Woodley has tonnes of combat sports experience but Paul has proved himself to be more than competent in the squared circle.
The pair will come to blows on Sunday in a massive event which is available to watch on BT Sport Box Office in the UK.
What is Tyron Woodley’s net worth?
Tyron Woodley has been an MMA star since making his professional debut back in 2009.
The 39-year-old then moved over to MMA promotion strike force, where he impressed and landed himself a contract with the UFC.
And it was under president Dana White’s banner where Woodley made his name, winning the welterweight title in 2016.
Woodley then had big fights with Stephen Thompson, Damian Maia and Darren Till, before losing four fights on the bounce, including ones with Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington.
His net worth, according to SportsKeeda, is around £3million.
Much has been made, especially by rival Paul, of the pay that UFC fighters receiver for their efforts.
And Woodley is expected to make much more than the career high £430,000 he made to fight Darren Till in 2018.

How much money will Tyron Woodley make for fighting Jake Paul?
Though the purses have not yet been disclosed, Woodley is expected to make at least £500,000.
Woodley will also likely receive a share, albeit a smaller one than Paul’s, of the pay-per-view pot money.
Woodley’s manager Malki Kawa said: “He [Tyron Woodley] is getting paid really well.
Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley will face off on August 29Credit: instagram jakepaul
“He’s getting a large base number and a cut of the pay-per-view globally, he’s participating in a lot of different things.
“He should walk away with a multi-million dollar payday.
“His base guarantee is in the millions already, but add on all the other extra stuff, it’s a really nice payday.” More

Motivated Tyron Woodley under pressure to beat Jake Paul but won’t freeze against YouTuber, says UFC great Bisping

TYRON WOODLEY is under immense ‘pressure’ to win his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping believes. The future UFC Hall-of-Famer will lock horns with the YouTuber turned boxer early on Monday morning in Cleveland, Ohio.

And former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping believes Woodley is under immense ‘pressure’ going into the fight.
Woodley, 39, enters his maiden boxing match with the weight of the MMA world on his shoulders following four consecutive losses and his good friend Ben Askren’s KO defeat to The Problem Child.
But Bisping likes what he’s seen of the Missouri mauler’s preparations for the bout, telling SunSport: “He does look motivated. But I think that’s because he’s feeling the pressure.
“Of course, he had a great career as champion and in the UFC he was a phenomenal fighter.
“I would assume he’ll be in the Hall-of-Fame one day, but he’s lost his last four.
“I did see some interviews a while ago. He fell into the trap that a lot of fighters do, a lot of athletes do, with overspending money and things like that.
“I’m not sure of his financial situation, I’m sure he’s OK. But this is all he knows.

“And he’s probably training like a madman because he’s feeling the pressure.
“And there’s a little bit of assumption on my end because I don’t know his financial situation.
“But I don’t think it’s a wild theory to have. He’s even spoken about this himself.
“So he needs this. He needs to be successful. So, therefore, he’s pushing himself accordingly.
“But with all of that, that brings a lot of pressure.”
In his final forays into the octagon, Woodley looked a shell of the man who struck fear into the hearts of the UFC’s 170-pounders during his championship reign.
He does look motivated. But I think that’s because he’s feeling the pressure.Michael Bisping on Tyron Woodley’s clash with Jake Paul
But with the eyes of the entire combat sports world firmly fixed on him, Bisping expects to see the Chosen One return to his old gunslinging ways.
The Count said: “Now as we all know, pressure, it can form diamonds.
“F**king the most cliche thing ever. But you know what I’m saying.
“He could go out there and rise to the challenge and put on the performance of a lifetime.
“He might leave Jake Paul flat out, face down on the canvas.
“Or it might make him freeze, you know? I don’t think it will, I think we’re gonna see him [perform].

How Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley compare ahead of their boxing match
“Because in the Vicente Luque fight, he went out there and I think he felt the pressure and he started off hard.
“But that was part of his demise. He came out too fast, too hot.”
Lucrative payday aside, Woodley is in somewhat of a lose-lose situation as he should beat combat novice Paul.
And although Woodley is the underdog against the 3-0 Paul, Bisping reckons the expectation of victory will weigh heavy on the MMA vet.
He said: “It is a tough spot for Tyron Woodley. Because think about it, again: Tyron Woodley the former champion.
“He used to proclaim to be one of the greatest of all time. Certainly one of the best welterweight champions that we did have, to be fair.
Jake Paul is cutting no corners with his diet
“He should, on paper, beat this guy. So that again brings pressure. There’s so much pressure for Tyron.
“”And on the flipside for Jake Paul, it’s just like, ‘Well, I’m supposed to lose.”
BT Sport Box Office will show Jake Paul v Tyron Woodley exclusively live on Sunday 29th August. Watch all the action from an exciting card that also features Daniel Dubois and Tommy Fury from 00:30. To find out more, visit www.bt.com/sportboxoffice

