And sources close to the club say Ten Hag is keen to “fast-track” Fletcher’s progress.
Our source said: “Erik Ten Hag has been watching Jack closely for several months now and has been really impressed. He thinks he has huge potential which is why he decided to promote him to train with the first team last week.
“Ten Hag is now working with his staff to put a plan in place to try and develop and fast-track Jack’s progress.
“He is likely to go out on loan next season but Erik believes, in the long term, he has a massive future at United. He’s been wowed by his attitude, and his maturity and – thinks he is the latest in an exciting crop of talent to be coming through at United.”

The 16-year-old, who was the only Under-18 representative in the group, joined United from rivals Manchester City earlier this year.
Jack joined alongside his twin Tyler, and the pair are sons of United technical director Darren.
While Jack was not selected as part of the travelling party to Istanbul, he’ll be buoyed to have been selected to train with the first team.
Kobbie Mainoo made a sensational Premier League full debut for United against Everton on Sunday at the age of 18.

And Alejandro Garnacho, 19, scored a stunning overhead kick at Goodison Park and also emerged from United’s academy.
Meanwhile, Sun Online can reveal Ten Hag remains confident United can still have a “brilliant season” despite their European future hanging in the balance.

Our source added: “Spirits remain high. United’s form of late has been good and they still think they can get out of the group, and go on to have a brilliant season.

Chelsea players ‘still scarred from last season’ as Mauricio Pochettino warned Blues stars ‘learning how to walk again’

MAURICIO POCHETTINO has been warned that his Chelsea stars are “learning how to walk again”, with many “still scarred from last season”.The Blues have already spent a whopping £1billion under Todd Boehly following his 2022 takeover.

But they have little to show for it after already working their way through FOUR game-day managers.
Fans are hoping fifth time’s the charm with ex-Tottenham gaffer Pochettino.
Yet despite a promising pre-season, Chelsea have won just four of their 13 league games under the Argentine.
They currently sit 10th in the table, just two places above last season’s finish.

And big-money signings such as Enzo Fernandez have struggled to get going in a new-look system.
Chelsea are now preparing to dip into the market once again for reinforcements.
They will also soon be boosted by the returns of Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia, with both players yet to make a competitive appearance.
And former Chelsea star Emmanuel Petit reckons his old side are slowly but surely on the right track.

Even so, he has warned fans and Pochettino that it will still take a long time for things to properly click.
That’s because many players in the current squad were part of last term’s disastrous project.
And they are still shrugging off the disappointment that came under Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Bruno Saltor and Frank Lampard.
Petit told Lord Ping: “I think that Chelsea are looking better than last season and, under Pochettino, they are gradually improving. Some individual players have performed well this season, Raheem Sterling for example.
“I think that this team is still scarred from what happened to them last season. It will take time to see the best of Chelsea as a team.
“There are so many new players that have joined the club and I think a lot of these players have not performed at their best level since they signed (for the club).
“I think in the big games this season, they have shown character. This is not the best Chelsea team that we have seen – they can improve much more – they are starting from a position of recovery.
“They are learning how to walk again after a bruising period last season.
“I’m pretty sure that we will see a better Chelsea team after January. I was not surprised by the result against Newcastle, they still have a lot of things to sort out, but they are on the right track.” More

Mainoo made his first league start for Erik ten Hag’s side in their 3-0 win against Everton.
The English midfielder was surprisingly on the bench for United’s thrilling 3-3 draw against Galatasaray on Wednesday night but held his own after coming on.
And ex-United winger Sharpe believes the academy graduate should be ahead of Casemiro and Amrabat in the pecking order for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Newcastle.
He told 888sport after the Champions League game: “He looks like a natural in the team. He slots in and doesn’t panic in situations.

“There were a couple of players around him last night, but he kept the ball and displayed some nice touches, he just never gets flustered.
“He always looks composed and knows what’s around him – he comes across as an experienced first-teamer, but he’s only been in the team for two minutes.
“I’ve got high expectations for him – hopefully the manager and the club can protect him and play him at the right times.
“When you’re bringing off your new signing, Sofyan Amrabat, who you’ve paid millions for, to replace him with a young lad, it says a lot about his ability.

“You’ve also got Casemiro not playing at the moment, and I think Mainoo can keep each of them out of the team – I reckon he’s better than both of them.”
The Stockport-born star joined United’s academy at nine years old and after excelling through the ranks he signed his senior contract last year.
An ankle injury after a fine pre-season ruled him out of the start of the campaign.
With the midfielder now fit again Ten Hag will decide whether he starts again in an important game against Eddie Howe’s side on Saturday night.

