      Last year, it emerged Man Utd superstar Ronaldo, 36, grabs 40 winks five times each day and sleeps in the foetal position.
      And here SunSport can reveal the different sleep patterns of several other sporting icons from across the globe and how many hours of ‘Zzz’ time they get, according to Online Mattress Review.

      The WWE icon turned movie star hits the sack for just four hours-a-night.
      At 49, Hawaiian born Johnson clocks off between midnight and is up and about again at 4am.
      Presumably to work out at least 25 times a day to maintain his impressive physique.
      Muhammad Ali – 6.5 hours
      Muhammad Ali was a religious man and slept for 6.5 hours after dinner and prayers

      The greatest boxer of all time put many opponents to sleep in his time and would wind down between 10pm and 4:30am.
      As a devout Muslim, much of his time would be split between prayer and training.
      And his evening routine would include a walk after dinner, a quick wash, prayers and short stint in front of the TV before he dozed off.

      You do not need hawk eye to tell when Serena is out for the count but we can neither confirm or deny whether her snoring makes a racket.
      The tennis sensation takes a solid seven hour sleep between midnight and 7am each day after a post-dinner routine of socialising and work.
      The 39-year-old former world number one is also a mum of a young daughter so her slumbers are no doubt interrupted by the littl’un every now and then.

      Ronaldo has perhaps the oddest routine of all the big stars.
      Rather than one lump of rest at the end of each day like most of us, Ronnie reportedly prefers to take short naps of an hour-and-a-half each time throughout the day.
      After dinner, he relaxes with his friends before a swim at 10pm.
      He then takes one of his signature naps until midnight and relaxes until another short burst of sleep from around 3am before waking up for the day.
      Ronda Rousey – 8 hours

      MMA and WWE star Rousey’s routine seems pretty standard.
      Eight hours between midnight and 8am.
      Nice and simple.

      Woods is generally considered the best golfer of all time.
      And to maintain such high levels, the superstar spends eight and a half hours dreaming of sinking putts and splitting fairways.
      He snoozes from 10pm to 6:30am – proving the early birdie really does catch the worm.

      Like Woods, Brady is considered the greatest ever in his field.
      The former New England Patriots quarter-back is revered in across the world for his sustained and unrivalled talent.
      And the 44-year-old – who is still playing for the Tampa Bay Bucacaneers – makes sure he touches down to sleep for nine hours each day between 8:30pm and 5:30am.

      Basketball star Stephen Curry is another record breaker who is set to go down in the NBA history books.
      The Golden State Warriors point guard is another who does not take rest lightly – opting to hit the hay for nine hours between 11pm and 8am every day.

      And 3-0 Paul decided to take on four ‘huge humans’ in Gronkowski’s sports-mad brothers in preparation, with gridiron star Rob reffing.
      Paul told TMZ: “I’m f**king 6ft 2in, 200 pounds and I go in there and all of Rob’s brothers are towering over me.
      “They’re all taller than me vertically, they’re all wider than me horizontally… these are huge humans.
      “Honestly, I walked in and I was like. ‘Alright, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna kick their a** but I cannot get hit obviously.’
      “They don’t know how to box but they got some power and if they hit me, that could be it, man!”
      Glenn, Dan, Chris played in the NFL, while Gordie was a baseball star.
      And all four even received some pro boxing training from legends Winky Wright and Antonio Tarver.
      Paul went on to say Gronkowski would have have a real shot of making it as a pro boxer if he decided to become ‘Gridiron Mike’.

      The YouTuber said: “Anyone with Rob’s height and size and power… if he just dedicated himself to it, then yeah [he could make it as a boxer].

      “I was like bro, he tossed me. I felt powerless.”
      But for now Gronkowski seems happy just to referee, chiming in: “I was the official referee… and good thing I was the official referee.
      “My referring skills were pretty legit, 12 out of 10!”
      Earlier this week, Paul confirmed he would pocket a staggering £14million for his June 6 fight in Miami with 44-year-old Mayweather.
      That means he will receive less than a fifth of Money’s reported purse, which is said to be a lucrative £72m.

      The American’s clash with Paul will not go down on his professional record as it is an exhibition.
      In the first press conference for the fight last week, Mayweather and Logan’s brother Jake – who is a 3-0 pro boxer – became involved in a brawl.
      Jake grabbed Mayweather’s hat off his head, an act which prompted Mayweather to try and retaliate, but the melee of people managed to break it up.
      On the altercation, Logan said: “When you have a guy with the resources and the wealth that Floyd Mayweather has and the connection and the network and he’s saying s***, ‘I’mma kill that motherf***er’ – kill? Death?
      “You’re gonna kill my brother over a f***ing hat? Yo, we take that s*** seriously man!”

