And Andros Townsend held up the captain’s shirt after breaking the deadlock in the first half.
Luton boss Rob Edwards opened up about Lockyer’s horrific collapse earlier this week, admitting that it was the “scariest moment” he has ever experienced.
The 40-year-old said: “It was a really scary moment, I think the scariest moment I’ve ever had, never mind in football.
“It was different to at Wembley. I knew it then, and we certainly know it now with the tests and everything that’s gone on this week.
“We get on with it and the main focus is Tom and his family. We’ll all probably be affected in slightly different ways, deal with it in different ways as well. We’re all individuals, we’re all different so we’ll cope and deal with it differently as well.
“I feel good, I’ve had loads of support. Everyone has been asking how I am as well, which I find difficult as well because I’m not the one going through it. I’m fine. I was emotional on Saturday, it scared me.
“But everyone rallied, the medical guys were incredible in such a scary and pressurised situation with the world watching them. They got every decision bang on. I’m so proud of them, they saved him.
“Our medical guys, Bournemouth’s, the paramedics that were there, they’re real heroes.” More

Man Utd fans love what Willy Kambwala did after Mohammed Kudus’ goal with wonderkid defender their only silver lining

MANCHESTER UNITED fans have praised Willy Kambwala for his classy gesture during United’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham.The 19-year-old defender was thrown in at the deep-end to make his debut after Raphael Varane was ruled out with illness.
Only Kambwala comforted Mainoo after the second goalCredit: X/ @footballontnt

He joined fellow academy product, Kobbie Mainoo in the starting XI.
Mainoo has shone since coming into the team earlier this season but it was his mistake that enabled West Ham to go 2-0 up and seal the game.
The midfielder failed to trap the ball with his studs in front of his defence and his mistake was seized upon by Lucas Paqueta who threaded the ball through to Mohammed Kudus.
The Ghanaian made no mistake with his chance and he celebrated in trademark fashion by sitting unfazed on the advertising hoardings.

Mainoo looked devastated by his mistake and it was only Kambwala that went over to commiserate him.
United fans on X were fuming with what that said about the team’s lack of leadership.
One fan posted: “Only Kambwala went over to check on Mainoo after that clanger – says everything about this United team.”
Another wrote: “Kobbie Mainoo makes a mistake, he’s 18 it happens not gonna get too upset, but only one player goes up and gets his head back up.

“That’s kambwala, in his first game at 19 years old as well. The players don’t care man.”
A third wrote: “Kambwala left to be the one to console Mainoo whilst Bruno has a little sulk. I am shocked.”
While a fourth said: “Soulless absolutley Soulless….The player that went over to Mainoo after his mistake, Kambwala.. Where are the leaders?”
Despite Mainoo’s glaring mistake, the majority of United fans online agreed that he and Kambwala were that standout performers during a day to forget for United.
The 2-0 defeat will only further pile the pressure on ten Hag ahead of Christmas with it being the club’s 13th loss of the season already.

    Hand of Od goes unpunished
Liverpool fans will be wondering how they did not get a penalty in the game this evening.
There is no doubt that Martin Odegaard handled the ball in the box.
Weirdly, the VAR review decided there was nothing doing.
Granted you can see the Norwegian slipped but that does not detract from his stopping the ball with his hand.
The modern game has every football fan scratching their head nowadays, a simple rule complicated by too many cooks spoiling the broth.
You wonder if they use a magic-8 ball in the VAR studio to make some of these decisions.
It could also answer why their decisions take so long as they get ‘ask again’ and ‘maybe’ all too often.
    Frustrating evening for Liverpool manager
While the draw is not the end of the world for Jurgen Klopp, he will be concerned how ineffective his front three were.
Mohamed Salah put in a good performance but Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz were non-existent.
It will be something he will want to address moving forward, wanting to get back to their high-tempo, free-flowing game.
    FT: Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
Declan Rice covered a lot of ground for Arsenal today.
He offered a line of defence in the middle of the park to cut out the incisive play from Liverpool.
With Rice in the centre of the park, it made it far more difficult for Jurgen Klopp’s side to unlock The Gunners.

    FT: Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
The stats show it was quite an evenly matched game.
Both sides huffed and puffed but nothing could separate the two sides.
Man City will be happy with this result however.

    FT: Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
The referee brings the game to a close.
Mikel Arteta will be pleased with this performance.
Liverpool will be left wondering what could have been.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
90+4. If the result stays as we are, Liverpool would move up to second in the league.
Arsenal would then go back to the top of the table.
Aston Villa would drop to third after the results of the weekend.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
90+2. Elliott is shoved to the ground by Zinchenko.
It has all gone a bit quiet at Anfield now.
The hosts have failed to give their fans anything to get excited about in this last fifteen minutes.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    90. Liverpool seem to be either giving the ball away with loose passes or committing unnecessary fouls right now.
Neither will help them create that one chance they want to try and win the game.
It is more in Arsenal’s interest now to hold onto the ball and try and take the point.
They would remain top at Christmas then.
We are going to have five additional minutes.

