That sparked interest from several Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Arsenal.
Now the Nigerian has revealed he owns two team shirts – Manchester United and Chelsea.
He told The Obi One podcast: “I don’t have a favourite Premier League team but I’ve two jerseys: Chelsea and Manchester United.
“Many friends of mine are Chelsea fans, few are United fans.

“Premier League is the most appreciated league by every African player — it’s a huge league.”
Arsenal have been linked to a striker with Eddie Nketiah struggling for goals in place of the injured Gabriel Jesus.
Brentford star Ivan Toney is believed to be of interest but he could cost between £80-£100million.
Osimhen is another potential option for the Gunners although SunSport revealed Liverpool sent scouts to watch the Napoli ace while he was on international duty last month.

Premier League table without VAR revealed with Man Utd dropping down table and Tottenham two points clear at top

TOTTENHAM would be top and Manchester United out of the guaranteed European places without VAR.SunSport has monitored every onfield decision changed after intervention by Stockley Park since the start of the season.
Tottenham have fallen off the top following recent defeatsCredit: Reuters
We have then adjusted the results tables to show what would have been the state of play without VAR calls changing games.
That does not include all errors made by VAR, including the wrongly-disallowed Luis Diaz goal for Liverpool at Spurs, as the flag was raised and the decision remained unaltered.
But without VAR, Tottenham’s draws at Brentford and Arsenal – both teams were awarded spot kicks which were scored – are transformed into 2-1 wins for Ange Postecoglou’s men.
United’s record of seven wins and five defeats is unaltered.

Yet Brighton’s 1-1 draw at Everton becomes an away win as Lewis Dunk’s spectacular volley counts as an early equaliser, allowing the Seagulls to move up two places into sixth with United and Newcastle both dropping one place.
Over the first 12 weeks of the campaign there have been 26 altered decisions, including 11 goals disallowed and seven penalties awarded – all of which have been converted.
In terms of actual decisions, Nottingham Forest have been the biggest beneficiaries of VAR, with three calls their way – two in the draw with Burnley and one in the defeat at Liverpool – and none against.
Arsenal and Chelsea have also had three VAR overturns in their favour, balanced out by three going against them.

Mikel Arteta’s side, though, are one point better off, as the “defeat” by Spurs is countered by a “win” at Stamford Bridge, since the early penalty call against William Saliba disappears.
Burnley, Liverpool, United and Spurs have all had three overturns against them.
In the case of United, though, none of them have impacted the match results, only the scoreline.
Alejandro Garnacho’s VAR offside goal at the Emirates is balanced by the penalty that would have been given for the home side when Anthony Taylor was advised to change his mind after Kai Havertz went down in the United box.
United still lose to Brighton even if the Rasmus Hojlund goal – ruled out as the ball was deemed out of play – stands.
Manchester City were comfortable winners in the recent derby at Old Trafford and Bruno Fernandes scored the late winner at Fulham after Scott McTominay’s “opener” was annulled.
There are few changes in position lower down the table with all the teams from West Ham in ninth down to Luton in 18th staying where they are.
But Burnley and Sheffield United flip places with Vincent Kompany’s side two points and a place better off as they earn a “win” at Nottingham Forest with Lyle Foster’s late strike no longer chalked off for a Sander Berge handball in the build-up.
Luton, West Ham and Wolves have still not had a VAR overturn in any of their matches so far. More

My dad won the Premier League with two clubs – now I’m targeting glory in goal for the Philippines

JULIAN SCHWARZER has big boots and even bigger gloves to fill. The 24-year-old’s dad won the Premier League with two different teams and is a national hero with more than 100 caps.

The star could have chosen from five different countries to play forCredit: Instagram @julianschwarzergarcia
But while Mark Schwarzer racked up his appearances for Australia, his son has opted to play for the Philippines.
That is because – despite being born in Harrogate while Mark was at Middlesbrough in 1999 – Julian’s mum and Mark’s wife Paloma Garcia has Filipino heritage.
Paloma was born in the Philippines but migrated to Australia with her family.
Her dad was a footballer and her great-uncle shone for the Philippines national team in the 1960s.

And now his great-great-nephew Julian has opted to follow in his footsteps between the sticks for the Azkals, racking up three caps so far since his 2022 debut.
Incredibly, the rising star could also have chosen to represent Australia, England, Spain or Germany in international football.
Schwarzer Jr grew up in England and signed a scholarship at Fulham in 2016, three years after his old man left Craven Cottage for neighbours Chelsea.
The iconic 109-cap Aussie hero set various records including becoming the oldest Champions League debutant and Chelsea’s oldest player aged 41.

After racking up 150 Premier League clean sheets, Schwarzer still got a Premier League medal even though he did not get on the pitch for Chelsea in the 2014-15 season as Jose Mourinho’s side won the title.
He joined Leicester for 18 months in January 2015, initially as cover for the injured Kasper Schmeichel and helped the Foxes stay in the top flight.
The goalkeeper was then Schmeichel’s unused understudy, on the bench for 37 of the 38 matches, as Claudio Ranieri inspired the incredible 5,000-1 title win.
The miraculous success meant the ex-Boro stopper won the Premier League in two successive seasons for two different clubs.
He was the first player to achieve the feat – Eric Cantona landed the 1992 First Division with Leeds and then the inaugural Premier League at Manchester United – before N’Golo Kante followed suit a year later after swapping Leicester for Chelsea.

But Schwarzer did so without making a single appearance in either campaign.
The veteran eventually retired after his Leicester release in 2016 aged 43 – but now his son is making a name for himself.
After one first-team call-up but no senior appearances for Fulham, Julian embarked on a journeyman career with Pipinsried, Harlow Town, Slough Town, Chipstead, Harrow Borough and Basingstoke Town.
He then returned to Fulham in 2020 as the Under-23 back-up goalkeeper – but after a short loan to Kingstonian, he was released again in 2022.
That prompted a dramatic relocation to the Philippines with Azkals Development Team.

Then in January 2023, Schwarzer Jr transferred to Malaysian outfit Kuching City.
Just six months later, though, he was on the move again, linking up with Arema in the Indonesian Liga 1 where he continues to impress.

While Richarlison is understood to have attracted interest from Al-Ittihad and Spurs could decide to sell as he has failed to live up to his £60million price tag since joining.

However, Werner managed just ten goals in 56 Premier League games before returning two summers ago.
He has started just three league games this season for Leipzig and was an unused sub in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Freiburg.
Werner is coach Marco Rose’s fourth choice behind fellow strikers Lois Openda, Benjamin Sesko and Yussuf Poulsen.
And Leipzig sporting director Rouven Schroder said they are ready to listen to January offers for the 27-year-old, according to German outlet Spox.

“He is a part of our team, and he has to face up to competition for places.”
Werner has won 57 caps, scoring 24 goals, but has lost his place in Germany’s national side due to an ankle injury.
Schroder claimed Werner will overcome his current troubles.
However, the Stuttgart-born frontman could yet seek to leave during the January window – opening the door to a cut-price Premier League return.
Newcastle were very keen on signing Werner on loan last summer, but his Chelsea salary of £270,000 a week were a stumbling block.
Juventus were also interested in taking the German star to Italy, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
However he chose to take a pay cut to around £165,000 a week to seal a move back to RB Leipzig in August 2022. More
