McGregor has also entertained the idea of a lucrative bout with YouTuber turned boxer Paul, which former 185lb title challenger Costa reckons is an eventuality.
Borrachina recently tweeted a mock-up picture of McGregor being punched by Paul with the accompanying caption: “This day is coming.”
Costa’s legion of followers were quick to comment, with one saying: “Conor has gone from hero to zero in the last five years.
“I would not be surprised to see him fight Jake for the money.”

YouTube star Paul, 25, has already made a successful transition into the world of boxing.
Paul has won all five of his bouts, including two against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
And screenwriter Gregory Allen Howard reckons Bieber has the potential to follow in Paul’s footsteps after being left impressed by his boxing skills.
He told Vegas Insider: “From what I’ve seen of Justin Bieber, he has the talent and the boxing skill to crossover from an entertainment background into boxing – he has the ability to become the next Jake Paul.
