The football fan rowed with Howe before shoving him in the arm during the injury time attack.
He was then dragged away by staff at the Leeds ground as the drama was watched by thousands on BT Sport.
After he was arrested, Derbyshire told cops: “I went on the pitch, I went on the pitch, I am a d**k.”
He has now been jailed for 12 weeks and slapped with a six-year football banning order.
Leeds Magistrates’ Court was previously told Derbyshire has been served with a lifetime ban from Elland Road.
Following the assault, Howe said: “He confronted me, said something that I can’t repeat and was then led away.
“I’m OK. Moments like that do make you think about the safety of staff and players is paramount for me at any matches in the Premier League and Football League. We need to be mindful, security is so important.
“I don’t know if I had time to be fearful because it was over in a flash but it certainly makes you think ‘what if’ and I think it is moments like this that should make people look and analyse how we can improve safety for staff and players.

“No one should have to face that, playing a sport we love and trying to entertain the country, no one should feel like their own personal safety is violated. It is something for us to reflect on.”

Man Utd star Antony accused by two more women of physical violence as cops probe ex-girlfriend’s ‘abuse’ claims

MANCHESTER United star Antony has been hit by fresh accusations of assault by two more women. It comes after the £85million winger issued a statement strongly denying the “false allegations” of assault made by his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin.

Law student Rayssa de Freitas and banker Ingrid Lana have now also accused the World Cup ace of physical attacks, Brazilian outlets Jornal Extra and Record report.
A police report from May 2022 by Rayssa, which has been made public, describes alleged violent behaviour from the Man United player and internet personality Mallu Ohana.
Rayssa describes an alleged incident when she and Mallu –  Brazil player Dudu’s ex-wife – got into the backseat of Antony’s Land Rover after a night out in São Paulo, Brazil.
She claimed Antony was behind the wheel, and his hairdresser Rafa Contes, was also in the car.

The influencer reportedly told cops in Brazil that she ended up falling out with Mallu because she didn’t want to “continue the fun” with the rest of them.
Rayssa claimed the argument turned violent and she was attacked by Mallu and Antony.
She alleged she opened the car’s back door and fled after Antony stopped at a traffic light.
The police report claimed that a motorcyclist driving behind the Land Rover reportedly witnessed the alleged attack and wrote down Antony’s licence plate.

As soon as Rayssa got out of the car, the motorcyclist claimed Antony sped off to an unknown destination.
The law student was then hospitalised, the Brazilian newspaper reports.
Ingrid Lana is the third alleged victim to come forward against the Premier League ace.
The 33-year-old banker has accused Antony of physical violence in an interview with Record, set to be aired on Sunday.
“He tried having [sexual] relations with me, but pushed me against a wall when I refused, and I hit my head,” Ingrid alleged to Record.
Ingrid claims the alleged attack took place at Antony’s home in Manchester last October.
In the unseen interview, the banker claims she never had a relationship with Antony but found his behaviour “strange”.
“I was there strictly for business. He invited me and upon my arrival I discovered he had second intentions. I was never anyone’s mistress,” Ingrid said.
Following the latest accusations, Antony’s representatives issued another statement blasting the allegation as “unfounded”.
The statement, issued to news outlet F5, reads: “The player Antony Matheus dos Santos has been the target of unfounded accusations made by his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin.
“Antony, through his defenders, has been closely following the police investigations within the scope of the ongoing inquiry at the 5th Police Station for the Defense of Women and trusts in the seriousness of the work of the police authority.
“The investigation is being carried out in judicial secrecy, with no further comments on its content.
“In respect for the principle of presumption of innocence, sober, impartial, cautious and professional treatment is expected from the media and the Civil Police, Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Judiciary act with impartiality and with respect for the right to defence.
“Antony will remain at the disposal of the police authorities, trusting that, in the end, the truth will prevail with the recognition of his innocence.”
The fresh accusations come hours after Man United strongly denied claims it covered up Antony’s assault allegations by Gabriela Cavallin.
Sao Paulo Civil Police are investigating the allegations of assault alongside Greater Manchester Police.
Cavallin accused the Brazilian star, who has been axed from the national squad, of physical aggression towards her on a number of occasions in bombshell claims.
But the Old Trafford outfit described any suggestion of a cover-up as “categorically false” on Wednesday.
A Manchester United spokesman told The Sun Online: “Any suggestion that the club covered-up these allegations is categorically false.”
On Monday, amid further claims, Antony said he “trusts ongoing police investigations” to reveal the “truth about my innocence”.
The star volunteered himself for interview in June.
Meanwhile, United has also said it will co-operate with any police inquiries.
Cavallin says she dated Brazil World Cup ace Antony, on and off for two years and lived with him in Amsterdam while he played for Ajax.
A total of four alleged attacks are described in a police report seen by respected sports news site ESPN.
One of these claims allegedly occurred at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Manchester on January 15.
Cavallin claims United dispatched a senior player support officer to the hotel that night.
But according to Brazilian media, United confirmed a member of staff arranged for a private doctor to visit Cavallin at Antony’s request.
However, the club denied that she was treated by any of the club’s medical staff.
Reports in Brazil said Utd made a statement: “It’s understood to be common for United’s welfare team to arrange for doctors to see partners and family members of players.

