Jude Bellingham’s brother Jobe leaves Sunderland legend stunned with ‘phenomenal’ attribute at just 18

SUNDERLAND legend Niall Quinn has praised Jobe Bellingham’s immediate impact at the Stadium of Light.Jobe, who is the brother of Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham, has put together a raft of impressive performances since joining the Black Cats.

Jobe hasn’t escaped comparisons to his brother and Real Madrid star Jude BellinghamCredit: Rex
The versatile midfielder moved to Wearside last summer following a £3million deal with Birmingham, just hours after his big brother’s record £115m switch to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund.
It is of course impossible for Jobe to escape the comparisons with the England international but he is so far doing the family name proud.
Fans have described the 18-year-old as a “copy and paste Jude” whereas SunSport columnist Troy Deeney claims he can become an “absolute monster” like his sibling.
Jobe’s ex-Birmingham boss John Eustace even claimed the Sunderland star has a significant advantage over Jude as he came out of an academy with equally talented youngsters sharing the spotlight while his sibling was a one-off and thus carries more pressure.

Quinn echoed all those statements as he insists the midfielder replicated the Real star’s brilliant start in Madrid by playing as someone much older and experienced than his age.
The former Republic of Ireland international even went as far as to say Jobe is carrying himself much better than he did at his age back in the day.
Quinn exclusively told Ladbrokes Fanzone: “I’ve watched Jobe Bellingham a lot since he arrived at Sunderland, and if you take him as an individual, it’s as if the stage was just set for him.
“He looks so comfortable playing the game, at such a young age. I can remember being his age, and being afraid to look at the first-team players.
    Most read in Football
“I’d be cleaning boots and looking down so they wouldn’t look me in the eye! I think it’s phenomenal that somebody his age can come in and be that solid. Not big headed, not flash, just solid.
“One of the great weaknesses we had at the Stadium of Light, in the early days, when the Kevin Phillips’ of this world had moved on, when 49,000 people were turning up every week, loving the game, expecting success… players came in and weren’t able to match those expectations.
“For a long period of time it was just too much for players to cope with up there. They found it very difficult to play in the Stadium of Light.
“And here we have, now, a whole new feel around the place. Players are stepping out and fans are delighted with their attitudes, and the type of football they’re playing.

Quinn praised Jobe for performing like a player much older and experienced than his ageCredit: Sportsfile
“And Bellingham leans into that brilliantly, you know? He’s a breath of fresh air. To be like that, at his age, it’s absolutely incredible.
“Look, there are so many positives up there, right now. The fans won’t sit there and be happy with a mid-Championship status for the next few years, I can tell you that.
“But it’s a process, and everybody believes in the process right now. I suppose their signing of players has been really good in terms of what they’re trying to achieve.
“They’re not just bringing players in because they’re fashionable. They’re finding players who fit into a system that’s really easy on the eye.
“Bellingham is obviously one of those guys, but there are many more. Jack Clarke is another one… I won’t single too many out, but there’s a bit of hope in the air at Sunderland right now. It’s good! More

12 forgotten Premier League stars earning a fortune while warming the bench including Man Utd and Arsenal flops

ARSENAL flop Cedric Soares is one of the Premier League’s most expensive benchwarmers. Each Premier League club has a costly outcast with more than £12million wasted on ‘stars’ who have barely played or not made an appearance at all.

Tottenham have already wasted almost £2.5m on unused goalkeepers alone, which is calculated by their earnings per minute played.
Aston Villa claim the unwanted top spot thanks to a summer arrival who has not played a single minute since joining the club.
Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek also makes the list as SunSport takes a look at the top 12 most expensive benchwarmers.
    12. Donny van de Beek – Manchester United
The midfielder, 26, has been plagued by injuries since moving to Old Trafford in 2020, but he has now failed to make an impression under three different managers.

Even Erik ten Hag can’t get a tune out of Van de Beek despite their success together at Ajax, and it appears his time at United could be coming to an end amid links to Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

    11. James Tomkins – Crystal Palace
Tomkins has been a bit-part player at Palace for a few years and has played just one minute in the Prem this season.
At 34 his time in the top flight could be over at the end of the season – when his Eagles deal expires.

