an extra 12 months.
Chairman David Sullivan admitted after the Europa Conference League win that the memorable final would likely have been Rice’s final game for the club because he “wanted to go”.
Rice was in Chelsea’s academy until he was released aged 14 and joined West Ham in 2014.
He broke through into the first team in 2017 and has gone on to make 245 appearances for the East Londoners.
The dramatic 2-1 win over Fiorentina in Prague, sealed by Jarrod Bowen’s late winner, secured the Hammers’ first European trophy for 58 years and etched skipper Rice’s name into the club’s history books forever.
But few could begrudge the talismanic figure from fulfilling his desire to compete for the top titles regularly, including the Premier League and Champions League.
And the latest development twist could nudge Guardiola into pole position to land him.
Fellow Arsenal target Moises Caicedo, meanwhile, has reportedly agreed personal terms with Chelsea.
The Blues, though, are yet to negotiate a transfer fee with Brighton for the Ecuador star.

Arsenal are also looking at Youssouf Fofana as well as closing in on Kai Havertz.

Chelsea ‘agree terms with Moises Caicedo with Blues’ summer transfer spree set to continue’

CHELSEA have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Moises Caicedo. The Blues are chasing after a new midfielder with Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic set to follow N’Golo Kante away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Moises Caicedo is expected to join Chelsea from Brighton this summerCredit: Getty
And Fabrizio Romano claims personal terms with Caicedo are all wrapped up.
However, the West Londoners still need to settle on a fee with Brighton, who are notoriously tough negotiators and will refuse to be bullied into selling their star asset.
The Seagulls – who received huge compensation when Graham Potter left for Chelsea last September – rejected a bid worth £75million from Arsenal in January for Caicedo.
And they are determined to hold out for around £80m to £100m for their influential midfielder.

It is reported an initial bid of £60m from Chelsea was snubbed earlier in June.
The 32-cap Ecuador international joined Brighton from Independiente del Valle in 2021 and went on loan to Beerschot in 2021-22.
But the 5ft 10ins star rose to prominence under Potter and Roberto De Zerbi last season, making 43 appearances for the south-coast club.
Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked with Caicedo this summer.

And it looked as though the Red Devils could be in pole position after an interview resurfaced from 2020 in which the midfielder confirmed it was a “dream to play for Manchester United” and follow in the footsteps of compatriot Antonio Valencia.
Now, though, it looks as though Chelsea could come out on top in the race – while Brighton eye a shock swoop for Muhammed Kudus.
Caicedo would fill the gaps created by Kante’s departure, five months after Jorginho joined Arsenal.
And he could be paired up with £106m record-signing Enzo Fernandez under new boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Chelsea have already signed Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig this month in a £52m deal.
They also secured deals with youngsters Dujuan Richards and Kendry Paez, although both players must wait until they turn 18 to move to England and link up with the Blues.
Villarreal ace Nicholas Jackson could also be on his way to Stamford Bridge after reportedly triggering the Senegalese forward’s £30m release clause. More

Incredible Scott Carson record convinced Man City stars they ‘couldn’t lose’ Champions League final, jokes Gundogan

ILKAY GUNDOGAN knew Manchester City “couldn’t lose” the Champions League because of… Scott Carson.Gundogan, who just left the Premier League winners for Barcelona as a free agent, captained City to a stunning Treble triumph last season.

The midfielder shone bright in the final when the Citizens beat Inter Milan 1-0 at Istanbul’s Ataturk Stadium.
That was the same venue for Liverpool’s 2005 comeback win over AC Milan, where Pep Guardiola’s reserve keeper Carson was a sub.
And Gundogan, whose grandfather was from Turkey, said: “I couldn’t have dreamed of a better ending than having the final in Istanbul.
“When we got on the bus over to the hotel, I was sitting near Scott Carson.

“He said, ‘Every time I come to Istanbul, I leave with a Champions League trophy’. With Scott in the squad, we couldn’t lose!”
Gundogan arrived at the Etihad on crutches in 2016 but departed feeling like he is “flying in the clouds”.
The German — Guardiola’s first signing at City — admits telling his gaffer he was leaving is one of the hardest calls he has ever made.
Eyebrows were raised when Gundogan joined City from Borussia Dortmund for £20.4million when he was struggling with a dislocated knee.

Seven years, 304 appearances, 60 goals, five Prem titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups, one Champions League and “hundreds of unforgettable moments” later, the Treble-winning captain leaves a bona fide City legend.
Gundogan, 32, insists it was “Barcelona or nothing” after sealing his move, 16 days on from lifting the Champions League trophy.
And he said: “None of this would have been possible without Pep.
“There are times he is so demanding of how we play and so intense that it can be a bit difficult, mentally.
“But once everyone gets on the same page it almost feels effortless.

“One of the hardest calls I had to make was to Pep, telling him I was going to leave. All I could do was to say ‘thank you’.
“When I hurt my knee at the end of the season with Dortmund and I had to get surgery, I was so worried City would pull out of the deal.
“But Pep called me and said, ‘Don’t worry, it doesn’t change anything. We want you here. We will wait for you no matter how long it takes’.
“I can only imagine what the fans thought when this guy with the funny name arrived for a lot of money and he was limping around on crutches at the unveiling.
“Well, all I can say is . . . I came here limping on one foot but I leave like I am flying in the clouds.”
A midfielder of impeccable timing, Gundogan saved his best for when it mattered most. His two goals off the bench in May 2022 completed a dramatic final-day comeback against Aston Villa to pip Liverpool to the title.

And he scored six goals in his final seven games for City last term — including a double in the FA Cup final win over rivals Manchester United.
Even when they were eight points behind Arsenal in the title race, Gundogan “knew we would win the league”.
Since Gundogan’s Dortmund side lost to Bayern Munich in the 2013 final, the midfielder admits the Champions League had been his “obsession”.
He added: “It seriously haunted me for ten years. Every decision I made in my career since that has been about lifting that trophy. That’s why I came to City.”
Chelsea pipped City in the 2021 final before Gundogan was left sulking in his room after being benched in last year’s semi-final defeat to Real Madrid.
So what changed? For Gundogan, it was not all about the signing of goal machine Erling Haaland.
Speaking to the Players’ Tribune, he continued: “I really have to credit our wives and partners for bringing us a lot closer together this season.

“They organised barbecues in their group chat and it made a big difference.