The Gunners have secured the top spot in Champions League Group B and are now in the knockout stage.
Arteta’s squad are the first team in the competition to have five different goalscorers in the first half of a game.
In their biggest Champions League victory Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard and Jorginho all bagged a goal.
But Arsenal legend Merson, 55, feels Havertz – who started on the left of midfield last night – can be even better if Arteta takes his advice and plays him in a different spot.

He said after the match on Sky Sports: “Havertz is a confident player and he’s playing with confidence right now.
“I thought he was the best player on the pitch tonight. He was elegant, he picked the right passes and made the right decisions.
“He’s a top player. I don’t think he’s playing in the right position but he’s still a top player.”
During his Chelsea days, Havertz starred as a centre-forward but since his arrival in North London Arteta has switched him to midfield.

Havertz has had a difficult start at Arsenal and struggled to bring his goalscoring prowess to Arteta’s squad.
But he seems to have found his feet again recently.
He scored for Germany against Turkey on the international break and managed to find the back of the net again on Saturday in the Gunners’ 1-0 win against Brentford.
And the ex-Bayern Leverkusen star will hope to continue his excellent form in Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Wolves on Saturday afternoon. More

Everton face another points deduction THIS SEASON if club are found guilty of new rule break

EVERTON could be hit with a further points deduction THIS season – if they have committed another breach of financial rules.Like the other 19 Premier League clubs, the Toffees must submit their 2022-23 season accounts to League chiefs by the end of the year.
Another points deduction could be coming for Sean Dyche’s EvertonCredit: Getty
The Toffees have already been hit with a ten-point deductionCredit: PA
And as the Goodison outfit formally appeals tomorrow against the unprecedented 10-point penalty imposed by an independent commission, it emerged there are internal fears that another breach could be detailed by the latest accounts.
Under Prem profitability and sustainability rules, clubs are limited to losses of £105m over a three season period.
Everton eventually admitted they had been in breach of the regulations in 2021-22, although they tried to argue against the commission findings that they had busted the limit by £19.5m.
The charges were laid in February and finally dealt with this month.
    READ MORE ON FOOTBALL
But new Prem rules, unanimously adopted by all 20 clubs including Everton in the summer, set a swifter timetable for “simple” breaches which came into effect from the start of this season for new cases.
The new regulations say that a charge for “standard” breaches of the regulations must be laid within 14 days of the club financial accounts being provided.

A commission hearing must then be held within 84 days, with the verdict and – if applicable – sentence delivered within a further seven days.
That means any Everton breach would bring a charge by January 15 with a final decision by April 15.

Prem chief executive Richard Masters told last month’s hearing that League bosses believed the starting point for any breach should be a six-point deduction plus an extra point for each £5m over the allowed loss limit.
That argument was not accepted by the commission but did signal a potential punishment.
And if Everton were found to have committed a second successive breach, it is likely that the commission would come down even harder.
Meanwhile, it seems likely that Manchester City will not know the outcome of the 115 charges they face until the tail end of NEXT season.
City are vehemently contesting the allegations with lawyers for the club and the League engaged in a complicated legal battle over documentation, witnesses and other aspects of the case.
A potential hearing date of next autumn is understood to have been pencilled in for a case which is far less clear-cut than the Everton affair.
But the hearing could last two months or more given the sheer weight of evidence from both sides, with the final verdict unlikely before late spring of 2025 at the earliest.
Following the sanction and the loss to United, Dyche’s side now find themselves 19th in the table and five points from safety after 13 games.
They travel to Nottingham Forest this weekend in their next crunch clash.

Newcastle vs Man Utd: Magpies host Red Devils in a Premier League Saturday showdown – stream, TV channel, team news

MANCHESTER UNITED and Newcastle face off in a thrilling Premier League encounter on Tyneside – and both sides will be desparate to put their midweek troubles in the past. The Magpies were robbed of a sensational win in Paris when Kylian Mbappe’s controversial late penalty forced them to share a point with PSG.

And as a result, Eddie Howe’s men have to depend on other results going their way to seal Champions League last-16 qualification.
Meanwhile, United’s European hopes hang by a thread after throwing away a two-goal lead against Galatasaray only to draw 3-3.
To stand any chance of earning a knockout spot, Erik ten Hag’s side would have to beat Bayern Munich at the Allianz on matchday six.
However, all attention now switches to the Premier League and both clubs will be determined to build on their emphatic wins last weekend.

