Football betting tips: Chelsea ace Pulisic to score against West Ham – Premier League predictions

THESE two teams wouldn’t be visiting each other at Christmas unless they had to.
With the festive fixtures in full swing, we have betting tips for you from a juicy looking London derby between Chelsea and West Ham.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard needs a win to get his side’s title tilt back on trackCredit: PA:Press Association
Chelsea vs West Ham, Monday 8pm

There’s nothing better than a full-bloodied London derby under the lights on a cold, December evening.
With no love lost between these two sides, expect a blood and thunder encounter at the Bridge.
Chelsea are hurting from two straight losses on the road, denting their title hopes and allowing Liverpool to gain the advantage for the time being.
West Ham meanwhile have lost just one of their last five, but will be disappointed the couldn’t break down ten-man Palace last week.

It’s now nine home games unbeaten for Chelsea and although fans are banned again from the Bridge, it feels like Frank Lampard’s men are starting to make it a fortress.
The Hammers will have fond memories from their visit here last season, when Aaron Cresswell’s strike was enough to give them all three points.
That was their first win on Chelsea soil in FIFTEEN attempts and ended a barren run stretching right back to 2002.
David Moyes’ side have scored in all their away games this season, as well as four of their last five visits here.

Chelsea meanwhile have conceded in three of their last four home games, putting the brakes on any ideas of a comfortable home victory.

Chelsea were beaten at Wolves – but Christian Pulisic showed enough that we’re happy to back him at 13/10Credit: PA:Press Association
That Wolves defeat at Molineux certainly confirmed that Lampard’s side have a soft underbelly – and he will be concerned that his expensively assembled frontline is being overshadowed week-after-week by Olivier Giroud.
It’s 4/6 for both teams to net and we’re a fan of that, but also the 7/4 on Chelsea to win with both teams netting.
As much as West Ham have impressed this season after a slow start, they’ve lost at Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool on the road.
All of those defeats have come with them scoring – 7/4 is just too big considering Chelsea’s home form.
We gave Timo Werner a chance to shine last week against Wolves but the German continued to frustrate.
It’s not his fault he’s not in his natural position, but he ran down plenty of blind alleys and seemed to be trying to do too much rather than acting purely on instinct.
He’s evens to net anytime – steer clear of that and instead back Christian Pulisic at 13/10.
The American was the brightest spark – barring Giroud – against Wolves, with his tireless running and ability to cut inside while beating a man.
He’s endured a stop-start campaign due to injuries but scored against Leeds on December 5 and this looks like another game in which he can shine. Get on that big price.

Football betting tips TODAY: Richarlison to score vs Arsenal, Man Utd vs Leeds goal fest – Premier League predictions

SETTLE down for a Christmas feast of football this weekend.
With the festive fixtures in full swing, we have betting tips for you from three top-flight games which will hopefully net you some pocket money ahead of the big day.

Arteta’s side are on a dismal run of form – and we expect it to continue this weekendCredit: PA:Press Association

    Everton vs Arsenal, Saturday 5.30pm

The crisis continues to deepen at Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s men laboured to a 1-1 draw with Southampton on Wednesday, although on recent form that wasn’t actually a bad result.
Hey, at least it wasn’t a fifth-straight Premier League defeat on the spin for a team with more red cards than goals in the last two months.
Everton meanwhile have started to turn around their own form, coming into this one on the back of two excellent victories.

Six points over Chelsea and Leicester is a terrific return and they saw out their 2-0 win at the King Power with relative ease in midweek.
One positive for Arsenal was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally breaking his goal duck.
But on the flip, they’ll have to wheel out a backup defender for this one after Gabriel saw red for a needless pair of bookings.
The Gunners don’t have a great record at Goodison, with just one victory on their last four visits.

Last season saw a dismal 0-0 draw, with Everton failing to get a shot on target.

Richarlison can bag again for the Toffees at a massive 12/5Credit: EPA
Arsenal this season on the road have scored just five times, conceding six – that’s the third-best defensive record on the road, despite their troubles at the Emirates.
As such, we’re not expecting a goal-fest here by any means.
Three of the last five head-to-head’s on this ground have featured less than three goals and you can back that at a generous 19/20.
Just like on Wednesday, Arsenal are getting too much leeway on the results market and we won’t stop you going with an Everton victory at a juicy 13/10.
The Toffees are full of confidence and two wins without conceding against sides with far more firepower than the Gunners.
Richarlison was superb against Leicester and took away the man of the match award after nabbing the opening goal.
He’s a confidence player and tends to score his goals in fits and bursts, as showcased by the three-in-three blitz he produced against Fleetwood, Crystal Palace and West Ham earlier this season.
The 12/5 on him scoring at anytime is too big. Get on.

