But Carvalho’s lack of game time has seen Liverpool cut short his initial one-year loan.
Now according to The Mirror, the winger is open to a return back to Fulham for the rest of the season.
It was in May 2022 that he left the West Londoners to sign for Liverpool, where he has three goals in his 21 games.
Anfield bosses want Carvalho to finish the rest of the season on loan to continue his development.

And it is claimed the player is open to a Fulham return himself.
But Craven Cottage boss Marco Silva was quick to distance himself from a move when recently asked.
Silva said: “It’s not for me to talk about it. Liverpool bought him, that’s for Jurgen and Liverpool to talk about.”
Elsewhere, former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has also linked with a return to the Premier League.

Luke Littler celebrates Raymond van Barneveld win by taking in Tottenham clash as England star’s special guest

DARTS sensation Luke Littler underlined his newfound celebrity status by watching Tottenham as a guest of England star James Maddison. The youngest ever World Championship quarter-finalist, 16, recreated a little of the buzz he’s made at the Ally Pally as fans spotted him during Sunday’s home clash with Bournemouth.

Viewers were quick to point out the Warrington wonderboy is a Manchester United fan.
But his relaxed look showed his mind was more on his own remarkable achievement the previous day than the Red Devils’ latest misfortune.
Soon after United slumped 2-1 at Nottingham Forest, Little crushed his idol and four-time world title winner Raymond van Barneveld 4-1.
And while Barney took defeat like a “gentleman” his fellow Dutchman Erik ten Hag is under far more strain – with his Red Devils’ boss job reportedly under threat.

Littler is racking up nicknames faster than shot-shy United score goals – with Luke the Nuke and the Kebab Kid two of the newest as he soars to second favourite for the PDC crown behind Michael van Gerwen.
Arsenal’s England aces Aaron Ramsdale and Declan Rice posed with him before last Thursday’s shock 2-0 home loss against West Ham.
And there was an excited murmur when Littler was spotted by Sky Sports cameras as well as supporters at Tottenham on New Year’s Eve.
Fans online joked he could be turned off United and onto Spurs.

When some pointed out he was not a Spurs supporter, they attracted comments like: “He will be” and “he will now”.
Tottenham YouTuber Chris Cowlin grabbed a selfie “with the man of the moment Luke Littler”.
But after sharing the snap Cowlin himself added: “I’ve been told – he DOESN’T support Spurs. He is James Maddison’s guest.”
Littler saw Pape Matar Sarr drill Tottenham in front early on.
But the Londoners will enter 2024 in fifth place whatever the result against the Cherries.
In contrast, Littler’s life could change spectacularly in the next few days – as he eyes the world title and a £500,000 jackpot.
After beating Barney he said: “I fancy myself. I do fancy myself.
“Barney said to me at the end, ‘you can go all the way. I hope you go all the way’. I said: ‘Thank you’. He is a true gentlemen.” More

Bungling Chelsea spent £2.03million EVERY DAY on transfers in 2023 – only to go backwards in Premier League

THE STAGGERING cost of Chelsea’s transfer spend over the past 12 months has been revealed – but things have only got worse on the pitch.Todd Boehly and Clearlake have forked out over £1BILLION on new additions since they took over the West London club in 2022.
Todd Boehly forked out a mega £755.6m on transfer fees over the past 12 monthsCredit: Richard Pelham / The Sun
Despite transfers costing the club £2.03m EACH DAY in 2023 things have got worse under Mauricio PochettinoCredit: Alamy
That output failed to make any sort of impact at the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
Chelsea started 2023 sitting ninth in the Premier League table under Graham Potter.
And they had amassed a tally of 24 points from their opening 15 matches – that gave them an average of 1.6 points per game.
That led to another splurge last January, with Mykhailo Mudryk signed in a deal that could reach £88m and Enzo Fernandez arriving for a potential total of £110m the two biggest recruits.
    READ MORE ON CHELSEA
But things did not get much better for the Blues as Potter was eventually axed, and after Frank Lampard returned as interim, they eventually ended the season in 12th.
That was their worst Premier League finish since 1993-94, which made it their worse ever in a 38-game season.
However, the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as boss in the summer and a host of other new additions brought renewed optimism.
There was £173m spent alone on midfielders Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, signed for £115m and £58m respectively, while big-money was dished out in attack.

