He scored ten goals and registered one assist in 33 league appearances last season.
It’s been a rags to riches story for the Portuguese striker, who told DAZN last summer that he was forced to work a second job while playing for amateur Lisbon side Tires in 2018.
He said: “I was training with Tires and working in Portugal, it was a nice life. I was working at KFC. It was good.”
Beto began his ascent to the Premier League by leaving Tires to join third division Portuguese side Clube Olimpico Monjito.

It was at Monjito that he was noticed by Liga NOS side Portimonense and after just a year of playing in the third tier found himself playing in Portugal’s highest division.
Asked by DAZN how he feels walking past a KFC now he is a fully-fledged pro, he said: “Nothing special, but when I return home, I always go to that KFC to visit my friends.
“I’ve always believed I could have become a footballer. I wanted to become a professional football player.
“My team-mates didn’t believe it, maybe just two of them. They were telling me: ‘Beto, it’s hard, it’s impossible.’ Then I joined Portimonense and they changed their mind.”

Beto will join Portuguese compatriot and fellow striker Youssef Chermiti at Everton, who signed for £12m from Sporting earlier this month.
Toffees boss Sean Dyche was desperate to reinforce his forward line this summer after his strikers proved particularly blunt in front of goal last season.
Neal Maupay managed just one goal in 27 appearances and an injury hit Dominic Calvert Lewin scored just two goals in his 17 outings.
Calvert Lewin’s injury woe continued when he suffered a horror eye injury against Aston Villa in Everton’s second game.
Everton are yet to score a goal this season, so Toffees fans will be desperate for Beto to make an instant impact. More

Tottenham ‘desperately looking to offload FIVE flops including Eric Dier before this week’s transfer deadline’

TOTTENHAM are desperately looking to offload FIVE players before Friday’s 11pm transfer deadline. Eric Dier, Sergio Reguilon, Davinson Sanchez, Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele could all be shown the exit door by the end of the week, report the Daily Mail.

England defender Dier has reportedly told the club he wants to see out his contract which ends next year and leave as a free agent.
Dier joined Spurs back in 2014 from Sporting for £4million and has made a staggering 270 appearances for the club.
However, the 29-year-old has since fallen down the pecking order under Agne Postecoglou due to the arrival of Micky van der Ven.
The Dutchman, 22, joined the Lilywhites from Wolfsburg in a £43m deal and has signed a six-year deal.

Premier League rivals Fulham have made an enquiry for Dier ahead of Friday’s deadline.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-German are creeping up again to reignite their interest in midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
This is the third transfer window the French champions have asked about the 26-year-old as they consider another attempt to snatch the former French international.
Club-record signing Ndombele has had loan spells at Lyon and Napoli while being at Spurs.

Ange Postecoglou says he only picks ‘winners’ when asked if Richarlison will play in Carabao Cup to break goal-drought

ANGE POSTECOGLOU will only pick Richarlison at Fulham on Tuesday for the right reasons — not just  to give his goal-shy ace a pick-me-up.The straight-talking Aussie says he only selects “winners” for  Tottenham and is not one for sentimental decisions.
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou won’t start Richarlison just to help him scoreCredit: Reuters
Postecoglou hauled Richarlison off an hour into Spurs’ 2-0 win at Bournemouth on Saturday after he missed two sitters.
And asked if he would start the 26-year-old in the upcoming Carabao Cup tie to help him bag his first goal of the season, Postecoglou replied: “No, I pick teams I think will win games.
“I am not going to put him in to try and help him in some individual  pursuit.
“I will put Richy in the team if I think we can win with him in, not because I am trying to get him into a certain space.”

Spurs face a Fulham side bossed by Marco Silva, the man who gave  Richarlison his big break in English football by signing him when he was Watford manager back in 2017.
Despite his tough start to the season,  Silva says the forward has what it takes to replace Harry Kane.
Richarlison has played more games under Silva — who also signed him from the Hornets  for £40million when he became Everton chief — than any other boss, scoring 26 goals in 82 matches for the Portuguese tactician.
Silva said: “Richarlison is a very good player but it is going to be tough for him.

“To be at Tottenham and No 9 for his national team, I know he has the talent to get to that level.”
Postecoglou says he has not had much luck in Cup draws but is looking  forward to travelling across London.
He said: “I love winning. I don’t care what it is. I love winning and the players know that.
“I don’t care if it is a cup, playing in the car park or on a rooftop.

Chelsea ‘agree deal’ to send Romelu Lukaku to Roma for third spell under Jose and insert shock clause into his contract

ROMELU LUKAKU is heading back to Italy for another reunion with Jose Mourinho at Roma after Chelsea finally agreed a new loan for their outcast striker. The Serie A side are taking the big Belgian on a season-long loan and paying £8million following a breakthrough in talks on Monday.

Former Chelsea and Manchester United boss Mourinho managed Lukaku for a year and a half at Old Trafford between the summer of 2017 and December 2018.
The Portuguese tactician also coached the centre-forward at Stamford Bridge for a brief period in 2013.
There are still minor details that need to be sorted out but Lukaku will take a substantial pay cut on his £325,000 a week wages and Roma will cover the rest.
The Telegraph has also reported that as well as a reduction in wages, Chelsea have inserted a £37m release clause into Lukaku’s contract.

