“We have such a good team in Stuttgart and anything is possible in football. If we continue to be as humble as we have been, then we have a good chance.”
Guirassy is seen as a potential solution to United’s goalscoring issues.
Following his goal against Werder Bremen on Saturday, he has scored the same number of league goals as United, in three fewer matches. More

The Liverpool legend said: “Watching Marcus Rashford last [Saturday] night that was an unacceptable performance for a few reasons and it is not picking on Rashford as I do not think anyone comes out of it with great credit.
“But that lad didn’t play midweek in the Champions League, so there isn’t any little mitigating circumstance of why a player hasn’t been 100 per cent – playing away from home on a Wednesday night in Europe and then you play Saturday and then the travel.
“But I’ve been a local player and it isn’t easy when you are a local player, especially when your team is not doing well. You have to drag the team up with you, because I’m watching Marcus Rashford now and he reminds me of Martial.
“And that’s the worst possible thing you can probably say about him. A foreign player who comes in, hasn’t done the business, doesn’t care really – and that’s a fact with Martial.
“Marcus Rashford is now looking like Anthony Martial. And if your confidence is down, or you’re not scoring goals, or you’re not getting assists, that is not a problem. You do not stop running for that badge, shirt, or those supporters.”

After the match, Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards suggested that City could be experiencing a post-Treble hangover.
But Guardiola was having none of it, later responding: “I have a feeling that if we maintain that level, we’ll win the Premier League. We will win it again.
“He knows how difficult it is otherwise Gary Neville would’ve won four Premier Leagues in the best period of Manchester United.
“But he didn’t do it, you know?

In data collected by SportsBoom.com, six pundits that work for Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Amazon Prime Video or the BBC won more as players than Guardiola.
The first is Manchester United legend Paul Scholes, who won a stunning 26 trophies during his Old Trafford days.
His old pal Neville won 22, including eight Prem titles and the Champions League.
Roy Keane, Thierry Henry, Ally McCoist and Alex Scott all grabbed 20 apiece.
The majority of Keane’s came playing with Man Utd pals Neville and Scholes, although he did add a further two trophies with Celtic north of the border.
Henry won a sack-load with Arsenal before adding the Champions League after his move to Barcelona.
McCoist won all of his trophies while playing for Rangers in Scotland.
While Scott enjoyed three incredibly successful stints at Arsenal, winning the Women’s Champions League in 2007.
Among those to have fallen just short of Guardiola’s tally are Eni Aluko, who won 13 and Owen Hargreaves, who managed 12 despite his injury woes – while Carragher and Karen Carney earned 11 each.
Liverpool legend Carra cheekily responded to Guardiola’s comments.

Marcus Rashford ‘believes he is playing all right and will be at the club longer than Ten Hag’, ex-Man Utd star blasts

He has only two goals and four assists in 18 games this season and was sent off at Copenhagen and subbed off at Newcastle – but Parker believes the England forward cannot admit his performances are simply not up to scratch.
In fact, the former defender feels like Rashford is playing like he knows he will be at United longer than Erik ten Hag, following reports suggesting the Dutchman has lost the dressing room.
Parker told mybettingsites.co.uk: “It’s quite easy to go back to basics. What you do is to embrace the people around you, which are your so-called team-mates.
“But what you have to do is to look in the mirror and believe that you are having a bad time, and I think Rashford believes he is playing all right. He believes he is doing enough.

“He came off the pitch against Newcastle. He should be disappointed, shake his hands with his manager, who should tell him that he supports him in a bad time.
“But I don’t think Rashford believes that he is having a bad time. I think he really thinks that he doesn’t deserve to be subbed off.
“A lot of players don’t realise that it’s a team game. Marcus Rashford can only find his form if he actually looks in the mirror and realises that he is having a bad time.
“He believes that he will be at Man United longer than Erik ten Hag. The manager is the players´ commodity.

£550m Everton takeover could be OFF as US ‘investigates buyers over money laundering allegations’

While 777 Partners have robustly denied all allegations against them, the launch of a formal investigation would allow Premier League chiefs to block the deal on the spot.
New rules, introduced unanimously by the 20 top-flight clubs in March, granted the League “the power to stop” potential club bosses who are “under investigation for conduct that would result in a ‘Disqualifying Event’ if proven”.
Those ‘Disqualifying Events’ now include “violence, corruption, fraud and tax evasion”. It doesn’t augur well.
Farhad Moshiri agreed in September to sell his 94% stake in Everton to 777 Partners.

And the 12-week timeline initially given for that sale is now up.
But before news of the US investigation the Toffees were still confident the deal could be completed by Christmas.
