Inter Milan vow to SELL Christian Eriksen in January if he wants to quit amid Man Utd transfer interest

INTER MILAN admit they will not stand in Christian Eriksen’s way if he wants to go in January.
The ex-Tottenham man, who has become an outcast in Antonio Conte’s side, is reported to be a Manchester United target and could be used as part of a swap deal with Fred.

Eriksen, 28, who completed a £17million January switch to the Serie A giants, is tied to a contract with the club until 2024.
But the Denmark playmaker has struggled to reproduce the form that made him a favourite of Spurs fans, and former boss Mauricio Pochettino, at the height of his six-and-half-year spell in North London.
And the former Premier League ace, who has made seven appearances across all competitions this season, is yet to net a goal or register an assist this term.

Ahead of Inter’s 4-2 win against Torino on Sunday, club chief Beppe Marotta stated Eriksen can leave the San Siro if he wants next year.
Marotta, 63, told DAZN: “Christian is acting like a professional but in January we’ll decide about his future.
“There are no advanced talks with any club at the moment, we’ll see in the next few weeks.
“Conte has answered exhaustively about him. We must not detain a player if he asks to be transferred.”

Eriksen last month warned Inter he is not happy warming the bench.

He said: “I don’t want to sit on the bench for the whole season.
“I hope this isn’t the coach’s or the club’s intention. It is going to be a busy season, a lot of games, I expect to play.
“There are many expectations on me, people thought I’d be the difference in every game, but it didn’t happen.
“That’s why they are looking at me with different eyes. I’ve had highs and lows after the lockdown.
“I had a great start with Inter after I arrived and now I am living in a new situation.”
Man United are reported to have joined Arsenal in the hunt for the Dane’s signature.
Reports in Italy suggest Inter may be open to considering a swap deal with the Red Devils.
Corriere Dello Sport via Football Italia claims Inter may propose a trade involving the Old Trafford giants Brazilian midfielder Fred.

Man Utd boss Solskjaer opens door to Phil Jones return after squad axe saying ‘he’ll be coming back soon’

PHIL JONES could be poised for a return to the Manchester United team despite not playing since January.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appeared to open the door to his potential return as he praised his efforts to get fit.

He said: “Phil has been injured and he’s had an operation and he’s working really hard to be back. He’ll hopefully get fit during December.”
Jones, 28, has made just two Premier League appearances since last season.
He was left out of United’s Premier and Champions League squads, which Solskjaer insisted was down to his injuries.

He added: “That was a natural thing, when you’re injured you can’t really be in the squad, can you? He’s working really diligently and he’ll be coming back soon.”

United seem to have had a change of heart about Jones who had been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in January.
SunSport revealed earlier this month that the Red Devils were demanding £20million for the centre-back.
But Jones was reluctant to leave and wanted to stay at United to fight for his place.
His determination to stay at the club may work in Solskjaer’s favour as they currently have limited choices in defence.

Solskjaer was speaking on the defender ahead of his 100th game at the helm of United.

He will chalk up his ton against bitter rivals Arsenal when the clubs meet on Sunday.
Speaking on reaching the momentous hurdle he said: “I’m surprised it’s 100 games.
“It’s gone really quickly and a lot has happened, so let’s hope I can celebrate with a good result.
“Arsenal is always going to be difficult, because they are a very good team with a good manager and I’m looking forward to it.”

Man Utd star Axel Tuanzebe, who kept Neymar and Mbappe at bay against PSG, also holds Hungry Hippos world record

IT was the night Axel Tuanzebe came of age.
Faced with superstars Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, the 22-year-old defender put on his best display in a Manchester United shirt – as the Red Devils shocked PSG to win 2-1 in the Champions League.

Now, he’s at the age where he can push for a first team spot and has given boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer another option in a defence that has seemed brittle at best this season.
But Tuanzebe also has a hidden talent, away from his footballing brilliance.
Incredibly, he holds a Guinness World Record for the fastest time to clear a game of Hungry Hippos.
    HUNGRY FOR SUCCESS
Just before Tuanzebe was sent on loan to Aston Villa in 2018, he joined his Manchester United team-mates on a preseason tour in Los Angeles.

There he was asked to take part in a game of Hungry Hippos for fun.
But somehow, as an individual, he finished it in just 17.37 seconds – managing to record a world record at the same time.
For those who missed out on the famous game as a child, it features four hippos in a circle with a handful of balls in the middle.
Players each choose a hippo and need to use it to collect as many marbles as possible before they are all taken.

    COMING OF AGE PERFORMANCE
The Congo-born defender, who moved to Rochdale as a child before joining United at the age of eight, found himself frozen out at Old Trafford with the signing of Harry Maguire.
His last appearance before his defensive masterclass in Paris came back in December 2019, so he could’ve been excused for rustiness.
However, his top-class display had Solskjaer purring – with pundits including Rio Ferdinand demanding Tuanzebe should be a starter.
After the PSG game, Solskjaer said: “We know that when you go away against a team like this, against players like Neymar and Mbappe, top, top players in the world, we know we have to defend well.
“We know David De Gea will have to make a few saves. Sometimes you’ll get in a foot race with Mbappe and you’ll have to run with him and we know Axel’s qualities – he’s a top defender.
“First game in, I don’t know, 10 months or something, which is just testament to the quality he has.”

