      Paul, however, has registered KO and decision wins over former UFC welter and middleweight champions Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva – victories which have impressed Aspinall.
      The Wigan warrior told Midnite: “I’ve got an unpopular opinion about Jake Paul, I think Jake Paul’s pretty good.
      “I think Jake Paul’s been handling himself pretty well in the boxing stuff that he’s got into.”
      Paul, 25, is seemingly edging closer to a long-awaited grudge match with fellow social media star Tommy Fury.

      Aspinall knows Fury well having been a regular sparring partner of his brother Tyson and believes the Paul match-up makes sense at this stage of his career.
      He said: “I know Tommy personally, I’ve known Tommy since he was 14-years-old.
      “I know that Tommy is from a fighting family. I know Tommy is a good fighter himself.
      “And I think it’s a great matchup for both guys and from what I can see it seems a pretty even matchup, which we like to see.

      “We like to see young guys both hungry and undefeated fighting each other.
      “That’s where the excitement comes. What’s going to happen?
      “We don’t know. That’s what’s exciting in combat sports.”

      Paul has also flirted with the prospect of fights with MMA superstars Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor, bouts Aspinall thinks he’d do well in.
      He added: “Jake Paul and Nate Diaz or Conor McGregor are even fights, definitely. Both guys have got a lot of experience.”
      The Fury fight, however, is the one Aspinall is eager for The Problem Child to take next.
      He said: “But I want to see Jake Paul against someone young, hungry and fresh rather than someone with lots of miles on clock like he’s been fighting, which is fair enough for where he is in his career.

      The former world champion was asked to name when YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul faced Ben Askren, Nate Robinson and Anderson Silva.
      But Froch, 45, responded: “Jake Paul is a clown, such a f****** idiot. What a ponce. He’s not even a fighter.
      “He shouldn’t even be on this list. You have disgraced this list by putting his name on it.
      “It is disgusting you have put him on this list of boxers.”

      Paul knocked out retired MMA welterweight Askren, 38, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 38, and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 40.
      And in October he scored the biggest win of his career by beating UFC legend Anderson Silva, 47, who also had a 4-1 record in the ring.
      But before the bout, Froch – who retired in 2014 after knocking out Groves – took another swipe at Paul, 25.
      He told William Hill: “Jake Paul can’t fight, he’s pretending, he’s conning people.

      “I wouldn’t even train for this guy, I’d do a little bit of training.
      “I might do the odd little run to get the heart beating, but I’d take Jake Paul to school and hammer him.
      “He knows it, he wouldn’t fight me. No chance.”

      Paul, 25, has gone 6-0 in his brief stint as a pro, racking up wins against former UFC welter and middleweight champions Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva.
      The Problem Child has yet to face a professional boxer, but sparring partner Rydell Booker is confident he has what it takes to make it to the upper echelons of the cruiserweight division.
      The American told Betway: “I’m quite sure he will break into the top ten in the world.
      “At least eight or seven, but he’s setting his own destination and he’s got the right team around him and even with me coming along I can teach him the craftiness they don’t teach anymore from the 80s and 90s.”

      Booker has put several hard rounds in the YouTuber-turned-boxer and has been impressed with his ability to quickly pick up the tools of the trade.
      The 41-year-old said: “Jake’s a very quick learner and he’s surprised a lot of boxers.
      “When I sparred with him on Tuesday, the things I did to him on Tuesday I could not do to him on Thursday.
      “He’s a very quick learner, he works very hard and he’s passionate about it even though he doesn’t need money from boxing, he’s already wealthy.

      The YouTuber-turned boxer was a special guest commentator at the Coca-Cola Arena as Fury boxed late replacement Rolly Lambert in an exhibition.
      Paul, 25, heckled from ringside and the two later clashed post-fight with security having to restrain them as their rivalry hit new heights.
      Fury, 23, told iFL TV: “I don’t like him. At the start it was kind of like, he’s a big YouTuber, I’ve just come off Love Island, it’ll be a massive fight.
      “But as the months have gone down, I don’t like this fella and when I get in the ring with him, I’m going to break his face in.

      “He’s one man I don’t like and that’s not for the camera, there’s no bulls*** involved in that, this is genuine bad blood.
      “I don’t like him and when he gets in that ring with me, I’m going to rearrange his face.”
      Twice the celebrity boxing foes have signed to fight but both times Fury was withdrawn.
      He suffered a rib injury last December and then was pulled out in the rehashed date in August amid a US visa issue, which still persists.

      Dad John named Dubai as the venue to renegotiate after striking a verbal deal with Paul’s advisor Bidarian.
      He said: “Contracts mean nothing to me but a handshake does and my word, you can build a tower block on it.
      “He’s given me his word, his manager, we fight in February. And where better place? The world of Dubai.”
      Paul beat 47-year-old UFC legend Anderson Silva in his last fight in October, the biggest win in his 6-0 career.
      Fury was set to return against 5-2 American Paul Bamba, 33, but the bout was dramatically scrapped on the day due to a weight disagreement.

      Instead, 17-bout Lambert, 33, filled in on just hours notice but it was unable to be sanctioned as a professional fight.
      Fury got six valuable rounds under his belt and vowed to become the man to stop Paul’s gravy train.
      He said: “My blood boils when I see him and I’m going to do what everyone wants me to do and that’s end this man.
      “Because Canelo ain’t going to put an end to him because Canelo’s out of his league completely, Canelo ain’t never going to fight him.

