WALES take on USA in one of their World Cup group clashes this November – and what a game it should be. The Dragons already have an enticing affair with rivals England to contend with in Qatar.

But a match-up with the USA should also get fans buzzing with excitement.
Robert Page’s men will be desperate to reach the levels they did at major tournament level similar to Euro 2016 when Chris Coleman’s side reached the semi-finals.
USA missed out on the 2018 World Cup four years ago and will be wanting to leave a mark in the Middle East themselves.

When is Wales vs USA?

Wales’ clash with USA will get underway from 7pm UK time on November 21.
The clash will take place at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan.
The stadium was built in 2003 and can hold up to 50,000 fans.

What happened last time they played?
Wales and USA have only played each other twice in their history.
The first time they clashed was in 2003, where the Americans came out on top in a 2-0 win.
And they faced off again in 2020 in a friendly, which finished in a tame 0-0 draw. More

ENGLAND’s third and final Group B game at this year’s World Cup is against rivals Wales. The two sides haven’t played each other in a major tournament since Euro 2016, when England overcame their opponents 2-1 in the group stages.

England were knocked out of that tournament before Wales were but since then, the Three Lions have enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance.
They reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in 2018 before going a step further to play in the final against Italy in a losing effort at Euro 2020.
This time, they’ll be looking to go a step further by winning their first World Cup since 1966.
Wales reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016, despite that loss to England, but have failed to progress further at the two tournaments since, so the Dragons will looking to cause an upset.

England’s clash with Wales will get underway from 7pm UK time on Tuesday, November 29.
The game will be played at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar.

And the two sides are set to do it all over again in the Middle East this winter.
USA failed to qualify for the last World Cup, while England reached the semi-finals, where they were knocked out by Croatia in extra-time.
Gregg Berhalter’s side will be desperate to make an impact similar to the one they made in both 2010 and 2014, where they reached the knockout stages.
But England are hoping to win it all, so Southgate’s men will need to be laser-focused against a hungry USA side.

The game will be played at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar.
The stadium can hold up to 60,000 fans and was opened last year, specifically for the World Cup.

What happened last time?
England last played the USA at a major tournament at the World Cup in South Africa 10 years ago.
The Three Lions’ opening game of the tournament was against Bob Bradley’s side, who put in a very commendable performance in Bloemfontein.
The game got off to a good start for England, however, as after four minutes, Steven Gerrard put England in command with a slotted finish.
But just before half-time, Clint Dempsey equalised with a long-range effort that was spilled by goalkeeper Rob Green.