    What is the team news?
Both managers have an extremely lengthy injury list ahead of this crucial clash.
Defender Dan Burn is still absent with a back injury, while Sven Botman remains sidelined with a knee issue.
Harvey Barnes and Callum Wilson are both still recovering from their respective injuries and are not expected to return until the Christmas period.
Sean Longstaff could potentially make a return to face Man Utd on Saturday.

Joe Willock’s return date from his Achilles injury is still yet to be determined, while Jacob Murphy and Matt Targett are set to be sidelined until the new year.
Sandro Tonali continues to be ruled out due to his suspension for betting offences.

For Manchester United, Lisandro Martinez is still recovering from a foot injury so he will not be available.
Casemiro was forced off with a hamstring injury when United faced Newcastle in the Carabao Cup last month and is yet to return.
Jonny Evans picked up a thigh injury against Copenhagen before the international break and is unlikely to be ready in time for Saturday’s match.
Christian Eriksen and Mason Mount are also sidelined due to injury, as well as Amad Diallo and Tyrell Malacia.
Jadon Sancho has still been banished from the first team following his fall-out with Erik ten Hag.
    What is their form like?
Both teams head into the game off the back of disappointing results in the Champions League, with Newcastle failing to beat PSG and Man Utd squandering a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Galatasaray.
However, the Magpies stunned Chelsea 4-1 in their most recent Premier League game which will give them confidence when they host United.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils have won each of their last three Prem games while also keeping three clean sheets.
Who will be the star players?
Alexander Isak returned from a groin injury to face Chelsea last week and opened the scoring within the opening 13 minutes.
The striker also scored a crucial goal for Newcastle against PSG on Tuesday, so he will arguably be the Magpies’ biggest threat.
Alexander Isak has scored in each of his last two Newcastle games
Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho is in fantastic form for Man Utd.
The 19-year-old scored the goal of the season so far when he fired a bicycle kick into the top-right corner against Everton last week.
He also scored for the Red Devils against Galatasaray on Wednesday, so Newcastle will have to keep a close eye on him at the weekend.
Alejandro Garnacho has scored two excellent goals in two games for United
    What has been said?
Discussing how he and his team plan to get over Tuesday’s disappointing 1-1 draw with PSG, Howe said: “I think we have to look that we’re still in the competition.
“The first thing to do is look a that because it could have been different tonight, so that game now is going to take on huge significance for lots of different reasons.
Eddie Howe is hoping to put Tuesday’s disappointment behind himCredit: Getty
“We’re back at home and we’re excited about the game when it comes around, so they’re huge positives for us, so that’s why I don’t think we should lose sight of that despite the disappointing ending.”
Meanwhile, Ten Hag admitted that he is responsible for Man Utd failing to win against Galatasaray.
He told TNT Sports: “I am responsible for this. We know we are in a project. We are making improvements, so that’s very hopeful.
“We are going in the right direction so I know we will be successful in the long-term, but if you want to stay in the Champions League you need to win these games.
“We were winning and then we’re losing it. We should have taken three points, that’s clear. We did this in other games. I was pleased with how we played but at the same time I have to criticise the team because the defending is not good enough.”
When is Newcastle vs Man Utd?

It is scheduled to get underway at 8pm GMT.
St James’ Park is the allocated arena for this huge match and it can host approximately 52,000 spectators.

Why Manuel Neuer was Man Utd’s unlikely hero as he keeps them in Champions League after Galatasaray nightmare

But twice they were pegged back in what ended in a six-goal 3-3 thriller in Istanbul.
It left them rock bottom of the group and needing Bayern to avoid a shock defeat at home to Copenhagen.
But the Germans – who already progressed top of the table – almost suffered a shock loss in the dying embers of the match.
Mohamed Elyounoussi’s towering header forced the German No1 to get down low to his left side.

And he did excellently well to then save the rebound effort and help Bayern clear the ball to safety.
It means United still have a glimmer of hope in qualification when Thomas Tuchel’s side travel to Old Trafford.

So with United’s chances just about alive, fans were quick to thank stopper Neuer for his heroics.

Fernandes admitted to mistake in United’s draw
Ex-Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech scored from two free-kicks – one of which was given away by Fernandes.
Goalkeeper Andre Onana came into question for Ziyech’s goals and Fernandes admitted to mistakes in his post-match interview.
He told TNT Sports: “It was another game where we could have closed the game.
“We had too many chances, as I’ve said, and mistakes by ourselves. It’s too bad, to be honest.

United legend Scholes took a different view and urged captain Fernandes to own up to his own errors.
He said in studio: “I know in his interview he is talking about mistakes, but he made two big mistakes tonight by giving two stupid fouls away that lead to two goals.