    10. Calum Chambers – Aston Villa
The former Arsenal star, 28, was signed for around £17m by the Villans in January 2022 and he has made 30 appearances for the club – but has failed to feature in the league this campaign.

But he has once again found himself out of favour under Unai Emery, having also been overlooked by the Spanish boss while the pair were at the Gunners.

    9. Emil Krafth – Newcastle
The right-back has been kept out of the side by Kieran Trippier and also fallen down the pecking order following the signing of Tino Livramento.
Krafth, 29, has played just one Premier League minute and is unlikely to add to that unless Newcastle’s mini-injury crisis gets even worse.

    8. Adrian – Liverpool
The goalkeeper, 36, has been third choice under Jurgen Klopp for a number of years so is unlikely to play in the league this season.
That means he could end up being one of the most expensive benchwarmers this season as he has already cost the Reds £840,000.

    7. Maxwel Cornet – West Ham
Cornet, 27, was signed with quite a bit of fanfare last year after impressing at Burnley.
But after a promising start to life at West Ham he was struck down by a calf injury that kept him out for five months.
The winger struggled to win his place back in the side and has played just one minute for the Hammers this season, despite being paid £65,000 a week.

    6. Lukasz Fabianski – West Ham
Fabianski has cost the Hammers the same amount of money as his team-mate Cornet – £910,000.
However the 38-year-old has proved useful with his performances in the cup competitions, and he has already made a big contribution to the club during his five years in east London.

    5. Ben Godfrey – Everton
The defender’s Goodison career has stalled since he broke his leg in August last year.
Godfrey, 25, did make 14 appearances last season but has struggled to win back his place under Sean Dyche, which means his £75,000 weekly wage is being wasted.

    4. Cedric Soares – Arsenal
Mikel Arteta has an array of defensive talent available so Cedric has been overlooked this season.
Even the long-term injury to Jurrien Timber has not helped the Spaniard, who has already cost the Gunners more than £1m.
Arsenal are wasting big bucks on CedricCredit: Getty
    3. Fraser Forster – Tottenham
The former England goalkeeper is back-up to Guglielmo Vicario and likely to remain in that role thanks to the Italian’s brilliant form.
The 35-year-old is still picking up a hefty salary however, earning £75,0000 a week in return for zero minutes played.

    2. Hugo Lloris – Tottenham
Spurs are also throwing away money on another keeper, Hugo Lloris, who looks set to leave at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old has gone from No1 to outcast under Ange Postecoglou, and will end up costing Tottenham millions until his contract expires.

    1. Clement Lenglet – Aston Villa
Clement Lenglet takes the unwanted honour of the Premier League’s most expensive benchwarmer – and by some distance.
Aston Villa signed the centre-back on loan in the summer and are covering his £150,000-a-week Barcelona wages, yet have decided not to play him in the league, with Pau Torres and Ezri Konsa selected ahead of the Frenchman.

Premier League teams braced for Saudi transfer raid on best players in January with Salah, Sancho and Son all targeted

SAUDI ARABIA have warned Premier League clubs they will come for their top players once more in January.Michael Emenalo, the transfer chief for the disruptive Gulf state, says any additions in the next window will be strictly of the “highest level”.

Heung Min Son and Richarlison are also targetsCredit: Reuters
Saudi Pro League clubs forked out a staggering £784million on signings to build up their squads during the summer.
Almost 90 per cent of that spending was from state-backed clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund, who own Newcastle, with Karim Benzema, Neymar and Sadio Mane among the big names to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the SPL.
But Emenalo says from now on their business will not be as chaotic and only top level players will be targeted.
Liverpool star Mohammed Salah is the top priority after a £150million bid was rejected in the summer, but a move in January is unlikely.

Manchester United duo Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane are also of interest while Tottenham pair Son Heung-min and Richarlison have been linked.
Asked about January signings in an in-house interview with SPL, Emenalo said: “Whatever additional improvement that we need to do for any club, with time on our hands and preparation, we believe will be additions of the highest level.
“I’m hoping it’s not very busy, because I think the job that was done has been quite interesting and aggressive, and most of the clubs, I believe, have what they need.
“And hopefully the attention will now turn to work within the training facilities to improve these players and to allow the time to adapt and perform.

