Neville was left fuming with the Red Devils’ unpopular owners and urged them to resolve this “toxic” situation.
However, the Sky Sports pundit doesn’t believe the takeover saga is over just yet as the “desperate” Americans have “run out of money” and need investment in.
Neville tweeted: “Morning and it’s Arsenal v United for me today on @SkySports. Join us if you like.
“P.S. I don’t believe the Glazers not selling/doing anything story. They have to do something.

“They’ve run out of money and the financial situation is desperate. They need investment in.
“They’re also having a toxic impact on the club from the inside out. The negligence continues for now but I don’t think it can go on without some action on raising funds.
“Also who would come in as a minority alongside them with the damage it would do to their reputation.”
Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe posed as the likeliest candidates to take over United.

Sheikh Jassim appeared to hold the advantage as he bid £6billion for a full takeover, compared to Ratcliffe’s offer for majority ownership that would see the Glazers retaining a minority stake.
SunSport reported how Jassim was close to finalising a deal – with Neville’s comments backing that up.
But it’s now claimed that the Manchester giants’ owners actually want closer to £10bn to sell.
The same source alleges that the American chiefs will try and sell the club again in 2025.
It’s believed they think the financial environment in two years time will attract more bidders, especially from the US due to the 2026 World Cup that will be staged in America, Mexico and Canada.
This comes after the most recent set of financial figures showed United’s gross debt stood at a staggering £725million in the quarter ending in June. More

Awkward moment Theo Walcott gets caught between Roy Keane and Micah Richards as pundits have heated argument

And as he moves into the world of punditry, the ex-Arsenal forward lined up alongside Sky Sports’ Keane, 52, and Richards, 35, at the Emirates ahead of the Gunners’ blockbuster clash with Man Utd.
One of the talking points on Sky Sports’ coverage was Arsenal’s decision to bring Spanish shot-stopper David Raya in as competition for No1 Aaron Ramsdale.
Keane felt it was a good move, saying: “I find it strange with goalkeepers – and it seems to be a lot of ex-players, ex-goalkeepers particularly in the media – saying ‘It’s not right you’re undermining the goalkeeper’.
“You need competition at your club. If every player had that mindset – ‘Oh if somebody’s going to come in to challenge me’ – that’s what you want at your club.

“So these goalkeepers that are upset about another good goalkeeper coming to your club, what are they talking about?”
But Richards immediately countered that point as he doubted the idea of having two keepers vying for the starting spot.
The ex-Man City defender replied: “But how are you suppose to keep the consistency if you’re a centre-back and your keeper keeps changing?”
Keane responded: “You don’t have to keep changing but your competition comes from within. It’s like when I was a midfielder, did I not like Man Utd signing other midfielders? Veron?”

Before Richards added: “But you can play three in midfield. You can’t play three goalkeepers, can you?”
As the pair bickered, Walcott then hilariously chimed in by asking host Dave Jones: “Is this why I’m stood in the middle in between these two, yeah?”
Richards and Keane then continued their debate as Walcott smiled in amusement.
The former England man announced his retirement last month after ending his second spell with boyhood club Southampton.
He said: “I had some offers abroad, and at some very good Championship teams.
“There’s been some Saudi offers, but that’s not where I want to see myself playing.
“Nothing against the money or the league – I justfeel like right now if my heart’s not into playing football, then it’s not fair on the clubs and not fair on me.
“I would like to [go into media], we’ll see. I do enjoy that side of it, I enjoy analysing the games, analysing the teams, and as well, I have a different insight into the generations, I’ve played inyour generation as well, which is slightly older than myself.” More

To which Keane replied with a blunt: “No. Not really.”
He then expanded on his outlook by saying: “Obviously they’ve strengthened the squad, they were brilliant last season, particularly at the start of the season.
“But we were here towards the end of the last season where they ran out of steam physically and mentally and I still think they’re short.”
He then went on to praise the strength of Manchester City, saying they “really are so good” and claimed the rest of the league are playing “catch up” to reach their level.

Keane then went on to say there were still “huge question marks” surrounding Arsenal’s title challenge this season before laying into Mikel Arteta’s comments yesterday that he used 43 formations against City and 36 against Fulham.
Keane said: “I didn’t know there were that many formations you could play in football but there you go.
“Sometimes you need to simplify football because they have a lot of good players, they had a lot of good momentum last year but they did come up short.”
After the footage was clipped up and put on social media by Sky Sports, fans were quick to give a response to Keane’s scathing assessment.

