It came after the Irishman called for Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s role to be ‘rearranged’ in another deleted post.
McGregor, 33, tweeted: “The issue at United is it’s just bunch of young fellas talking to each other. Peers.
“You need some one above the group chat to take the helm. Ole was on the bench when Ronaldo played. A peer. Not enough.
“Love and respect Ole to the max but his role needs rearranged. My opinion.”
But McGregor denied he was firmly in the ‘Ole Out’ brigade.
He responded: “Never Ole out you silly fool. Ole is forever United!

“His role simply needs to be readjusted, and again, someone above the group chat needs brought in.
“Someone to command the young squad. God bless.”
United were thrashed 5-0 at home against Liverpool last Sunday, mounting huge pressure on Solskjaer.
His job is deemed safe for now, but his future could be decided after their next two matches, away trips to Spurs in the league and then Atalanta in Europe.
It is believed the board – including club icon Alex Ferguson – are prepared to give the under-fire manager time to turn things around.
But without a win in five matches, their last coming almost one month ago at West Ham, Solskjaer desperately needs a change of fortune.

SunSport revealed United have already drawn up a four-man shortlist of potential candidates to replace the Norwegian.
It includes Antonio Conte, Zinedine Zidane, Brendan Rodgers and Erik ten Hag.

Similarly, Zidane is out of work since walking out of Real Madrid for the second time.
Rodgers, an ex-Liverpool boss, has emerged as one of the best managers in the country at Leicester, winning the FA Cup last season.
And Ten Hag is currently in charge at Ajax, where he has won two Dutch league titles.

Danny Mills brands Man Utd ‘s***’ live on Sky Sports while thinking show had gone to ad break in huge gaffe

DANNY MILLS was caught branding Manchester United ‘s***’ live on Sky Sports while thinking the show had gone to an advertisement break. The former City defender featured as a pundit alongside current Middlesbrough centre-back Sol Bamba.
Danny Mills, far right, was caught branding Manchester United ‘s***’ live on Sky Sports
And while Mills thought The Football Show had cut to a break, he was captured slamming United in what will go down as an almighty TV gaffe.
Presenter Pete Graves told the guests: “Great chat lads there, well done, that was really interesting. We could have listened to you all day chat about…
But then Mills interrupted: “Basically, United are s***. But they are.”
The brutal assessment drew laughs from Bamba and Graves, but the show quickly cut to a break soon after.
Mills was discussing United’s recent 5-0 home thrashing against Liverpool last Sunday.
It has mounted huge pressure on Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but his job is deemed safe for now.

Solskjaer future could be decided after United’s next two matches, away trips to Tottenham in the league and then Atalanta in Europe.

‘I’m not on the pitch’ – Sub Jesse Lingard responds to irate Man Utd fans during Liverpool humiliation

Lingard, 28, was an unused substitute during the clash between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men and Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Footage shared on Twitter shows the England and United ace responding to shouts and chants from some supporters by stating: “I’m not on the pitch”.
SportBible reports that the video was apparently filmed in the first half with United 4-0 down by half-time in a Prem game for the first time in the club’s history.
And scores of home supporters were filmed leaving Old Trafford during the break.
Man United, who were looking to pick up their first win in three top-flight games had come into the match buoyed by their thrilling fight back against Atalanta in the Champions League.
SunSport revealed club talisman Cristiano Ronaldo had reportedly given his team-mates the hairdryer treatment in a bid to inspire them to victory in that encounter.

But any hopes of the team repeating their Champions League heroics in this match were blown away by Klopp’s stars’ ruthlessness in front of goal.
Naby Keita opened the scoring for the Anfield side in the fifth minute before Diogo Jota doubled the visitors’ lead within the games’ first quarter.
And Mo Salah, who has scored in ten consecutive games, notched up two goals before half-time.
The second spell saw Solskjaer attempt to turn things by making his first substitution.

And the Red Devils boss brought on Paul Pogba, who was seen warming up next to Lingard earlier on.
But the France ace ended up being sent off in the 60th minute following a two-footed lunge on Naby Keita which saw the Reds star stretchered off.
And Pogba’s red card means the midfielder will miss United’s duel with Man City on Saturday.

‘Not my time’ – Man Utd’s Ronaldo, 36, rules out international retirement with Portugal after breaking goal record

CRISTIANO RONALDO ruled out international retirement and said: “It’s not my time yet.”The Portugal captain, 36, became the all-time top scorer in men’s international football last month.

