      2023/24 promises to be the most captivating season of Dream Team in years.The Sun’s much-loved fantasy game has been revamped for maximum satisfaction and the most exciting new feature is the introduction of Boosters.
      The special effect of the three Boosters, which can only be played once each per season, will last for the duration of one Gameweek and, if played wisely, will provide BIG points and may even change the outlook of your entire season.
      Here’s what each Booster does and when might be the optimal time to activate them.

      Park the Bus: Every defender in your team earns double points
      This Booster has a very high ceiling as clean sheets across the board (plus some goal involvements and bonus points) would result in massive returns. 
      However, there’s a risk it could backfire if you play it at the wrong time as minus points (incurred for goals conceded, bookings, missed penalties, own goals) will also be doubled. 
      Switching to a formation with five at the back seems like a wise thing to do prior to activating the Park the Bus Booster and it may be worth block-picking defenders from the same club to target a favourable double Gameweek.

      12th Man: Select an additional player on top of your regular XI

      Fans are often described as the “12th man” but we’ve gone for a far more literal approach.
      For one Gameweek only, you will be able to select an additional player (from any position) to score points for your team.
      The 12th man is temporarily recruited for free so you don’t have to worry about budgetary constraints. 
      Picture this, you’ve been trying to figure out a way to get Phil Foden in your team but for one reason or another you haven’t managed it.
      A glance at the fixture list reveals that the England international has two favourable match-ups next and it seems likely he’ll start both games.
      Play your 12th Man Booster to scoop up the Manchester City starlet’s returns at the opportune time without compromising the essence of your team.
      (Please note that you will not be able to captain your 12th man.)

      Max Captain: Player who scores the most points automatically selected as captain
      This Booster offers peace of mind for one Gameweek at least.
      Say you’ve got three or four strong candidates for the captain’s armband and can’t decide between them.
      Activate the Max Captain Booster and whichever one of your players scores the most points will ultimately be selected as captain, therefore doubling their points for the Gameweek. 
      When Max Captain is activated, the armband will automatically be assigned to whichever one of your players has the highest current Gameweek score.
      It’s likely the armband will be assigned to several players over the course of the Gameweek but rest assured your best performer will have their points doubled once the last relevant fixture is complete.

      The Gunners were runners-up in the Premier League last season after missing out on the title to Manchester City.
      Arsenal have announced their signings of Declan Rice, Jurrien Timer and Kai Havertz so far this summer.
      Havertz has already made his debut for the club after playing in his home country, Germany, last Thursday against FC Nurnberg.
      New Inter Miami star Lionel Messi will not be playing as he is yet to make his MLS debut and, therefore, was not included in the MLS All-Stars selection process.

      The game will be held at 8:30pm local time (ET) on Wednesday, 19 July.
      This means kick-off will be at 1:30am BST on Thursday 20 July, in the UK.
      Audi Field, Washington DC, will host.

      The match will be shown live on Apple TV, where fans can sign up for a FREE seven-day trial or pay £6.99 ($6.99 in the USA) for a monthly subscription.

      With a busy transfer window ahead, Postecoglou appears to have revealed his possible tactics for Spurs’ Premier League opener against Brentford.
      According to The Spurs Watch, the 57-year-old arranged his squad into two line ups for a training friendly.
      His first line up sees £16million signing Guglielmo Vicario line up between the sticks, with last season regulars Pedro Porro and Cristian Romero also in the back line.
      Surprisingly, Japhet Tanganga also lined up at centre back, while forgotten Spurs star Sergio Reguilon, 26, was named at left-back after completing a loan with Atletico Madrid.

      Fellow forgotten star Tanguy Ndombele, 26, was also named in midfield after returning from his loan spell at Napoli.
      Yves Bissouma and new boy James Maddison were named in midfield alongside the Frenchman.

      Meanwhile, Bayern Munich-linked Harry Kane was also named at the tip of the attack.

      Last season, Erling Haaland (£8.5m) swaggered into the prison yard, challenged the alpha male, and took him down.
      That’s not to say Tottenham’s all-time top scorer didn’t mount an admirable defence of his crown, he scored 30 league goals to equal his best every tally for a top-flight campaign, but Manchester City’s No9 broke the record for most goals in a Premier League season as he plundered 36 from 35 appearances.
      The gap between the two goalscorers was accentuated further in the Dream Team rankings where Haaland’s goals in other competitions contributed to his mountainous points tally of 431.
      In comparison, Kane’s final total of 289 points almost looks modest, which is ridiculous because he was the third-top scorer in 2022/23.
      For seasons on end, the Spurs hero was the go-to choice for Dream Team gaffers in need of an out-and-out striker of the highest calibre but Haaland’s presence means it will be intriguing to see how Dream Team bosses view him as the new season approaches.

      Generally speaking, a player’s viability is linked to their team’s prospects but Kane defied Spurs’ general malaise last term to deliver another quality individual campaign.
      However, the 29-year-old will want more assistance from his team-mates this coming season, particularly long-time partner Son Heung-min (£5m), who has looked out of sorts for a while now.

      The appointment of Ange Postecoglou has given the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful reason to be optimistic going forward.
      More than anything it feels as if the fans just want an alternative approach after a few seasons of turgid pragmatism that, even when moderately successful in terms of results, failed to provide much entertainment.
      The Australian gaffer is expected to employ tactics that are more enterprising and less risk-averse which, theoretically, should suit a striker with 213 Premier League goals to his name.

      This season, Dream Team gaffers will have two transfers available per Gameweek so it would be easy enough to recruit Kane swiftly if Spurs start the campaign with a new free-flowing attacking verve.
      Postecoglou’s first Premier League games in charge come against Brentford, Manchester United, Bournemouth, Burnley and Sheffield United – a relatively friendly set all things considered.
      Haaland’s supremacy means Dream Team managers will have to think carefully about what to do with Kane as pairing them would cost £15.5m and while the potential rewards are bountiful, such an investment would requite serious concessions in other positions.
      Of course, this dilemma goes away if Spurs sell Kane this summer…