Christopher Nkunku joined for £56m while Nicolas Jackson cost £30m, but the strikers have only produced ten goals in all competitions between them.
Cole Palmer, who will potentially cost a total of £42.5m, has argubarly made the biggest impact since he signed from Manchester City.
The 21-year-old attacker has scored ten – including a brace in yesterday’s 2-1 win at Luton Town.
But despite ending 2023 with three points, Chelsea are actually doing WORSE with regards to their position in the Premier League than they were 12 months ago.
Poch’s side go into 2024 in tenth place – one place lower than this time last year – with 28 points from 20 matches.
That gives them an average of only 1.4 points per game so far.
Not by any stretch does that make good reading for Boehly after he spent what could turn out to be £755.6m in total on new signings since January 1.
And he will be expecting a huge upturn in results after their huge transfer outlay ending up costing Chelsea £2.03m EVERY DAY throughout the past 365 days.
CHELSEA’S 2023 TRANSFER OUTLAYHere’s how Chelsea splashed the cash over the past 12 months:
January window (including loan fees and add-ons) – £329.9m
    David Datro Fofana (£10.5m)
    Andrey Santos (£11m)
    Benoit Badiashile (£35m)
    Joao Felix (£9.7m loan fee)
Mykhailo Mudryk (£62m initial, £88m total)
    Noni Madueke (£35m)
Malo Gusto (£26.3m initial, £30.7m total)

He began to cry as he was brought off as the injury could end his Africa Cup of Nations dream before the tournament even gets underway.
Sarr has won 18 caps for Senegal and was set to feature for the Lions in Cote d’Ivoire next month.
But he could spend weeks out on the treatment table after appearing to pick up a muscle injury.
Spurs captain Son Heung-min consoled Sarr with the midfielder burying his face in his own shirt and Son’s shoulder.
Rodrigo Bentancur, who has been plagued by injury for much of 2023, helped Sarr off the pitch.
The midfielder opened the scoring with a fine strike from outside the box, fizzing a low shot past Neto into the bottom corner.
It is only his second goal for Tottenham since becoming a first-team regular under Ange Postecoglou this season.
Afcon gets underway on January 13 so Sarr faces a race against time to be fit.

