United fans were furious with one player in particular after yesterday’s Champions League clash.
Scotland international McTominay was slammed for not trying to win the ball back from Bayern after he had been on the pitch for just 10 minutes.

However, just shortly into his cameo the 26-year-old lost the ball on the edge of Bayern’s area and showed little urgency to win the ball back.

Liverpool ‘targeting incredible move for Real Madrid superstar if Mo Salah completes Saudi transfer in 2024’

LIVERPOOL will reportedly target Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo next year if Mo Salah leaves for Saudi Arabia. The Reds are keeping their eye on the 22-year-old winger who may be falling down Carlo Ancelotti’s pecking order.

Salah was courted by Al-Ittihad during the final days of the summer transfer window for a mammoth £170million – but the Reds swiftly declined the offer.
One reason Liverpool were reluctant to sell the Egyptian star was the lack of time to source a replacement.
If Salah is open to a switch to Saudi in January, the Reds can expect renewed interest in the new year for their main man.
According to Fichajes Jurgen Klopp may be expecting his departure as he has been on the hunt for a Salah successor – and it looks like he has found his match.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
Klopp is keen on Brazilian ace Rodrygo who will enter the final year of his contract at Real next year and will be available to purchase.
There is a catch however as Ancelotti’s side will be asking for a big price and are willing to listen offers that exceed the mark of £86.5million, according to Todo Fichajes.
A price tag that is half of what the Saudi’s have said to be willing to pay for Salah.
This comes as Los Blancos are expecting the arrival of Kylian Mbappe next season and are not prepared to sell their star winger Vinicius Junior.

Rodrygo made a move to the Bernabeu for £40m in 2019 from Brazilian giants Santos.
He has since become a key part of the Madrid team – winning the La Liga title in his debut season and incredibly scoring a goal in his first match within a minute.
The superstar has racked up 171 appearances and scored 38 goals as well as winning two La Liga’s, a Champions League and a Copa del Rey during his four years at the club.
But the reports claims his start to this La Liga campaign has been “inconsistent” with Brahim Diaz potentially being Ancelotti’s preferred option.
This may be the perfect chance for the Reds to swoop in a snatch the Brazilian who they have had their eyes on since his days at Santos. More

Boehly has already seen huge spending in the transfer market, breaking the £1bn barrier in just three windows.
Now Chelsea are set to receive a cash injection worth £400m from US-based Ares Management, report The Telegraph.
It is understood the money will be used to fund expansion projects including the redevelopment of Cobham and a new stadium, which could cost upwards of £1.5bn.
Ares are expected to make the investment as part of a preferred equity deal, which would see the company paid a percentage return on their investment.

Other firms and individuals are reported to be interested in buying shares, with one fronted by former captain John Terry – Boehly is said to be open to offers.
That means more than one deal could be reached with club sources insisting new investment will go towards new projects – not money already spent.
One project Boehly and co-owner Behdad Eghbali are keen to pursue is adding more clubs to their portfolio.
Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon has been identified as a potential feeder club for the Blues as part of plans to build a team capable of achieving 100 points in the Premier League.

Ares’ involvement could be key with the firm announcing it has raised almost £3bn to go towards investing in sports teams.
They have already bought shares in Atletico Madrid and Eagle Football, who bought Lyon last year – with the club now owned by John Textor, a close affiliate of Chelsea chief Eghbali. More

How Tottenham’s Harry Kane buyback clause really works and why Bayern Munich star may be unlikely to trigger it

TOTTENHAM fans were left dreaming about Harry Kane’s return to the club last night – but the buyback clause has a lot more to it than meets the eye.The 30-year-old England captain, 30, left boyhood club Spurs for Bayern Munich in a £104m move last month.
Tottenham’s buyback clause for Harry Kane is more complicated than first thoughtCredit: EPA
That brought an end to an incredible stint in North London that saw him net 280 goals to become the club’s record goalscorer.
Two years after failing to push through a switch to Manchester City, Kane finally secured his exit after chairman Daniel Levy’s hand was forced.
The striker had entered the final 12 months of his contract, and facing the prospect of losing their talisman for nothing in June 2024, they decided to cash in.
However, Levy revealed last night at a fans’ forum that Tottenham have a buyback clause to re-sign Kane from Bayern.
    READ MORE TOTTENHAM NEWS
The star, who penned a four-year deal with Bayern until 2027, has scored four goals in five games under ex-Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel so far in Germany.
But Levy’s claims whetted the appetite for a sensational comeback for the hotshot.
However, now the Daily Mail has revealed that the buyback clause is not a straight-forward one.
And they also state that there are doubts over whether he would want to while Levy is still at the club.

Their report states that “multiple sources have indicated that while there is a mechanism that could open the door to Spurs re-signing Kane, it is believed the facility is not a simple buyback clause”.
They state that they have been informed that the clause only provides Spurs with the first option on Kane should he return to England.
But it is not believed to include a fixed price – meaning they would need to negotiate a fee with Bayern.
They also stated that neither Tottenham nor Kane’s representatives would confirm the specifics of the clause when asked.
Tensions are also believed to have mounted between Levy and Kane during the player’s final days at the club.
The Spurs chief was desperate to avoid losing Kane for nothing and pushed for him to pen a new deal to keep his value up – something the forward showed “no inclination” of doing.
Levy is then reportedly said to have become “increasingly difficult in his approach to sanctioning” his departure and is said to have “pushed back on parts of the deal that Kane and the Bundesliga club believed were agreed”.
This then reportedly “led to the striker having to miss his originally scheduled flight to Germany” and caused “a delay in the deal being finalised”.
Additionally, Kane “was blocked from re-entering Spurs’ Enfield HQ in the hours leading up to his departure”. More

The Turkish FA initially denied he had been fired but two days later confirmed the German had been axed ahead of Euro 2024 next summer.
Montella, 49, is now set to take over, having been out of work since agreeing to mutually part ways with Adana Demirspor in June.
He had guided the side to a fourth place finish in the Turkish Super Lig last season.
Montella previously managed Sampdoria, AC Milan, Sevilla and had two reigns at Fiorentina.

As a player, the striker is best remembered by his days at Roma.
The Italian won Serie A in 2001 and played a total of 258 games for the club, finding the back of the net 102 times.
He also featured in Euro 2000 as Dino Zoff’s side lost in the final to France 2-1.

He swiftly became popular with the club’s fans, scoring six goals in 15 matches for them.
But he rarely started under then manager Chris Coleman and after Lawrie Sanchez was appointed the loan move was terminated a week prior to it expiring.
Montella will now be hoping to lead Turkey to Euro 2024 with the country currently sitting second in qualification Group D behind Croatia and narrowly ahead of Armenia and Wales.
But it will be a tough job for him after Kuntz demanded his players need to work harder and that he “shouldn’t take all the blame.” More
