Manchester City are currently third in the Premier League trailing one point behind Liverpool and six behind Arsenal.
But the Spanish boss took aim after accusations of complacency since winning the Treble from the Sky Sports pundits.
Guardiola said: “‘Gary Neville knows how difficult it is otherwise he would’ve won four Premier Leagues in the best period of Manchester United.
“Maybe they accuse us of complacency because they felt complacency at United.

“Maybe they felt it. This team so far, no chance. Jamie Carragher didn’t win one title.
“I don’t have anything to say about the pundits, honestly. It’s not about that complacency. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think it’s about complacency.”
But former Liverpool man Carragher hit back to say he would have won a title if his club was in the same position as City.
He tweeted: “I think I’d have probably won one if Liverpool were owned by a nation-state, and pushed the rules so far that the PL charged us 115 times!

“I was actually praising Pep’s team after the game on Sunday, he added with a laughing face emoji.”
Carragher spent nearly two decades at the Reds and even though he swept up two FA Cups and a Champions League he never got his hands on the Premier League title.
Meanwhile, City have been charged with 115 breaches of financial regulations in February after an investigation opened in 2018 by the Premier League.
A date in autumn 2024 has been agreed for the club, which vehemently denies any wrongdoing, to face an independent panel.
However, it is expected a decision will not be made until the end of next season – the summer of 2025 when Guaridola’s contract runs out. More

They are seventh in the Premier League, bottom of their Champions League Group and already out the Carabao Cup.
But Ten Hag said: “There will always be tough times in every journey.
“We are in the right direction. I know we will get there, where we want to be.
“Because – see my record. Everywhere where I was, every season, I got my targets.

Ten Hag was a winner at Ajax and had a successful first season in charge of United finishing third and reaching two domestic Cup Finals, lifting their first trophy in six years with the Carabao Cup.
But there has been a downturn this season that has brought questions over whether he has the backing of the dressing room.

“Oh yes, I am sure,” Ten Hag said.
“You can see for instance the comeback against Brentford, the Burnley game, the Fulham game, every time the team is there and have shown great character, great determination, resilience so we are together.
“You can see you can’t play such great football as we did recently without unity.
“We had a week of two good performances and one bad performance so from there we carry on, the team is in a good direction.
“We played very good football, scored very good goals against Galatasaray and Everton.

“Against Newcastle we didn’t play great, we knew that, we were not happy with that performance, but we stayed in the game and had two good opportunities to get a point.”
“But we are not robots, if you play three games in six days, tough games and by the end the fatigue can be an issue.”
The body language of some players at St James’ was also an issue pointing to a sense of disunity with some players.
There are also those not in the team who are unhappy.
But Ten Hag said it was normal.
He said: “Of course there are always in every team players who are not playing, who are not as happy.
“That is normal, you have to wait for the chance and that can come but there are no issues.”
Ten Hag says that he has an open dialogue with all his players and some have challenged him over how the team plays and selections.

Mauricio Pochettino brutally punishes Chelsea flops for ill-discipline with Blues dirtiest team in Premier League

MAURICIO POCHETTINO forced his card-happy squad to watch video reruns of their needless bookings.Chelsea are the most unruly team in the Premier League with 47 yellows and one red card this season.

Nicolas Jackson has regularly been booked for dissentCredit: Getty
The majority are for dissent, gesturing to get opponents in trouble or cynical acts to delay play like kicking the ball away – and boss Pochettino says it must stop.
He said: “Today we were talking in the meeting and we showed the clips of the yellow cards. There are too many because they changed the rules this season.
“We need to be clever. You upset a player, you get a yellow card, and then later in the game, you can receive another yellow. We receive too many like this.
“We were talking about Nicolas Jackson, the yellow cards from complaining to the referee.

“An opponent makes a foul and doesn’t receive a yellow card. You complain and say “why is that not a yellow card?” And it’s “Oh, yellow card for you.
“We need to be clever and improve in this area. We cannot be silly to keep repeating the same mistakes.”
Striker Jackson has served a ban this season for picking up five bookings – all for dissent or trying to get opponents booked themselves which is now considered an offence. Even now he has as many cards as goals – seven.
Petulant defender Benoit Badiashile was cautioned in Sunday’s 3-2 win against Brighton for kicking the ball away at a free kick.