“We accomplished what we wanted to accomplish [in the summer], which was to get our foot into the market and compete aggressively.
“But, also, we wanted to do that while giving every single club in the league an opportunity to improve. I believe we accomplished that.
“What you’re seeing, in terms of the quality of the games and the performance of most of the acquired international players, is a vindication that the transfer market has been relatively well. And we hope that we will continue to perfect our process in the future.”
Emenalo has now been tasked with developing more homegrown talent ahead of Saudi Arabia hosting the World Cup in 2034, with the Kingdom controversially offering the only bid to Fifa. More

Haaland’s agent warns Man City to enjoy him while they can before transfer exit.. and here’s five clubs he could join

ERLING HAALAND’S agent has warned that the superstar striker could leave Manchester City. The 23-year-old won the Treble during his first season at the club and already has 17 goals to his name this term.

Rafaela Pimenta claims a ‘change’ could happenCredit: INSTAGRAM/Rafaela Pimenta
Despite enjoying life in Manchester, his agent Rafaela Pimenta revealed that the door is open to him leaving City in the future.
When asked about reports linking him to other clubs like Real Madrid, she said: “Erling is the master of own destiny, always.
“He will always do what’s good for him and for Man City.
“When they all are open to make a change, it will happen.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
“Erling will always be respectful. For sure respect has to be on both club and player side. I’ve no doubts, Man City will respect him.
“If something has to happen one day, we will agree on every step together with the club. It’s always about respect.”
Pimenta was asked if Haaland is happy at the Eithad, to which she replied: “You have to ask him. And this does not mean the opposite. I know he is, but I don’t like to speak for others.
“I see it like this, the sporting result comes when things are good. When there is positivity, harmony, energy… things happen.”

On Haaland’s relationship with Pep Guardiola, she added: “You have to ask Erling this, but as far as I know, from the feedback I have, they get along very well.”
The ex-Borussia Dortmund goalscorer’s dad Alf-Inge previously suggested his son wants to play across Europe, saying: “I think Erling wants to test out his capabilities in every league.
“Then he can stay in every league for three to four years maximum.
“He could have two-and-a-half years in Germany, two-and-a-half in England, and then in Spain, Italy, France, right?”
Following Pimenta and his father’s comments, SunSport have taken a look at five club’s that could be Haaland’s next destination with him already conquering England and Germany.
    Real Madrid
Karim Benzema departed in the summer for Al-Ittihad and was replaced by veteran striker Joselu.
Real Madrid are expected to be in the market for a big-money attacker this summer with Kylian Mbappe heavily linked with the them.
But if they decide not to sign the PSG star, Haaland could emerge as an alternative with Los Blancos reportedly ready to smash the transfer world record and bid £200million for him.
Pimenta was recently spotted watching a game at the Santiago Bernabeu which caused speculation to rise.
    Barcelona
Barcelona could be another LaLiga destination for Haaland.
Current goalscorer Robert Lewandowski is still performing but is now aged 35.
Barca could find it tough to raise the funds to tempt Haaland and City with the club battling financial difficulties.
    Juventus
If Haaland wants to go to Serie A then Juventus could be his best.
The Turin-based side tried to sign him when he was a teenager in 2017.
But they decided not to push through the £2m deal they struck with Molde.

Juventus are one of the only club’s in Italy that could potentially afford the Norwegian and they are reportedly open to selling striker Dusan Vlahovic should a good offer come in.
    PSG
PSG have been the home to several of the world’s best players since they were taken over by Qataris in 2011.
With Lionel Messi and Neymar gone, and Mbappe considering an exit, a gap could open up for Haaland to be the latest global star to land in Paris.
Money is rarely a hurdle for the club and they are the only team in France that can afford him should he want to experience Ligue 1.
    Chelsea
A shock City alternative could be Chelsea.
    Read More on The Sun
Mega-rich owner Todd Boehly has splashed the cash on a range of players but the Blues still lack a world-class striker.
Unlike Manchester United, Chelsea are not rivals to Haaland’s current club and they could hand him an exciting new challenge should he want to stay in the Premier League.
