Ten Hag cited the winger’s “performances in training” for the omission, which prompted him to hit back with a social media statement.
In the statement – which has now been deleted – Sancho claimed he was being made a “scapegoat”.
He wrote: “I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!”

Reports last week suggested that Sancho’s Man Utd teammates “had enough” of him.
Ten Hag has also grown increasingly frustrated with the winger.
According to The Athletic, issues between the United boss and Sancho date back to last season, when Ten Hag attempted to combat the 23-year-old’s timekeeping issues by setting him a schedule at least one hour earlier than the rest of the squad.
While the tactic had some initial success in getting Sancho to arrive on time, it reportedly didn’t last.

An unnamed source from Sancho’s former club Borussia Dortmund also told The Athletic that the England international could be “quite unprofessional” at times during his spell in Germany.
Claims suggest that he occasionally overslept and missed team meetings which prompted a member of staff to knock on his hotel room door most mornings.
Following his public spat with Ten Hag, Sancho was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
However, talks collapsed after Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq refused to agree on a £50million obligation to buy following an initial loan. More

The Leicester legend was left unemployed after he and Nice agreed to rip up his contract with hours remaining of the transfer window.
And it did not take him long to find a new club as Anderlecht have signed Schmeichel on a one-year contract that will see him at the club until June 2024.
Schmeichel had been left out of the matchday squad for Nice in every game so far this season and it was clear his future no longer lay with The Eaglets.
The Danish shot-stopper joined the Ligue 1 side last season and made 36 appearances, keeping clean sheets in 11 of them.

He said: “He looked for a club for a long time. But the idea of terminating the contract had not crossed mind.
“Things accelerated the evening before the end of the transfer window.
“We decided to release him so that he could remain a free player on the market and commit elsewhere.

Schmeichel has taken a huge pay cut with his new club Anderlecht – 26 times less than what he earned during his Leicester days.
Schmeichel said: “Anderlecht is just a massive club and former teammates from different places have always talked so highly and warmly of this place.
“It was something that I really wanted to become part of.
“After speaking with chief executive Jesper Fredberg and manager Brian Riemer, I was very excited about the project that they’re putting in place.”
Fredberg was excited to bring in the 479-cap Leicester star to the Belgian Pro League.
He said: “Although we are happy with the current squad, this was an exceptional opportunity to bring in a goalkeeper with so much experience and know-how.
“The signing of Kasper Schmeichel fits our desire to have top competition in all positions.

The former England star, 40, only quit playing last year after a second spell with Sunderland.
But he vividly remembers the unexpected suffering he endured during his early days with first club West Ham.
Defoe says he was “buzzing” with excitement but soon “stinging” with pain.
Buzzing – from playing against greats like Thierry Henry amid the Gunners’ peak years under Arsene Wenger.

And stinging – from the treatment he got from ex-Three Lions centre-back Keown.
He told BBC podcast Defoe & Deeney Football Firsts: “He’d be standing behind me.
“He’d pinch your back or he’d headbutt the back of your head – mad stuff like that.

Defoe thinks Keown’s behaviour actually inspired him – but wonders if other personalities would have buckled.
He said: “It fuelled me. But if you are a different sort of character you are done.
“In a funny sort of way I loved it because I’m buzzing anyway.
“I’m playing at Highbury – Thierry and that all that lot playing there. I was buzzing, so when he (Keown) did it I loved it but it was mad.
“The pinches would hurt, you know. It felt like someone had punched me – the sting and the little headbutts.”

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri facing astronomical loss even if he manages to sell ailing Toffees for £600m asking price

FARHAD MOSHIRI is in talks to sell Everton to American investment fund 777 Partners — but faces losing a huge £450million.Majority owner Moshiri values the club at £600m yet SunSport understands he would only reclaim about £150m in the event of a sale.

The British-Iranian still needs at least £250m to meet the £505m cost of the Toffees’ new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.
Everton are also believed to owe creditors £200m.
Businessman Moshiri has been seeking a way out of the crisis club since his business partner and Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov was sanctioned 17 months ago over his links to Vladimir Putin.
Miami’s 777 Partners — valued at near £10billion — and managing partner Josh Wander would need to pass the Prem owners’ and directors’ test.

But the Government is understood to have serious concerns over the company’s involvement in several US court cases.
Wander also pleaded no contest for drug offences in 2003 while sister company Sutton Park has been accused of fraud and offering illegal loans.
The group has stakes in seven clubs, including Genoa, Hertha Berlin, Sevilla and Standard Liege.

Belgians Liege missed out on European football last season. And after a miserable start this term fans staged protests inside the ground, with one banner reading: “No money, no ambition.”
Moshiri, who owns 94 per cent of Everton, has ploughed in more than £750m since taking over in 2016 — including loans of around £250m.
Until recently Moshiri, 68, hoped for a £150m influx of cash from MSP Sports Capital but baulked at the terms of the deal.
The Toffees suffered losses of £430m over the last four years, with the club now facing a Financial Fair Play probe and a potential points deduction.
After two successive narrow escapes from the drop, boss Sean Dyche is already mired in another battle for survival — sitting 18th in the Prem.
Failure to stay up would cost Everton £100m. More

The Spaniard unveiled the core of his plan in the Big Apple during the Gunners’ pre-season tour of the USA.
Arsenal rolled out promising displays in New York and Los Angeles as Arteta introduced his meal-time trick.
Saliba explained how the manager strengthened the unity of the travelling party by making them sit next to someone new at every food break.

“The coaches will speak to us about how important it is to be a unit and to be together, not just with the fans, but as a team as well.
“An example is when we were on tour in America. For every meal we mixed the tables. We don’t choose the table where we sit at lunch or dinner.
“We get to speak to the coaching staff, to other players and I really like that.
“There might be a player there who you speak to less and it’s a chance to know them more, to be together.

“That all helps as a team when you are on the pitch too. It really helps when you are on the pitch.”

Arsenal fans beg Mikel Arteta to drop Kai Havertz as Gunners benchwarmer scores STUNNER on international duty

ARSENAL fans have begged for Kai Havertz to be dropped after Leandro Trossard’s impressive showing for Belgium tonight.Belgium went 2-0 up against Estonia with Trossard scoring their second goal.

The winger is playing on the left of a front three completed by Romelu Lukaku and Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku.
And his 18th minute strike to make it 2-0 was a fine one indeed.
The winger received the ball on the edge of the area before beating three men and finishing with a rasping knuckle ball strike.
Trossard impressed in pre-season for the Gunners but has barely featured in the Premier League so far.

He has made just two appearances from the bench in games against Nottingham Forest and Fulham for a total of 62 minutes across both games.
And Gunners fans have contrasted Trossard’s fine form for Belgium with the struggles of Havertz in an Arsenal shirt – and demanded that the Belgian is given a chance.
One fan on Twitter said: “This guy was cooking in preseason can’t believe we haven’t seen more of him, great finish.”
Another wrote: “But Arteta would leave him stuck on the bench and play Havertz no matter what.”

A third commented: “Need to unleash this at Arsenal. Must be best ball striker in the team currently.”
And a fourth added: “Great goal by Trossard. Need to get him in the team, either for Havertz or Martinelli. Can’t take out Saka or Odegaard and don’t think the middle of the front 3 is right for him either.”
In contrast to Trossard’s star-turn for Belgium tonight, Havertz has been dropped by his national side.
The midfielder was left on the bench for tonight’s friendly against France.
Rudi Voller is in temporary charge of the German national team after Hansi Flick’s dismissal this week. More
