Jurgen Klopp overtakes Sir Alex Ferguson for most Premier League injury-time winners… but two managers sit higher

JURGEN KLOPP now has more managerial injury-time winners in the Premier League than Sir Alex Ferguson – but he does not lead the way. Sir Alex was famed for snatching last-gasp winners in what was dubbed “Fergie Time”.

He won 16 games with goals coming in the 90th minute later – but Klopp now has one more.
It comes after Harvey Elliot’s 91st minute winner at Crystal Palace, which put Liverpool top of the table.
Jose Mourinho, who managed at Chelsea, United and Tottenham, is fifth with 14 goals coming in added time.
But leading the way is Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger, who proves to be king of the comeback.

He won 21 games with goals coming at the death – but he can still be topped.
That is because West Ham boss David Moyes is one behind and shows no sign of slowing down in his managerial career.
Liverpool came from behind with two goals in the final 15 minute to beat Palace, with super-sub Elliot nicking the winner.
Klopp said: “The subs were super influential and made a super impact.

“That’s actually the story of the season so far, what we bring from the bench.
From the last 14 minutes we deserved it, before then we deserved nothing. The bad thing about the amount of games we play is that it’s really tiring.
“The good thing is they all can play and they have to play, so we can make these kinds of moves like today.
“Because one is the player change and we changed the system. That helped as well. We tried everything and it worked out.” More

It comes as Chelsea struggle for results as they sit 12th in the Premier League table with just five wins from their opening 16 games.
Arsenal shot-stopper Ramsdale, 25, has been benched since the early stages of the new campaign following the arrival of David Raya from Brentford.
The England international has featured in just five of the Gunners’ 16 league matches.
Mikel Arteta is thought to be reluctant to let him leave in the mid-season window as it would leave him with 21-year-old Karl Hein as his back-up keeper.

Al-Ittihad launched a £170million bid for the winger on transfer deadline day, but it was turned down by Liverpool.
The Saudi side then proposed another last-gasp offer worth over £200m, but the Reds refused to budge.
Some reports suggested that Saudi Pro League officials were prepared to try again for the winger in January.
However, director of football Michael Emenalo believes a transfer is unlikely.

He told Sky Sports News: “Mo Salah, like [Lionel] Messi, [Karim] Benzema, [Cristiano] Ronaldo and the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, these are players that when there is a sense of availability for them, we are willing to listen.
“But we also understand that Mo is happy where he is at present and in a historic, wonderful club at Liverpool. We respect that very much and we don’t want to come across as putting any pressure on him.
“But if there is any interest to do something, Mo Salah is a player that you want in your league, in any league.
“We respect Liverpool and in this scenario, the initiative to do anything won’t come from us. There has to be an aligned interest from all parties involved.

“It’s a very personal thing, as a player that I recruited [for Chelsea] and I like. There’s nothing I’m saying that is new or ground-breaking. If Mo Salah is available, has an interest to come and everything is aligned, I would be incredibly delighted.”
Salah has 18 months remaining on his current Liverpool contract.
The winger joined the Reds in 2017 and has since scored 200 goals and provided 87 assists in 327 appearances. More

Johnson joined the club as a kid back in 2009.
