      It is the kind of fanfare Professional Fighters League featherweight Loughnane is building towards – and he wants to take it Stateside.

      “I’m pretty good friends with Anthony Crolla as well and he used to do the same at Manchester Arena, sell out with roaring Mancunians. 
      “That’s always been the goal, of course it’s always been the goal and if I can get half of what those two had, I’d be over the moon.”
      Loughnane last year signed with PFL and entered their winner-take-all season where a $1million cash prize awaits the winner.
      The PFL is MMA’s only league format, spanning over a regular season and play-offs.

      Fighters in eight different weight classes enter the two-fight regular season where they compete to advance to the play-offs.
      That consists of a two-round quarter-final and three-round semi-final in one night, where the winner advances to the championship finale.
      Last season, Loughnane beat Sheymon Moraes and Tyler Diamond but was knocked out by eventual winner Movlid Khaybulaev.
      The Brit lost by narrow split-decision and he is ready to right the wrong this time around.
      Loughnane said: “Last year I missed it by a whisker, I went in there with a 19-0 Russian, I went in there with one hand, I was medically told to pull out. 
      “Everyone told me to pull out but I still went through with it and put in a good account of myself. 
      “So I think this year going into it I’ve already fought the toughest guy PFL has to offer.
      “And 100 per cent healthy, I don’t think anyone beats me this year.”

      Loughnane joins the featherweights again and will kick off his season against Japan’s Ryoji Kudo tomorrow Texas, live on Channel 4.
      And with only four fights standing in his way of a life-changing $1m cheque, the bouts come thick and fast.
      Loughnane said: “Fighting every six weeks brings its own challenges, it’s really difficult, last year I found it extremely difficult to adapt to. 
      “I feel like going into this season now, I’m very well prepared for it. Definitely it takes some conditioning to. 
      “I can see why the majority of winners are all ex-seasoned guys who have done it before, because it takes a lot out of you.” 
      Having come so close last season, only to lose in the last four, Loughnane is adamant now is the time to take home the belt and mega-bucks.
      He added: “I’m 32 now, I feel like my body is at its physical peak and the best condition it will be in my whole athletic career. 
      “I think now is the time to win the million and the title.”

      Francis Ngannou claims he will NEVER sign new UFC contract unless Tyson Fury fight is part of deal in huge hybrid bout

      UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has insisted he will NOT sign a new deal with the promotion unless a fight to face Tyson Fury is part of it.The 35-year-old is set to become a free agent in December, with The Predator already rejecting a new contract worth £5million.

      Ngannou wants more freedom in his contract and to be able to box with the UFC’s blessing.
      He is set to miss the remainder of the year after going under the knife last month to have an ACL reconstruction and an MCL repair.
      A fight against the Gypsy King was teased to fans on Saturday night after he was welcomed in the Wembley ring following Fury’s emphatic knockout victory against Dillian Whyte.
      Fury, who asked his potential opponent about the size of his manhood, confirmed his intentions to pit his wits against Ngannou.

      Declaring he will only sign a new UFC deal on one condition during an interview on The MMA Hour, he said: “The Tyson Fury fight has to be part of the discussion.
      “That’s not an option. It has to be part of the discussion because if that’s not part of the discussion, it will never be.
      “If I sign another contract now, basically the same model of the contract, I’m screwed.

      Masvidal was somewhat impressed with what he saw of The Problem Child in his second clash with Woodley – despite not being his biggest fan.
      He said: “His last fight I was there live, and the best thing that I saw from it is he got cracked numerous times in this last fight, and I think he even suffered a little headbutt.
      “I saw his face in that one round where he was like, ‘Oh s***, it’s a f****** real fight.’

      “And the next round he was still kind of down in belief, but eventually he came back and he started fighting harder and better.
      “So that’s the best thing I’ve seen about him so far. That he actually had real adversity.
      “Woodley caught him like two good shots and he kept his composure and fought through, so he’s definitely improved.
      “But Woodley is also a fighter that’s very good for him to fight. Woodley fights in spots, Woodley’s not crazy aggressive, he’ll explode on you with his one great shot.

      Ngannou is currently embroiled in a contract dispute with the UFC brass and has turned down a bumper new deal from the MMA promotion.
      The Cameroonian-born Frenchman – whose contract with UFC expires in December – wants the freedom to box in addition to a pay rise.
      Ngannou is set to miss the remainder of the year after going under the knife last month to have an ACL reconstruction and an MCL repair.

      “So it makes for an exciting fight. And I will try to come in at my heaviest for that fight.
      “I’ll try to come in over 300 pounds. Just to nail him to the canvas with one solid punch.”
      RETIREMENT VOW
      Fury came face-to-face with Whyte this week ahead of the clash on Saturday.
      And he reiterated his intention to quit boxing afterwards at the press conference, saying:
      “I’m happy to go back to Morecambe and be left alone.
      “I’m gonna delete my Instagram, I’m getting away from being a ‘star’.
      “I want to be left alone to live my normal little life, pathetic life I live in Morecambe Bay – going to school, taking out the bins, getting a haircut, valeting the car, going out once a week and training every day.

      The top four proceed to the play-offs, a two-round quarter-final and three-round semis on the same night and the winner advances to the championship finale.

      And while signed to Bellator, the Geordie Shore star was challenged by Taylor, who was 7-5 before also swapping the cage for the ring.
      Now the American claimed he and Chalmers have verbally agreed to fight this year.
