Greek cop’s lawyer claims Harry Maguire brawl may have left police officer with ‘permanent back injury’
A brawl involving Harry Maguire and Greek police may have left one officer with a permanent back injury, according to a lawyer.
Ioannis Paradissis claims the cop has already been to hospital twice and fears his injuries may never heal properly.

Paradissis, who is representing two officers who claim they were attacked by the star, made his claims in an interview with the Sunday Mirror.
He said: “The worst injury was of the policeman who was thrown on the pavement by Harry Maguire. It was a lower back injury.”
When asked if the officer could be left permanently injured, he replied: “It is possible, yes, with this kind of injury. Of course it could cause him more problems in future.
“Harry Maguire also pushed another policeman who was trying to handcuff him and he injured his right hand.”
The lawyer also said it has not yet been decided whether or not his clients will sue the Manchester United and England defender.
He added that under Greek law the Mykonos officers have up to five years to make a claim.
Paradissis earlier alleged the £85m defender’s account of the events that led to his arrest was “absurd.”

Maguire received a 21-month suspended sentence after he was convicted of attempted bribery, assault, verbal assault and attacking cops.
Afterwards he said his “conscience is so clear” and his lawyers lodged an appeal against his convictions.
The move nullifies the initial verdict and means there will be a retrial in a more senior court.
Maguire had said he feared he was being kidnapped when the plain clothes cops pounced.
The clash followed a row sparked when Harry’s pals said two Albanians had injected his sister Daisy, 20, with a drug as they waited for a bus.
Paradissis also believes the England ace should show more remorse over the high-profile incident.

He said: “Maguire could say ‘I’m very sorry for the policemen who have been hit’, but instead he says that he didn’t hurt them as much as they did him.
“That is what they find sad. He appears to be accusing the police when they are the victims here. He’s trying to flip the argument.”
Maguire, 27, said on Friday he had nothing to apologise for and insisted cops had lashed out at him.
He said he was attacked while trying to take his sister, Daisy, 20, to hospital.
The Sun Online has reported how trolls have blasted Paradissis and the Greek courts online.
One City fan even said: “I’m actually a Manchester City fan who would love for Maguire to be found guilty, but I still believe it’s his right to have a fair trial.”
He continued: “How can you go home tonight after being involved in that farce!
“Such unprofessionalism shown from yourself and the Greek authorities, it is a complete embarrassment to you and also Greece itself.”
The Sun Online has reached out to Maguire’s representatives over the lawyer’s claims.