“The club insist that it was not aware of any of the allegations of assault against Antony until they appeared in the Brazilian media in June.”
United has been advised to proceed cautiously on the basis that police investigations are ongoing in both the UK and Brazil.

Man Utd are in centre of another domestic violence storm with Antony’s police probe the latest headache for club

MANCHESTER UNITED could have been forgiven for breathing a sigh of relief just before 11pm on Friday. That was the time when Mason Greenwood’s loan move to Spanish club Getafe was confirmed.

And while he remains on the Old Trafford payroll, the young forward is somebody else’s problem — for the next few months at least.
Yet there was little time for anyone at United to get too comfortable.
Because another major headache was lurking just around the corner — as often seems to be the case with this club.
Some United supporters might have thought the 3-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Arsenal on Sunday was bad enough.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
Then it was compounded by a public ding dong between boss Erik ten Hag and £73million England man Jadon Sancho over his omission from the squad.
Yet as it turned out, that was nothing.
Just hours later, it got worse still as United found themselves at the centre of another domestic violence storm.
On Monday, it emerged that Brazil winger Antony was being investigated by police in both Manchester and Sao Paulo.

His former partner, Gabriela Cavallin, first made accusations against him in June — but has now published new ones in her homeland.
She claims the 23-year-old had threatened her while she was pregnant, damaged her breast implant, cut her finger with a glass and threatened to throw her out of a speeding car.
Meanwhile, the former Ajax star released a statement on his social media later that day strongly refuting the latest accusations.
Antony acknowledged that the relationship had been “tumultuous” with many verbal rows — but said suggestions of physical aggression were not true.
Despite his confidence the police investigations would reveal he was innocent, he found himself dropped by his national team for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru.
In the following 24 hours there were growing calls from domestic violence charities for United to take action themselves.
One of those came from Countdown presenter and long-standing Red Devils fan Rachel Riley — who had also spoken out strongly about her club’s handling of Greenwood.
She described the alleged incidents as ‘heinous’ and called for domestic abuse experts to be involved in any decision-making at the club.
Meanwhile, Andrea Simon, director of the End Violence Against Women Coalition told United ‘the world is watching’ how they handled the situation.
The club finally released a statement yesterday morning and insisted they are taking the matter seriously.
But they are waiting for the police investigations on both sides of the Atlantic to be concluded before they decide on a course of action.
At the moment, the only evidence out there comes from Cavallin — and her version of events has been strongly rebuffed by Antony.
Currently there is no internal probe being carried out and the feeling at United is that he is innocent until proven guilty.
But United sources say they have learnt lessons from the criticism they got over their handling of the Greenwood case.
They have also taken external advice from the PFA and Women’s Aid — and have pledged to co- operate fully with police enquiries.
Greenwood was only suspended by the club following his arrest in January last year — and, as yet, Antony has not been charged with anything.
So as things stand, the club have resisted calls to suspend the Brazil winger and — in theory at least — he will be available for selection when Ten Hag’s men return to action in nine days.
    Read More on The Sun
The hope will be that he is cleared of any wrongdoing in the meantime and be ready to face Brighton at Old Trafford.
Yet it remains to be seen how being at the centre of such damaging allegations will affect a player who has struggled to justify his huge price-tag since he arrived in Manchester last summer. More

Echoing his first statement published in June, Antony added that his relationship with Gabriela was “tumultuous” but claims it never resulted in violence.
“I trust that ongoing police investigations will demonstrate the truth about my innocence,” he wrote on Instagram.
In the latest instalment of harrowing WhatsApp texts, Gabriela revealed more allegedly violent altercations with the Premier League ace.
“He pulled my hair, hit my head on the car window, pushed me,” Gabriela told reputable Brazilian news outlet G1.