Full time – Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
It’s all over! A huge result for Fulham – and an even bigger one for Arsenal as far as their season is concerned.
The Gunners miss the opportunity to go top of the Premier League despite leading inside five minutes at Craven Cottage.
However, goals from Raul Jimenez and Bobby Decordova-Reid turned the game around, and the Cottagers defiantly saw out any Arsenal response in the pouring rain with courage and charisma.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
90+4. Arsenal win back-to-back corners, but towering headers from Tosin and Diop relieve the pressure.
The ball comes back to Trossard on the right, but his deep cross is so deep that it soars over Bernd Leno and out for a goalkick.
That could be the end of the road for the Gunners.
Fulham 2-1 Arsenal – Jimenez yellow card
90+2 . It’s not often you see a player yellow carded for being pushed over but it’s just happened to Raul Jimenez.
Admittedly, he was trying to thump a dead ball into the Hammersmith End to waste time.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    90. Arsenal will have five minutes of stoppage time if they are to rescue something.
These Fulham players have been magnificent though, and deserve all three points.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    88. Pereira curls the free-kick over the wall…
    …and on to the crossbar!
Fulham so, so close to sealing victory.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    87. Saliba brings down Wilson as he races through on goal… is this going to be a red card?! No, it’s only yellow.
The Fulham players and boss Marco Silva are absolutely furious, and feel the Arsenal defender denied a goalscoring opportunity.
Saliba perhaps was helped by the fact that Gabriel was rushing back to support his partner.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    85. Fulham are looking the more likely to add to the score on the break.
Arsenal just look out of ideas.
Can they salvage something here? Can they salvage their season?
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    83. Saka has a sight of goal, but just as he’s about to fire past Leno, Palhinha arrives with a superb thumping challenge.
The Portuguese boss lifts himself up from the turf and lets out a celebratory roar and fist pump.
Fulham 2-1 Arsenal – Fulham double substitution
    81. A double change from the Cottagers brings Harry Wilson – on for his 100th Fulham appearance – and Issa Diop into the game.
Willian and Bobby Decordova-Reid make way.
It will mean a three at the back for Marco Silva’s team in the final stages.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    79. A defensive header from Castagne brings Arsenal their first corner of the game, but it’s defended well by the home side.
The Fulham defence are less convincing moments later when a cross from the left travels through everyone, only to evade Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel at the back stick.
Fulham 2-1 Arsenal – Bassey yellow card
    78. Calvin Bassey – sent off for two bookable offences at Arsenal – is yellow carded against the Gunners again.
And just like his first at the Emirates, it’s for supposed time-wasting.
Back in August, he was booked for delaying a goalkick despite Saka still being inside the penalty area.
Fulham 2-1 Arsenal – Arsenal substitution
    77. Another throw of the dice from Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners haven’t found much width this afternoon, but maybe Reiss Nelson can change that. He replaces Kai Havertz.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    75. Tom Cairney continues to play a captain’s role for Fulham, keeping possession, making space and bringing others into the game.
    Just a really lovely footballer.
The torrential rain has absolutely flattened his quiff, mind.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    73. As it stands, Arsenal sit fourth in the Premier League with Tottenham – currently 1-0 up against Bournemouth – breaking down their necks.
Two goals would change it all though, and the Gunners would be back at the summit.
Fulham 2-1 Arsenal – Fulham substitution
    71. The heavens have opened in south-west London and the rain is hammering it down now. It’s really windy too. We could be in for a chaotic end of this contest.
Meanwhile, Marco Silva makes his first change, bringing on Andreas Pereira for Alex Iwobi, who departs to warm applause from both sets of fans.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    69. Fulham aren’t done attacking despite the arrival of Arsenal reinforcements.
Raul Jimenez attempts a ridiculous 20-yard rabona (and clatters into Tomiyasu), but following up Cairney lets fly with an effort that forces Raya into a diving push away.
Fulham 2-1 Arsenal – Arsenal double substitution
    67. Odegaard whips the free-kick up over the wall…
    …and the crossbar.
That’s the cue for Mikel Arteta to make two further changes, introducing Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard.
Off go Gabriel Martinelli and Ben White so it’s a rare opportunity for Jesus and Nketiah to play together.
Fulham 2-1 Arsenal – Cairney yellow card
    65. The first booking of the game goes to Fulham captain Tom Cairney, who is late in his attempt to stop a spinning Saka.
It’s a free-kick to Arsenal about 25 yards from goal. Odegaard stands over it.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    63. A chance for an immediate response!
Robinson and Tosin make heavy work of dealing with Martinelli’s cross from the left, allowing it to drift through to an unmarked Saka at the far post.
The Arsenal forward has to take it on the volley, but gets his connection all wrong, sending it high over the crossbar.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    61. Arsenal have less than half hour to rescue this one if they are to bring in the new year at the top of the Premier League.
On the touchline, Mikel Arteta looks concerned.
    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    59. Fulham have come from behind to lead at Craven Cottage!
But if the equaliser was stylish, their second is an absolute mess.
Willian’s outswinging corner from the right is met by Palhinha’s header into the back of Declan Rice.
The ball diverts towards Gabriel, whose attempted clearance hits Takehiro Tomiyasu and falls for Bobby Decordova-Reid to crash into the roof of the net from eight yards.
    Fulham in front!

    Fulham 1-1 Arsenal

    58. Fulham are having their best spell of pressure in the second period.
A couple of crosses have had the visiting defence in trouble, and it brings the hosts successive corners.
    Fulham 1-1 Arsenal
    56. Excellent defending from Saliba cuts out a Palhinha through ball that would have had Jimenez through on goal.
    Fulham 1-1 Arsenal
    54. Arsenal are moving steadily into Fulham’s final third.
But while they were breaking records for touches in the penalty area without scoring on Thursday, they are struggling to get into the home side’s box today.
It makes you wonder how long it will be before we see Gabriel Jesus. More