      The American is a special guest on Sunday night when Floyd Mayweather, 45, faces his ex-opponent Deji, 25, in an exhibition.
      But Paul will have his eyes on the co-headliner, which sees Fury, 23, fight 5-2 American Paul Bamba, 33.

      A win for the 2019 Love Islander sets up yet another rescheduled celebrity grudge match between the pair.
      Even before Paul’s win over Silva, he revealed talks were ongoing to fight Fury in February in the UK.
      He said on his podcast: “Had a call with Tommy Fury. Yeah, they’re saying we’re going to fight in February.
      “I think he actually can’t come into the United States. So if I fight him in the UK…”

      And Mayweather appeared unimpressed with Paul’s wins over ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 38, and former UFC pair Ben Askren, 38, and Tyron Woodley, 40.
      The YouTuber-turned prizefighter, 25, is yet to face a seasoned boxer, despite Silva’s 4-1 record in the ring.
      And Mayweather, 45, warned Paul’s time will be up when he does while taking the chance to aim a brutal dig.

      The YouTuber-turned fighter has dominated the influencer boxer sphere and boasts a 6-0 record.
      Paul has fought three former UFC fighters and knocked out all but one of the opponents he has faced in the ring.
      As well as boasting a 100 per cent record, Paul is a big PPV draw and is believed to have earned around £20million from his fights.
      He has shaken up the boxing world and has his sights set on becoming world champion one day and wants to fight the likes of Canelo Alvarez.

      Despite predictions that the bout would closely contested, the American floored Gib three times in the opener, forcing the referee to stop the match.

      Nate Robinson
      In his next fight obliterated former NBA basketball star Nate Robinson with a brutal second-round KO.
      Robinson faceplanted after a looping right in the second round and was out cold as the fight was finally waved off.
      Such was the brutality of the finish, music legend Snopp Dogg likened it at the time to a ‘Hood fight’.
      The KO became a huge internet hit with poor Robinson trolled mercilessly with savage memes.
      Paul later argued that it was not only the most famous of his career, but in boxing all together.

      The following year, the YouTuber then followed it up with a first-round finish against retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
      The ex-Disney star made light work of the former Bellator and ONE Championship 170lb champ, starching him in under a minute with a vicious one-two combo.
      In the aftermath Paul said: “It’s been four months I’ve been in training camp every day, I deserve that s***.
      “This is the craziest moment of my life. I told y’all I was gonna do it in the first round.
      “I told y’all I’m a real fighter, I don’t know how many times I’ve gotta prove myself that this is for real.”

      Paul’s toughest fight to date was his first showdown against Woodley in Cleveland as he went the distance for the first time in his career.
      He secured the win by split decision after winning 77-75, 75-77, 78-74 on the scorecards.
      Just three months later Woodley then signed as a late replacement after ex-Love Island star Tommy Fury, pulled out of a bout due to a broken rib and chest infection.
      However, as the two faced again, Paul’s task proved to be a lot simpler on the second time of asking as he brutally shut the ex-UFC champion’s lights out with a massive right hand in round six.
      Jake said in the post-fight press conference: “I’ve done more than enough, four massive fights in 13 months.
      “Nobody in the history of boxing has done what I’ve done at this age. 
      “I turned them all into memes, that s*** is going viral all over the internet and I’m ready to fight whoever.
      “It doesn’t matter if they’re a professional boxer or a five-time UFC champion, I don’t care.
      “I’m really built for this and no matter what I’m going to find a way to get the job done and that’s what I showed tonight.”
      Anderson Silva
      In October 2022, Paul secured victory over UFC legend Anderson Silva  in the biggest win of his boxing career.
      He bettered Silva on points in Arizona, scoring a knockdown in the eighth and final round.
      Paul was awarded a unanimous decision with scores of 77-74 and 78-73, twice as he defeated his idol-turned rival.
      He said: “It’s a surreal moment. Hard work pays off. First and foremost, I want to say thank you to Anderson.
      “He was my idol growing up. He inspired me to be great. He was the first celebrity I ever met.
      “Without him, we wouldn’t have had a fight this year. He’s a tough mofo. A legend. I have nothing but respect for him.”
      It improved his record to 6-0 and marked the first time he claimed victory over an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.
      Who is Jake Paul fighting next?
      Paul is reportedly eager to get back into the ring in 2023 and his team have already started eyeing up opponents.
      During an appearance on The MMA Hour, head coach BJ Flores said: “We got a couple of names that we’re looking at.
      “And that’s all I can say about it.
      “Jake wants the biggest names, the biggest challenges and he deserves those types of fights.
      “He’s taken care of these guys. He’s paying these guys. Well, he’s given them full training camps.
      “He’s letting these guys really come in the best version of themselves.
      “There’s boxers on there. There’s a couple of MMA fighters too. That would make sense too.”
      Tommy Fury and former UFC star Nate Diaz are the frontrunners to face Problem Child Paul next year.
      Paul and Fury have twice been scheduled to face one another but have yet to share the ring.
      Injury and illness to Fury – the younger brother of WBC heavyweight king Tyson – scuppered the pair’s first scheduled meeting last December.
      Visa issues for Love Islander Fury laid waste to their rescheduled rumble in August, which both men are seemingly keen to re-book.

      The pair will once again be in the same ring as each other on Sunday night, just in separate bouts.
      Taylor faces another Love Island star in Jack Fincham, while Fury co-headlines the night against 5-2 American Paul Bamba.
      But Paul’s former sparring partner claims Bamba was only given the opportunity after Fury, 23, refused a rematch.
      Taylor, 33, told SunSport: “I was told they offered Tommy $1million to fight me in a rematch and he turned it down.
