“When I signed for Liverpool, in my second year I spoke to my agent. Obviously as a Liverpool fan from a kid, it was a dream come true. But I had a conversation where I said, ‘I don’t know why I’m unhappy, I don’t understand it’.
“I’ve got everything I want, an amazing house, play for the club I’ve dreamed about as a little kid but I was depressed. Because I had so much hurt and trauma as a child that I never got over.
“It was causing me so much pain and when things weren’t going great on the pitch, I’d unleash it in any way possible.
“I’d want to go out, to be around people, I’d try anything as pain relief, to get drunk, binge drink, to numb the pain.” More

The wages will be partly paid for by third parties such as Apple, Adidas and the MLS.
But before Messi joins, the club have been forced to terminate the contract of one of their stars to make room for the World Cup winner.

Miami are currently rock bottom of the MLS table and sit 11 points off the league’s play-off places.
There is no relegation in the MLS so Messi will not have to worry about soon playing for a second tier side.
He is expected to make his debut for the club next week on July 21 when Miami play Mexican club Cruz Azul in the Leagues cup.
The Leagues cup sees the top MLS sides face off against their Mexican Liga MX counterparts.
There was speculation that Messi would play against Arsenal as part of the MLS all star team in a friendly on July 20.
However, MLS comissioner Don Garber confirmed that the two international picks in the all star side would be Kei Kamara and Mathieu Choiniere – therefore ruling Messi out of the game. More

However, this summer fans are more sure that they have been muddled up.
West Ham’s shirt for the upcoming season has been dubbed the ‘Anthem shirt’ as it pays tribute to the club’s iconic song I’m forever blowing bubbles as it has bubbles printed on it.
In a similar fashion Villa’s latest edition also has a subtle print of soundwaves taken from fans signing Allez, Allez, Allez.
While Burnley’s new shirt is inspired by the club’s home shirt worn for the 1994 season.

There is one overlap as Burnley’s new shirt is sponsored by W88, a recent sponsor of Villa to add to the confusion.
All three feature a main claret body and blue sleeves, but fans are sure there the kits are more typical of the other clubs.
One fan Tweeted: “I know there’s a big overlap between Villa/West Ham/Burnley but this is quite simply a Burnley shirt and I won’t hear any different.”
A Burnley supporter commented: “Loads of our fans saying ours is a Villa shirt this season.”

Another wrote: “Villa’s shirt this season is a Burnley shirt and Burnley’s shirt is a Villa shirt.”
A fourth said: “Burnley one is literally West Ham’s with a collar on it.”
While a fifth added: “Further to this – amazingly, we find ourselves in a situation where West Ham have an Aston Villa kit, Aston Villa have a Burnley kit and Burnley have a West Ham kit.”
A sixth pointed out: “Burnley’s is a West Ham kit with Villa’s sponsor from a few years back.”
West Ham used to play in navy but adopted the claret and blue colours in 1899 as one story claims that right back Charlie Dove received the Villa kit from his father, William.
William Dove was a national sprinter and challengers four Villa players to a race for a bet while in Birmingham.
After he beat the footballers they were unable to pay and one of the players offered a complete team kit to Dove as payment.
Despite the similarities between the three current kits there is a bi difference in prices.
West Ham’s home shirt is the most expensive at £75, Aston Villa’s is priced at £70 while Burnley’s is the cheapest at £55. More