Chelsea captain Reece James is back from his second suspension in just two months for the game at Manchester United.
The skipper copped a ban for abusing officials after a game in which he didn’t play – the home defeat to Aston Villa in September.
Refs have tightened up on time wasting, harassing officials and whingeing this season and Chelsea are struggling to adapt with a young squad containing many new imports to English football.
Pochettino said: “It’s difficult to understand this rule but now referees want to apply it. When we play football, if you make a foul, and the opponent comes to take the ball you touch it quickly. It’s difficult to change.”
Chelsea’s new boss is trying to change the culture of misdemeanours in his players but is trying to get back the old philosophy of win at all costs from within Stamford Bridge.
Sunday’s 10-man victory over Brighton was a start.
Pochettino said: “We want to build something; a project. The culture of Chelsea is about winning. Is it different to the past? Of course.
“A different way to approach things? Of course. Because it’s a different view. To be at the same level in the past, but the culture of Chelsea is about to win.”
Wednesday night will mark a four year reunion for Pochettino and Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.

Former Manchester United skipper Neville claimed City were letting their bid for a fourth successive Prem title slide after last Sunday’s 3-3 meeting with Tottenham.
He said: “What he won’t like, Guardiola, is [the] decision, the complacency, defensive lapses and giving up points again to Tottenham.”
His fellow Sky Sports pundit Richards added: “Something’s just not right, too easy to play against on counter, individual mistakes again.”
But Guardiola, bidding to become the first manager in history to win four top-flight crowns, sneered: “Maybe I’m wrong but it’s not about complacency.

“Just one Treble before us. It’s so difficult to do it again and again.
“We don’t have what others have, who haven’t done it for many, many years.
“Normally it happens that when you drop points, people say : ‘OK you drop points, against Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham – what a disaster.’
“It’s Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham – what do people expect? That we get 120 points and be 20 points in front?
“Of course our behaviour in some moments, after winning the Treble and three leagues in a row, you need sometimes to defend a cross more aggressively, how we attack a ball.
“They are the little details. It happens. They come because we won a lot.”
Guardiola, who leads his side tomorrow tonight against Aston Villa, rejects suggestions that three successive draws means standards are slipping in his team – that will be without Rodri and Jack Grealish with doubts over Jeremy Doku.
Villa could go above City into third place but the City manager declares: “We talk a lot about how we still need to be there.

    Match stats
    What a game.
The stats pretty much tell the story of the game.
Arsenal dominated, but Luton perhaps deserved a point for clinging on and maximising their efficiency the best they could.
Take a look at the stats here…

    That’s what they do!
    Big games, big players.
When you want to win the Premier League, you need to find a way, and that is what the great teams do.
Arsenal found a way today, through Declan Rice, proving why he cost the club over £100 million.
Can they actually do it this year?
    Five points clear for now…

    Unlucky Luton…
Let’s give credit where it is due.
Luton deserved a point from that game.
They put up one hell of a fight against the league leaders, and kept the game at 3-3 right up to the death.
Ross Barkley, Gabriel Osho and Elijah Adebayo were all brilliant, as well as Kaminski in goal.
If they can play like that, with such intensity and passion for the rest of the season, they might just have enough to stay in the Premier League.

Odegaard whips the ball into the middle, which Rice attacks and heads home!

    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
90+4. A rare venture forward for Luton on the left hand side, which is wasted and Arsenal will come back at them again.
Ben White wins another corner for the Gunners.

    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
90+2. A late corner to Arsenal, whipped into the middle and then cleared by Osho.
It is still all Arsenal here.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    90. There will be six minutes of added time at the end of this one.
Are we going to get one of those late infamous Premier League winners?
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    88. Two late changes for Luton.
Pelly Mpanzu is swapped for Jordan Clark and Ryan Giles comes on at left wing back in place of Alfie Doughty.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    87. Really clever play from Barkley again, but Carlton-Morris loses it.
    Arsenal will come again.
They play lovely football around the edge of the box, before Zinchenko dinks a ball into Havertz who should do better with the header – saved by Kaminski.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    84. Arsenal still threatening here.
Saka looks to be almost through, but Kaminski does well to come out and clear.
Luton come forwards with Kabore who tries to beat Zinchenko for pace on the right hand side, and fails miserably.
    Goal kick.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    82. Just over 10 minutes to go here at Kenilworth Road, with Luton clinging onto a point here for now.
They have failed to deliver any goal threat in the past few minutes, as Arsenal are relentlessly coming at them again and again.