A first screenshot dated January 15 allegedly shows Antony reportedly asking to end the relationship, followed by Gabriela’s reply saying he allegedly “completely injured” her.
“But you completely injured me and said those things, broke my stuff,” Gabriela wrote.
“Nobody can change or do anything after what happened but it seems like you don’t even care.”
The texts go on to show Antony’s alleged reply, reading: “There’s also stuff that really hurt me, you know?

“Because I want you to stay close so we can start over and carry on with the good things we have together
“I also told you nice things in person and I apologised for everything.
“I’m regretful since my first mistake with you.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United today broke its silence with a statement saying it was “taking this matter seriously”.
The club has come under growing pressure following its bungled U-turn over reinstating Mason Greenwood to the squad.
Until today it had not publicly acknowledged the allegations facing Antony, who was axed from Brazil’s national squad ahead of this month’s two World Cup qualifiers.
Rachel Riley was one of the main figures to blast United after previously taking a stand against the club over Greenwood.
The Countdown presenter, 37, called for domestic abuse experts to be involved in Man United’s “club processes”.
Rachel’s intervention comes after she was also outspoken against United reintegrating Greenwood into the squad before his move to Getafe.
She claimed that the club were “green-lighting abuse” with their apparent support for the player – and vowed to stop supporting the Red Devils if they allowed the forward to return.
The Countdown co-host and Man United fan also reacted to the allegations against Antony after his ex shared new texts and pictures apparently detailing her claims.
It comes after cops in Sao Paulo and Manchester have launched inquiries into Antony’s allegations.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed on Monday night they are “aware” of accusations against Antony, 23.
Antony’s current girlfriend and mother of his child, Rosilene Silva, was also spotted leaving their Cheshire home with a single suitcase just hours after the winger was dropped by his home country team.
Gabriela Cavallin says she dated the World Cup star on and off for two years and lived with him in Amsterdam while he played for Ajax.

Gabriela also claims the first assault came at a nightclub in São Paulo last July when she was around 17 weeks pregnant with his baby.
The Sun Online has approached Manchester United, Antony’s representatives and Gabriela Cavallin’s lawyers for comment.

She shared a string of shocking text messages which she claims Antony sent, showing a vile spew of hatred she regularly received.
He allegedly told Gabriela that he “hopes she dies” and branded her “disgusting” and “deceitful” after she ignored his calls and texts.
The DJ and influencer also went public with pictures of her injuries while revealing horror details of the alleged attacks she suffered.
She claimed Antony punched and headbutted her, as well as threatening to crash their car after she tried to end their relationship.

Gabriela alleged that her finger was also cut to the bone and that the footballer attacked her while she was pregnant.
A total of four alleged attacks are described in a police report seen by respected sports news site ESPN.
Antony has denied assaulting Gabriela Cavallin and vowed to clear his name after being quizzed by cops in Brazil.
He added that his relationship with Gabriela was “tumultuous” but claims it never resulted in violence.

