With Ratcliffe’s arrival edging closer he is expected to be making a lot of changes to the Man Utd squad.
Only just last term the club waved goodbye to a host of stars including David de Gea, Anthony Elanga, Dean Henderson and Fred.
But United have lost nine of their opening matches this term as the Dutch boss is desperate for a bigger clearout of his squad according to Manchester Evening News.
The report claims over the next 12 months Ten Hag is aiming to get rid of 10 or more players with the help of the club’s new takeover from Ratcliffe’s £1.3billion deal to buy 25 per cent of the club.

The long list includes defender Jonny Evans who is nearly 36 and could struggle to earn himself a new deal as his contract runs out next year.
Raphael Varane is another suspect who is at risk of being thrown out the exit door as he has fallen down the pecking order.
SunSport exclusively revealed the former Real Madrid star is targeting a move to Saudi Arabia or Italy, but not until the summer window.
It’s clear Ten Hag has opted for Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof over the French international this term.

But Lindelof’s deal is also up next year while Maguire’s runs out in 2025.
Meanwhile, full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is approaching the final six months of his contract as his future at Old Trafford remains uncertain.
The report also claims Ten Hag will be looking to make more changes in the midfield.
While Fred headed to the Turkish side Fenerbahce, United held onto Scott McTominay despite interest from West Ham.
United ended up replacing the Brazilian with Sofyan Amrabat who joined on loan from Fiorentina.
There is an option to sign the Moroccan permanently at the end of the term but he is yet to prove himself and become a regular starter for the team.
Meanwhile, midfielders Caseimiro and Christian Eriksen are both in their 30s and United could be tempted to sell the pair.
Also Anthony Martial’s future remains unclear as his contract runs out next June.
The French star is in his ninth term at United but has fallen down the ranks since Rasmus Hojlund’s arrival.
Having failed to score since May he has made a limited amount of appearances in Ten Hag’s squad this season.
With United only managing to hit the back of the net 13 times so far this term a change to the frontline is impending.
And the other stars on the offload list are backup shot-stopper Tom Heaton and Hannibal Mejbri whose contracts run out in 2024.
Hannibal’s contract can be extended for another 12 months but Heaton’s time at Old Trafford could be coming to an end.

In his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest Timber, 22, pulled up with an off-the-ball injury.
The £38million summer signing arrived from Ajax during the summer to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s backline.
But a worrying update from the Dutch outlet AD has confirmed when the Netherland international will be able to return to the pitch.
And the report claims it is unlikely Timber will make his country’s Euro 2024 squad ahead of the tournament next summer.

There was hope the Gunners’ new boy could return for at least the last part of the season.
But following surgery on his ACL his playing time this term looks uncertain.
Timber is a promising signing for Arteta despite having played just 50 league minutes since his arrival.
He impressed the Spaniard after assisting Ajax with two Eredivisie titles and winning the league’s Player of the Year for the 2021-22 term.

The signing of the Dutchman was a clear move that Arsenal wanted to improve on their backline.
But the Gunners have faced a huge blow as Arteta has been forced to return to last season’s defensive options Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Arsenal have not hit rock bottom however and are still performing strong as they sit 3rd in the table with eight out of 12 league wins.
And they will continue to fight for the Premier League title again this term as they next take on Brentford on Saturday evening. More

The Red Devils have endured a tricky season so far, from their takeover saga rumbling on in the background to their poor on-pitch performances.
The Glazer family have long been criticised for allowing Old Trafford, English football’s biggest club stadium, to be left behind by its more high-tech rivals over the last two decades, with Gary Neville among the biggest critics.
Appearing on the Diary of a CEO podcast, the pundit said: “I used to laugh when I went to Anfield and compared it to Old Trafford. I’d always think: ‘They can never catch up, they’re too far behind’.
“They’re building that second stand now behind the goal where the away fans sit. The main stand now is towering up. Anfield will be a more modern ground than Manchester United and Old Trafford in 12 months. That is unforgivable.”

Now Checkatrade, a site that enables users to connect with tradespeople, have stuck the boot in – by mocking the Red Devils on a huge billboard outside Old Trafford.
Their advert mocks the Theatre of Dreams’ dodgy roof – by claiming they could fix it.
It features a tick next to “leaky roof” on a checklist, but sticks the boot in further by adding a cross next to “leaky defence”.
The ad finishes with the sentence: “There are some things that even Checkatrade can’t fix.”

While a second called it: “Brilliant.”
A further United fan moaned: “We are a joke.”
And another admitted: “We’re a meme.”
Another tweet read: “Ingenious and strategic. Hope the board gets the memo.”
Just last week fans were left stunned as a part of the Old Trafford ceiling appeared to crumble during a Women’s Super League match.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is on the verge of completing a deal to buy a 25 per cent minority stake in the Red Devils.
It’s understood that he will be focused on the football side of the business – starting in the January transfer window.

“I think the club is using too many key words about the project or whatever.
“It takes time to build anything of value but since the new ownership, I don’t see any stability from the management.”

Mikel Arteta’s decision to buy him has raised eyebrows and Havertz is yet to convince critics on the pitch.
He has scored just one goal and managed the same disappointing number of assists in 19 games this season.
Gallas is not surprised the transfer has not worked out, telling Genting Casino: “I said at the beginning of the season that Havertz would struggle for Arsenal.
“I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but he is still struggling.

“I think it was always going to be difficult for Havertz to adapt to the way that Arsenal play and the way that Arteta wants to use him.
“I don’t think he was the type of player that Arsenal needed to sign in the summer.
“When you look at the squad, in my opinion, there were different types of players that they should have prioritised.
“It looks like it was a mistake to sign him.”

Despite his struggles, Havertz regularly starts for Germany and he bizarrely played at left-back for the first time ever in their 3-2 friendly loss to Turkey on Saturday.
Manager Julian Nagelsmann hinted that he could experiment with his position again.
Gallas, who played 142 times for Arsenal, said: “At 24-years-old, Havertz is playing as a left back four his country? Seriously? Something is very wrong.
“For me, to make this decision, it seems like Nagelsmann doesn’t respect Havertz as a player.
“I’m completely confused. I’m trying to think about it from the player’s point-of-view – this doesn’t look good.
“I don’t like this decision, this is a complete lack of respect from Nagelsmann.”