It will save Chelsea around £16m this season in wages but there is no obligation from Roma to buy next June when the loan expires.
Lukaku has been in football exile since returning from loan with Roma’s rivals Inter Milan at the end of last season.
He was banished from training with the senior squad and instead trained with the Under-21s.
New manager Mauricio Pochettino was also forbidden to pick the unsettled star while the wrangling went on to find a compromise.

Pochettino and new chairman Todd Boehly inherited the stand-off between the player and club.
Lukaku, 30, became frustrated under former Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel over tactics and was reprimanded for giving an unauthorised TV interview and then had to make a public apology.
He was eventually packed off to Inter last season and helped them reach the Champions League Final.
Chelsea were adamant that they would only do a permanent deal to sell Lukaku this summer but have been forced to backtrack.
They were keen to sell him to the Saudi Pro-League but feelings inside Stamford Bridge are that this window closed when Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic got in first and made a move to the Middle East ten days ago, leaving Boehly with fewer options.
Lukaku cost Chelsea a then club record £97.5 million when they signed him from Inter two years ago.
He scored 15 goals in his first season back but was still unhappy under German Tuchel and also suffered a string of injuries. More

MARK HALSEY: Van Dijk should get FOUR-MATCH ban for red card and X-rated rant – he’s setting wrong example as captain

FOOTBALL must not tolerate any more abuse of match officials. So the Football Association has to clamp down and punish Virgil Van Dijk for his unacceptable behaviour at Newcastle on Sunday.
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk deserves a heavier punishment, claims Mark HalseyCredit: EPA
The new Liverpool captain fell well below the standards set by one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.
I know Van Dijk’s only been captain for three games since Jordan Henderson moved to Saudi Arabia but if I was Jurgen Klopp I would already be thinking, “Is Virgil setting the right example?”
Van Dijk’s abusive actions at St James’ Park also have an impact on the wider footballing world.
The Dutch defender was correctly sent off by referee John Brooks for the denial of an obvious goalscoring opportunity on Alexander Isak.
    Read More on Football
Van Dijk refused to accept the decision and took a total of two minutes 28 seconds to get down the tunnel from the moment he was dismissed.
That attitude and conduct is simply not good enough from the new Anfield skipper.
The Dutchman let himself down and his verbal outburst towards Brooks and then fourth official Craig Pawson was not befitting of his role.
Brooks made the right call but the Liverpool defender still branded the decision a ‘f****** joke’.
    Most read in Football
Van Dijk swore, gestured and constantly questioned Brooks following the red card.
VAR confirmed that Brooks was spot on but that still wasn’t good enough for the centre-back. What on earth did he think was going to change?
It took another 63 seconds for Van Dijk to leave the field of play and, even when he managed that, he got involved in a confrontation with Pawson on the touchline.
He has sent a poor message to his team-mates and fans, including children, watching the Premier League around the world.

It was a bad image. And no wonder we have so many problems with officials trying to manage games at grassroots level.
I’ve criticised Klopp for his abusive behaviour towards officials in the past.
But, on this occasion, fair play to the Liverpool manager because he intervened as a peacemaker between Van Dijk and Pawson before pushing his own player towards the steps leading to the tunnel.
Van Dijk will rightly receive a one-match ban for the straight red card but I believe his suspension should be increased.
Of course, this will depend on Brooks’ official report but the abusive and insulting language used by the new Reds leader could be worthy of another RED CARD and result in an additional three-match ban.
That would rule out Van Dijk for four matches in total – a fitting punishment for his poor conduct.
Halsey insists Van Dijk has set the wrong example with the way he treated refereesCredit: Rex
Refs chief Howard Webb went around all of the clubs during the close season in a bid to improve the standards of behaviour towards officials.
But clearly some players, including Van Dijk, didn’t bother to listen.
Van Dijk’s dismissal was the first major test of the new FA rules in their quest to stamp out abuse by players and managers towards officials this season.
And if we go off this evidence then it isn’t working.
We need to clean up the game and improve its image and the onus is on the players and clubs to achieve that.
Halsey insists Van Dijk deserves a four-match ban after his protests at NewcastleCredit: Rex
We don’t want to see further ugly incidents such as Aleksandar Mitrovic pushing Chris Kavanagh like we did at Old Trafford last term.
But, while Van Dijk did not physically touch any official, his abusive attitude and behaviour wasn’t much different so the authorities must lay down the law to make their campaign work.
    It’s not all players though.
I point to another Prem captain – Nottingham Forest’s Joe Worrall – who was also sent off at Manchester United on Saturday.
Worrall was dismissed by ref Stuart Attwell and did not show any dissent.
He waited for VAR Rob Jones to confirm the call and then the defender respectfully walked off the Old Trafford pitch.
This is what we want to see in the game – players respecting the officials’ decision.
    Read More on The Sun
I actually believe Worrall had a bigger cause for complaint than Van Dijk for his call to be overturned because there were elements of doubt over his red card.
But Worrall set the right example – one that Van Dijk should learn from. More