The social media sensation is currently 3-0, all by knockout, and faces his biggest challenge to date in ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, next.
Former two-weight UFC king McGregor, 33, and boxing’s current pound-for-pound No1 were recently named on Paul’s ‘hit-list’ of opponents.
And while his trainer BJ Flores admitted Mexican superstar Canelo is deemed not up for discussion, the UFC’s top talent are.
Flores told The W.A.D.E Concept: “Canelo Alvarez is not on our radar, but I like Jake’s enthusiasm for believing he can beat the big names.
“But Conor he better not fight Jake I will tell you that now. His career will come to a tumbling stop if he fights him, I guarantee that.
“But there is plenty of other MMA fights and names that would probably give Jake a better fight.
“We will see which name makes sense for Jake including some pretty big names in MMA, I don’t go easy on Jake.”
    Jake Paul’s boxing ‘hit-list’

McGregor flirted with a return to the ring, last year entering negotiations with Manny Pacquiao.
But after he was knocked out in January by Dustin Poirier – the man he initially beat in 2014 – talks with Pacquiao, 42, collapsed.
McGregor, 33, then lost his trilogy bout with Poirier, 32, after suffering a horror leg break seconds before the first round ended.
He has since undergone surgery and is already training but will need to complete his six-month medical suspension.
Meanwhile Paul, who has wins over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37, returns to the ring on the weekend.

Ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor campaigns at lightweight
The social media sensation is currently 3-0, all by knockout, and faces his biggest challenge to date in ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, next.
They are set to fight at 190lb, or 13st 5lb and McGregor is naturally an 11st contender in the UFC’s lightweight division.
Anthony Taylor, Paul’s chief sparing partner, revealed the cruiserweight boxer naturally weighs 15st 3lb.
That compared to the 12st 8lb he predicts McGregor walks around at gives the Irishman almost a three stone disadvantage.
Taylor, 32, told Betway Insider: “You got to understand, we’re not dealing with exhibitions.
“We’re talking about professional boxing matches licensed by the commission with an agreement on the weight class.
    Jake Paul’s boxing ‘hit-list’

“Jake walks around about 215lbs, Conor walks around at 180lbs, he’d have to go up to 190lbs.
“I think Jake would drop down to 190lbs for Conor – he’s fighting Tyron at 190lbs.
“That fight is tricky because Conor is a lefty but Jake has more body mass, more range.
“You’re dealing with a guy that’s heavy. It would be competitive.”

Bellator lightweight Taylor has been sparring the American in prepration for the fight against Woodley.
And he opened up about the secret sparring sessions, which have taken place in Puerto Rico.
Taylor revealed: “When you put a guy like Jake in the boxing ring with a guy like Tyron, Jake’s going to win that all day, just because he’s been working on the repetition and the mechanics of boxing.
“Tyron technically has a punchers chance but Jake is a better boxer.
“Tyron is a better fighter because of his MMA background, but Jake is a better boxer.
“There’s a lot of people that think Tyron is going to knock out Jake. But I see it the other way around. He’s looking great.”

Paul is 3-0, all by knockout with wins over YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
And he returns to the ring against Woodley, 39, in his fourth and most challenging fight to date.

The two were filmed hitting the pads together working on speed and combinations.
Paul previously criticised Woodley for choosing to train with Mayweather and claimed it would work in his favour.
He told TMZ Sports: “I think it’s a disadvantage, actually.
“Him hopping around with different coaches, trying to learn different styles, that’s not how you progress in this sport.
“Floyd didn’t even have a strategy to go in and beat my brother, so how is he going to tell Tyron what to do?”

And Taylor opened up about the secret sessions and the come forward boxing style Paul is developing under trainer BJ Flores.
He told Betway Insider: “Jake’s a bully, he bullies you.
“He comes forward, very aggressive. He will overwhelm you if he has to. Luckily I’m used to training with guys as tall as he is.
Jake is very strong, very quick – surprisingly for a guy who is a YouTuber turned boxer – the guy is a natural athlete.
“Jake overall is an aggressive guy in the ring. He has a great heart, he has a hell of a chin, he has determination and a great team behind him.