    80. A VAR check here, as Saka feels he is fouled driving into the box, but it is not given by the officials.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal

One hands a chance to Leandro Trossard, who wins the second corner with his effort, and then Saka whips one into the middle which is eventually cleared by Luton.

    77. Plenty will be made of Mikel Arteta’s decision to start David Raya in goal over Aaron Ramsdale tonight.
The Spanish stopper (or non-stopper tonight) was out-jumped by Adebayo, who headed home the second goal, before being beaten way too easily by Ross Barkley with a low strike for the third.

    Goal kick for Luton.

    “How many?” He asks…
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    70. Twelve shots to five in Arsenal’s favour so far in this game, but three of Luton’s four shots on target have hit the back of the net.
    Funny old game, this football.
Mikel Arteta cuts a frustrated figure in the dugout.

    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    68. We might finally be seeing the Kai Havertz that Arsenal (and Chelsea) paid all that money for…
He has been in fine form of late.
“Zamina mina, eh eh, waka-waka eh eh! £60 million down the drain, Kai Havertz scores again!”Credit: Getty

    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    66. A double change for Arsenal now, with Martinelli and Kiwior being replaced by Zinchenko and Trossard.
    Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    64. Hardly a moment to breathe here at Kenilworth Road, just the way we like it.
The rule of three is in full force here and we have a triple change for Luton too.
Chiedozie Ogbene, Tahith Chong, and Carlton Morris are on in place of Andros Townsend, Jacob Brown, and Elijah Adebayo.
    GOALLLLL! Luton 3-3 Arsenal
    60. Havertz levels the scoring AGAIN!
It is a long ball over the top to Gabriel Jesus, who does incredibly well to hold off his man and play a ball into Kai Havertz to finish!
    3-3, GAME ON!
    Luton 3-2 Arsenal
    59. This is why they are called the Mad Hatters.
Arsenal had only conceded three goals away from home until they visited Kenilworth Road tonight, and now they have doubled that tally in one night.
You sense the goals are not finished here however…
    GOALLLLL! Luton 3-2 Arsenal
    56. BARKLEY MAKES IT THREE!
    WOW. WOW. WOW.
Excellent play between Barkley and Townsend who combine really well on the edge of the box.

The centre-back was stretched off in pain with his leg in a brace and he is now set to miss the rest of the campaign.
The England international then shared a cryptic Instagram post that made fans fear he would retire.
But instead the 30-year-old showed he is doing fine as he posted a video showing his recovery from a hospital bed to working hard in the gym as he thanked fans for their support.
Mings has now shared another update as well as some more details about his injury on X.
    Read More on Football
The defender initially thought he was dealing with an ACL injury alone but extra tests showed there’s “a little cartilage damage” as well.
Mings accompanied the clip with the following caption: “It’s not pretty but it’s worth it.”
The Villa star said: “After the first video of giving you a little glimpse into what I’ve been up to, this video is a little introduction to the first two weeks after surgery.
“Everything entails from coming to terms with injury, hopefully I will share a little bit of light into the reality of what it looks like from surgery.
    Most read in Football
“Five hours after the injury, I just got home and I’m in a lot of pain. I know from being here before, a few years ago, some days are bad, some days you feel positive, some days you feel sorry for yourself.
“Then the injury was confirmed it was a long-term one, ACL. Originally I thought it was an ACL injury alone but I’ve done a few extra things and without going into details, there’s a little cartilage damage as well.
“It’s a really tough one to wake up to after surgery. I was in excruciating pain, cannot put any weight on my knee, it’s a marathon, not a sprint – it’s just going to take a little longer. A couple of weeks after surgery were up and down, a couple of times I was ill.
“I think one of the things that people always take into consideration is the lack of independence being on crutches. As someone who is very active, having to rely on people is a tough situation to be in.
“Sitting in the background and watching the team on TV fills me with great pride, sometimes a little bit of frustration I’m not playing but it’s all good in the end. A difficult start to the first few weeks of rehab. More insights to come.”
Mings’ clip led to over 4,000 likes from his 274,000 followers all of whom reached out to the popular player.
One fan tweeted: “Swear he means everything to me.”
Another commented: “Well done Ty for sharing something incredibly painful both literally and emotionally. It’s not often we get insights from players about their recovery, not like this.”
A third posted: “Nothing I would’ve loved more than watching Mings play in Europe this season.”