The star has been axed from the national squad and replaced by Gabriel Jesus ahead of this month’s two World Cup qualifiers.
Gabriela has now shared further harrowing details of the alleged abuse in an interview with Brazilian media outlet UOL, one of the South American country’s largest news providers.
    BREAST IMPLANT
Gabriela claims that she was forced to undergo surgery to fix her silicone breast implants after Antony attacked her in January.
She alleged that the “jealous” star erupted in anger during an argument about one of her former flames from “years ago”.
The DJ explained: “He was very jealous of famous people I had already been with. It doesn’t matter if it was ten years ago or yesterday.
“He didn’t have this notion of time and space, it seems.”
Antony is alleged to have punched her in the chest, causing her breast implant to “turn over” and dangerously displacing it.
Gabriela claims the Brazil World Cup ace also cut her head after his watch collided with it as he wrestled with her.
She said she was forced to fly back to Brazil for an operation to change her implants and remedy the issue in wake of the incident.
The 23-year-old claimed Antony insisted he “didn’t mean to hurt her” and that her injury was caused “by accident.”
    NEYMAR ROW
The same month, the former couple are alleged to have had an explosive row over fellow Brazilian footballer Neymar.
Gabriela claims that Antony accused her of liking the Paris Saint-Germain star’s photos on social media, which she denied.
She explained that she had actually liked a number of posts that Neymar’s pal and her “mutual friend” Gil Cebola had shared online.
The Brazilian beauty said: “I didn’t like photos of Neymar. Gil posted a photo with Neymar and a few other people, and I liked it.
“That was four years ago. I didn’t even know Antony existed at that time. But Antony kept looking, you know?
“He would go on people’s Instagram and look for old photos to see if I had liked them. If I had commented.
“After I met Antony, I never liked anyone’s photo again. I didn’t even speak to anyone, neither Gil nor Neymar. Anything.”
    SMASHED UP HOUSE
The DJ, who has been separated from Antony since May, says she decided to put an end to the relationship after one of the most violent episodes she says she has faced.
After a fight at home, Antony allegedly threw a glass at her, seriously injuring the fingers of her hand, while hurling threats and insults.
Gabriela claims she was scared for her life after her ex began smashing up items, locked the door to their home and refused to let her leave.
She said: “He broke all my things. He took my passport. His mother and stepfather even trapped him inside the football court in the living room, surrounded by a fence, as if it were a fence.
“He was upset, trying to get out of the court in any way, throwing a football at me. Playing cell phones on me.
“He said he was going to kill me, that I had destroyed his life. After that day, I said ‘enough’.”
Gabriela said that Antony’s “wonderful” physiotherapist managed to convince the footie star to let her leave and go to the hospital.
The influencer, who has nearly 500,000 Instagram followers, says she has been unable to get surgery to fix her fingers due to the ongoing legal proceedings in Brazil and the UK.
    VIOLENT THREATS
Gabriela explained she discovered she was carrying Antony’s child in May last year, two months before the alleged abuse began.
She claims the Man U winger first attacked her at a nightclub in São Paulo last July, when she was around 17 weeks pregnant with his baby.
Antony allegedly dragged her out by the arm and hair then pushed her into a car after she ended their romance.
After being shunted into the vehicle, she claims he “tried to crash the car” and threatened to kill himself if she left him.
“He said things like that, if I weren’t going to be with him, I wouldn’t be with anyone, that I was pregnant with his child,” Gabriela said.
She claimed he was speeding down a motorway in the rain at a whopping 124mph, while she pleaded with him to slow down.
Antony is said to have eventually stopped the vehicle before running off into the night, with Gabriela and a pal chasing after him.
“We found him lying on the sidewalk, crying. Too crazy. One minute he was crying, one minute he was hitting me,” she alleged.
Gabriella said she woke the next day to find she was excessively bleeding and spent three days in hospital as a result.
Antony allegedly told her that “it wasn’t him, that it was a moment of anger, that he himself got it into his head that he hadn’t done it.”
She continued: “I said: ‘But did you try to crash the car?’.
“Then he said: ‘It’s not like I was going to crash the car, I just moved the steering wheel a little’.
“I said, ‘You slapped me. Him: I didn’t slap you, I went to hold you, what did you do?'”
Gabriela says she felt “obligated” to forgive him as she feared he would hurt himself and because she “didn’t want to be alone” during her pregnancy.
In July, Gabriela shared on social media that she had suffered a miscarriage. The baby boy would have been named Luca Mateo.
    ABUSE WORSENED
Following his transfer from Ajax to the Red Devils, Antony’s alleged violent outbursts are alleged to have worsened.
Gabriela claims despite moving from Amsterdam to Manchester for a fresh start, the 23-year-old became “more aggressive and impatient”.
She believes Antony was crumbling under the pressure of the club’s high expectations, prompting him to start “really stupid fights, sometimes for no reason”.
The DJ said: “I believe it was due to problems he had at his new club [Manchester United].
“He wasn’t delivering as much as people were expecting from him. He didn’t talk much, he didn’t express what he was feeling, you know?
“The attacks were external. Objects, things from home, room, and after a while, in February, it started to be me.”

Gabriela claimed he was triggered by her moving to another room to take a phone call, if “someone liked her photo”, or if she simply went to the bathroom alone.
“If I went to a party with him, greeted someone, he wanted to hit me. I couldn’t go out without him anymore,” she alleged.

The Brazilian beauty’s mysterious exit fuels potential rumours that things in the Man Utd star’s home might not be sailing smooth.
The past couple of days have been quite the whirlwind for the £85million winger as he strongly denies assaulting ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin.
The DJ and influencer says she dated the World Cup star on and off for two years and lived with him in Amsterdam while he played for Ajax.
Gabriela claims the first assault came at a nightclub in São Paulo last July when she was around 17 weeks pregnant with his baby.