He surpassed Ali Daei’s previous record of 109 for Iran and has since pulled further ahead – now sitting on 115 goals.
Portugal surrendered the European Championship in the summer after being knocked out by Belgium in the last 16.
And Ronaldo – who lifted the trophy in 2016 – is hungry for more ahead of the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar in December next year.
Quizzed by Sky Sports on international retirement, he said: “But why? I think it’s not my time yet. It’s not what people want, it’s what I want.
“It’s when I feel that I’m not capable to run, to dribble, to shoot, if the power is gone… but I still have that stuff so I want to continue because I’m still motivated.
“It’s the main word – [motivated] to do my stuff, to make people happy and my family happy and the fans and myself. I want to put the level even higher.

“You speak about Portugal but in the Champions League I have the most goals, the most wins, assists… everything.
“But I want to carry on. I like to play football. I feel good to make people happy.”
Ronaldo first left Manchester United in 2009 in a then-record £80million move to Real Madrid.
From the Spanish capital, he then joined Juventus but after three years a dramatic move back to Old Trafford was sealed.
The forward already has six goals in all competitions this season, but warned he is more concerned about the club’s achievements over the year.
But why? I think it’s not my time yet. It’s not what people want, it’s what I want. Cristiano Ronaldo on international retirement
Ronaldo added: “I don’t speak only about my individual stuff, I put the collective in first place.
“To win things as a collective, it’s more easy to win individual stuff, I still think it’s possible.
“Everyone should know their role. I know my role in the team, in the club… my role is to score goals, to help the team with my experience and know-how to understand the game.
“If everyone is thinking like that, sacrifice for the team, I think we will be a better team.
“We have fantastic supporters behind us, fantastic stadium, fantastic team, so we have to carry on like that.”

Man Utd star Paul Pogba says Muhammad Ali was his ‘hero’ growing up and reveals what he learned from boxing legend

PAUL POGBA has revealed Muhammad Ali was his ‘hero’ growing up and learned lessons from the heavyweight boxing legend. The Manchester United midfielder explained it was Ali’s civil rights activism and impact he made outside of the ring which inspired him most.

Speaking to Sky Sports for Black History Month, Pogba, 28, said: “He was someone that I think kind of saved lives.
“A hero is somebody that saves lives, that helps people, and I think that is what he did.
“He saved a lot of people, but not by taking somebody out of the fire, but just by giving a good message, helping the world, saying the truth when it was difficult to say, at a time when it was difficult for black people.
“He spoke for the black community and helped us to have freedom today.”
Pogba carries the same level of confidence on the field that Ali did in the ring.
And the 2018 World Cup winner also shares the same religion as the boxing icon, who died in 2016, as the pair both converted to Islam during their careers.

Pogba said: “I would say I learned a bit from him, how to be confident with yourself and just being yourself. That is something I cannot change.
“I like smiling, joking, laughing and dancing. This is me and I just like to be myself.
“Also, he is a converted man and I am converted also, so it was very interesting for me to learn about his story.
“Everyone has his own history so I was interested to know about his.”

‘Knocks and bruises’ – Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits Bruno Fernandes is ‘a doubt’ for Liverpool derby clash

MANCHESTER UNITED manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted Bruno Fernandes is a ‘doubt’ to play Liverpool. The midfielder played the full 90 minutes on Wednesday as United came from two down to dramatically beat Italians Atalanta 3-2.

But Fernandes has been left feeling the effects of the late comeback win, and could miss Liverpool’s trip on Sunday, as first revealed by SunSport.
Solskjaer said: “It might be that I can pick from a fully fit squad, it might be that I’m without two or three and yes, Bruno might be one that might be a doubt, but he’s doing everything he can to be ready.
“It was a great effort and great atmosphere towards the end, another of the great Champions League nights at Old Trafford, a great comeback, which will bring some knocks and bruises, which normally you will expect.
“It’s Friday, the game’s on Sunday. We’ll give everyone time. We might have the whole squad back fit, we might be two or three players down.
“Today we didn’t have everyone but let’s see Sunday.”
Brazilian Fred was replaced by Nemanja Matic after 88 minutes at Old Trafford and also faces a fitness test ahead of the weekend.

Solskjaer said: “At present, I can’t say if he’s going to be fit or not but he’ll give everything he can to be there for us.
“He’s sharp, he’s nimble, he gets to players, he’s never afraid. The development he’s made in the last two and a half years has been great to watch.
“It showed when he got injured last season, six to eight-week injury and he was back before the Europa League final.
“He joined the training session, we strapped him up and if I’d known before I’d have played him.

“He would put his hand up and sacrifice himself for the team, that’s for sure.”
United come into the game without a Premier League win in three matches, losing to Leicester and Aston Villa with a draw against Everton in between.
Liverpool meanwhile are second in the table, a point behind Chelsea, having remained unbeaten so far.

