BARCELONA have reportedly agreed personal terms with Bernardo Silva but will only be able to complete his signing if Frenkie de Jong leaves.Man City star Silva has been a long-term target for the Spanish giants, and could finally make his transfer over to them this summer.

However, due to Barcelona’s financial limitations, they cannot complete a deal for the Portuguese playmaker unless they sell Manchester United linked De Jong.
Reports earlier this month indicated United had agreed a transfer fee with Barcelona for the transfer of the Dutchman.
However, the midfielder is happy in Spain and remains reluctant to move to The Red Devils.
This is despite Barcelona pushing for him to either leave the club or take a substantial pay cut in an ultimatum offered earlier this week.

MANCHESTER CITY have given up in their pursuit to sign Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella, according to reports.The Sky Blues are in need of a new full-back following the departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko last week.

Pep Guardiola identified Cucurella, 24, as a top transfer target when the window opened last month, but Brighton are demanding at least £50million for his services.

MANCHESTER CITY stars were called out for rejecting Community Shield runners-up medals. The Premier League champions were beaten 3-1 in the curtain raiser against their rivals.

And according to ITV, Pep Guardiola’s side refused to acknowledge their runners-up medals.
Some fans pointed out that in 2019, when City won the league, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, they counted the Community Shield.
They even described the side as “Fourmidables” in a nod to the number of trophies won that season.
So it is no surprise that when City refused their second-place medals, fans hit out.

However, it now seems a deal could be dead in the water after Brighton took issue with Man City’s negotiation tactics coming down to small incremental increases in their offer.
The Athletic report Brighton will now only come back to the negotiating table if City submit an offer which meets their valuation of the player.
They have told Pep Guardiola’s side to cough up at least £50million in order to sign the defender, but the latest bid came in at just £30m.