One fan said: “No one is convinced yet. I was convinced last season and the last games were disasters.”
Another Arsenal fan wrote: “What were you hoping to hear from Keane? Yes the team has not been convincing because of the Arteta experiments. Give it time.”
A Manchester United fan agreed with Keane, saying: “I agree, I still don’t think they’ve got enough, especially this season playing two games a week.”
Arsenal’s credentials will be tested in today’s clash with Manchester United with it representing the first time they have faced a top six side this season. More

Thiago Silva hits back at criticism from Chelsea fan on Instagram after calls for him to be AXED by Mauricio Pochettino

THIAGO SILVA hit back at criticism from a Chelsea fan on social media amid calls for him to be dropped following the Blues’ defeat to Nottingham Forest.Mauricio Pochettino’s men suffered a 1-0 loss to Steve Cooper’s side at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

It leaves his side with just four points from their opening four Premier League games.
That is despite their transfer spending under the Todd Boehly era – just over a year – exceeding £1billion.
And supporters are growing restless with members of their squad, including the likes of Silva, 38, who has been so reliable for them in recent seasons.
A Chelsea fan account said: “This won’t go down well but I think it’s time to drop Thiago Silva.. 😬.
    READ MORE ON CHELSEA
“Playing him is becoming a problem because we have to play a back 5 to shoehorn him in.
“Playing 4 at the back will allow us to be better going forward and I don’t think we’ll suffer much at the back.
“Nothing but respect to Thiago but I think we’d be better off without him at the minute.”
Silva, who has played 121 games for Chelsea and won the Champions League with the club two years ago, was happy to address the comments.

He replied: “If you look closely at the game, we are playing with a line of 4 my friend!
“But there’s no problem in assuming that I’m also responsible for the defeat.
“Put the pressure on me 👍🏾 no problem yesterday!”
And other Chelsea fans seemed to disagree with the original statement, insisting Silva must remain in the team.
One said: “You’ve got to be joking, he’s our best player by a country mile. He’s 38 – soon to be 39 – performing at the highest level possible. It’s a phenomenon what he is doing at that age.
“It’s ridiculous just how good he is. It’s unique. Not even the great Messi and Ronaldo are doing that. You look at the leagues they’re competing in – one is 38, the other 36. While Silva is competing in the best league in the world.
“Even at his age he is instrumental for us going forward with our young squad. There is no better player to learn from. He will massively improve the likes of Colwill.”
Another added: “Are you kidding me? It’s Thiago and Colwill who deserves to be in the back, if there’s anyone who’s to leave it’s Disasi.
“Why bench Chalobah for Disasi? Please keep his name (Thiago) off of your mouth.”
While a third responded: “You must be crazy actually, just because he got nutmegged doesn’t mean it was his fault why we lost the game.

Man Utd confirm new signings’ squad numbers but fans plead ‘make it make sense’ over strange Bayinder and Hojlund picks

MANCHESTER UNITED have confirmed their squad numbers for this season, but it’s fair to say some of the selections have raised a few eyebrows.Backup goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, who arrived from Fenerbache for £4.3million on deadline day has been handed the No1 shirt.

And Altay Bayindir will wear the No1 shirt, despite being the club’s backup keeperCredit: Getty
Many would have expected Andre Onana to take that jersey, but he prefers the No24 shirt which he wore when he broke through at Ajax.
He says that the shirt has a special meaning to him as it represents his day and month of birth, which is on the second of April.
Fans were also left confused by Rasmus Hojlund being given the No11 shirt this season.
Hojlund, 20, arrived from Atalanta as Manchester United’s top striker target in a £72m deal earlier this window.

Many would have expected the striker to have been given a more traditional attacking number, but with the club failing to secure a deal for Anthony Martial, the No9 remains taken.
Fans on Twitter expressed their confusion at the numbers, with one writing: “Wow that’s interesting! Our backup goalkeeper is #1 and our no. 9 is no. 11 – make it make sense.”
And a second wrote: “Number 11 is cursed since Giggs.”
And a third wrote: “They gave Hojlund WHAT number?” referring to the supposed curse of the shirt.

Since Giggs left the club, the shirt has been worn by Adnan Januzaj, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.
But not all were negative about Hojlund’s number, with one saying: “Rasmus will be cooking with that Giggs iconic jersey number.”
In other squad number news, Sergio Reguilon has been handed the No15 shirt after signing for the club on loan from Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Jonny Evans will wear the No35 shirt, seemingly to remind fans of his age.
And there has not been an official announcement on what shirt new signing Sofyan Amrabat will wear, his signature coming too late to be included in the squad against Arsenal today.
The No4 shirt is currently vacant at United so it is likely he will be handed that number, given he uses it on international duty for Morocco. More