On Monday evening, Gabriela, who has nearly 500,000 Instagram followers, published a letter issued by her legal team.
It read: “Gabriela Cavallin’s defence, in view of the facts and evidence that became public knowledge on this date, regarding the repeated episodes of aggression suffered by her, informs that she trusts the serious and competent investigation by the Civil Police of São Paulo.
“[And] hopes that, as such, once completed, the aggressor will be prosecuted and punished for the crimes he committed.”
A statement from Antony was also published in the same evening, where he said he felt “obliged” to break his silence “out of respect for my fans, friends and family”.
    Most read in Football
The 23-year-old footballer once again denied the accusations of domestic violence after a first statement published in June.
“Out of respect for my fans, friends and family, I feel obliged to speak out publicly about the false accusations that I have been a victim of,” he wrote.
“From the beginning, I have treated this matter with seriousness and respect, providing the necessary clarifications to the police.
“The investigation is under judicial secrecy, and therefore I cannot make its contents public.
“However, I can calmly say that the accusations are false, and that the current evidence and the ones yet to be produced demonstrate my innocence.
He added that his relationship with Gabriela was “tumultuous” but claims it never resulted in violence.
“My relationship with Mrs. Gabriela was tumultuous, with verbal insults from both sides, but I never committed any physical aggression,” he explained.
“Each time, whether in testimony or in an interview, she presents a different version of the accusations.
“Therefore, I come to vehemently deny the accusations made and inform you that I remain at the entire disposal of the Brazilian authorities to clarify anything.
“I trust that ongoing police investigations will demonstrate the truth about my innocence.”
The online statement war comes after Gabriela shared a new string of text messages and pictures of her injuries as cops in Brazil carry on with the domestic violence probe.
Cavallin’s fresh claims were first published by Brazilian media outlet UOL, one of the South American country’s largest news providers.
Gabriela also shared two new images showing injuries on her head and fingers, claiming to be a result of Antony’s alleged attacks.
She alleges her finger was cut to the bone and that the footballer attacked her while she was pregnant.
In the new string of undated WhatsApp messages, the DJ and influencer claims Antony wished she was dead and told her “go f**k yourself” after she allegedly refused to reply to his messages and calls.
The Premier League ace was also axed from the Brazil national squad and replaced by Gabriel Jesus ahead of this month’s two World Cup qualifiers.
In a statement, the Brazilian FA (CBF) informed that the cut occurred “due to the facts that became public this Monday and that need to be investigated, and in order to preserve the alleged victim.”
GMP said in a statement on Monday on Antony: “Greater Manchester Police is aware of the allegations made and enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this report.

Man Utd fan Rachel Riley blasts ‘heinous’ Antony abuse allegations after taking stand against club over Mason Greenwood

MANCHESTER United fan Rachel Riley has blasted Antony over domestic violence allegations after previously taking a stand against the club over Mason Greenwood. The presenter, 37, called for domestic abuse experts to be involved in Man United’s “club processes” as the £85million winger denies assaulting ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin.

Rachel’s intervention comes after she was also outspoken against United reintegrating Greenwood into the squad before his move to Getafe.
She claimed that the club were “green-lighting abuse” with their apparent support for the player – and vowed to stop supporting Man Utd if they allowed the forward to return.
The Countdown co-host and Man United fan has now reacted to the allegations against Antony after his ex shared new texts and pictures apparently detailing her claims.
The star has been dropped by the Brazil national team, and is facing police probes in his home country and in the UK.

Antony denies all allegations and has vowed to clear his name.
Cavallin alleges she was verbally and physically abused by the footballer, claiming he left her with a sliced finger and attacked her while she was pregnant.
“Is anyone doing any due diligence on these players?” Riley wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Heinous stuff described in these accusations.”

“This time domestic abuse experts need to be involved in the club’s processes.”
A spokesman for Manchester United said the club does not have any comment.
GMP said in a statement on Monday on Antony: “Greater Manchester Police is aware of the allegations made and enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this report.
“We will not be commenting any further at this time.”
On Monday, Gabriela hit back with a formal letter on Instagram as cops carry on an investigation in her native São Paulo, Brazil.
The influencer and DJ’s statement comes after Antony released his own lengthy statement on Instagram, admitting he had a “tumultuous” relationship with Gabriela.
She says she dated the World Cup ace on and off for two years and lived with him in Amsterdam while he played for Ajax.
The 23-year-old claims the first assault came at a nightclub in São Paulo last July when she was around 17 weeks pregnant with his baby.
Gabriela, who has nearly 500,000 Instagram followers, published a letter issued by her legal team.
A statement from Antony was published just hours later, where he said he felt “obliged” to break his silence “out of respect for my fans, friends and family”.
The 23-year-old footballer once again denied the accusations of domestic violence – echoing his first statement published in June.
In the new string of undated WhatsApp messages, the DJ and influencer claims Antony wished she was dead and told her “go f*** yourself” after she allegedly refused to reply to his messages and calls.