    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    88. We are into the final moments of the game.
It is anybody’s guess how much added time there will be.
There don’t seem to have been many stoppages but they must be picking out of a hat now to decide how much we will play.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    86. Nketiah turns with the ball and lunges in on Endo.
The Arsenal striker is shown a yellow card for his troubles.
It gives the Liverpool back line a little breather.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    84. Trossard looks to get down to the byline to cross.
Szoboszlai tracks him all the way, blocking at the expense of a corner.
Chance for the visitors to get their big men up for this.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    82. Salah is now playing as the main striker.
He seems less effective in the this position as he was getting some joy out of Zinchenko.
They need to play Nunez down the middle.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    80. Liverpool are just struggling to find that final pass.
The build up play looks good but when they try to unlock this Arsenal team, the attempt just seems to be picked off.
Havertz goes to ground looking for a penalty but the referee is not interested.

    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    78. Nketiah comes on for Jesus for the visitors.
He will play more of a central role rather than the drifting we see all too often from Jesus.
Arsenal must be wondering whether to stick or twist right now.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    76. We are getting to that point of the game where the next goal wins it.
Alexander-Arnold whips in a corner and Nunez heads it over.
Liverpool just hope they get at least one more clear-cut chance to win this game.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    74. That was a massive chance for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Alexander-Arnold really should have buried that.
It may be a miss that Liverpool come to regret.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    72. Saka whips in the corner kick for the visitors.
Gomez heads it clear at the near post for Liverpool.
As The Reds break with real numbers, Salah lays it off to Alexander-Arnold who thumps it against the crossbar.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    70. Arsenal are starting to dominate possession again.
It is all about who wants to gamble more now.
The draw does neither team any favours.
Elliott tries his luck from distance, it deflects off Gabriel and clips the outside of the post.
    Credit: EPA
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    68. Elliott, Gravenberch and Nunez all comes on for Liverpool.
Gakpo, Diaz and Jones make way for the trio.
Big chance now for the subs to make a name for themselves.
For Arsenal, Martinelli makes way for Trossard.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    66. Saka and Diaz have a coming together.
The Liverpool winger comes worse off as he stays on the ground in some pain.
Diaz is receiving some treatment from the physios.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    64. Odegaard is fouled by Endo.
The Liverpool player needs to be careful as he already has a yellow card.
Might be an idea for a substitution for Liverpool with his walking that tightrope.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    62. Arsenal are looking to box Liverpool in once again.
The Reds seem devoid of ideas when the defence have the ball at their feet.
Szoboszlai tries his luck from distance but drags it wide of Raya’s goal.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    60. Gomez is trying to get forward more and more.
When he offers some support down the left, The Gunners struggle.
With half an hour left of the game, it is impossible to pick a winner in this game.
    Credit: PA
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    58. It is such a game of fine margins right now.
So many times Liverpool are a toes length from stealing the ball in the final third.
When Arsenal can play through the press they have numbers and really stretch the hosts.
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
    56. Martinelli has lots of space out on the left but runs into Szoboszlai.
Liverpool look to counter but their passing is still too scrappy and they give the ball away.
Whoever can take a grip of this game and get the next goal could be pivotal. More

German with some big choices to make
Jurgen Klopp will be without Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip, Andrew Robertson, Alexis Mac Allister, Diogo Jota and Ben Doak who all still reside in the Anfield treatment room.
Ryan Gravenberch is expected to return to the squad after having a muscle strain against Man Utd last weekend, after fears he had damaged his hamstring proved to be not the case.
Following their dominant win over West Ham in the Carabao Cup, the Dutchman is likely to be on the bench due to the form of Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai.
    Predicted Arsenal XI
And we reckon Mikel Arteta will stick to his guns for Arsenal’s biggest game of the season yet.

    Predicted Liverpool XI
Here’s how we think Liverpool will line up today…

    Klopp on Anfield atmopshere
Jurgen Klopp has urged Liverpool fans to get behind their team more than ever today…
He said: “I have to say – it’s long ago that I said this – but I thought the first half a little bit, when the boys played really exceptional, I was not overly happy, I have to say, with the atmosphere behind me,” said the German.
“I don’t know. I don’t ask people, what do we want? We changed a lot of things. We dominated West Ham like crazy. We missed chances. And I mean, if I would be in the stand I would be on my toes, 1,000 per cent.
“I don’t know if the Man United game was that bad that we have to say, ‘oh sorry that we didn’t smash them’.
“We need Anfield on Saturday. Without Anfield, I would say – after they (Arsenal) didn’t play this week, they prepare for this game and anyone who knows a little bit about them, they will be prepared.
“So, we need Anfield on their toes from the first second without me having an argument with the opposition coach. We need you from the first second.
“If you really want, if it’s too much football in December, I don’t know. Sorry we have to play it as well. But if you are not in the right shape, give your ticket to somebody else.”

    Welcome to Liverpool vs Arsenal!
Hello and welcome to SunSport’s live coverage of Liverpool vs Arsenal in the Premier League.
Both Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp will be eyeing that Christmas No 1 spot at the top of the table in what should be a serious cracker at Anfield.
Arsenal will remember their 2-2 draw here last year, having led 2-0 with the game in total control to begin with.
That draw ultimately led them into a downturn in form and further draws with West Ham and Southampton ultimately handed the title to Man City.
Tonight they’ll be out for revenge at one of the hardest grounds to get a result in the country.
But Liverpool are coming off the back of their 0-0 draw with Man Utd and they’ll be desperate to get a big result at home.
So sit back and enjoy all the action, we’ll have you covered throughout the evening. More
