But according to The Telegraph, they have now been granted approval for Infinite Athlete to take over.
Chelsea’s deal with the sports tech company is believed to be worth around £40million.
It will see the logo feature on the front of both the men’s and women’s team shirts.
The new Infinite Athlete-branded shirts are not expected to be worn during this weeks Chelsea’s Carabao Cup clash with Brighton.

However, they could feature from Monday’s match against Fulham.
Infinite Athlete was established in July after being acquired by Tempus ex Machina, who also signed a deal with Chelsea in April.
The company is an AI statistics provider and it works with broadcasters and streaming services with live information on player statistics and injuries.
Prior to striking a deal with Infinite Athlete, Chelsea saw talks with gambling company Stake and streaming platform Paramount+ fall through.

Premier League chiefs refused to approve the club’s proposed deal with Paramount+ as they believed that such an agreement would upset broadcast partners.

Mudryk’s confidence hits rock bottom as £88m ace refuses to take on Pochettino at crossbar challenge over fear of losing

MYKHAILO MUDRYK felt so low he wanted to bottle out of a crossbar challenge with Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino — because he always LOSES.The Blues splashed out £88million to sign the Ukrainian winger from Shakhtar Donetsk in January — part of US owner Todd Boehly’s whopping £1BILLION transfer splurge since taking charge at Stamford Bridge.

Mauricio Pochettino has been trying to boost Mudryk’s confidenceCredit: Getty
But struggling Mudryk, 22, is without a goal in his 22 appearances and has been subbed off nine times in ten starts.
Pochettino even told him he “needs to understand the game better” after Chelsea’s goalless draw at Bournemouth ten days ago.
And Mudryk has also been unable to beat his 51-year-old manager in trying to chip the ball on to the crossbar as part of an attempted confidence-building training-ground challenge.
It has further dented Mudryk’s fragile belief in himself.
    READ MORE TOP STORIES
Poch revealed: “You know how it works in the brain. It is about, little by little, creating situations that can provide trust, confidence and belief.
“One example… today, with Mudryk, I like to play hitting the crossbar from outside the box.
“But he said to me, ‘No, I’m not going to play anymore with you because always you win’.
“I said, ‘Yes, because I have the belief. The balance in between belief and quality I know very well because I am 51 and you are still young. You need to still know yourself’.”

But he persuaded Mudryk to take him on again yesterday and this time managed to earn a tie.
Poch added: “Today was the first time we drew in the challenge.
“Now, you start to believe in yourself, you start to believe in your quality because, if not, it is not a good balance between belief and quality.
“It is difficult. That is important. It is one aspect of how you work on the psychology of the player and how you can make the difference and provide him with the confidence afterwards to touch the ball and score rather than to go outside or inside. It’s a small example.”
Mudryk is symbolic of the huge problems Chelsea have experienced under the ownership of Boehly and Clearlake Capital — a young player signed at great expense failing to hit the heights expected of him.
Chelsea have failed to score in their last three Premier League games and Pochettino is worried his forwards will start overthinking and snatching at chances.
He said: “Confidence in one aspect is to score goals. We need to be more natural.
“To create chances, it’s not only about your positional game, your movement, if you play with one or two strikers, or different characteristics of the game, the most important thing is to be natural.
“We have been talking a lot in the last two days and we are going to work hard and remain positive.
Mudryk has so far failed to justify his £88m January transfer feeCredit: Getty
“For different circumstances we are not in the best situation. The problem is we are not clinical in front of goal.
“But the important thing is to stay calm and keep working.”
Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson, a £30million buy from Villarreal, is hoping to get back in Poch’s good books with a goal in tonight’s Carabao Cup third-round home tie with Brighton.
Jackson collected his FIFTH yellow card of the season in Sunday’s 1-0 home defeat by Aston Villa — despite a warning from his boss to avoid cheap bookings — and is now suspended for Monday’s West London derby with Fulham.
Pochettino has held more talks with the striker and dished out a punishment that he is keeping under wraps.
The Chelsea boss said: “He needs to learn not only in this but in other areas.
“We are going to see if he is clever enough to adapt and accept advice, and also to learn from mistakes.
“Did he get fined? Not really . . . not in the way you think. It’s not money, it’s private.
The coach will take the blame, which is what always happens when things begin to go wrong, but there’s a completely different business plan.Gus Poyet
“I don’t like to talk about money with players. But in a different way, of course.”
Former Chelsea midfielder Gus Poyet says Pochettino’s job would already be on the line if Roman Abramovich was still the owner.
“The most important thing for Chelsea is that on the inside — with the directors, owners and players — they know where they are.
“But Mauricio knows that five points from six games is not what everyone at Chelsea is expecting.
“I know the coach will take the blame, which is what always happens when things begin to go wrong, but there’s a completely different business plan.