    Man Utd vs Leeds
    Trust us, this one matters.
When Leeds secured their return to the top-flight for the first time in 16 years back in the summer, this was the fixture all fans in the West Yorkshire city were looking forward to.
Leeds versus Man Utd is a proper Yorkshire vs Lancashire grudge-fest and this one couldn’t be better poised.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men come into the match on the back of a thumping 5-2 win over Newcastle, where they showcased just what the Argentine’s philosophy can do when everything clicks.
Man Utd meanwhile had to battle from behind at Sheffield United to keep their winning run on the road going.
Ole’s men always seem to start slowly away from Old Trafford, but found their groove midway through the first half and never looked back – no matter how much Dean Henderson tried to throw things away.
Leeds continue to impress and bouncing back from back-to-back defeats in the way they did against Newcastle was impressive.
We expect them to arrive at Old Trafford and really put the frighteners up United with their aggressive, high-press approach.
If it spooked Liverpool, it terrifies this timid United side.

Rodrigo is a great price to score again for Leeds after finding the net against NewcastleCredit: EPA
Leeds are a team which create chances and pile men into the area – expect them to score, as they’ve done in every away match this season.
8/13 for both teams to score is short, but we’re happy to make that our bet of the weekend.
But we’re happy to hunt for value and reckon that Leeds to score in BOTH halves is way overpriced at 7/2,
They did that at Liverpool when riding on a crest of emotion and adrenaline – at £45 back for a tenner, it’s a gamble well worth taking on.
Record-signing Rodrigo is settling into life in the Premier League and the new role Bielsa has given to him at Elland Road.
He bagged a goal in the Toon rout and is a player for the big occasion.
On a day in which we believe Leeds will at the very least show pride and passion, he’s the value pick of the market to net at a whopping 16/5.

Arsenal boss Arteta well in sack race contention after horror start but Wilder favourite and Solskjaer still in frame

SLAVEN BILIC became the first Premier League manager to get the chop this season after failing to make it into the New Year with West Brom.
And ahead of a busy festive period we look at the top contenders who are currently leading the sack race.

Chris Wilder was left with his head in his hands during their loss to Man UtdCredit: AP:Associated Press

SunSport sees how the land lies for Arsenal’s under-fire boss Mikel Arteta and Man Utd’s heavily scrutinised boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the use of the latest odds from Ladbrokes.

UNSURPRISINGLY Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder currently leads the sack race.
The Blades have picked up just one point from 13 Premier League games after losing 3-2 to Man Utd after taking an early lead.
Sheffield United now have endured officially the worst start to a season in Premier League history – after losing 12 of their opening 13 matches.

And as the rock-bottom Blades remain winless, Wilder is still under immense pressure.
Wilder has said: “If players want to stay in this division then they have to make better decisions.
“We’re all worried because we care about results and performances. We’re in this position for a reason.”
He added: “We are a losing team at the moment and I am the manager of a losing team.

“Whether it is cruel or deserved, we have to make the right decisions. If we make the right decisions we get something from the game against a really decent team.”

MIKEL ARTETA has come under intense scrutiny this season as Arsenal currently sit in 15th place.
They are just five points away from the relegation zone after suffering their worst start to a season in 39 years.
And with the Gunners being considerably closer to the drop zone than the European places, it’s clearly going to raise concerns.

Mikel Arteta is under immense pressure at the EmiratesCredit: PA:Press Association
As frustrations continue to grow game by game among the Arsenal fan base, the Spanish tactician is begging for time in the hotseat.
He said: “We have to accept the Premier League form in recent weeks has not been good enough for this football club.
“It’s like anything in this industry – you need results.
“But after a big shake-up we need to find stability. We need time, we all knew that when they made the decision with me to start this new project.
” It wasn’t a quick fix and it was going to take time.”

ON paper Manchester United are having a strong season – but Ole Gunnar Solksjaer can’t keep the critics quiet.
Their result at Bramall Lane saw them win their tenth consecutive away match, a record stretching back to last season.
And the Red Devils sit above Chelsea and Man City in the league while being just a couple points adrift of second-placed Tottenham.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is third favourite to be sacked next with LadbrokesCredit: Reuters
But it’s the manner of their performances, a poor home record and their Champions League exit which has kept Solskjaer in the spotlight.
United have just one home league win from six games, which came against West Brom.
And they have seen themselves go behind in their last six away games before going on to win.
Solskjaer said: “We need to sort the home form. It is not like it is home and away with these conditions without fans. We should be more used to the Old Trafford pitches than these pitches.
“Sunday [against Leeds] is a massive game, we have been waiting for years and we will be ready for it.”