      The businessman told his 647,000 Instagram followers that he was out to ‘redeem himself’ with the match-up.
      Beckham, 45, appeared to be playing defence as his pal chased down the Brady passes.
      After both men won one throw each, the former England midfielder whipped off his shirt in the Caribbean sun before jumping to catch the decisive play.

      So why have these stars decided a cup of their own finest is a smart decision?

      The Houston Texans star revealed he drank a cup of his own urine but this was not for any physical benefits.
      Jones was willing to try out his own pee to win a bet against his team-mates.
      He told The Guardian: “We were having a good time, and whatever makes the team better.

      “I was just enjoying it – and anytime I can get a laugh out of it, I’ll do it.”

      Marquez revealed he drank his own pee in a bid to overcome boxing superstar Mayweather.
      The Mexican said: “This is something I have been doing for the past six or seven fights, and it has given me good results.
      “If you drink or inject yourself with vitamins, you release them every time you go to the bathroom. Why not put them back in your body orally?”

      But the ‘health benefits’ failed to pay off as Mayweather eased to a points victory in their 2019 fight.

      The MMA fighter, who rose to fame on The Ultimate Fighter, believes there are significant health benefits to the unusual beverage.
      Cummo claimed urine ‘contains minerals, hormones and elements that bind moisture to protein’ and said it was all part of the body’s recycling process.

      Is there any nutritional value in wee?

      THE Sun’s nutritionist Amanda Ursell said there is no nutritional value in drinking your own wee.
      “You are weeing out the excess stuff that your body doesn’t need, after all the goodness has been absorbed,” she said.
      “And your kidneys have very carefully filtered it out, so why would you then go and drink it?”
      Amanda said that surviving on little else other than urine would put people at risk of serious nutrient deficiencies.
      She added: “Every nutrient, vitamin and mineral has a corresponding deficiency disease if you don’t get enough of it.”
      So if you are using urine to replace foods, you’re likely to suffer a whole range of health problems rather than curing any ailments.

      The Buccaneers dominated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 to win the Super Bowl in their home Raymond James Stadium.
      Their title run was sparked by signing Tom Brady last summer and an incredible defensive performance on Sunday.
      And the irony of Tampa Bay’s strong defence was not lost on Man Utd fans.
      A tweet read: “The Buccaneers defence was fairly tidy, a CB loan deal until the end of the season for Man Utd. Glazer fam you listening? We can really use a CB.”

      LIONEL MESSI has overtaken NFL star Patrick Mahomes to become the sportsman with the world’s most-lucrative contract.
      The Argentine superstar, 33, recently had his incredible contract details leaked by Spanish outlet El Mundo.

      And the details left jaws on the floor and eyeballs popping out of their sockets across the globe as it blew all other sporting deals out of the water.
      American Football ace Patrick Mahomes – who will star in this tonight’s Super Bowl – had previously led the way.
      The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 25, put pen to paper on a TEN-YEAR deal in the summer of 2020.
      All in all, Mahomes stands to earn a staggering £329million in the next decade, with his base salary slowly increasing as his career goes on.

      In 2021, Mahomes is expected to rake in £16.7m, but in the final year of his contract he will pocket an astounding £38.4m.
      On average, the quarterback will take home an annual salary of £32.9m.
      Mahomes was also offered a £7.2m bonus at the time of signing his new contract.
      The NFL star will also rake in £1.5m in guaranteed loyalty bonuses each year until 2024.

      On top of that, Mahomes will command a £450,000 annual workout bonus until the end of his contract.
      Meanwhile, Messi will rake in an astonishing £492m between the summer of 2017 and June 2021.
      That means, the Barcelona icon is taking home an other-worldly £123m per season – a massive £90m more per season than Mahomes.
      It was also revealed Messi earns a £69m ‘loyalty fee’ each season on top of his base rate, while being handed a staggering £109m signing-on fee.
      It’s also been revealed the wing wizard will receive a £35m pay-day even if he QUITS the club this summer.
      Messi also beats Mahomes in terms of endorsement deals.
      The Argentine has bumper contracts with the likes of adidas, Gatorade, Huawei, Mastercard, Pepsi and Budweiser for an annual income of £23m.
      Mahomes has deals with adidas, Oakley, DirecTV, State Farm and a number of other US brands, raking in a combined annual fee of £5m.
      Messi also earns more per Instagram post, thanks to his 181m followers – dwarfing Mahomes 4.2m fans on the social media site.