Real reason Arsenal fan Scott Law ‘headbutted’ Roy Keane investigated after ‘attack’ left blood on stadium floor

THE real reason Arsenal fan Scott Law allegedly headbutted Roy Keane is being investigated – after the reported attack left blood on the stadium floor.Law broke his nose clashing with Sky Sports pundit Keane, The Sun revealed yesterday.

Arsenal fan Scott Law broke his nose headbutting Keane
    Law was bailed last night
Now it is alleged that Law was fuming after Keane cheered from the punditry studio when United briefly went ahead through Alejandro Garnacho’s 88th minute strike – before it was disallowed for offside.
Law, 42, was arrested and last night bailed – while Keane was seen today with his face showing no sign of any injuries.
Witnesses claim Law confronted Keane after Sunday’s Premier League match before launching a bungled headbutt which hit him in the shoulder.
The impact apparently broke Law’s nose, with hardman Keane unhurt but “a bit shaken”.

Witnesses claimed blood was left splattered on the ground of the West Stand of the Gunners’ Emirates Stadium.
Pals of Law, a £2,500 hospitality season ticket holder, say Keane hurled abuse at fans below.
It is claimed Keane was then set upon as he made his way pitchside for analysis of Arsenal’s 3-1 victory.
Video shared on social media yesterday showed fellow Sky pundit Micah Richards separating Law from Keane.

Keane was heard asking for stewards to call police before Law left the scene.
Arsenal officials are understood to have worked out his identity from electronic ticket purchases and handed cops his name and address.
Law, of Waltham Abbey, Essex, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of ABH.
He is understood to have been bailed after spending a few hours in custody.
A source alleged: “Keane was giving it to the Arsenal fans when United scored, and it wound some up. He seemed to be provoking them.
“Scott went to the concourse, saw him and headbutted him but he only hit his shoulder and did more damage to himself.
“He broke his nose and Keane didn’t seem to be hurt at all, just a bit shaken up.”
    ‘SHAKEN’
Another fan who witnessed the incident said: “The fan seemingly tried to headbutt Roy Keane.
“Micah Richards stepped in and pushed the fan back against the door. I heard the altercation and I was shocked to see the individuals involved.”
Sources said former Republic of Ireland midfielder Keane and ex-Man City defender Richards, 35, were left “shaken” by the incident but continued with their matchday duties.
The pair have struck up a firm friendship off the field since meeting through punditry and have appeared in several spin-off shows together.
Sky Sports will review security for its pundits and presenters for the rest of the season.
Keane, who clashed with former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira in the tunnel at Arsenal’s old stadium at Highbury in 2005, was back home with his family yesterday in Hale, Cheshire.
He was pictured taking his two dogs for a walk but refused to comment, covering his face from the cameras with a jumper.
    SEEING RED
Richards touched briefly on the incident yesterday while recording The Rest is Football podcast with Match of the Day’s Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.
Lineker asked: “One of us had an interesting weekend, Micah, you were in the news?”
Richards responded: “Oh my word. Gary, I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
Lineker then clarified: “Because it’s under police investigation?”
Richards confirmed that stating: “Exactly, but when I am allowed to talk about it, The Rest Is Football will get it first.”
Shearer said: “I think the common opinion is don’t f*** with Big Meeks (Richards)!”
Referring to the US law about the right to remain silent, Richards replied: “No comment. I plead the Fifth (Amendment)!”
Lineker wrapped up the discussion by clarifying: “It is not something we should trivialise because it is a serious matter and we will wait until the police investigation is done until we discuss that story further.”
Arsenal said yesterday: “We are aware of an incident that took place during our match against Manchester United on Sunday.
“The Metropolitan Police is conducting an investigation into the matter and we are fully co-operating with their inquiries.”
Manchester United did not wish to comment. Sky Sports confirmed: “Micah Richards was acting to defuse a situation.”
The Met said: “Police are investigating an incident at Emirates Stadium on Sunday September 3, during which a man was assaulted.
“On Monday September 4, a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH).

“The man has been taken into custody. Inquiries are ongoing.”
There was no answer at Law’s Essex home last night. More
