      Newcastle ‘one of three clubs who can sign Kylian Mbappe’ as PSG star’s surprising first choice is revealed

      A FOOTBALL agent has claimed Newcastle are one of only three clubs who can afford to sign Kylian Mbappe.The French superstar looks set to leave PSG as he enters the final year on his current contract, believed to be worth around £893,000 a week.

      Mbappe, 24, admitted he has no desire to extend his deal and the French champions will not allow him to leave for free.
      So they are faced with trying to sell the World Cup winner, who could cost up to £170MILLION.
      It leaves only the richest of clubs in Europe able to buy Mbappe, according to agent Bruno Satin.
      Satin told L’Equipe: “It’s difficult to give a price for Mbappe.

      “A normal club, that is to say not a club-state, will not in my opinion pay £170m today.
      ‘In my opinion, only Manchester City, Newcastle and Real Madrid can pay today.
      “For me, the real price is between £85m and £130m, after which there can be bonuses to go up to £170m or almost.
      “If there are few suitors, it is not likely to increase its price.”

      Real Madrid in 2021 rejected an offer of £170m for Mbappe, who again had less than a year on his deal.
      Eventually, the forward agreed new terms with PSG but just two years on and he is ready to leave again.
      It leaves Real in pole position to finally get their man but the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United have also been linked.
      So too incredibly have Arsenal, who Independent say Mbappe would actually favour if he was to ever make a move to the Premier League.
      It is claimed the striker likes the evolution under Mikel Arteta and would enjoy the challenge of delivering the title to the club.
      But Arsenal – set to take their spending to £200m this window alone – would not be able to financially compete with their rivals.

      And a picture of Carlton with Mount and Pulisic – on trial with Chelsea at the time – went viral on social media.
      He told Kent Online: “I didn’t even remember Pulisic being at Chelsea at the time until I saw the picture.
       “Apparently, he was there on a 10-day trial and he obviously didn’t get signed at the time.”
      Carlton suffered heartbreak with Rice as teenagers when they were released by Chelsea.

      He said: “It was hard to take. It was heartbreaking.
      “For a week after I was really upset; I didn’t go back to school for the next couple of days because my head was all over the place.
      “But two or three days later my dad was receiving phone call after phone call from different clubs, like West Ham, Charlton, Millwall, Fulham, Birmingham, West Brom – a lot of clubs.”
      Carlton was signed by West Ham – alongside Rice – but he suffered setback again when he was not offered a professional contract.

      He did later join Football League side Colchester before eventually playing semi-pro for Herne Bay in the eighth tier.
      Carlton has not been left envious of his former team-mates but admitted it was difficult to watch their rise.

      “It’s not because of jealousy or anything like that – fair play to them for making it that far – but it could have been me and that’s why it’s so hard to watch.”

      Why major rule change will save English clubs a fortune in the transfer market and it’s already in force

      FA CHIEFS have confirmed a rule change that is set to save Premier League clubs a fortune in the transfer market.Until this summer, incoming players had to meet certain criteria in order to obtain a work permit.

      Factors considered included international caps, which league they were signing from, and how much they had played.
      Points were awarded for various factors, with players requiring 15 to be able to be registered to play.
      These rules always applied to players outside of Europe, while EU players were also subjected to them post-Brexit.
      In a landmark move for the English game, the Home Office have now approved a rule change that enables clubs to sign up to four players that do not meet the criteria.

      This will allow teams to recruit young talent from abroad before they fully establish themselves, saving themselves money on transfer fees in the process.
      The rule change came into effect on June 14, the day the summer transfer window opened.
      Chelsea’s young Brazilian Andrey Santos is an example of a player that previously could not be registered due to not meeting the criteria.
      The 19-year-old signed for £18million from Vasco da Gama in January, but had to be immediately loaned out.

      Santos would now be eligible to be registered as one of Chelsea’s four spots.
      Championship clubs will also be able to add four players that do not meet the old criteria.
      While those in Leagues One and Two will be able to register two apiece.
      Upon confirmation of the changes, FA chief executive Mark Bullingham said: “As English football’s governing body, we oversee the whole football ecosystem, and we wanted to create a new model which would meet the different objectives of our football stakeholders.
      “We worked closely with the clubs and the leagues, and have designed a progressive solution which will give clubs additional access to international talent and incentivise playing opportunities for English talent.”
      Emma Brooksbank, an expert in sports immigration law working at Freeths, believes the benefits for English football will be wide-ranging.
      “It means that clubs can now recruit young talent from smaller leagues around the world that would not previously have been eligible to play in England.”
      “Signing players at a younger age could actually mean lower transfer fees and thus more money to invest in the development of homegrown players as well as wider investment into local communities.” More

      Man Utd handed HUGE boost in Andre Onana transfer chase as Inter Milan line up first-choice replacement for keeper

      MANCHESTER UNITED have received a boost in their transfer pursuit of Andre Onana as Inter Milan look for a replacement, reports say. United have now made two bids for Inter’s No1 with the improved offer worth around £43million including add-ons.

      Facing the prospect of losing Onana, Inter have opened talks with Bayern Munich for Yann Sommer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
      Sommer signed for Bayern in as an emergency replacement for Manuel Neuer, who broke his foot on a skiing holiday a month earlier.
      The Swiss stopper made 25 appearances in the second half of the season and helped Bayern win the Bundeliga title.

      But with Neuer back training again ahead of the new season, Sommer faces an uncertain future in Munich.
      He joined the German giants for £8.3m from rivals Borussia Monchengladbach.

      United’s pursuit of Onana is set to rumble on with Inter holding out for a little more than £50m.

      But the Italians could reduce their asking price to £47m to get the deal done as they look to raise funds to sign Romelu Lukaku permanently.
