The Spaniard has won a total of 32 major trophies across his managerial career and he is the second manager after Sir Alex Ferguson back in 1999 to have won a treble in English football.

Guardiola said: “I would like to have the experience of living through a World Cup, or a Euro or a Copa America, or whatever it is. I would like that.”
Despite expressing his interest working on the international stage, he insists the country would have to make it clear he was their No1 choice for the job.
Guardiola added: “I don’t know who would want me.

“To work for a national team they have to want you, just like a club,”
The Man City manager further explained in his interview that he would never have imagined winning major honours as a manager when he first started.
He went to explain that managing at a World Cup would be the pinnacle.
Guardiola explained: “I don’t know when that would be, if that is five, 10, 15 years from now but I would like to have the experience of being a manager in a World Cup.”

Guardiola completed a full house of club trophies in Manchester after Man City beat Fluminense last year to win the Fifa Club World Cup.
He said then: “I had a feeling all the titles you can win, we have done it. It’s unbelievable what we have done.
“We try to buy a new book and start to write beautiful histories.

Guardiola insisted he had done things the right way in speaking to the £45million signing privately BEFORE telling the world.
The Etihad chief added: “I spoke about that. Before our game, I spoke to him.
“Before I say something here, I speak with the players — and I did in that case.”
Phillips, 28, started just two Premier League games in 18 months at City — and only six matches in total.

He said: “After the World Cup was probably the toughest, when Pep came out and said I was overweight.

The packaging features the blond icon flaunting his winning pose beside his signature and a picture of the ice cream.
City fans will be gutted to see that the stunning new product, released on February 19, will only be available in Norway.
The 23-year-old’s new venture has certainly sent fans wild, with one commenting on X: “We will be buying.”

And another said: “Is that healthy for a footballer.”
A frozen mixture of sugar and cream certainly seems a long way off the Norwegian’s usual diet of heart, liver and water that has first passed through a complex filtration device.

The promotion of an ice-cream does seem a little out of line with this philosophy.

And it is not the first time Haaland has flirted with the frozen foods sector.
During City’s treble celebrations the star blew fans away when he began serving them slushies and treats from inside a food van.
The health issue was not the only thing raising eyebrows amongst fans.
Haaland’s bold choice of sitting position also set some X, formerly Twitter, users off, with one urging him to ‘close your legs.’

Bellingham’s incredible form has arguably made him the best midfielder in the world, although former Man City defender Mills doesn’t believe Pep Guardiola would take him at this moment in time.
During a recent edition of Sky’s Soccer Special, he said: “If you offered Bellingham to Pep now, I’m not sure he’d take him.
“Because he doesn’t fit into that midfield.”
Mills’ claim left former Aston Villa midfielder Hendrie absolutely flabbergasted, with the 46-year-old saying: “What a bad shout that was.

“Wouldn’t want Bellingham in his side?”
Mills refused to back down, insisting Bellingham wouldn’t displace any of City’s current midfielders – despite his insane debut season at the Bernabeu.
He hit back: “But he wouldn’t. Who would you put him in instead of?”
Hendrie replied: “He had the likes of [Ilkay Gundogan in his side where he goes and plays forward.”

That prompted Mills to ask: “But would he play ahead of [Phil] Foden, [Kevin] De Bruyne, Rodri, Bernardo Silva? Would Pep buy him? Does he need him?”
Hendrie continued to fight his corner by saying: “Bellingham is one of the best players in the world.”
New footage shows Jude Bellingham losing it with referee in Real Madrid clash and swearing at him in heated scenes
A passionate Mills then said of Guardiola, who once hailed Bellingham as the ‘whole package’: “He’s got that incredible balance in the midfield.
“He doesn’t play ahead of Kevin de Bruyne, who we’ve just said is the best midfielder in the world.”
Hendrie quickly snapped back at the notion that he thinks Bellingham would relegate De Bruyne to the bench
“I’m not saying he does,” he said. ‘I’m saying he plays in that team.”
Hendrie was left perplexed after Mills then claimed Guardiola wouldn’t drop either Rodri or Silva to accommodate Bellingham, asking: “You don’t think so?”
That question prompted Mills to simply say: “Not the way City play.”

Hendrie, however, refused to back down, insisting Bellingham would get into “any team” before jokingly claiming he’d even have him “play in goal”.
Bellingham will miss Real’s trip to Rayo Vallecano on Sunday due to the ankle injury he picked up in Los Blancos’ 4-0 win over Girona last Saturday, in which he scored a brace.

Cancelo set to stay at Barcelona but cash-strapped LaLiga giants may have to talk Man City into another loan transfer

BARCELONA are increasingly confident that on-loan Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo will stay at the Nou Camp. But the cash-strapped Catalans may have to talk City into another loan deal if they are to get their wish.

Cancelo has been one of the success stories of a difficult season for Barca and is believed to want to remain at the club.
The Portugal international has more than three years left on his City contract but the Premier League champions are in no hurry to have him back after his falling-out with boss Pep Guardiola.
City would prefer to offload Cancelo this summer on a permanent deal to the highest bidder.
But reports in Spain suggest agent Jorge Mendes is working hard to find a way his client could remain at Barcelona.

The club’s ongoing financial problems will make it difficult for them to fund a big-money deal for Cancelo this year while at the same time revamping an under-performing squad.
A loan deal with a decent fee and an obligation to buy would be one way to keep everyone happy.
Cancelo, 29, has featured in all but one of Barcelona’s LaLiga games this season and was involved in all six Champions League group games.
Just as at City, his ability to play as a defender on both flanks, as well as further forward, has proved useful.