Alejandro Garnacho also got his first goal of the season and stood out down the wing against the experienced Nathaniel Clyne thanks to his pace and positioning.
    Casemiro – 8 (MOTM)
Casemiro is simply just like a fine wine, as the 31-year-old was the best player on the pitch with a goal and assist.

    Victor Lindelof – 6
Came on for the impressive Mount and continued to inspire confidence at the back. A quiet evening for the centre-back.

Once again went close to scoring with a header that was spectacularly kept out by Johnstone.
    Dan Gore – 6
Didn’t emulate the likes of Casemiro, Mount and Amrabat when he came on for the latter.
But a precious experience for the 19-year-old nevertheless.

Donny van de Beek – 6

Largely anonymous after replacing Martial but helped during a few attacks. More

MAURO ICARDI accidentally recreated the most infamous penalty miss in Premier League history – and couldn’t help seeing the funny side of it.The Galatasaray superstar aped Arsenal’s embarrassing effort from 2005 when Robert Pires failed to make contact with a cheeky short pass to fellow “Invincibles” legend Thierry Henry.

This time Turkey winger Kerem Akturkoglu did at least manage to tap the ball sideways.
But Icardi somehow slotted the pass wide when the İstanbulspor keeper was on the ground.
The ex-PSG frontman briefly held his head in his hands.
But he soon burst into a huge grin as he walked back swinging his arms.

That reaction was almost as remarkable as his miss – because Galatasaray were attempting to extend their lead at the top of the Turkish top-flight.
Shocked fans posted “Are you serious?”
And the Argentina hitman instantly proved he certainly was – as he hit the only goal at lowly Istanbulspor on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s notorious spot-kick calamity is still the centre of controversy – 18 years later.

Pires seemed to stumble when he tried to nudge the ball to Henry – with Manchester City defender Danny Mills rushing into clear before the referee gave a free-kick.

Meet Dan Gore, Man Utd kid who had bust-up with Anthony Martial and was sent off v Wrexham for sick tackle while captain

FEW hot prospects at Manchester United have ever had such a colourful teenage career BEFORE breaking through as Dan Gore. The playmaker had a training-ground bust-up with senior striker Anthony Martial and saw red for a contentious tackle when SKIPPERING the Red Devils in a friendly.

The academy product, who only turned 19 in September 2023, can be considered one of United’s ‘super six’ starlets.
Along with Gore, Kobbie Mainoo, Marc Jurado, Shea Lacey, Noam Emeran and Charlie McNeill are trying to hussle their way up to more first-team action.
Currently, Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay have gone from the ranks to riches, progressing from the academy while others were squeezed out by big-money buys like Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes.
Gore joined United from Burnley in 2018 and tasted FA Youth Cup glory four years later alongside equally-exciting Old Trafford talents like Argentina winger Alejandro Garnacho.

And Erik ten Hag clearly has an eye on the Englishman – especially after the responsibility he gave the versatile ace during the 2022-23 pre-season tour of the USA.
But that’s not the first imprint the stylist has left on United’s senior players… almost literally.
Martial reacted angrily to a crunching challenge from Gore during training in November 2022.
Perhaps the Frenchman was frustrated at missing out on a World Cup squad place.

Or maybe it showed Gore’s combative reputation was well deserved.
Whatever the case, manager ten Hag reportedly pulled the pair apart and told the kid to ease off from such stern tackling in practice.
It’s understood Martial later apologised to Gore – and there have been no problems since
However, the young Englishman leapt back into the headline 11 months later on tour in the USA.
Despite playing alongside veteran centre-back Jonny Evans, Gore was at first on a high after being chosen to captain a virtual Red Devils’ reserve side against Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham in a warm-up game.
But he was sent off just two minutes into the second half for a sliding challenge on Andy Cannon.
The moment split the internet – with many fans “baffled” by the dismissal as they reckon the Dragons’ midfielder initially caught Gore.
Since then, though, the teenager has impressed United coaches with his continuing development.
And Under-21s manager  Mark Dempsey is among those backing Gore’s natural ability – especially his leadership skills – to shine through.
Dempsey has told the Manchester Evening News: “He was really good.

The striker was hit with a one game suspension after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season against Aston Villa.
But yellow card bans don’t cross over to the Carabao Cup, so he can be named in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
However, red cards do, meaning Malo Gusto can’t be selected.
The right-back was shown a straight red for a horror challenge on Lucas Digne at the weekend.

He was initially booked for the foul, but the referee upgraded the card from yellow to red following a VAR review.
Chelsea suffered a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday, leaving them 14th in the Premier League table with five points from six games.
After the match, Pochettino admitted he was “disappointed” that two of his players picked up unnecessary bans.