    INJURY HELL
One of the reasons Tuanzebe was MIA for United was due to a series of niggling injuries that hampered what was supposed to be his breakthrough season with the Premier League giants in the past year.
And he admitted it certainly affected how he felt emotionally.
He said: “You’re just looking at the other lads progressing, the games being played, just counting the amount of games you’re missing and getting messages left, right and centre, asking when you’re coming back and stuff.
“It’s tough in that respect, but I’ve had good people around me who have kept me going, [who] motivate me every day, and I motivate myself to know that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
“(I’d like to say thanks) especially to the rehab and S and C [strength and conditioning] guys.
“I’m constantly with them every day, and trying to strengthen any weak parts and do general conditioning, so it’s been really good.”

Often preferring the central defensive role, the England youth international has sometimes been pushed out to right-back while he is capable of playing in the middle of park.
And he is hungry to prove his worth, telling the club’s TV channel: “Manchester has always been my home so to be amongst the lads again is great, I want to push on and show everyone I’m ready for it.”
After his display on Tuesday, he looks it.

Man Utd wonderkid Joe Hugill, aged 16, is 6ft 2in striker who plays like Kane and scored winning pen in EFL Trophy win

MESSI, Salah, Maradona… Joe Hugill is in good company.
Like those star forwards, the Manchester United wonderkid is blessed with a magical left foot capable of hurting the opposition.

It’s why the Red Devils paid Sunderland £300,000 for the 16-year-old back in the summer.
Hugill impressed with United’s U21 team in Tuesday’s EFL Trophy win over Rochdale, coming close when he hit the woodwork and scoring the winning penalty (with his right foot) in a shootout after the sides drew 0-0 after 90 minutes.
The 6ft 2in frame showed he is a capable target man – as comfortable receiving the ball on the deck as he is leaping for a long ball in the air.
Here’s why the Old Trafford hierarchy moved quick to secure Hugill’s services in the summer, beating off competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

    A TRUE MACKEM
Born and bred in Sunderland, Hugill spent his entire youth career at his boyhood club.
In recent years, the Black Cats have produced an incredible array of talent.
England goalie Jordan Pickford and Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson have risen to the top after coming through the ranks in the North East.
Josh Maja made waves in the Sunderland first team before he was signed by Bordeaux, where he is thriving in France.

And Sam Greenwood earned rave reviews for Arsenal’s youth sides, after joining the Gunners in 2018 from the EFL League One side, and recently earned a £3million move to Leeds United.
Like those mentioned, Hugill shone at the ‘Academy of Light’, playing for both the U18s and U23s.
    TECHNICALLY SOUND
First thing you’ll notice about Hugill’s game is his touch.
When the ball is played to feet it sticks, and he’s able to bring others into the game with his link-up play.
But there’s also goals to his game too.
On his Premier League 2 debut, with Sunderland rock bottom of the table, he scored twice against West Ham in a 4-2 defeat.
Hugill also scored a hat-trick against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Youth Cup – alerting scouts to his abilities.

    6

Although more slight in build, he has been compared to England hotshot Harry Kane in terms of his style of play.
He’s not blessed with pace, but he certainly knows where the goal is.
    UNITED’S YOUTH PUSH
Hugill is seen as one for the future by Nicky Butt, now head of first team development, but was formerly overseeing their youth set-up.

The graduate of the ‘Class of ’92’ oversaw the arrivals of Tahith Chong, Charlie McCann, France youth stars Aliou Traore and Hannibal Mejbri, Arnau Puigmal, and Largie Ramazani in that role, until Nick Cox took over the reigns last year.
And with his recommendation, Hugill was added to that list of promising youngsters.
Perhaps the class of 2020 can be just as impressive as Beckham, the Nevilles, Scholes and Co in years to come.

Man Utd new boy Marc Jurado holds record for fastest ever youth goal scored for Barcelona at just FIVE seconds

HE’S no slouch, that’s for sure.
Manchester United are on the verge of announcing the exciting signing of Marc Jurado, 16, from Barcelona in a deal reported to be worth £1.5million.

Jurado confirmed the move on Instagram, and is believed to be waiting for international clearance before United announce the deal themselves.
The Catalans will be sad to see him go, after it was said they offered the galloping right back a three-year contract, which he snubbed.
And Red Devils fans will be licking their lips at this clip of the incredible talent scoring the fastest recorded youth goal ever – just five seconds after kick off!
Meet the talent that could become a star at Old Trafford.

    QUICK OFF THE MARK
Back in 2013, in a game against Viladecans, Jurado made a statement for Barcelona’s U10 side.
From kick off, the electric defender was switched on to intercept a pass, before racing past two players and cooly slotting the ball past the keeper.
Not only did it get people talking about him, the strike earned him a place in the record books.
Jurado’s goal was the fastest ever recorded at youth level – an impressive five seconds.

    WHO IS HE?
Jurado was born in Sabadell, some 18 miles from Barcelona, in Catalunya.
He showed promise playing for his local team, CFU Can Rull before he joined La Masia at the tender age of seven.
Jurado was considered an important part of Barcelona’s future, and after tying down Ansu Fati and Ilaix Moriba to long-term contracts their hierarchy were hopeful Jurado would follow suit.
But, it is believed that he feels he would have a better chance of first team football playing for United.

WHAT KIND OF PLAYER IS HE?
A modern full-back in the Spanish mould of Bellerin, Jurado does his best work going forward.
Blessed with bags of pace, he constantly looks to overlap and provide an attacking threat on the right-hand side.
He was one of the best players in Barcelona’s Cadet A team this season, and it was expected that he was going to promoted to their Juvenil B side.
    HE’S GOT COMPETITION
As good as Jurado is, he can’t expect to walk straight into United’s team anytime soon.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 22, has made the right back position his own since arriving from Crystal Palace in a £50million deal, and will take some shifting.
However, Jurado will offer the England defender the healthy competition for places that every good side needs.
And in a few years, we might just see a United team dominating again – like they did in the 90s and noughties.