Man Utd legend Wayne Rooney reveals his best goal ever – and it’s not THAT iconic overhead kick against City

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Wayne Rooney revealed his best goal ever – and it’s not THAT iconic overhead kick against City.Rooney won 12 major honours during his 13 years at Old Trafford, including five Premier League titles and is the club’s all-time leading goal scorer with 253 goals in 559 appearances.
Wayne Rooney scored a sensational overhead kick against City in 2011
Wayne Rooney’s best goal is this strike against Wigan, according to the Manchester United legend
The goal the former Red Devils ace, 34, is perhaps most known for is his sensational overhead kick against Manchester City in 2011.

Nani whipped the ball into the box before the ex-England skipper found the net with an incredible bicycle kick to win the match 2-1.
But Rooney previously revealed in The Sunday Times that while that is his favourite goal, his strike against Wigan in December 2009 is the best in terms of craft.
In his column he said: “When asked my favourite goal, I always say the overhead kick versus City — but we’re talking, here, about the craft of goalscoring, how it’s about teamwork, movement, control and timing and a goal that probably few people remember sticks out for me.
“It came versus Wigan, when Rafael crossed from the right and my timing was literally perfect. I got across the centre back, got a nick on the ball and the keeper had no chance.”
The Manchester United legend, who now manages Derby in the Championship, revealed that former Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson, taught him how to stay sharp up until the dying moments of a game.

The 35-year-old said: “You learn little things along the way. The best advice I received was from Fergie.
“He’d say, ‘You’re working too hard,’ and at first I thought, ‘What do you mean? Isn’t that what you want?’
“But I used to try to run as hard as I could for 90 minutes and in the last ten minutes be tired. The manager wanted his strikers to keep a little bit in the tank, because that match-winning chance might not arrive until the 90th minute — Fergie time!
Rooney also gave credit to current United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for teaching him valuable tricks of the trade during his time at Old Trafford.
He said: “Before joining United, I’d seen Solskjaer scoring all these goals by shooting through defenders’ legs — incredible. I watched him in training, I spoke to him: ‘How do you know what the defender is going to do?’
“It was quite simple. Ole explained that when you shape to shoot, defenders tend to stick their leg out to try and block and that makes a gap.
“He perfected the technique. And it’s harder for the keeper because they don’t see the ball when it leaves your foot. I scored one past Joe Hart against Manchester City that way.”

Paul Pogba raises heat Man Utd boss Solskjaer as he questions ‘mentality and tactics’ in shocking Leicester loss

PAUL POGBA piled the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by insisting: We deserved to lose and need to change.Manchester United crashed to another dismal defeat as their English league record 29-game unbeaten away run ended at Leicester.
Paul Pogba admitted Manchester United ‘deserved to lose’ against LeicesterCredit: Getty
The Red Devils have won just two of their last seven matches in all competitions.
And midfielder Pogba, 28, said: “We’ve been having these kind of games for a long time and we haven’t solved the problem, conceding easy, stupid goals.
“Fans are going to push, there’s going to be pressure on us and everything. We need to be mature and play with more experience and arrogance in a good way.
“We need to find something, we need to change.
“Now we have to find what’s key to the games we lose, because we deserved to lose. It’s frustrating.
“We need to find the right mentality and tactic.”
Solskjaer admitted he made a mistake in bringing back Harry Maguire after the captain completed one training session following a calf injury.

Maguire’s error led to Youri Tielemans’ first-half equaliser after Mason Greenwood’s rocket.
And  the return of the England defender could not prevent United shipping three more bad goals — including two from  set-pieces.
Boss Ole said: “He’s a  massive player for us, he’s our captain.
“He worked hard with the physios. If that doesn’t work out — and sometimes it doesn’t — and when we concede four, I probably made a few bad decisions.”
As well as Maguire, Pogba and Jadon Sancho were also poor but there was a goal-scoring comeback for Marcus Rashford.
United host Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday before arch- rivals Liverpool visit Old Trafford next Sunday.
Solskjaer, 48, added: “The whole performance, it wasn’t good enough.
“We need to look at the whole set-up of the team.
“It shouldn’t be a wake- up call because we’ve had them before.
“They’ve got to look at themselves in the mirror. I’ve already looked at myself. You’ve got to respond to setbacks.”
We deserved to lose. To be honest, we have been having these kind of games for a long time.Paul Pogba
United were also forced to defend their decision to fly the 100 miles to the East Midlands on Friday.
The club stated they would not normally fly but plans changed due to “circumstances”.
Leicester, who also scored through Caglar Soyuncu, Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka, were excellent value for their first Prem win since August.
Boss Brendan Rodgers said: “It was more like what we’re used to seeing.
“It was a really aggressive, emotional game and when we press the opposition like that it makes us very difficult to play against.
“We scored four goals — and we could have scored more.”
