Greenwood and partner Harriet Robson were seen in Greater Manchester this week, while his team-mates were taking part in a US tour
The star was seen training with his father last month
Old Trafford bosses are set to decide “in weeks” on the future of the England striker after charges including attempted rape were dropped.
The player is already back training with Man United’s blessing.
Old Trafford staff are overseeing the England ace’s regime and he has spoken more than once with boss Erik ten Hag.
Hopes of a playing return, after charges against him including attempted rape were dropped, have been raised by the talks.

An assurance from Adidas is likely to see other sponsors follow suit.
The new season starts on August 12 and The Sun understands most team-mates would welcome him back if the club agrees.
A source said: “The initial signals from Adidas are positive. Without their blessing it would be hard to see a way back. But they have communicated his return would not necessarily be an insurmountable obstacle.
“They have certainly given the impression they would not be fiercely opposed to it.”

United and Adidas signed a ten-year deal, said to be worth £750million, in 2015.
Recently Greenwood, 21, and partner Harriet Robson welcomed a baby girl.
This week they were seen in Hale, Gtr Manchester.
He has been suspended on full pay — said to be £75,000-a-week — since January 2022, and lost a lucrative deal with Nike.
It followed his arrest for attempted rape, assault and controlling behaviour.
Greenwood was charged in October. Prosecutors dropped the charges in February.
The source added: “No decision has been made yet but every option is being explored. It’s an unpredictable situation and public opinion will play a part.
“It won’t be easy if he does return but sponsors won’t necessarily walk out of the door overnight.
“He trains alone but the club is keeping in touch. He wants to stay.”
In February it was reported that United women’s team do not want him back, a view echoed by Natalie Burrell, founder of United Women’s Supporters’ Club.
Last night Adidas said of a return of Greenwood: “That’s a question for the club. As sponsors we have no influence over team line-ups.”

It is claimed Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe are flying to London.
They were expected to arrive on Friday but their journey has been pushed back till Monday.
It is added that Bayern have an ace up their sleeve in the form of 18-year-old attacking starlet Tel.
It is believed Spurs have made enquiries for the playmaker over the summer, something the Bundesliga kings could lean on.

Tel – who has been compared to Kylian Mbappe – has six goals in his 28 Bayern games.
But it remains to be seen whether he fits in Thomas Tuchel’s plans going forward.
Tuchel recently said of Tel’s future: “We will definitely discuss that – if something changes – very late in the transfer window.”
Kane has been part of Tottenham’s pre-season tour but he is believed to be open to a move to Bayern.

PSG have also been linked with the England captain but he does not want a move to France.
Bayern are thought to be willing to pay up to £86m for Kane, who has only a year left on his current Spurs deal.
But they could also wait until January in an attempt to try get the forward in a cut-price deal.

The Blues have now had three offers turned down and it remains unclear whether they will go in for the midfielder again.
Chelsea have long been interested in Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, as are Liverpool.
But according to Fabrizio Romano, the West Londoners are not yet ready to walk away from the deal.
Brighton’s owner Tony Bloom and manager Roberto De Zerbi want to keep Caicedo.
    READ MORE ON CHELSEA
It comes after they lost World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister, who joined Liverpool for £35m in June.
But there was a release clause in Mac Allister’s contract that limited Brighton’s negotiating power.
The Times say Caicedo and his reps will look to handle the matter sensitively in respect for Brighton and after he publicly plead to leave in January.
Arsenal had bids of £60m and £70m rejected and subsequently they would sign Jorginho from Chelsea instead.

Caicedo did play in Brighton’s pre-season friendly with Brentford on Wednesday night in Atlanta and he is expected to feature against Newcastle on Friday.
De Zerbi admitted Caicedo will have to be replaced if he is sold ahead of their first Premier League game of the season against Luton Town in two weeks.
He said: “If you asked me what I would like, I would like him to stay with us but it is not my work.
“My work is to tell my owner that if Caicedo leaves we need another big, important midfielder.”

Chelsea handed huge Uefa fine for FFP breaches and ‘potentially incomplete financial reporting’ under Abramovich

CHELSEA have been hit with an £8.6million fine for Financial Fair Play breaches stretching back to the Roman Abramovich era.A Uefa probe into the club’s finances was opened after the Stamford Bridge outfit’s new owners, led by Todd Boehly, reported the issues last summer.

In a statement, Uefa said: “Following the club’s sale in May 2022, the new ownership identified, and proactively reported to Uefa, instances of potentially incomplete financial reporting under the club’s previous ownership.
“The reported matters related to historical transactions which took place between 2012 and 2019.”

While the precise nature of the infractions is not clear, it is understood that a number of relatively minor historical elements emerged during the sale process.
While there is believed to have been no deliberate attempts to circumvent the rules, the breaches were discovered.

