      Jake Paul’s sparring partner KICKED OUT of gym after ‘heated’ session with YouTuber in preparation for Tommy Fury fight

      JAKE PAUL has been accused of kicking his sparring partner out of the gym after a heated session. The YouTube star-turned prizefighter is training for his next professional bout, currently scheduled for August 13.

      Paul is in camp in Puerto Rico, where he now resides, and hired journeyman boxer Elie Augustama for sparring.
      But according to 6-18 Augustama the session turned sour after he accused the American of using roughhouse tactics.

      Augustama, 36, who has not won a fight in ten years, claimed he complained to Paul’s coach BJ Flores.
      But he said it led to his expulsion from the gym.
      Augustama continued: “They flipped on me, they didn’t even let me take my clothes off, they were like, ‘Get out’.
      “I have never, ever seen such a 180 flip. That’s normally what I do, because I’m going to push you.
      “You say you want results. I’m going to see if you really want those results.”

      Paul last fought in December in a short-notice rematch against Tyron Woodley, 40, after Tommy Fury, 23, pulled out of their grudge match.
      He knocked out replacement Woodley, having previously beaten the ex-UFC champion on points in August.
      It added to KOs over gamer ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
      But Paul has faced criticism of his opponents and record for not yet facing a recognised pro.
      That could change amid rumoured talks to reschedule his fight with Fury, even though Augustama warned him to carry on facing MMA stars.

      Eddie Hearn says Katie Taylor’s Croke Park rematch vs. Amanda Serrano is off as Puerto Rican ‘doesn’t want’ Ireland date

      KATIE TAYLOR’S potential rematch against Amanda Serrano in Ireland is all but off. Matchroom chief Eddie Hearn has confirmed that the Puerto Rican fighter doesn’t want to fight on the Emerald Isle.

      Serrano suffered a split decision loss to the ‘Bray Bomber’ at MSG last in front of reported sellout crowd of 19,187 in April.
      The three ringside judges scored it 97-93 and 96-93 for Taylor, with the third deeming it a Serrano fight at 96-94.
      Now speaking with Pro Boxing Fans website Taylor’s promoter Eddie Hearn says that Jake Paul headed MVP promotions don’t want a rematch or fight in Ireland this year.
      Hearn said: “They don’t want that fight unfortunately. They don’t want to go to Ireland; they don’t really want a rematch this year.
      “It was kind of like regardless of the offer, ‘we don’t want to do the rematch’.”
      Hearn says he believes Serrano wants another fight before a rematch to build some confidence.
      The promoter says the MVP fighter wants an August bout as he suggested the rematch might take place in 2023.
      He added: “Maybe we can do it next year.”
      Serrano tweeted that she will return to the ring in late summer, probably part of the undercard on Jake Paul’s expected pro scrap against Love Island’s Tommy Fury.
      Serrano’s unavailability means the potential Croke Park show planned for Taylor looks unlikely to happen.
      And all parties are understood to have taken a step back to reassess the viability of a stadium fight in Ireland due to PPV times, weather and curfew.
      But the news may open the door for a boxing return for former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm.
      MMA ace Holly Holm admitted recently that she would jump at the opportunity to fight Katie Taylor in the future.
      ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ is coming off a controversial split decision loss in her latest UFC outing Ketlen Vieira back in May.

      Holm is former multiple world boxing champion, and is set to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame this June. She will be inducted as part of the Class of 2022 at a ceremony in Canastota, N.Y.
      Holm is the most decorated female in combat sports history, and would arguably be a bigger draw than Serrano.
      Katie Taylor acknowledged last year that she may engage in a super-fight with MMA legends Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm at some point.

      He said: “There is no balance between modelling and training because I am rarely ever modelling.
      “My last modelling job was in 2020 so those type of gigs do not happen so often.
      “I am solely focused on finishing college and getting better in the gym.

      Hailing from the same family as one of boxing’s greatest ever fighters, Ali Walsh says his striking ability is one of his strong points.
      He revealed: “I would say that growing up in the world of boxing would make me a striker but I do find myself pretty well-rounded.

      UFC boss Dana White rules out entering ‘broken’ boxing world as sport is a ‘nightmare to try to fix’

      White went on to set up Zuffa Boxing in 2019 but has appeared to shelve his plans to restructure the sport five years after insisting he was “getting into boxing, 100 per cent.”
      During an appearance on Blockasset’s BLOCK Party, White said: “Every time I try to think about doing something with boxing, I go, ‘Why would I want to do this to myself?’
      “You know what I mean? Why would I even want to dive into this nightmare?
      “That’s why I haven’t really done anything. It’s a broken business that is an absolute nightmare to try to fix.”

      White believes the recent influx of freakshow fights in the sport in recent years is down to promoters not being able to connect with younger fans.
      In December 2020, he said: “The thing has been such a spiral, nose dive for so long, and what they haven’t done, is they haven’t done got any of that young generation, any of that younger crowd.
      “But it’d be crazy to say that these type of fights haven’t been popular anyway.
      “We were just talking the other day about the Tonya Harding fight when she fought, these celebrity fights that they were doing.
      “I think people are always going to be interested in that type of stuff.”

      O’Sullivan told the Irish Mirror: “Not a hope. He wouldn’t fight me at all. No chance. 100 per cent. Not a hope in hell.

      The Irishman, an amateur boxer in his teens, crossed over to the ring in 2017 but lost his professional debut to Floyd Mayweather, 45.

      McGregor was linked with a boxing bout against Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao, 43, in 2021.
      But the idea was scrapped after he was beaten by Dustin Poirier – the man he knocked out in 2014 – in their rematch in Abu Dhabi.
      It set up a trilogy bout which McGregor lost in disastrous fashion after breaking his leg against Poirier, 33, seconds before round one ended.
      The Dubliner has since been recovering after successful surgery last summer and continues to train for a return fight.
