      ARSENAL wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri has signed a new contract at the Emirates.The Gunners have managed to extend the 16-year-old’s deal despite fierce interest from elsewhere.

      Nwaneri became the youngest player in Premier League history when he was brought on against Brentford aged just 15 years and 181 days.
      Manchester City and Chelsea are among the gaggle of clubs that have monitored the teenager’s progress.
      According to Fabrizio Romano, Nwaneri has penned a new deal at Arsenal following successful negotiations.
      The transfer expert claims that the midfielder has been handed the highest wages ever offered to a Gunners academy player.

      Premier League stars only become eligible for a professional contract when they turn 17.
      So Nwaneri will be on a scholarship deal until his birthday on March 21 next year.
      His first pro deal is then expected to run until June 2026.
      Nwaneri replaced Fabio Vieira in stoppage time during Arsenal’s 3-0 win at Brentford on September 18.

      Bellamy left City in 2011, one year before they went onto win the Premier League.
      He had playing stints with Cardiff and Liverpool before hanging up his boots in 2014.

      He is then expected to put his players through an intense two-week training camp ahead of their pre-season tour of the USA.
      The camp will likely include Pochettino’s brutal “Gacon test”, an exercise consisting of intermittent shuttle runs.
      His Spurs side were transformed using the test, ranking second in the Premier League for running four years in a row.
      Explaining the training drill in his book, Brave New World, he said: “To start with, the players have 45 seconds to cover 150 metres, with a 15 seconds rest.

      “In each subsequent 45-second rep, they have to run 6.25 metres further, with the intensity steadily increasing.”
      Pochettino’s methods may come as a shock to the Chelsea squad, as it did to Rickie Lambert at Southampton.
      The Saints players struggled to adapt to Pochettino’s sessions following his arrival in 2013, to the point where Lambert was asked to speak to the manager.
      He felt his conversation with the Argentinian had gone well after requesting Pochettino went easy on the players, only to later realise the opposite.

      Recalling what happened next, Lambert told talkSPORT: “I went out [of the office] and went back to the lads made up, thinking, ‘yep, just done it for you boys, next Monday gonna be sorted’.
      “So, I played the game, 90 minutes again, come in Monday, not only did we do 12, we did 24 runs – 24 runs and I just knew, I was running around laughing and almost crying and I knew what he was doing, he was breaking me and he did, he broke me.”
      Chelsea players can expect the same intensity in training before they jet off to the USA for five friendly matches, starting on July 20.
      The Blues will take on Wrexham, Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United, Fulham and Borussia Dortmund before returning to England. More

      Wilshere went on George Groves’ podcast and was asked by co-host Declan Taylor what past or present footballer he would want to face.
      And he said: “I’d like to do it with someone I know. You know Aaron Creswell? I played with him.

      Wilshere, 31, spent two years with Cresswell, 33, at West Ham.

      Following the news that a fee had been agreed, Chalobah tweeted a crying face emoji before quickly deleting his cryptic post.
      Just minutes later, though, he wrote: “My boy,” with a crying face emoji and a broken heart emoji.
      Although the meaning behind the post is unknown, the timing suggests it was in reference to Mount.

      Chalobah and Mount came through Chelsea’s academy together before starring in the first-team.
      Along with their 47 Chelsea appearances together, the pair also starred alongside each other in several England youth teams.

      The Red Devil’s had looked set to walk away from the deal when their £55million bid was rejected, only to later reopen talks.

      But he will continue his development in Germany with Leipzig, who have the winger for the next 12 months.
      Carvalho helped Fulham earn promotion from the Championship in 2021 but started only eight games for Liverpool last season.
      His loan comes as Liverpool close in on a deal to sign current Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai.
      The Hungary international looks set to become the second arrival at Anfield this summer following the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.

      Newcastle were also interested in Szoboszlai but have reportedly withdrawn from the race.
      That has opened the door for the Reds to complete a deal and the club are confident of securing his signing, report The Athletic.

      It is unclear whether that clause has expired and whether Liverpool and Leipzig have agreed a fee.