With Uefa having a three-year statute of limitations over FFP breaches, Chelsea only faced punishment for the rule-breaking in the 2018-2019 season.
Meanwhile, Italian giants Juventus have, as expected, been banned from this season’s Europa Conference League.
That is due to a “capital gains” transfer scam that saw them deducted 10 Serie A points to finish seventh.
Juve were also fined £17.2m, half of which was suspended if they comply with Uefa financial rules up until the end of the 2024-25 season.

The Bianconeri’s European ban will last for a year and the club has confirmed there will be no appeal.
Juventus president Gianluca Ferrero said: “We regret the decision of the Uefa Club Financial Control Body.
“We do not share the interpretation that has been given of our defense, and we remain firmly convinced of the legitimacy of our actions and the validity of our arguments.
“However, we have decided not to appeal this judgment. This decision is in line with the one taken last May in the context of the disputes with the FIGC.
“As in that case, we prefer to put an end to the period of uncertainty and ensure full visibility and certainty to our internal and external stakeholders about the club’s participation in future international competitions.
“Lodging an appeal, possibly to other levels of judgement, with uncertain outcomes and timing, would increase the uncertainty with respect to our eventual participation in the 2024-25 Champions League.
“Instead, we want the first team, our fans, our sponsors, suppliers and financial partners to be able to experience the 2023-24 season with the utmost serenity and certainty with respect to the results achievable on the pitch, especially after the turbulent past season.” More

But the centre-back was in no hurry to get the deal over the line as ITV’s hit reality show took priority.
Club doctor Jonathan Tobin tweeted: “The only pre-signing medical I’ve ever done that had to be delayed because the signee insisted on watching Love Island.
“Not even joking. Tics, I give you Kell Watts. Some fella.”

Manager Shaun Maloney added: “I’m really happy that we’ve managed to secure Kell’s return.
“A left-sided centre-back is a difficult profile to get, so he’s a really positive signing for us.

Removal of Star Man awards from Dream Team WON’T hinder Bruno Fernandes – he might be even better this season!

IT’S an understatement to say Bruno Fernandes (£6.5m) wouldn’t win a popularity contest among football fans.Manchester United’s new club captain finds it difficult to temper his competitive urges on the pitch and, consequently, he’s prone to a moan as well as full-blown strops.
His petulant nature asks Dream Team managers a question that has endured ever since the inception of The Sun’s beloved fantasy game: Are you able to discard your personal feelings for the good of your team?

For all his on-pitch villainy, there can be no doubt that Fernandes has been a top-tier Dream Team asset since his arrival at Old Trafford in January 2020.
Eight goals and seven assists in his first 14 Premier League games after his mid-season transfer proved to be a taste of things to come.
The Portugal international plundered 28 goals and 17 assists in all competitions the following campaign with his Dream Team ownership surpassing 75% at one stage, deservedly so.
Granted, Fernandes benefited from a plethora of penalties that season but his stats were phenomenal even with spot-kicks discarded – 32 non-penalty goal involvements is outstanding for a midfielder.
2021/22 was something of a fallow season by Fernandes’ standards but it’s a measure of the standards he’s set for himself that a campaign in which he scored ten league goals was deemed well below par.
Last term, he rediscovered his best form, particularly from the World Cup onwards, to register 283 Dream Team points, the highest tally among assets in his position.
Fernandes returned from the World Cup in sublime formCredit: GETTY
The 28-year-old scored 14 goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions to pip Kevin De Bruyne (£7m) at the top of the midfield rankings, which is a serious achievement in its own right given the Belgian’s significant contribution to Manchester City’s treble.
Additionally, Fernandes earned 12 Star Man awards in 2022/23, more than any other player, but with that aspect of the game having been removed for this coming season, will he be as successful?
While Star Man awards are now a thing of the past, players will continue to reap rewards for individual brilliance and Fernandes’ lofty ranking in several key attacking stats should serve him well.
In 2023/24, players will receive one point for every big chance created (as defined by OPTA) and guess who topped this metric in the Premier League last season with 32… yep, our man of the hour.
Furthermore, Dream Team assets will earn one point for every shot on target and no midfielder registered more than Fernandes in the top flight last term.
Dream Team’s two best midfielders in 2022/23Credit: GETTY
Star Man awards may be a thing of the past but the statistical factors that earned Fernandes a dozen of them remain a huge factor in how points are scored.
In fact, if the new scoring system had been implemented last season, he would have finished on 346 points and his lead over De Bruyne would have been even greater.
At £6.5m Fernandes is a costly asset, only four players will start the campaign at a higher price, but if he carries on where he left off before the summer break then he should be a worthy investment.
Saying that, it will be interesting to see whether Mason Mount’s (£3.5m) switch to Man United has an impact on Fernandes’ returns.
One of reasons the latter has amassed so many points in recent years is because he’s often been a one-man army in terms of midfield creativity and attacking threat but the 24-year-old England international has been signed to share those burdens.
Fernandes features in 26.6% of teams created at the time of writing.