AFTER being one of the frontrunners Scott Parker’s odds have drifted after his results have rapidly improved.
In their last four outings, Fulham have beaten Leicester and drawn against Liverpool and Brighton.
This has lifted them a point from safety as the Cottagers are looking much harder to beat, after they lost seven of their first nine league games.

Sheffield United vs Man Utd betting tips: Bruno Fernandes to net tonight at Bramall Lane – Premier League predictions

THE Premier League is coming to the end of a packed midweek schedule – and the matches so far haven’t disappointed.
With just one more top-flight game left on Thursday, we’ve got you covered with betting tips from Bramall Lane.

It finished honours even between Man Utd and City last weekendCredit: EPA
Sheffield United vs Man Utd, Thursday 8pm

It’s been a miserable campaign for Chris Wilder and Co.
The Blades are suffering from a huge bout of second-season syndrome, sitting bottom of the table with one point from a possible 36.
Man Utd meanwhile arrive in South Yorkshire on the back of a morale-boosting performance in the Manchester derby.
So they didn’t get all three points, but a 0-0 draw with Pep Guardiola’s City side was welcome after crashing out of the Champions League.

In the reverse fixture last season, these sides played out a terrific 3-3 draw which saw United battle back from two-down.
The last time Sheffield United scored three was back in July, when they dispatched Chelsea 3-0 on home soil.
That seems a long time ago now.
Wilder’s side are winless all season and currently on a run of seven-straight defeats.

After such a strong campaign last term, Sheffield United are already deep in a relegation battleCredit: PA:Press Association
No wonder then they are 6/1 for the victory – but even that seems a little short considering their wretched form.
Man Utd have scored three or more in EVERY one of their Premier League away matches this season.
They’ve won all of those games and goals is the way to play here.
A United away victory is just a tiny 4/9 and we’d leave that win only market alone, simply because there’s more value elsewhere.
Ole’s men are a perfect five from five on the road, the best away team in the league – but they have conceded in each of those victories.
Back them to win this at Bramall Lane, but also to concede at a huge 12/5.
Both teams to score is also evens, which is too tempting despite the Blades’ blunt forward line this term.
They found a way to score against Leicester last time out here and at that price, we’re happy to back them to do so again.
Bruno Fernandes continues to thrill as United’s midfield magician and tops the scoring ranks with seven in the league so far.
He takes the set pieces and has the eye for goal you want when trusting a player with your hard-earned.
At 6/5, the Portuguese star can come through for us again.

Football betting tips TODAY: Arteta misery to continue in Arsenal vs Southampton tonight – Premier League predictions

THERE’s not a lot better than some midweek footy under the lights.
With no European games this week, it’s a chance for the Premier League to take centre stage over a number of nights – and we’ve betting tips for you from two big top-flight clashes.

It’s been a torrid few weeks for Arsenal and Mikel ArtetaCredit: Reuters
    Arsenal vs Southampton, Wednesday 6pm

We said last week that Mikel Arteta was skating on thin ice.
After defeat against Burnley – the Gunners fourth in a row – he might have just fallen through it.
The loss netted us a few winners on our Super Sunday tips, but for Arsenal fans it was a 90 minutes which summed up their season. Abject.
Never mind getting out of first gear, the Gunners have yet to put the key in the ignition – and the less said about what’s going on with highest-earner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the better.

No such worries at St Marys, with the Saints flying high and currently occupying a Champions League place.
They were ruthless against Sheffield United at the weekend, turning would could have been a potential banana skin into a straightforward victory.
Many fans on the South Coast feared the worst when top scorer Danny Ings got injured two months ago.

Granit Xhaka saw red as Arsenal suffered another defeatCredit: AFP
But they’ve gone instead from strength to strength – and the former Liverpool forward is back to help their unlikely European push.

The Saints have scored 24 times this season, the same as Spurs and noticeable FOURTEEN more than the shot-shy Gunners.
They’ve scored twice on three of their last four visits to the Emirates – and we’re backing them to do the same again.
Hasenhuttl’s fearless side netted three at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season and have drawn a blank just once on their travels.
The Gunners have been leaky at home all campaign and 17/10 on the Saints scoring over 1.5 goals is huge.
You can get 4/6 on Southampton avoiding defeat in North London and with Arsenal in this rut – and the visitors full of confidence – that’s a terrific price.
Danny Ings hasn’t scored from open play since his return from knee surgery but is slowing getting back up to speed.
This Southampton team has speed, agility and guile in attack – and he’s got all three.
At 11/10, ignore the prices on the shot-shy Arsenal forwards and instead back Ings to give you a midweek winner.

Sheffield United vs Man Utd, Thursday

Football betting tips: Misery set to continue for Mikel Arteta in Arsenal vs Southampton – Premier League predictions

THERE’s not a lot better than some midweek footy under the lights.
